Is their Paraffin removal tech similar to the ultrasonic remediation method mentioned in this following article?
http://www.worldoil.com/November-2009-Wax-prevention-and-remediation-in-subsea-pipelines-and-flowlines.html
That article states that there were no commercial users at that time(2009) of ultrasonic remediation. But the article seemed to indicate that that method was in its infancy as to the reason of not being used.
At the end, did they hint that there might be some advantages to ultrasonic method?
Would appreciate your input, I'll be digging further. Thanks for the reply on earlier question; driving the dig for info!
Is this an good explanation?
www.aiche.org/uploadedFiles/Nano/Publications/090710.pdf
I read an article(towards bottom of doc) that has an explanation of thier paraffin buildup removal idea etc.., does it sound legit or make any sense? Just looking for technical info/understanding of this ultrasonic thing.
If they have something of value in the intellectual property arena it would be nice to know.
"Avalon Oil received notice that the patent application for its paraffin wax mitigation technology, being marketed as Ultrasonic Mitigation Solutions[TM], has been granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Avalon's innovative Ultrasonic Mitigation Solutions[TM] could save the oil and gas industry from losing billions of dollars per year with a cost efficient environmentally friendly method of removing paraffin wax problems in crude oil production.
"The scope of the problem posed by paraffin wax and other heavy organic deposits in crude oil production around the world is massive," commented Kent Rodriguez, President and CEO of Avalon. A report by the Journal of Petroleum Science & Engineering from the University of Illinois estimates the total annual cost of paraffin wax build up in well-bores to be $18 billion. This represents a substantial potential market for enhanced oil recovery from Avalon's recently patented Ultrasonic Mitigation Solutions
This enormously expensive problem is caused when wax compounds precipitate out of the crude oil and cause blockages in well-bores, walls of production tubing and surface flow equipment.. Production tubing is run into the drilled well after the casing is run and cemented in place. The deposits of paraffin lead to a fall in production rates of oil from the affected wells. "The estimated return on investment to producers is tremendous, especially when compared to the workover costs of a problem well, which could exceed $1,000,000 per well," added Rodriguez. Paraffin wax deposits in well-bores have resulted in substantial economic losses to oil producers around the world; including sites in North America.
Currently available solutions to this problem involve applying an array of chemical solvents to attack deposits and prevent build-up Chemical solutions alone can create environmental liabilities and issues with disposal. In contrast, Avalon's Ultrasonic Mitigation Solution utilizes ultrasonic waves to break-up current deposits in the production tubing and prevent future formations of the wax molecules in an environmentally safe process. Moreover, with this process, oil producers are saved the cost and operational impact of repeated mechanical pigging operations and costly workovers.
In July 2006, Avalon acquired the exclusive rights to the paraffin wax mitigation technology originally developed by researchers from the University of Wyoming a noted technical center of expertise for solutions to the paraffin wax build-up. The company recently launched commercialization and partnership programs to support Avalon's Ultrasonic Mitigation Solutions product line.
The energy technologies Avalon has licensed to Oiltek support energy recovery and production enhancements for recovering oil from marginally producing oil wells. Oiltek acquires and develops energy recovery and production enhancing technologies for the oil and gas industry. The energy recovery technologies licensed to Oiltek include: production enhancements for paraffin wax mitigation; intelligent drilling and completion for real-time reservoir monitoring; and leak detection for hazardous gas pipelines.
Wax deposits in production tubing and pumping equipment are expensive problems for producers, causing a significant decrease in oil production rates. Avalon’s patented technology for paraffin wax mitigation uses ultrasonic waves to break down wax deposits and inhibit wax from attaching to pipe walls. The technology is licensed from the University of Wyoming Research Laboratory, a noted center for expertise in paraffin wax issues and petroleum engineering.
Avalon’s intelligent drilling technology for smart oil well borehole casings uses a densely spaced network of casing sensors to monitor critical parameters in a subsurface reservoir. Data fusion technology yields operators real-time knowledge of reservoir operations and processes for primary and secondary recovery. Applications include: mapping and monitoring oil recovery without interfering with normal well operations. This technology was developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
The third technology licensed to Oiltek from Avalon performs hazardous leak detection in gas pipelines. This patented technology provides reliable and continuous monitoring of buried pipelines to detect smaller leaks than possible with currently available methods. The system uses a series of acoustic sensors to monitor gas pipeline emission changes. The technology has been successfully fielded with a large gas company, and was originally developed by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute."
Ultrasonic Cleaning.
Dont suppose anyone here knows if the ultrasonic cleaning mentioned in CEO CC is just an better way/greener way of cleaning or does AOGN have a idea/product patent on that?
Ill look into it also and post if I can find some info.
DD On Jeff etc...
Plan on doing some DD myself. Was just curious if you or someone else here may have heard if he or BirthdaySlam Inc.. might have US or Canadian Patent(s)on BSlam/ideas in general?
If I find something Ill post.
CEO INTERVIEW
Sounds intresting, especially the part about ultrasonic cleaning down the hole vs traditional methoeds if I heard correctly.
Got mine email too from TD, votes in.
Anyone read the new 8K today?
Looks like they'll be concentrating on birthday slam and officially divesting thee ole buisness. Perhaps the new CEO is the guy for that type of buisness!
Getting Chilled, here's one potential reason:
"DTC-chills are often due to the DTCC spotting unregistered shares in the market (aka not properly registered with the SEC via a S-1) so the solution is likely to be to file a S-1, then contact a DTCC participant (usually a clearing firm) to forward a DTC-eligibility request to the DTCC."
Seems there's some other reasons too. Theres a board here at Ihub that has some more info on chilled stocks(and un-chilling).
Were all doomed! :)
It'll move, we'll see who blinks first.
Great long view, I agree
LMAO drivenby!
This is good stuff!
GOHG!
New post in .0001 board about 30 min ago.
Institutional Investors, How long have they had them? Newbie here.
What I find interesting is IHubs quote does not show instutional investors(N/A), but at TDAmeritrade quote shows 1.54% held by institutions. Yea, I can spell.
Your not alone bud!
Forgive my poor spelling please in previous posts.Rakine=Rankine etc...
Not the exact same is my guess, just similar concept or idea. I had put together some "hybrid" heat pipes/thermosyphons for the project and did the evac an initial charging.
There's lots of potential in this field IMO, if you understand what refrigerants will do under certain circumstances for want of better words.
Get away from the mechanical refrigeration cycle thought process and all becomes clear.
Versa Greens tech seems sound, we experimented with ideas processes up here in Alaska at an research center using ORC(Organic Rakine Cycle)and the energy saving can realized as they suggest(Transferring waste heat/cooling); I don't think they are overstating recovery gains.
We up here went as far as transferring outside air temperature in winter to domestic refrigerators in the experiments up here and had interesting results. The intent and end result was the same as VersaGreens ideas but not for money.
IMO, if they can make ROI worth it we have potential here. It would of course cost to install these systems etc...
Td ameritrade kinda not real friendly to pinks in some cases , global holdings no problem
Level II, HDSN
Anyone know who MM HDSN is? I ask becuase I see them in level II at ihub but not on level II at my online trading account.
Go GOHG
Looks like a buying opportunity to me.
I believe your right bub, it may happen today.
