What an ASS! Unfricken believable!!!!!!!!
This country is screwed if this ass gets re-elected!
Obama Rejecting Pipeline, Pokes Back At GOP
In a decision that quickly re-ignited a fierce energy debate, the Obama administration on Wednesday rejected the controversial Keystone XL pipeline because the 60-day deadline imposed by Republicans did not allow adequate time to review an alternate route through an ecologically sensitive area in Nebraska.
Deputy Secretary of State William Burns made the announcement on President Obama's behalf on the project that would carry oil from Canada's carbon-heavy tar sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast. TransCanada, the company seeking to build the $7 billion, 1,700-mile pipeline, will be able to reapply with a new route avoiding an ecologically sensitive area of Nebraska, sources told National Journal.
Put more simply, the Obama administration hit back at Republicans by saying no because of their forcing him to decide on the project in just 60 days. Republicans in Congress and on the campaign trail promptly painted the decision as a rejection of thousands of American jobs purely for political reasons.
(DECODED: If Mitt Romney Were a Democrat)
A spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, decried the news. “President Obama is about to destroy tens of thousands of American jobs and sell American energy security to the Chinese,” said Brendan Buck. “The president won’t stand up to his political base even to create American jobs. This is not the end of this fight.”
Texas Gov. Rick Perry also jumped on it. "The president's focused more on the next election than on the next generation."
The White House has been trying to thread a needle between two segments of the Democratic base split over the pipeline: labor unions that support the project for the jobs it would bring, and environmentalists who oppose it for the adverse impacts that development of tar-sands oil could have on the environment.

The administration’s decision was not a big surprise. White House spokesman Jay Carney and other senior officials have repeatedly said that the Republicans’ 60-day deadline, which was included in the payroll-tax deal Obama signed into law last month, did not give the administration enough time to appropriately review the project plans. The State Department announced last fall that it would postpone a decision on the permit while an alternate route was developed to avoid Nebraska's Ogallala Aquifer, which supplies water to millions of people.

The timing of the announcement was more surprising, since the administration had until Feb. 21 to decide. But a Wednesday announcement does make some political and economic sense. It allows Obama to go on offense before Thursday’s debate between Republican presidential candidates in South Carolina and before his own State of the Union address next Tuesday. It also comes before public anger could grow if gasoline prices continue their upward climb in the weeks ahead.
“This is the last day to own this issue on their terms,” said Kevin Book, managing director at ClearView Energy Partners, a Washington-based energy consulting firm. “The administration gets to explain their choice before it gets explained for them."
Now the administration — and Obama’s reelection campaign — will seek to do damage control with Republican attacks. It must also submit within 15 days a report to Congress detailing why it rejected the permit.
But the issue will not be dropped by congressional Republicans. GOP leaders in both chambers are already mulling other legislation that could take the decision on the pipeline completely out of Obama’s hands. They have also said any such maneuver could likely be included in the longer term payroll-tax deal Congress has indicated it will pass by the end of February.

Breaking: Sarah Palin: I'd Vote for Newt in S. Carolina
Tuesday, 17 Jan 2012 09:16 PM
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday night that, if she were voting in the S. Carolina primary this coming Saturday, she would vote for Newt Gingrich for president.
"If I had to vote in South Carolina order to keep this thing going, I would vote for Newt and I would want it to continue. More debates, more vetting of candidates," Palin told Hannity.
She also praised Gingrich's much-lauded debate performance Monday night:
"I do think that Newt is the one that won the debate if you will, because Newt came out like South Carolina's own Smokin' Joe Frazier," Palin continued. "He came out there swinging, talking about work, talking about jobs and work ethic and how government needs to get out of the way in order for all Americans to have a sense of opportunity to work, and I think that's what a lot of voters have been craving to hear."
Palin's husband Todd has already endorsed Gingrich for president. She stressed that she is not fully endorsing Gingrich, but believes the primary race should continue and dismissed the idea that Gov. Mitt Romney is the "inevitable" candidate.
"I can tell you what I would do if I were a South Carolinian…If I were a South Carolinian though, and each one of these primaries and caucuses are different, Sean, I want to see this thing continue because iron sharpens iron," Palin said at the beginning of the interview.
"Steel sharpens steel. These guys are getting better in their debates. They are getting more concise. They are getting more grounded in what their beliefs are and articulating what their ideas are for getting America back on the right track and getting Americans working again," Palin said. "If I had to vote in South Carolina order to keep this thing going, I would vote for Newt and I would want it to continue. More debates, more vetting of candidates."

