Shorting is crucial to the markets. Without it, stocks would explode upwards uncontrollably like an oil well without a shut off valve. Obviously, if that happened we would have no markets and no game because we would all be billionaires! That isn't what we resent, what we resent is all the denial, spinning and disguising. Casinos admit the truth about the odds being in their favor, why don't the markets admit the truth about shorting? People still gamble and people will still invest in the markets.
Richard Altomare found big investors and blew the shorters out of the water. The CEO of CBDD is not a low level chump. He is a high level CEO with strong connections in the corporate and investing worlds, and he could easily do the same thing. He has legitimate products with legitimate sales in a growing industry. I would not want to be a shorter on this stock even if I was backed by big money.
