I read that to. That's sick. If they had lifted the ban, you'd see oil prices drop significantly on Monday's trading. I doubt it has much impact on a rise though since the prices are already high and current resources are baked in. IMO, oil prices will continue to drop with spikes here and there. But the ole' USO fund would have tanked significantly if speculators had to to take additional exploration and pumping into consideration. Even if 2 - 5 years out. Most of America isn't smart enough to know how and who prices oil, unfortunately.
Nancy Pelosi really thinks she's in tune with the mainstream.
Here's a couple:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/09/27/iraq.qaeda/index.html
Abu Azzam, a "significant" figure in the al Qaeda network in Iraq, was slain early Sunday in Baghdad during a joint operation, a military official spokesman in Iraq said.
Azzam had a personal relationship with terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and held senior positions in the al Qaeda in Iraq network in Baghdad and Falluja, he said.
"This creates a void for al Qaeda in Iraq, in their leadership, for a while," the spokesman said.
Four more Al Qaeda leaders killed:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080803/ap_on_re_mi_ea/al_qaida_commanders_killed
Al-Qaida says 4 leaders killed in Afghanistan
(though, this one is unclear because the article mentions air strikes in Pakistan)
News Flash - Al Qaeda is, and has been, everywhere. Even in those countries considered enemies like Iraq.

That makes no sense. If there is unemployment greater than zero and skills are still being imported, how can you suggest that the supply of skilled workers is too low? And then suggest it has something to do with people unable to go to college?
Our Health Care System is the best in the world for timely treatments, advances, etc. On top of that, there isn't a single person being turned away from at least the emergency care. The low incomers get it free today anyway. That's what is bankrupting our system. Because we are too scared to name the problem (one of the biggest, anyway) which is illegals getting free medical on the tax payer dime. Of course that won't work indefinitely.
Socialism is the problem in the U.S. because our political correctness won't let us identify problems that would prevent it from working here. Such as, our lawmakers (majority) won't publicly say it's the illegal immigrants hurting the system due to not paying taxes else they lose the Mexican vote. Won't say we need to deport illegals and block the border (cheaper than paying for their medical) else they lose the Mexican vote. Won't identify low achievers able to work but won't whilst getting welfare because the numbers are disproportionately black else they lose the black vote.
Socialism works in homogenous cultures/countries. Though, even in the best circumstances, you wait a long time for care and good luck getting a heart transplant. Being a melting pot of cultures in the U.S., you would never have lawmakers agree on a common requirement for social services as you'd have to make concessions for one group or another. That also means you'd never find a way to pay for it.

