Well put MG. Mark is not given enough credit for the infrastructure he has created. Before it is brought up true, no revenue yet but the amount of households under contract, views as per Rentrack, companies partnered with is worth $$$.
People need to realize this was started with the remorphed vision 4 years ago. This didn't happen by luck. Also while the company found it's vision over the last 12 years it never sold out the share structure or the share holders. 61 mm OS for a 12 yr fully reporting OTC is nothing.
Now we have as said real heavyweights in Peter H and David T. A BOD said to me that Peter is the kind of can do guy that Mark needed to get this thing off the ground. I believe it is around the corner.
You haven't wasted your money. Granted it hasn't been doing much for you but in the not so distant future I believe you will reap rewards. If you need the money then take your cash.
I have been involved with the company since its inception and while it has not generated revenue they have never sold out the company or the shareholders. 60mm shares over 12 years for a fully reporting OTC is unheard of.
For the record I don't think the company has a NS problem. Just lack of news and revenues. I think we hear soon about the former and as I always have said I'm waiting till 3rd Q for revs. JMO
Really spells out where we are going. Glad I loaded my boat!
Love what Fred said, "The sponsorship with Sea World is just the first of several we plan on doing."
This company is going to rock!!!
TJ, I understood it as the buyer would be filing not the seller.
LOL No, David Tice is not selling but that was pretty witty of you Kez.
Who did Mark Bradley steal from?
Mark sacrificed himself and personal life for the company. His credit went bad because he put his company first.
For 12 yrs he didn't take a salary. Let his personal bills slip so his company could run and employees be paid. He never sold his company out, never took toxic financing. He didn't fold the company or dilute the shit out of the stock and protected every person who ever invested.
Mark sucked it up for everyone else. Say what you will but everyone here is getting a fair shot. Rarely do you find CEOs who care more about the company and it's shareholders than they do their pockets.
Actually Alan, I am pretty sure Players Network doesn't have anything to do with Monk anymore and I don't think there is a huge short position. Perhaps a small short position (normal in pennies) but nothing to create "the MOASS". LOL
Players Network is appealing to investment groups because of their low OS, tightly held float and the fact they are a real company with a tangible foot hold in an emerging industry.
The only thing that will make this go up is earnings and the implementation of their 2011 outlook. The former is dependent on the latter. Everything is moving along just fine, albeit a slow for most, myself included. I'm looking forward to Q3.
I sent an email to get clarification. I'm pretty sure it was a typo.
As for the .23 execution price isn't that the same price David Tice paid for his shares? Looks like the CEO is also putting money into the company at a premium as well.
That's $200k more of working capital. My guess is we see the platform launch with in the next few weeks if not a lot sooner as well as news related to the 2011 Outlook statement..
I guess you can say that is putting your money where your mouth is.
Whoever wrote the thread, trusco or chop, could you clarify please.
Actually NO, If you take a moment to follow the thread back to it's original author you will clearly see that it is Surfline.com the comparison is made to.
They are comparing to the site called Surfline.com not Netflix.
I actually asked the CEO about the similarities. PNTV is light years ahead of what they are doing in terms of concept. I hope to be able to post his responses shortly.
As for revenues let's let them launch their platform before we answer that question. Been here a long time and willing to let it finally unfold.
Did a little digging for you guys. Started to look into their management. These guys are doers. Check out the link and you will see the connection. PNTV is really getting involved with some accomplished people. Enjoy the read.

Perhaps he is going on vacation for a month or more and wanted a few extra spending dollars. If I had to venture a guess I would say that is the reason.
Very True.
I don't think David Tice expected or cared about a return on his investment in the first quarter of the deal.
What really stands out to me is David Tices ability to see a winner across a broad variety of industries. Bodes well for Players Network.
PS
Spoke to the CEO over the weekend. Everyone needs to calm down. Life is great in Players World.
I'm in the know and I don't expect anything but great things for this company. Price may fluctuate a little but by years end I believe we will all be very happy.
Peter Heumiller was hired. That was the first piece. Second piece is to get the platform launched. All efforts focus on that right now according to my conversation with Mark. Company won't PR anything until it's completed.
This is not a day trading stock. Never has been despite what some think. It has been a long time coming but CEO has kept share structure very shareholder friendly, they now have a defined direction with money and the right people in place to make it all come together.
TJ, would love to see the SAR flip underneath. Does that look like it's about to happen? A friend is always talking about that as being important.
