Horizon Health International Corp. Requests FDA Label Approval for Anti-Oxidant Effects
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Oct. 6, 2010 (Marketwire) -- HORIZON HEALTH INTERNATIONAL CORP. (PINK SHEETS:HZHI) (the Company) is pleased to announce additional FDA Label application of Enteric Lactoferrin.
Mr. Rocco Di Fruscia, President of Horizon Health International Corp., an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company is pleased to announce that NRL Pharma Canada Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of HORIZON, has requested FDA Label approval of the claims in the US Patent Application Number 20090082269 to commercialize this application for the Antioxidant Effects of its Enteric Lactoferrin. The analyst cites data compiled by the Nutrition Business Journal which indicates sales of Antioxidant supplements have grown from $2 billion in 1997 to $3 Billion in 2005 and will continue to grow at an enormous pace with an aging US population.
Antioxidant for lipids
In Fenton's reaction, the addition of catalysts, namely, Fe2+ and Cu+, markedly promoted hydroxyl radical production in the cell environment. Lactoferrin effectively scavenges those excess ions from the cell environment and inhibits Fenton's cycling that is responsible for hydroxyl radical production.
Antioxidant for DNA
The hydroxyl radical occasionally oxidizes nuclear and mitochondrial DNA. Oral administration of lactoferrin in Long-Evans cinnamon rats (an animal model of Wilson disease) resulted in reduced 8-hydroxy-2 OE-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in mitochondrial DNA extracted from the liver. 8-OHdG is a DNA base modified by the hydroxyl radical and is known to be an oxidative stress marker.
The Company's business:
HORIZON's Subsidiary 'New Release Lactoferrin Pharma Canada Inc.' is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company that is committed to supply its Patented delivery systems of enteric lactoferrin, and "PEG-lactoferrin". We have already introduced enteric lactoferrin products in the market as a supplemental food and have also undertaken projects to further study these products and increase their pharmaceutical applications. Since 2008, the company's proprietary enteric lactoferrin has already earned top market share amongst all lactoferrin-containing products.
Forward-looking statements in this release are made pursuant to the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Such forward-looking statements involve risks and uncertainties, including, without limitation, continued acceptance of the Company's products, increased levels of competition, new products and technological changes, dependence upon third-party suppliers, intellectual property rights, and other risks detailed from time to time in the Company's periodic reports.

Garb John Rossi (OTCBB: GARB) Introduces Its E-Waste Recycling Secondary Shredder and Granulators, Available for Sale Immediately (OTCQB: GARB)
The Garb E80/120 With Innovative Knife Adjusting Technology and 5 Year Warranty
Oct. 6, 2010 (Marketwire) --
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 10/06/10 -- Garb Oil & Power Corporation (OTCBB: GARB) (OTCQB: GARB) www.garbop.com announces the introduction of its heavy duty, high throughput Secondary Shredders and Granulators, using knife adjusting technology.
Garb John Rossi President states, "We have provided all of our Secondary Shredders -- Granulators with semiautomatic, or as an option fully automatic, knife adjustment system. This means the knife can be adjusted during operation without stopping the machine. This procedure leads to a re-sharpening of the knives." John Rossi further states, "E-Waste is one of the waste industry's most important and strategically essential waste stream. The United States will see a growth in E-Waste, from the current 3,000,000 tons per year to over 10,000,000 tons per year by 2017. Making E-Waste the fastest growth waste stream in the industry. Our Pre-Shredders and our Secondary Shredders provide one of the required technologies to properly manage E-Waste. Over the next few weeks Garb will be introducing our low cost E-Waste plants."
Garb CTO Igor Plahuta states, "To make this happen, we have implemented this knife adjustment system in our secondary shredders in order to ensure a more or less equal rotor knife position in relation to the stator knives. This is very important for wear intensive production such as tire and E-Scrap (E-Waste) shredding, where the knives need to be adjusted 4 times a day which normally creates a downtime of 3-4 hours each day. By this adjustment system we have created a machine with an availability of 95%. In less wear intensive applications like waste shredding, the availability of the machine is more important. Large volume plants rely on the capacity and workability of such machines to sustain throughput and maximize production."