Interesting. Another option is to remove the whold "Party" label from all candidates. Keep the endorsements from individual rep's of course. But remove the labels and "party" memberships. That might help but it would take several cycles before removing party labels would have any affects as the incumbents leave office.
I know you're not but figured I'd throw it out there... You aren't holding your breath, eh? LOL!
Gawd. The heat and humidity in Atlanta is ridiculous. I need to move out west.
There's a paradox going on with Rufus and his followers. What this:
CSHD has bonds/cash/connections as far as the eye can see via PR's and filings.
Rufus still claims these but also states that he set a trap for the NSS.
No verifications of anything during the entire episode. Even Rufus stated at least the Humanitarian bond was a fraud.
Rufus now says, again actually, that he's coming after the bashers and forums.
If folks can't see the holes in this plan of action, said folks are in serious trouble of being stupid. And I mean a true inability to learn.
Here's Rufus trying to sue a basher in court:
Rufus - You see Judge, Hunter posted that I was an idiot and that I don't have assets. He said I was a scammer.
Judge - Did you get an attorney for the SEC investigation as required by law for the company?
Rufus - No.
Judge - Have you provided evidence to date of owning any assets you've claimed to own?
Rufus - No. I can't. It's still a secret.
Judge - Have you exercised your right to do business while the investigation was on going?
Rufus - You wouldn't believe what I've had going on behind the scenes. I can't disclose the specifics yet.
Judge - You do realize the year is 2020 and what you're suing Hunter over happened over 13 years ago, right?
Rufus - Yes, your honor. All part of the plan. Hehehe
Judge - Rufus, you are an idiot. You are a liar. You are a scammer. And the proceeds you live off today can't help you sleep well at night.
Hunter cleared of all charges while the court laughs and H20md goes into another selfrighteous diatribe about how he's still certain that Rufus is honest and the SEC still has some evidence to look at in a separate case Rufus will never instigate. LOL!
What's the definition of Universal Healthcare? Government funded free colledge? Wealth redistribution?
socialism (ssh-lzm) KEY
NOUN:
Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
Maybe you simply don't like what Obama stands for? Or you are for a more socialistic government? Why would you worry about right wingers calling Obama's vision exactly what it is? LOL!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080802/ap_on_el_pr/obama_slavery_reparations
Obama is correct on saying NO to reparations. Obama is wrong in promoting socialism as the answer.
"If we have a program, for example, of universal health care, that will disproportionately affect people of color, because they're disproportionately uninsured," Obama said. "If we've got an agenda that says every child in America should get — should be able to go to college, regardless of income, that will disproportionately affect people of color, because it's oftentimes our children who can't afford to go to college."
This country of political correctness couldn't agree on the requirements for free college. We all know how test scores would be interpreted depending on the race of the test taker. This being said, free college would pick up kids who really don't like school nor want to be there. How bout that environment for higher learning? LOL!
And apparently, a Cannibal:

Oh my! I'm sure McCain is upset he's losing those votes. LOL! That's like the media being stoked that Obama will win the black vote. Duhhhhh!
However, I disagree with the ad myself. It stated that Britney had no accomplishments. Apparently, millions of teenagers (and old men) thought she accomplished a lot at least a few years ago.
Edit - What votes does Obama think he's going to win outside of those that ALWAYS go Democratic anyway?

I have a pretty intelligent 14 year old. We just paid 15 bucks to fill up a 4 gallon gas container for the law mower. He said the media is stupid for predicting gas prices would reach 7 bucks by July 4th. He followed up by asking, "where's the news media to report gas prices will be zero by September since the prices are dropping?" His favorite network is comedy central and I'm a bad parent for allowing that. Hehehe
LOL! I don't know where those reports are.
Yes. Thanks. What the hell, I'll expand while correcting.
Screw Islam and screw Allah. The U.S. and Federal law should NOT be supporting or endorsing any religions in public nor be involved with private businesses. Especially one as violent in nature as Islam. No one should be required to add any element, whatever it may be, said private owner deems will not work with their business. For example, the owner of a christian book store should not be compelled legally to hire someone who believes satan dictates they must where a pentagram around their neck at all times in plain view.
Interesting. Another option is to remove the whold "Party" label from all candidates. Keep the endorsements from individual rep's of course. But remove the labels and "party" memberships. That might help but it would take several cycles before removing party labels would have any affects as the incumbents leave office.
Yes sir! And I agree. That writing was on the wall for a long time. In fact, I think GM was focusing on trucks/SUV's for a long time. That being said, I guess we could have predicted this from years ago, even when gas was cheap!
Sorry OM - The lack of a comma messed me up on that sentence for me in that post and by no means do I suggest I'm the grammar police. Just missed it. LOL!
I have no idea what you just posted. LOL!
I read the argument as suggesting he wants the Federal government to make the decision rather than him personally.
I correctly pointed out he does NOT want the Federal governement to decide/deny/allow abortions. He want's States to make the decision based on individual State views.
Yes, I would agree that Ron Paul personally would deny an abortion. He would NOT deny the practice of abortion if a State allowed it. I'm sure any number of our elected officials personally disagree with some laws, yet support said laws based on the constitution.
I hope that clears up your deliberate missing of the point. LOL!

