I think it safe to say the consensus is they are out of cash. Diver made the point that something seems different now and the longer this plays out without a raise/dilution I would tend to agree. (Also noting it's Friday typically when they announce raises....)
Take care of the important stuff. This distraction will be here. The best!
If I were a betting man (I'm invested here each of you feel free to make your own assessment) I'd bet the farm Mr. Bigger has a recent photo of himself with Dr. Liau. Be nice to see said photo posted on Mr. Bigger's Twitter page in the near future.
Typical resume for someone embarking in skullduggery late in life.
Off to the best start in 14 years is noted.
I indeed am mixing up the two. Makes more sense that Cloughesy is heading up the recurrent trial keeping in house at UCLA. Reduces some of the angles and in the iconic words of Emily Litella "never mind".
I've been too busy to keep up with everything NWBO thanks.
It is interesting from many angles that Dr. Q is heading up the recurrent trial and it starting now/soon. I think Prins/Liau first brought this trial to light at least two and possibly three years ago. My opinion at the time was this trial was all about safety. I've modified that thinking/opinion since that time, but safety still very important. Wonder if Dr. Q had any influence in getting BMY on board?
Dude has lead an extraordinary life took one for the team (country) on more than one occasion.
As a BMY shareholder (and I've discussed before) they have some risk regarding SAE's with this combo trial. I'm certain they have their head in the game (pun intended). Especially in light of other issues associated with CI's that Longfellow has shed light upon....sans sarcasm.
I trust Wolfgang was not one of the 69 coauthors of NWBO's article.
At minimum a photo-op. Would not be surprised to see Dr. Liau on Mr. Bigger's Twitter page.
Good stuff, thanks.
Update to prostate probably taking longer than anticipated due to the prior data being so old it likely morphed into the silicon memory equivalent of being "etched in stone".
Russians have been probing the power grid. :)
As the preponderance of evidence presented by you and others indicated I was indeed behind the curve on first to file. Thanks.
ex, yes as noted NWBO has not acknowledged any process optimizations or improvements.
dmb, Per your earlier post I believe in you are correct first to practice is in the clinical trials. And as most here are aware trials can go on for protracted period of time. I will discuss with our IP attorney, but be advised our expertise is in technology so I might stretching their minds from a legal perspective. I'll also reach out to my pharma contact to discuss same.
Xena, Could be an indicator of vintage of most of my patents. Or there might be more too this I'll discuss with our IP attorney tomorrow and follow up with you and board. The first to practice brings more work to attorneys first to file certainly is cleaner.
Long, A few years ago (2015) I got into a discussion with Flip about biologics potential to have more art in their manufacturing/production. I had/have a theory about method B which is likely not patentable, but it's interesting this recent filing dances around what is not patentable in an area where they may be able to obtain IP. I have a few patents so I'll point out the filing date has less relevance in the U.S. than the rest of the world.. Rest of world is first to file U.S. Is first to practice. Meaning NWBO can obtain a patent, but if another company can document they practiced/performed what is patented before or within one year of NWBO's filing they can use the patent and not infringe. I agree with you, Koman at the time, ex and others have also made good arguments about the difficulties in obtaining IP.
That stated I'm intrigued by Doc's dd on L on what is patented "art" IMO. Perhaps the Germans view it as art too and the FDA is just a little slower in changing their view. Also noting NWBO is denying any "process improvements".
So, potentially less is more......if you will.
Well now, that is blinded. One would think Ms. Holmes would have more important matters to tend to and I'd think her shareholders would agree.
Long, Recently somebody posted MRK is paying/partnering with protein based vaccine in a combo trial on GBM. I own MRK (and BMY) I would expect both to try relatively "off the shelf" combos before moving on to combos with autologous type therapies. Autologous therapies must give BP some pause. However, knowing the difficulties of treating GBM and the limitations of CI's perhaps for BP it's time to move on?
Tilt, You have certainly given me the sense that you've called a bluff or two before this rodeo. Let's see what Dr. Bosch has in the cards on Sunday.
With the void (used loosely) created by Adam's absence it's nice to have Mr. Bigger in attendance to fill the void. Especially in light of this new era of journalism (used loosely). I may give more than casual attention to Mr. Bigger's Twitter feed during ASCO
Tonight there is an air of desperation!? Or error? Sad...
Wait for it...
Interesting. I was hounded for the ASM did not vote my shares until Saturday before. Did not vote my shares for today's meeting until two hours before close last night and not a peep.
That's bold, Doc.
Thanks, I enjoy and value the view from the sidelines as Dr. Liau and others do their thing.
Crazy......
AF simply attempting to get a response/reply (he's out of ammo) he attempted a similar ploy with Bigger a couple of weeks ago. Bigger didn't bite (albeit I liked his response to AF) and I doubt if Cofer will respond.....but in the scheme of things NWBO bat sh** crazy things do occur.
Borg is a good analogy. If you recall my initial thoughts on the rGBM combo trial It was more about safety. I've tempered that thinking some. Safety is still important aspect, but also think Prins and Liau are pursuing Borg-proof counter measures.
Bigger is skiing in dry powder and Adam has none.
Good call.
Wait for it. I suspect there is more to come from this on how NWBO will operate manufacturing wise going forward.
Adam working on the latest snow (job) report......it's a slippery slope.
Something to ponder. If Mendoza had played in the era before the mound was lowered and strike zone tightened would the contextual line exist? And would it be lower?
Too bad he was/is likely contractually/legally bound from making stock predictions/recommendations about his former employer. The stock which was heading for delisting has more than doubled since his departure. A buy recommendation on TST after his departure may of helped shore up his credibility and at the same time brought it in to question. Which IMO would be fair.
Gottlieb has impressed me. He certainly made the right moves in regards to Puerto Rico. We are better served with him heading the FDA......and he's probably better served avoiding a cabinet post too.
Did not vote my shares until yesterday. The persistence (multiple calls by a live person) to get my votes was impressive (and annoying, but I brought that upon myself).....would put telemarketing before "no call" listings to shame.