Rodinia Lithium Inc. Reports Additional High-Grade Lithium-Potash Brines at Salar De Diablillos
- EXPLORATION PROGRAM ENCOUNTERS AVERAGE 607 mg/L LITHIUM, 6,877 mg/L POTASSIUM, AND 794 mg/L BORON TO A DEPTH OF 150 METRES
- SECOND REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILL HOLE CONFIRMS HIGH-GRADE LITHIUM OVER 1 KM WEST OF FIRST HOLE
- DRILLING CONTINUES TO INTERSE
Oct. 5, 2010 (Marketwire) --
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/05/10 -- Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: RM)(OTCQX: RDNAF), is pleased to report that it has encountered additional high-grade lithium and potash in its second reverse circulation drill hole of its first exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The Company continues to be encouraged by the results of the exploration program and believes, based on the results of the first two drill holes and the gravity survey data, that they may be indicative of a sizeable, continuous aquifer capable of becoming a producer.
William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "It is encouraging that this second drill hole has intersected similarly high-grades of lithium, potassium and boron as our first drill hole, only now to depths of 150 metres and nearer the Salar margin. The results of two drill holes over 1 kilometre apart, and the geophysical data available, provides further encouragement for the potential to delineate a large scale resource. Rodinia continues to execute on the first ever drill campaign for new lithium and potash on Diablillos and is working to define a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource estimate on the Salar by year's end."
Results from drill hole D-RC-02, the second drill hole completed on the project, intersected lithium ("Li") values of up to 690 milligrams per litre ("mg/L") and returned averages of 607 mg/L Li, 6,877 mg/L potassium ("K"), and 794 mg/L boron ("B") over the 150 metre drill hole depth. The hole, located towards the Salar margin, intersected lithologies primarily composed of sand and gravel, with coarser material encountered down hole. The zone continues to be open at depth and in all directions.
The lithium concentrations measured in the drill hole range from 410 to 690 mg/L, demonstrating a remarkably even grade distribution over the aquifer, and indicating the potential of the entire stratigraphic column as a possible producer. Samples were taken every six metres to ensure different characteristics of the brine column were captured, with the intention of identifying the horizons with the most potential for production. The geochemistry of the brine samples remained comparable to those encountered during auger drilling (see previous press release dated May 26, 2010) and during the drilling of hole D-RC-01 (see previous press release dated September 17, 2010), with average magnesium-to-lithium ratio of 4.37 and a sulphate-to-lithium ratio of 17.5.

A sampling procedure was enforced by management to ensure sample integrity during the drill program. Where possible, brine and sediments samples were air lifted, and water restricted to the upper part of the hole before the water table was intercepted. Once brine bearing horizons were intercepted, drilling was halted and the drilling pipe lifted 2 feet or more to allow the total flushing of the internal pipe by means of air pressure for approximately ten minutes or until the brine appeared reasonably clean of sediment. After sufficient air lifting of the brine, a sample was collected in 500 ml sample bottles that had been washed three times with the brine. Liquid was also collected in five gallon buckets and the time of filling of the bucket recorded, in order to aid in quantifying the formational flow.
Rodinia has completed 9 drill holes on the newly discovered Salar de Diablillos basin. Generally, the holes intersected unconsolidated sand and gravel saturated with high salinity brines. Flow rates in the sand and gravels have been highly variable ranging from 40 litres per minute to 1,080 litres per minute, including artesian conditions in some drill holes. The Company intends to provide updated information on the remaining drill holes upon receipt of assay results from the laboratory.
The Project is supervised by William Randall, MSc (Geology), the President and CEO of Rodinia, and by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's Manager of Exploration. Both Messrs. Randall and Spanjers are considered qualified persons, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and both have reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release. According to the Company's sampling protocol, sample size is to exceed 300 millilitres and be stored in clean, secure containers for transportation. The prepared samples are then forwarded to the ALS Laboratory Group, Environmental Division, in Fort Collins, Co (USA) for analysis. A rigorous QA/QC program is implemented consisting of regular insertion of standards and blanks to ensure laboratory integrity.

