I know. I liked your logic on the original post... I was just having a little fun at healthcare's expense. For example, everyone knows more expensive is better. Good luck to ya. I'm on this boat, too.
It would be better for us shareholders if the company added to those costs instead of trying to lower them. IMO
Thanks! The opening act has been great. iCan't wait to see what happens when the news is confirmed
Thanks garyst, koldkash, and penny chaser for the early alerts here, gl to all of y'all... Was hoping to see a million trades today, but I'm not complaining. Lets keep the momo a go.
I had a discussion about this last night... When going long you can only lose x amount of dollars, if you make a mistake going short, you can be in the hole for much much more than your initial investment. Good luck to you, just don't get caught with your pants on the ground.
A bounce or fall would make sense... Is there really enough support to buy out the old holders and maintain these levels until the next wave?
There's room for both or neither.
Science also continues to use penicillin when amoxicillin is cheaper and has a broader spectrum... Point is, theres room for all efficacious drugs at the pharmaceutical dinner table... MANF and GDNF both work in preclinical studies
You don't have to create a conspiracy to perpetuate the health care system... People have been getting things stuck up their asses for a long time without anyone suading them to do so.
That makes sense, too. Honestly, the thought crossed my mind earlier. Maybe it's the full moon.
Prove it.
Shorts have this one now... It's either going down and the big timers win a little, or we get some buys and the little guys win big time
MANF... MANF XR... MANF SL... It would be nice to just have 1 sure-fire delivery method, even if it is first tested with GDNF. First to market is good, best in class becomes the gold standard. Go MANF!
Millions of cures for all diseases??? And yes, literally everyone believes the verified studies show potential for the future of this therapy... You must be scared shortless.
Don't be foolish. 13+ alerts for a 1 day pump of a solar company who has been marketing itself all over the place lately? In my opinion, This play is rising, not falling... It Only needs your xcitement.
So how do you suggest we develop new drugs without financing?
Great info on the science end, and we probably won't have dosage and administration info for at least 5 years...but MANF seems to be able to get to the correct site of action in test animals... Do you know how it was administered during these pre-clinical tests?
Good enough for me... I'm in.
These dips are nothing more than buying opportunities for the people who know they want to get in now. Yesterday's news was as good as it seemed... This is an independent biotech company. I believe the company looks at their financial gains as secondary to their scientific discoveries. I suppose the traders watching the board need something to talk about on this action, though. No worries, in my opinion. Steady as she goes.
Also, the presentation of the data was yesterday, not the discovery. The last run to the current price easily could have anticipated yesterday's news and now it's a waiting game for the "actual" investors to get on board. You know, the ones that are gonna be holding through the clinical trials (if it gets to that point ;) GLTA!
Welcome to the board, Stockadamus #thegreatstockseer
Let us not forget who the real winners are if this thing gets funded onto clinical trials... https://www.michaeljfox.org/foundation/news-detail.php?michael-fox-brings-slice-of-parkinson-life-to-television&utm_source=social&utm_medium=twitter&utm_content=MichaelJFox&utm_campaign=TVshow
Let the good Lord, shine a light, on this board, tonight. Everyone here is an unintentional pumper tonight :) Sample size was only 6 mice, but who wants to drink the entire pitcher of kool-aid in one sitting anyway. Sweet dreams to all!
I don't think it would do much to a completely healthy brain. But someone who has experienced minimal dopamine depression or degeneration of neurons in the targeted areas could see a restoration of previous activity that may have not been too noticeable until corrected. The brain is considered "neuroplastic" so it's pretty good at staying on top of function... until it's not. Maybe more like a "fountain of youth" than "limitless potential" although the clinical potential of MANF right now seems limitless, just not as a performance enhancer... In my opinion?
Not exactly. The word for that is "regeneration". Reinnervation is kind of like looking at the functional capacity of a bridge made of rope, 70-80% of the fibers break, but we add a coating to make the remaining 20% strong enough to render the bridge effective. Stopping the degeneration at 20% would be good, making the 20% stronger is even better.
I'm buyin 1 share at a time since that's what I can afford. No doubt the investment will pay off. Illumina IS next-gen sequencing technology, which is the result of the human genome project, which is to say the engine behind the human microbiome project. If this isn't my greatest investment ever, my life itself is a pretty poor investment. All of which, is my own opinion, and it's a very strong opinion.
