Not much here. I'm going back to bed for a nap before market opens... lol :p
Oops - forgot to put that one in! -e-
{edit}Some survey stats, FWIW:
Just for s"p"its and giggles I looked at a "snapshot" of 100 responses to #21. "What problems have you experienced with Gameznflix?" and this is what I tallied:
25 website problems
21 shipping problems
15 selection complaints
12 broken or damaged
11 wait time
9 "other"
7 customer service
6 said "no problems"
"Other" was oddball stuff, Example: one said they spent $12.99 a month and only got 6 videos/games a month so it wasn't a good deal (sounds like they would complain about anything).
My point is..... 25% were complaints about the website. We will soon have that one taken care of.
21% said shipping time. That should be taken care of with new USPS program.
15% selection and 11% for wait time in queue complaints... with new acquisitions/inventory I would think those would pretty well be taken care of.
That wipes out over 70% of the complaints!! It sounds like our "problems" should be soon drastically diminished.
Yolo: I saved the link and all I have to do is refresh to get the updated results.

Daddy....
We're on the same page. From one of my posts a few days ago...
"CC and Gnf are NOT going to continue in a relationship without a CONTRACT after the 15th and any contract must be filed with the SEC within 4 (business) days of the signing. If a new contract was signed at 11:59 p.m. on the 15th we will know by the 22nd by checking SEC filings. Those filings are public record. No PR does not mean no contract."
OT: I would pay off a couple of my rental properties and make a few improvements on some others...
I'm working on it Oli -e-
Exactly... GnF was physically added to more CC stores in the past week but..... OMG! the ad for the ONLINE sign-up wasn't in the circular - time to panic!!!
(time for a drink.... it's got to be after 5 SOMEWHERE! lol)
I'm beginning to feel like the guy at the computer in Relentless Despot's sig! Only beating my blonde head against a brick wall!! Advertising about an online affiliation does NOT = national in-store roll out.
The only things I see significant at the moment are March 15th - but it may be a while before "we" know that outcome.. "No PR does not = no contract" - that's where checking new SEC filings comes into play.
And.... the addition of Gnf product in the new Florida stores is very significant, IMO.
{edit} Thank you, Sent! This is just what I've been trying to say about the website and circulars, also.... Why do people think the presence of GnF on the website or in the circulars has anything to do with a national roll-out? As far as I can tell it just shows an affiliation of the two. IMO, CC could put GnF on their website and in their circulars until the end of time and that would not necessarily mean there is (or isn't) a national "in store" roll-out.
Other thoughts from my previous posts this weekend:
"BUT.... What about the verified NEW stores in Florida that received GnF product this Friday. Do people really think that CC would go through the costs associated with placement/training in new stores for just a few days? I could be wrong, but placement in the new stores tells more of the story than anything else...."
Seabiscuit: Thank you. I tried!
Thank you Jo!
DTG: I'm learning right along w/you. I used to dt a lot in the late 90's/2000 but when things fizzled I concentrated on other things. I started back into the market over a year ago and the regulations have changed so much that I am still learning.
I don't know, but am guessing that when you flipped it put some funds into your account to cover that call until your next dt.... I would be very careful and keep track so that your flips don't exceed the 3 per 5 day rule. In the "old days" if I missed a margin call (MyTrack/WebStreet) at the time would restrict my margin and lock me into a cash only basis until I took care of the call. Many times that was taken care of by me simply selling some stock in order to put cash back into my account.
Please read this repost... Too many are basing everything on the "15th" and/or the CC circular....