American Community Development Group to Acquire 11 Properties
Oct. 5, 2010 (GlobeNewswire) --
TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 5, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Community Development Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ACYD) today has announced that it has signed agreements to acquire 11 separate properties in St. Petersburg, Florida. The closing of these contracts is expected to be concluded during this month and will continue the Company expansion in the greater Tampa Bay market.
According to John Folger, the President and CEO of ACYD, "These acquisitions offer the size and scale to our business plan and will benefit our shareholders as well as the people we intend to serve. The Company has committed over $500,000.00 for the purchase, renovation and operation of the properties, which are expected to house up to 30 individuals from our existing waiting list of tenants."
The Company believes that these properties, which are being acquired from another housing agency, are perfectly suited for the existing drug and alcohol tenants that desperately need program support and housing in order to become tax paying members of society.
American Community Development Group, "The Company," was founded to offer financial support and management guidance to the nonprofit community; including organizations struggling to provide support to economically distressed citizens. "We are excited to work with other groups in expanding our resources to benefit the lower-income and rehabilitated population of the United States," stated John Folger, President of American Community Development Group. "We are currently acquiring interests in multi-family homes, affordable housing, and other high occupancy commercial real estate properties, all while helping members of our community," he continued. "This approach sits well with both the community and our shareholders."
The second focus of The Company is to create jobs suitable to these same disadvantaged citizens, further supporting social wellbeing and entrepreneurship. "With the economy's continued downward trend, American Community Development will continue to fill the need to help the increasing impoverished population," Mr. Folger added. "We are very active within the philanthropic community and plan to use our resources to assist the underprivileged population."

Starfield Resources Initiates Review Of Montana Chrome Properties
Oct. 5, 2010 (Canada NewsWire Group) --
/NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE U.S./
TORONTO, Oct. 5, 2010 /CNW/ - Starfield Resources Inc. (TSX: SRU) ("Starfield", "the Company") today announced that, due to the recent increase in both the demand and price for chrome and chrome products, it has engaged Scott Wilson RPA ("RPA") to review and update an October 1988 feasibility study on its Montana chrome properties.
The Montana chrome properties contain the formerly operating Benbow and Mountain View Mines, which are the only chrome mines to ever produce in North America, and were last operated during the Korean War. A non NI 43-101 compliant feasibility study was completed by James Askew Associates Inc.(Askew) for Chrome Corporation of America in 1988. After an internal review of this study, Starfield believes that its chrome properties in Montana have become economic again. Consequently, Starfield is contracting a third party review in order to verify the Company's view.
Chromite ("FeCr(2)O4") is sold to the steel industry in many forms. It is sold as concentrated ore for smelter feed; as an upgraded concentrate for furnace feed; or further refined as a ferrochrome product. Chrome is an important hardener and anti-corrosive when combined with iron, and a very strategic building material.
The proposal would be to market a 44% concentrate for smelter feed from the Montana mines, which currently sells for approximately Cdn $350 per ton. The Montana chrome properties, now held by Starfield Resources, are reported to contain 50 million tons, grading approximately 22% chromite per ton. Utilizing simple and environmentally friendly gravity separation, past test work has shown that run-of-mine ore can be upgraded to a concentrate containing 44-45% chromite, with a recovery of approximately 78% of the contained chromite.
The previous feasibility study indicated that, based on a mine production rate of approximately 350,000 tons of ore per year (1000 tpd), the concentrator would have an output of approximately 135,000 tons of concentrate for sale per year, grading approximately 44% chromite.
"Starfield is actively pursuing an off-take agreement (a contract for the purchase of product) and/or joint venture agreement in an effort to move this project forward," said Andre Douchane, President and CEO. "We believe that with a positive update of the Askew feasibility study, the Benbow and Mountain View Mines could be reopened and producing within two years. Results of the updated feasibility study are expected by year-end."
About Starfield
Starfield Resources Inc. is an advanced exploration and development stage company. The Company's primary asset is its Ferguson Lake nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum-palladium property in Nunavut, Canada. Additional assets include a nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE-chrome project in the Stillwater district of Montana with historic copper, nickel, chromite resources (non 43-101 and not to be relied on); the Moonlight copper project in California with significant NI 43-101 copper resources; and two gold properties currently leased/joint ventured in Nevada.
Starfield has also funded the development of a novel, environmentally friendly and energy efficient hydrometallurgical flow sheet to recover metals from massive sulphides.