Very nicely stated, Mr. Sharky. Looks like the end a loading phase to me... Who am I to buck the trend :)
These .0024 lots keep getting bought up, but there's no increase in price to follow. I have an idea of what this means, but please feel free to explain it to me in more concrete terms...
Regardless, I bought on the most recent shareholder update with news of investing in 8 producing wells (cool)and 1 salt water disposal facility (say wha??)
Then I remembered my research into the Texas Water Development Board and their impending progress toward opening of several salt water desalination plants in TX... Makes me think TGWI is in a position to be paid for the disposal of salt water and soon to be paid for the recycling of salt water into fresh water. So... I'm in.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I hope everybody here continues to get in and out at the best possible times. I have a small dog in this race and it is a joy to just be part of the action. GLTA
I'm glad I never asked you to untwist it for me. Although, perhaps if somebody could explain macro-economics to an occupist, the occupists would better understand their role in the system.
Lol. I told your where that number came from. It's kind of a tight squeeze.
For all you fundamental analysts... MANF is not (likely) a drug candidate.
It is a human protein that is expressed by glial cells (Nervous system homeostasis) during times of stress.
Typically, drugs are not the protein themselves due to an inability to deliver a protein-drug to the site of action.
A likely drug candidate would bind to the glial cell and trigger the synthesis and release of MANF...
With that being said,
the PhenoGuard cell line could be VERY valuable if a drug involving the release of MANF comes into being. All current research relating to MANF has been made possible through the PG Immortalization technique. They have opened the door to a new frontier in neuropharmacology research, however, the structure supporting the building on the other side is hardly defined...
I'm not a technical analyst type person, and this number literally just fell out of my arse, but they should be able to get ~2mln+ if they sold the PG cell line process plus royalties for any DRUGS that may get discovered from their property.
Basically,
the company has options. Lots of them.
They are not a Pfizer R&D or a typical P&D
Although at times, they pull from the rhetoric of both styles.
Not even sure if this is my final opinion, but If I'm gonna lose my load, it's gonna be with faith in the fundamentals.
I've been a loud critic of you in the past, but you have always been on top of your DD, and I totally agree with your ideas on this one. Please consider my antagonism jovial in nature and I wish you the best of luck... I'm sure a little dose of luck goes a long way with the amount of research you have put into your picks :)
What conditions would allow for a stock to jump this much and hold that new support indefinitely? This run, like all early movements, is backed by rhetoric and should not be considered an exception to the way you handle your stocks.
However, for what it's worth, I believe in what they're selling, so in theory, I wouldn't have a problem with buying in at .08 and averaging down if the opportunity arose. But I also started this one with a $30 investment at .22... so take my advice with a shot of tequila.
What does it mean when the bid is higher than the ask? Hiyoooo! If things keep going like this I'm gonna call this run the bend and snap like in legally bond. Don't get caught naked on the snap! GLTA, hope you're having fun with it.
Just look at the market cap even at these new levels. Does anybody recall what was paid for the license to the Phenoguard Cell Line? That thing alone is worth something, but the thought of getting MANF to human trials is chilling. I'm guessing this train stops somewhere between 10 and 30 mln for the market cap... Could go anywhere from .10 to .30 depending on how much faith investors have in the clinical possibilities of MANF.
And that get's us back to stage 1, where this whole boat started for me last year.
Yeah, their Phenoguard Cell line is hot! It's only a matter of time before that gives them a big boost, IMO. Immortalized mammal cells are very valuable for pharmaceutical research (or scholastic research) but they are also very expensive. Hopefully the stimulus will increase the demand for it... I mean does anyone else know where to get immortalized mammalian cells for less?
Because they got those shares for free... Possibly promoters. GLTA
If things always "progressed as planned" in the pharmaceutical industry we would have a treatment for everything. Besides, we're just barely 2 weeks out from a massive down swing so call it what you want, but this stock is moving some money as of late.
Just because they're a company it does not imply that they must be good with money. Maybe they had a plan that failed to execute... I mean chances are that if they knew what they were doing in the first place, they wouldn't be in such a financial sh**hole to begin with.