Just the beginning TA. A little time and patience, let the year play out and management unfold it's business plan. It's gonna be fun.
Common, all those other stocks ran tens of thousands of percent. I think that is what he meant. This didn't even see a double. That's not a run.
K, I speak with the CEO regularly. Things are great in Players world. Better than most think. As the months unfold everyone will see. Agreed no buying, the street is cautious and waiting to see if Mark can perform.
What he has done to date is create relationships with the biggest media companies in the country, managed to run a 12 year fully reporting company while issuing ONLY 60mm shares never screwing over share holders, over 50 million views per Rentrak. Give the company some credit and a little time meaning 2011. You will be glad you did.
K, Where do you see a high of .72? On 6/07/10 PNTV hit it's 52 week high of .405.
Pacific Stock Transfer in Vegas 702 361 3033.
I think there are many on the side lines waiting to see if PNTV can execute on it's 2011 objectives. What I find to be most encouraging is that there is no sell off. Peeps are holding strong. I am close to the company and as far as I know and see everything is firing on all cylinders and I'm talking a V12!
GM MG, I love todays news. Peter Heumiller brings a wealth of experience and contacts not mention the creativity an forward vision that has allowed him to create everything listed in his bio. Future is very bright IMO.
Too Funny! You are right the consummate short. He must feel strongly about PNTVs future to go long. Everything I read about him says he is not just a bear but really is an opportunist. Smart Money he is (in my best Yoda).
Don't forget Mr. Tices PRIVATE PLACEMENT came after it all occurred. Had plenty of time to do his DD and make his decision. I'm loving the methodical implementation of PNTVs stated 2011 outlook. Slow and steady, no hype, just execution!
Great hire with Peter Heumiller. His credentials are very impressive. Looking at what he's done the man is a revenue making machine! He is going to bring alot to the table for our not so little PNTV.
My 1m plus aren't going anywhere till we seek higher listings. David Tices 6mm aren't going anywhere. How about you MG?
I agree. That is just what is posted on Yahoo and Ameritrade. I thought the float was 28 million. They don't always update when they should. I'll try to send an email to get them to correct it.
OS is 59.5m and float is 39.2m according to Yahoo and Ameritrade. I thought the float was 28m but I will ask the CEO. Also David Tice bought 6m shares on the open market, 10% of the company, effectively taking them out of the float.
Nice moves on small buys. Any real buying will send this skyward but it is the implementation of what CEO outlined that will sustain and propel this COMPANY (not just stock) to it's real potential. All IMO.
Yes Sir! PNTV has been building the infrastructure the past 4 years. Technology and business plan now converge. I believe we will hear updates shortly that will show why and where we are going. IMO of course.
Easy enough to see the contracts they have in place with Comcast, ATT Uverse, Direct TV, Tivo 28 million homes with a total of 53 million under contact, over 50mm original videos viewed. Now with the Tice investment gives PNTV capital to operate, and at very favorable terms.
We have a 12 year fully reporting OTC company with an O/S of 60mm. This OBVIOUSLY is a company NOT dumping shares into the market. I like that kind of history.
I know! What an amazing company. Nothing but good news. LOC, 36 new releases on dvd/blue ray, theatrical releases. Even in a down economy people spend their money on inexpensive entertainment. Cha Ching!! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. You da man!
Not according to Investapedia.
Again below this is a direct copy from their site. You are correct about the preferred shares. They are convertible 1 to 1. You are also right it has not had the immediate impact we thought it would but it IS a shareholder and company friendly deal. I am very excited about what is coming down the line. Feel free to speculate as you will but I am pretty sure 2011 will prove my expectations to come true.
What Does Private Investment in Public Equity - PIPE Mean?
A private investment firm's, mutual fund's or other qualified investors' purchase of stock in a company at a discount to the current market value per share for the purpose of raising capital. There are two main types of PIPEs - traditional and structured. A traditional PIPE is one in which stock, either common or preferred, is issued at a set price to raise capital for the issuer. A structured PIPE, on the other hand, issues convertible debt (common or preferred shares).
I don't know why you keep referring to Mr. Tices INVESTMENT into Players Network as PIPE funding. PIPE funding is sold to the investor or fund at a discount to market. Mr. Tices shares were priced at a premium to market. PIPE funders usually go and sell their shares immediately. His shares would have to be registered before sold. This is a very different kind of raising capital. Below is the Investipedia definition of PIPE funding.