.GMTR GM AUG 7.5 Puts
GM's in BIG trouble, IMO.
Who supports this crap besides Muslim activists?
http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/cair-oklahoma-muslim-denied-job/story.aspx?guid=%7B2872B64E-81F1-4019-B9BD-4E055EBF057C%7D&dist=hppr
"The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) announced today that it has filed an EEOC complaint on behalf of a Muslim woman who was allegedly denied employment at an Abercrombie Kids store in that state because of the applicant's religiously-mandated headscarf, or hijab.
The woman told CAIR-OK that a district manager claimed he could not hire her because her Islamic headscarf "does not fit the Abercrombie image."
Question, since the lack of said scarf on a woman offends some Muslim men whom own stores in the U.S., would CAIR work on her behalf if she were denied employment because she doesn't want to wear the scarf working for a Muslim?
Hypocrites. Denmark has the right idea:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy
In the U.S., we have the balls to fight against all religions in court when pushed into public or even private places. All except for Islam. Why?
Screw Islam and screw Allah. The U.S. should be supporting any religions. Especially one as violent in nature as Islam.
People, like yourself, whom subscribe to the two party system by identifying only the larger of two evils (that evil depending on the mislead author's bias) as being the sole problem with this country keeps the country in it's current state of affairs. I see the Democrats as the larger of two evils but can agree that Republicans have at least some of the same problems. Those roots, IMO, come from Lobbyists and special interest groups.
So keep whining about "Republicans" and ignore the faults of Democrats. Let us know when you're ready to fix your flawed logic in arguing politics and then we can start posting about solutions.
My solution is this to get rid of the 2 party system. Voting should be weighted. For example, you have two independents, a Republican, and a Democrat. Today, RNCers don't want to waste their vote by voting for an independent they like better because they know they won't win. A wasted vote. But, what if you could vote for your first choice and know that your 2nd or even 3rd choices would be counted as well? Then, folks in a red state would know that if their first choice, being an independent, didn't get enough votes, the 2nd choice (being a Republican in this example) would still win over the Democrat.
Then why would he refuse a woman an abortion?
That's not the case. He is pro-life but he's also against having the abortion issue being a Federal issue and wants the issue settled by individual states based on said states citizenship's views.
Man, I wonder if I should have held my GM puts a bit longer. Though, they would have dropped to 0 for about a week after the financing PR before going positive again. Crazy.
IMO, GM may go bankrupt, IMO. They are/were WAY too heavy in the SUV market.
OMG! Looks like he found a template and added in a rant from his board. LOLOLOLOL!
Dear Lord, may they feel the complete and utter power of your raft.
LOL! I'd just like to offer my prayer here if you guys don't mind.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for providing an absolute baffoon for our entertainment. Also, thank you for offering said baffoon in the public eye to deter these type of scams in the future. Lastly, please give me the faith back, to which I hath lost, that the last few believers are capable of learning and will turn away from the baffon that some believe is doing your work.
P.S. Please help IBM stock to go up $2.00 today so I can close that position out and pay for this weekend's antics, allow CROX to correct itself just over $5.00 for just 10 minutes, and kill the DOW 1 hour before market close.
Amen.

