People, like yourself, whom subscribe to the two party system by identifying only the larger of two evils (that evil depending on the mislead author's bias) as being the sole problem with this country keeps the country in it's current state of affairs. I see the Democrats as the larger of two evils but can agree that Republicans have at least some of the same problems. Those roots, IMO, come from Lobbyists and special interest groups.

So keep whining about "Republicans" and ignore the faults of Democrats. Let us know when you're ready to fix your flawed logic in arguing politics and then we can start posting about solutions.

My solution is this to get rid of the 2 party system. Voting should be weighted. For example, you have two independents, a Republican, and a Democrat. Today, RNCers don't want to waste their vote by voting for an independent they like better because they know they won't win. A wasted vote. But, what if you could vote for your first choice and know that your 2nd or even 3rd choices would be counted as well? Then, folks in a red state would know that if their first choice, being an independent, didn't get enough votes, the 2nd choice (being a Republican in this example) would still win over the Democrat.