Some here are saying that it doesn't take weeks to design/print a circular. With today's technology this is true.... but, it does take weeks to PLAN the circular. It also takes time to SHIP the circulars to the respective newspapers. There HAS to be deadlines for each of the vendors to approve the ads. Even if a "definitive agreement" was signed over a week ago there would not be time to include GnF in the ad.
Others are saying there may be no reason to issue a PR since CC is basically an affiliate. This may also be true but they also need to remember this is BUSINESS... CC and Gnf are NOT going to continue in a relationship without a CONTRACT after the 15th and any contract must be filed with the SEC within 4 (business) days of the signing. If a new contract was signed at 11:59 p.m. on the 15th we will know by the 22nd by checking SEC filings. Those filings are public record. No PR does not mean no contract.
The CC website... I tend to agree with Sirius, CC updates their website once a week and GnF is still there. I can't imagine CC making major changes to their site on a daily basis to accommodate each and every one of their vendors/partners. But, (please don't shoot me, just playing devil's advocate), placement of an ad in the circular or even on the CC website does NOT indicate one way or another a national roll-out. IMO, an ad, be it on the website or in the circular, is just indicative of an affiliation. GnF can still be on the site/in the circular with NO in-store promotion.
IMO, THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART.... What about the verified NEW stores in Florida that received GnF product this Friday. Do people really think that CC would go through the costs associated with placement/training in new stores for just a few days? I could be wrong, but placement in the new stores tells more of the story than anything else....
This is just all IMO, of course.
The way I see it for your margin call, there are several things to "worry" about.... and you should read the fine print with your broker.
As per eTrade: If you execute a day trade (buy and sell the same stock or option on the same trading day) before a day trading minimum equity call is met, your account will be immediately restricted to cash-only transactions for a period of 90 days or until the call is met in accordance with NYSE Rule 431.
I understand that to mean the 3 day settlement rule kicks in.
Also: I agree to maintain in all Margin Accounts with E*TRADE Securities, such positions and margin as required by all applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures and customs or as E*TRADE Securities deems necessary and advisable. I agree to immediately satisfy all margin and maintenance calls. E*TRADE Securities may require me to provide additional collateral and/or may liquidate positions in my Account for any of the following reasons:
1. if the value of my account equity falls or if the initial equity requirement is raised; 2. if I fail to promptly meet any call for additional collateral...
I would be worried about them liquidating my positions to meet a margin call that was ignored. But, it would appear to me that you could meet a margin call by selling enough yourself to cover the call by the settlement date, then resume trading...
Good Morning Tina.... Gnf not there, you can see the circular online at CC website anytime after midnight every Sat. night. Just click on the link on the top near the right that says "weekly ad".... :)
Lust? lol....
those comments are just "tongue-in-cheek".
Have you opened a new browser window? Cleaned your cache/cookies? I clicked on the link that you provided and the page opened up with no problem for me.
Works for me.... have you cleaned your cache? GnF still there and I clicked on your link. :)

Oops, sorry, just saw that I was asking something that had already been discussed! Thanks to everyone!
Thank you, I was afraid that was "splitting hairs" over the fact that it would be "selling and buying" the same day as opposed to "buying and selling" the same day. I guess the loophole is in the fact that each different batch of the same stock is held overnight....
So, if you have a margin account, you can "sell and buy" the same day as many days as you want and not be considered a "pattern daytrader"? Or, is it limited to less than 4 in any rolling 5 day period?
Day trade question: If you buy a stock Mon., sell it Tue. morning, buy it back Tue. afternoon, sell it Wed. morning then buy it back Wed. afternoon.... is that considered daytrading since technically you're holding it overnight? I know you're required to have a margin account to avoid the "free ride" problem.

Xan, I agree. The ads are printed weeks ahead of time and since terms were obviously still under negotiation at that time it would be prudent NOT to schedule an ad until the ink was dry.
IMO not having a spot in the CC circular is no indication of the state of the partnership. Remember, GnF is still found on CC website.
That flyer was for 3/5. Prices in CC flyers are good for 7 days from the date of the flyer. SOP.
OT: Good Morning, coffee brewing....
I like the fact that you were given a description of GnF business in that email. I don't believe I've seen that done before.
GameZnFlix is a membership service which provides movies and games for rent via the mail. There are no late fees, no shipping fees, and no contracts. Once a customer returns one of his movies/games, the next selection on his list is sent to him.
Too early. Haven't had my coffee yet. Just got here.
The worst part is the DT's from GnF on the weekends!! LOL.
OT: "Moenuddin"????? HAHAHAHA -e-
(Sorry, fell on the floor and just couldn't help myself on that name)
OT: RAM....
If your RAM is bogged down it has to "time share" and slows your system. Closing any unused open applications can help.
If you have available slots you can purchase more RAM, at your local CC :), to easily install and increase the performance.