Say what you want. I was arguing politics on the yahoo boards back then. It was said several times by those proclaiming to be Democrats that John McCain would have been the better choice. I believe the media made references to McCain's politics as being closer to the center, specifically on abortion.
If John McCain would have won the primary in 2000, Gore never would have won the popular vote. PERIOD.
Liberals (far left) believe the war in Iraq is bad. Many conservatives do as well. BUT regardless of what the far left believe of the U.S. populace, it is a common theme amongst U.S. citizens that our enemy can be named and that enemy is Islam. Obama doesn't have a chance.
LOL! You just named the reasons why John McCain didn't beat Bush 8 years ago and why he's going to beat Obama this year. McCain is just as moderate today as he was back when Democrats were laughing about the RNC choosing GW over him. Nice!
_____________________________________________________
As long as we read only that with which we agree, we learn nothing. - Chester Dolan
It didn't. It almost worked. We had half the equation completed in the form of lowered taxes generating more jobs thus stronger economy thus more tax revenue.
But, spending remained out of control. Add increasing illegal immigration. Add the Iraq war. And voila! A huge deficit with a weakening dollar, and lost confidence in the market.
Now, over the next few years as we pull out of Iraq, you'll see the deficit decrease. Whoever wins in November (John McCain) will claim the credit. Then we need to focus on eliminating the costs attributed to illegals and send them back. Voila! You have a surplus.
Why? Democrats (liberals especially) tend to have a bias in favor of Muslims over Christians and Jews. The Nancy Pelosi's don't really care. I don't like organized religion myself. In fact, I hate it. The far left doesn't either, but it's easy to tell for whom they have more allegience. For example:
Killing and war is bad only if done by GW.
Killing and war is OK if Muslims are the aggressors.
Oh, the liberal mind. LOL!
Not that it's a big deal but Odinga was only one side of the political corruption. The other side tried to fix the latest election as well.
But, you are right. Odinga literally slaughtered supporters of the sitting president by use of rape and burnings. The machette is used against people fleeing burning, Christian churches.
Another item of note. Kenyans (I can only speak for Nandi Hills) sleep OUTSIDE of their huts for fear of being burned alive. They sleep in tea plantation fields.
Right around where my mother lived, I think she said 26 Christian churches were burned to the ground. She was not aware of any Mosques being destroyed.
Obama's ties are scary. But the fact that he wants to raise taxes on "the rich", lower some taxes for Seniors, AND increase spending for public health care and education will hurt the U.S. economy like no other, IMO.
Edit - Forgot to add. Don't get caught on a bus in Kenya by Odinga's goons being a Kikuyu. You will be removed from the bus and hacked to death by machette. Unless you're a woman in which you'll be raped. Some blacks think oppression is bad in the U.S. LOL! Check out the racial hatred from the homeland most have never visited. Hehehe

