Visser vote. Since Visser apparently has enough votes to control an election, at this stage can he substitute his nominees for election to the BOD?
And make a deal with Visser? What do you think is Visser's plan?
watts, I also am glad i found you. I enjoyed and learned quite a bit at the lqmt board.
For what it's worth, i also believe that Materion will/should acquire lqmt. But it seems that as part of their move they should some how buyout Visser. As a successor to lqmt's rights do you think they could manufacture without violating Visser's rights? It might depend on wether Lqmt reserved the right to manufacture in competition with Visser. 'nother question, might Lqmt merge with Materion in some kind of a stock swap?
My point is, if you're going to post something like that give a date or a link. Otherwise it does sound like something "new"
That's from a July 12 article in VisionAware. Hardly anything new.
I'm sorry, I thought they were liquidmetal as they originally claimed and and that they are being made under a 10 year non-exclusive license to Chang. If you have better information, please share it with us.
Vmatter comparison with damascus steel

Hey, they could sell knives. JMatter points out on its website that some damascus steel knives sell for over $1000.
Article/interview with Jason Kolbert on Stem Cell companies, but before Maxim covered ACTC.
Sorry if it was previously posted and its a little dated.

This is very discouraging. I just seached the Materion website and their included links and the web in general and I could not find a single reference to Materion and liquidmetal together except in connection with announcing the "strategic partnernership" of last year. Also I couldn't find a single reference to Nomad Sales, our sales representative, except in reference to their appointment as such last year. I was looking because I was trying to get someone to sell the idea of liquidmetal to high-end cutlery makers. If we have a sales force, I can,t find it. Who is selling liquidmetal? Where is Kang getting his? We're about to explode with new product and contracts? I think not. Maybe we should hire back one or more Kangs. They seem to be the only only ones who actually accomplish anything. I am not a basher. I am heavily invested in this, and only for the long run, but what the hell has been accomplished in since Steipp, came onboard? What are we wating for? Contracts from the sky? Please no more cheerleadig until we have something to cheer about. Bring a "prototype " to market or stop talkink about them. It's time for Steipp to sh.. or get off the pot.
Please make a copy of this post so you can repost it if it gets deleted.
I'm tired of hearing anything about Apple and I,m tired of hearing the same old...same old I guess i've reached "Mad as hell!". This should not be deleted. It is the honest and supported opinion of a shareholder. My only motive is to get us moving. I will try and send a copy of this to Steipp. Please show your support.
sandy4. I apologize. I didn't intend a personal attack. You sound like a very kind and friendly person.
My point was that the purpose of this board should be to inform and exchange facts about LiquidMetal.
We know that you have high hopes. Presumably, we all have high hopes. To clutter the board with needless repetitiveness or idle pumping or bashing only detracts from it's value.
sandy4. what is the purpose or benefit of this post? Your advice to hold?
kNIVES. Liquid_O, thanks for the info.Take a look at the range and prices of professional knives.

I think this could be a natural (and lucrative) market for liquidmetal. I'm not talking about the Kangs. Someone in sales, from either LM or Materion should approach these high-end knofe makers. If VMatter can bring liquidmetal knives to market, just imagine what these respected big boys could do.
Thanks for the reply. The VMatter knife sounds like an excellent product. I know from experience that professioal quality cutlery can be very expensive. Although the VMatter knives are expensive, their price is icompetive with high quality brands. I am positive all of the high end cutlery makers would be interested in the prospect of their developing liquidmetal knives. The only question, as you suggest, is whether the VMatter license grants them some type of exclusivity. How can we find out? It seems like our more knowledgeable posters are giving up on this board. Frankly I wouldn't blame them. Lately most of the posts here have involved repeating the same tired rumors or wishful and fancible speculation. It's difficult to cull out anything useful.
Sorry, there is no webcast. When I Googled I came up with last year's conference. Too bad. If Gary had anything worth hearing there would be a webcast. They should just play last years broadcast. It's probably exactly all that Gary would say now. ...just the usual "We are very pleased with our progress. we are exploring possible joint ventures. We are encouraged by our clinical progress to date.....and one patient has gone from 20/400 to 20/40. See you next year...if we're still in business".
familyof5. Why post old news?
Live webcast of Gary's presentation on Tuesday.

Question for the "old-timers" or anyone who knows the facts. Can Liquidmetal license Japanese knife maker Shun to use lquidmetal in their cutlery? With their reputation and experience they could easily outclass and outsell JMatter.

Investor Relations. I just called Investors Relations and asked them what's new. I mentioned that we shareholders are concerned that we hear nothing from management, that their blog and website are completely ouut of date and it appears that their telephones are not being answered. I spoke with a very pleasan gentleman who told me that Gary is presenting at an investor's conference in NYC on Tuesday, Sept. 11. He was surprised that no notiice was on the website or the blog and that the shareholders weren't notified. He said he would convey my message to Gary on Tuesday that we shareholders expect to be kept updated and that his should start with the company website and blog. I also urged him to tell Gary to take an occasional look at this message board to learn what our present sentiments are.

I mostly agree, but I think the push is going to come from Matereon and not Apple.
Phase I. When will we be able to say Phase I is actually complete?
Which side of the Pacific are we going to JV with?
Take a look at this. ACTC should be a buyout candidate now.

Nice find. It sounds like gearing up for liquid metal. What I don't understand is, '' telecomuting OK"
Gary's salary. Do you know that Gary received acash salary of $840,000 in 2012.?
That's without any of his stock perks.

Why would VPC need a red herring?
I agree 100%. It's just that my posts about Gary were childish. Louisa so obviously put so much effort into her post that she made me feel guilty for being snide. I too hope that Louisa is totally right, but in any event she cited facts to support her position. That Gary failed to properly report is also a relevant fact. A lot of our problem is we've been in the dark and Gary's conference calls give us nothing that we can count on. He never follows up. I believe he is ostensibly doing a terrible job as a CEO. I think our stock price would be a lot better and we'd be a lot more confident if he would drop the doublespeak and give us more facts...and keep us more current. I own other stocks here the shareholders are regularly updated...as though they mattered. Nonetheless, Louisa provided a needed perspective and I appreciated her speaking up.
Louisa, I've been a vocal critic of Gary for a while. I've delighted in posting his poker pictures. Your post was so thoughtful and so based upon facts that I've recognized that my feelings toward Gary were more emotional than rational. Your presentation of our present situation is compelling. I definitely will back off and give Gary the benefit of the doubt. Your reference to Dr. Lanza is persuasive on its own. I, like most here, firmly believe in the science we are pursuing. If you after your dd are willing to show patience so will I. Good job and thank you.
I just wish the company had as much interest as you in addressing shareholders' concern. Gary, if you read this, I apologize for my childish past remarks.
How could anyone not trust the intentions of this man?. What possible motive could he have other than to advance the interest of his shareholders?

Government grants. What was the final outcome of all of these grants. As far as I can tell the gov't has no present use of anything liquidmetal.

I sold today. I don't buy Danny's Hugh Hefner fantasy. Good luck to you all. Enjoy the models and the pie in the sky.
Did you include specifics in you complain? I believe there are many on this board that feel as you do. Would you consider posting a copy of your letter for our benefit? ?..or perhaps a private reply. I too am 70 years old and would like to see this company reach some of it's potential rather than bankrupt itself.
Dead in the water!
The Hugh Hefner of leggings?
Thanks.
