All companies cancel claims...not unusual....they also stake new claims... lol
You can go here and see what has been reverted back to the crown (cancelled). Lots of companies do that. It is normal for explorers.

Yes, they are in the Stead's names...but if you look at history, you will see that Ken claims them in their personal names, then transfers them to KAT. (Saves Money this way)

And many of the current claims that were transferred from KAT Exploration to Kat Gold, were originally in the Stead's names also... Most here know this.
It is all here under Mineral Rights Inquiry Form. Type in Kat Exploration or Kat Gold Holdings. You can see who original holders were on current claims and even on cancelled claims. http://gis.geosurv.gov.nl.ca/

I believe the S-1 will be approved. The SEC recommended Kat Gold change from a distro to a Spin-Off. So they did.
Then Kat Gold ( BVIG ) can start trading when the shares are distributed.
Lots of interest in a stock that barely trades.... Only has 380K float.

BVIG #14 on the Breakout Board!
Lots of interest in our KAT
But then again Kat Gold owns a gold mine and is producing. :o)
Just waiting for some news....about it.
Ekom Eya Project
KAT Gold’s project in Ghana is an existing mining operation located on the Bibiani Gold Belt in Ghana. Based on previous drillings, there is a known minimum resource of 300,000 oz, with intersections between 2m-8m of grades up to 24g/t. There is also a waste dump estimated to contain 30,000t with reported grades up to 9.76g/t (representing a minimum of 4,000 oz) and a 60,000t tailings area with sampling results as high as 21.2g/t.
Artisanal production conducted by locals has been ongoing on a small scale for some time, but with the arrival of our mine manager Thomas Brookes to the Ekom Eya mine site in July, there has been an increase in activity and planning for a greater increase in production through proper mining techniques has begun.
Ekom Eya Mining Operation Project Highlights:
Bibiani Gold Belt
Historical mining on property -1939-1941- 30,000oz extracted from 90,000t ore (10g/t)
Drilling on property including 49g/t over 2m and 19.7g/t over 2.1m
Waste dump estimated to be 30,000t with reported grades up to 9g/t
Tailings estimated 60,000t at up to 21.2g/t in Pamunu river
Inferred resource of 1,380,887 tons @ 6.0g/t (266,380 ozs) (based on 17 hole drill results), with intersections between 2m-8m of grades up to 24g/t,
Opportunity for additional drilling

KAT Gold Holdings Corp.
OTCQB:BVIG
And Emerging Company with a Strong Portfolio of Mineral Exploration and Gold Mining Projects and A Prudent Strategy for Growth in the Economy of Today.
Ekom-Eya Gold Mining Operation
As outlined in the main exploration report, the “tailing’s pile” and “waste-dump” are rich in Gold content, with 15 local employees presently working at extracting the Gold from these resources.
The main shaft is in extremely good condition with a concrete lining the full length. The open pit areas are very rich in gold at a low production cost. The high voltage lines have been brought in from the main grid to the mine site which allows us to drastically reduce our dependence on Diesel fuel.
All of the necessary equipment to enable significant Gold production have been located, and can be quickly mobilized with some already on site.

Noble hires new CFO
Updated | Start-up gold miner Noble Mineral Resources appointed Erik Palmbachs as its first finance chief on Thursday.
The Perth-based company poured its first gold ingots in March and shipped the first bullion from its Bibiani mine in Ghana in May.
Palmbachs was previously CFO of Catalpa Resources, which merged with Conquest Mining - both are also gold miners - last year to become Evolution Mining.
He has spent most of his 30-year career in the resources sector from startup-explorers to conducting acquisitions at larger miners.
Palmbachs likes working in small miners. “It is exciting – there is never really a dull moment, there is always that vision to grow,” he said.
As well as Catalpa, he set up Northern Territory iron ore miner Territory Resources with managing director Doug Stewart - but the African-based operations was another attraction at Noble.
“It looks like an exciting project, and I do like smaller companies and then growing them and no doubt there will be a merger down the track,” he said.
“Every CFO has to go around and have a look at the operation. There is no doubt that understanding the lay of the land is important when talking to brokers - you just have to appreciate the geography and the ore body and what issues you need to face,” he said.
Much of his initial work will involve getting the financial systems and processes and corporate governance in place to cope with growth.
One of the main challenges will be the “tyranny of distance” with the mine in Africa, management in Australia and one of their directors in the US. “Instead of coming in at 7 and leaving at 5, it is more like coming in at 9am and leaving at 7 or 8pm.”
Noble raised $20 million through a share placement on 8 June to fund the 3 million tonne per annum processing plant and development of the resource at the Bibiani Gold Project.