You must have loaded up on some DIA puts, eh? LOL!
LOL! You have to check this out:
http://boortz.com/more/video/ludacris_politics.html
Don't you hate it when your friends embarass you publicly? Hehehe
Absolutely there were. In fact, a friend of mine's family who's black, are from California. Slavery or civil rights stuff never affected them from way back. She advised that there were towns named after black men in the west from before any Civil Rights movements. I agree 100% with Civil Rights and that they came late. I disagree 100% that slavery is the root of all the problems blacks face today.
How is it that some blacks on the West Coast still suffer today and blame slavery, yet, that part of the continent never saw slavery?
Here's a question. Why is it that when a white person goes to Kenya, they are singled out but favored by blacks? Here's the difference:
A white person going to Kenya usually has more money than any locals. White people in Kenya are not known to rob, rape or kill locals (the opposing tribes do enough of that). So, those same white people are singled out as people the locals want to work for.
It's a perception/stereotypical thing. Not a slavery thing.
I did read it. It was even more off the mark:
The problem between black and white America started with the slave trade. To this day it is the root cause to all the problems blacks have in America.
BALONEY! Why doesn't other countries like Brazil have these problems? Brazil certainly isn't entertaining race warlords the way we do here. Slavery is the "root" cause to "all" problems blacks have in America? What rational human being could/would agree with that?
Slavery caused drugs, fatherless children, crime, a disdain for education (many people/races have the same issues but for this post, I'm focusing on Soul Washer's belief that it only affects blacks due to slavery)?
That's a load of crap. At least servitude still exists in Kenya. And children STILL want to go to school. Imagine that. If someone's whining about not having the right to an education in the past, I FULLY expect that same person address that with the culture of dropping out of schools in the low income areas. To whine and not take action within one's own race where there's a problem is cowardly.
There was another one last night where the lady was driving the SUV and tried to take off with the officer still hung up? He had his gun to her head and was seconds away from killing her if she didn't stop. She tried to side swipe another car to make him fall off.
On the other hand, the gov that sanctioned slavery, should apologize to not only African Americans, but also Native Americans, who are still being treated worse than cattle in some cases.
That's fair. However, it's difficult to compare Native Americans and African Americans. One group seems to have accepted reparations. The other wouldn't risk advising when reparations are finished/satisfied.
For example. Look at Soul Washer. He still thinks that whites owe blacks an apology. That's pretty racist if you ask a lot of people. Do African Americans really think that they are incapable of transcending a wrong that was over 100 years ago (the racist aspect)? Native Americans could. The Jews could. Anyone ever hear of the slaughtering Japanese generals did to the Chinese only less than 60 years ago?
People like Soul Washer believe slavery was only performed by white people. He'll ignore the fact that Native Americans had slaves (not many, mind you) and Blacks had slaves as well. People like Soul Washer will demand an apology from whites because it's easy to identify a white person as an ex-euro slave owner. It becomes inconvenient when you actually understand who owned slaves as it applies to one who's demanding an apology. Not to mention, I'll wager most people still unable to let it go couldn't name a single African tribe that made it their business to sell slaves to the evil Europeans.
Out of 12 million Africans brought to the Americas, only 4 million were used in the U.S. (about half the number of Jews slaughtered by the Nazi's less than 70 years ago). Most were taken to Brazil. Would Jesse Jackson like to tangle with the Portugese about the injustices of slavery? Nope. That costs money. Where's the outrage in Brazil over slavery past? Has Al Sharpton put a foot print in Brazil to complain to that government over slavery reparations? Nope. Won't get paid.
Sorry for the rant. People who are still whining about an apology that no one living today had anything to do with are a complete waste of fresh air. Even more sickening are the few left running around making a living by inciting anger and outrage over slavery whilst leaving out the facts of who owned and who sold slaves. How does Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton get their money? By inciting hate.
LOL! I watched that episode last night as well. I thought the officer was in the wrong for firing more than one shot. The rest was excessive. LOL! I'm kidding of course.
Stop what? LOL! I'm not using anything as a crutch and claiming obstacles of what a group of people could or could not do. Nor will I presume to know what "heritage" you're speaking of. I doubt most blacks claiming to want an African experience know what they really want. In the end, the "heritage" created by many that need the crutch of slavery surround nothing that would contribute to a positive life in the U.S. Thankfully, the achievers are transcending that nonesense. Fact is, living in the U.S. is great for all walks of life.
So don't bring up losing a heritage if you can't explain what it is you think you're missing.
So, is this you? http://www.museum.upenn.edu/new/Zine/6.2.shtml
Last freebie post of the day.
Are you sure your not describing the Western World?...rotf
Like I said. You'd have to actually visit Africa to understand what heritage it is you think you are missing due to slavery.
So you own a multi million dollar business. That's awesome!
Have you used a measly $3000 to visit any African nations with your wealth? That's not meant to be a bash except for the fact that you're whining about a heritage that I don't believe you have a clue about nor bothered to experience.
Oppressed until 1990's? - Subjective. Depends on perspective. It wouldn't be profitable for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to set a hard stop when oppression ended, eh? LOL!
Couldn't own land, read, or write until the 1900's? - Wrong. Not saying it was easy by any means. But wrong just the same.
The heritage I speak of is African, The one that was not passed on from generation to generation because of slavery. - Heritage from what African nation? Be specific. The Masi tribe? Zulu? Kikuyu? Ibos? The Bushmen? Arabs? Egyptians? Morocco?
I'd rather be a slave traded to the U.S. than a Jew put into a concentration camp. Or an Indian forced to walk the Trail of Tears to a reservation miles from where I had grown up. Talk about losing your heritage.
Please advise what definition you are using for "Heritage" as in the context of being lost, in your opinion.

Sensitive folks should not look at this:

In a nutshell, an illegal immigrant whom was charged with murder said (through his interpreter) that his constitutional rights were violated. He was whining because his state appointed lawyer couldn't speak Spanish. I wonder how an American in Mexico would be treated for murder? Any caucasions added to that jury? LOL! What a bunch of hypocrites.