Press release.
A New Company is Born in Maine
A group of Maine investors has created a new company called Windham Weaponry Inc, to manufacture and sell rifles. Led by Richard Dyke, former owner of Bushmaster Firearms Inc, a group of investors felt there was a great opportunity for a new company when Bushmaster Firearms International LLC decided to relocate the company to another state and lay off all its employees. These employees in many cases have 25 years of experience in making one of the finest rifles in the world.
The company will be located in the Windham Business Park where the old Bushmaster was located. The company is well financed and plans production in July with their first shipment in September. The company will hire, at the start, about one half of the employees laid off and hope before the end of the year to add many additional former employees.

GO Newt!
We need Newt bad!
Nice call!
Wow Broncos did great!
Are you a US citizen?
I didn't think so
Nice reply. ARE YOU A US CITIZEN?
They can't buy guns now. You said both (background check and goverment) when I asked who should determin who should be able to buy a gun. China, Russia, come to mind when the government desides who owns guns
You said not all should own guns? tell me why? True colors coming out?
What does that have do with my thought on your way of giving out the guns. Why do you think some law abiding citizen's should not be allowed to own a gun to protect themselves?
It just sounds like with your way of thinking 1776 would have been just another year.
Both you and the government?
Maybe you missed the post that said I do not own a sawed off shotgun.
did you get it that time. 18 inch barrel purchased that way is not sawed off?
You said certain people should not own gun. Are they the obvious the ones that won't pass the background check? Or are the certain people that shouldn't own a gun determined by a group of people one maybe someone like you?
In your world who should beside who will be able to own a gun?
If someone has a clean background should they not be able to buy a gun to protect themselves? Who says if that sale can go through. You? The government?
I see that.lol I bet he invented gunpowder too.
If it was the only gun I had close by and the intruder was armed. Absolutely!
The closest gun is 40 Cal pistol. Don't worry.
We will be just fine
I don't have a sawed off shotgun. I have a couple of mossberg 18inch barrel riot guns with pistol grip. I own lots of guns. I have a Springfield arms xdm40 40 Cal. Pistol with me at all times. I have a concealed weapon permit. I don't care what gun I use. I can hit just fine with all of them.
The guy asks if I'm stupid enough to make a mess in my house killing an intruder with a shotgun.. IMO you would be stupid not to. I know lock your self in the bathroom and wait for some to come save you. Or just die with a clean home.
Amazing the logic people have.
Never retreat.
No actually I didn't miss your point. If somebody is in my house they mean to do harm. I can fix the house. I can't replace a family member. So you put your house above the safety of your family. This isn't a gun board I will talk to you about it there if you like.
What does feeling manly have to do with anything. If they are in my house
They are there to do some harm to me or my family. They picked the wrong house. It is just a question as to who gets to shoot first in our home. They need to change their profession. The one they are in is far too dangerous.
I sleep very well knowing I can take care of any situation that may come.
I live 17 miles from the nearest town. Calling 911 isn't an option.
Everyone in my family wife 2 kids and myself have all taken or instructed gun safety
Classes. In our home gun control is good groups on the target.
I have several guns that would be in the sniper category. I have some shotguns18 inch barrel. They even have a bayonets. Because I can.
Because we can. Read my sig. Something new. Its called the 2nd amendment.
I am looking forward to shooting my elk next year with my 338 Lapua.
My best elk gun I own is a 338 Win Mag. It has dropped 20+ elk
I just fired it twice. I don't like doing it just wanted to feel the trigger. No bullets or brass yet. Can't wait to try that baby out.
I picked up another fine long range gun last summer.
Model 70 Classic Laredo LRH (Long Range Hunter) Heavy barrel 7mm STW. Fine shooting gun! I also have Ruger #1 in the 7mm STW. Looking forward to comparing long shots with the STW and the Lapua!!
God I love guns!!!!
Why is he still in the 40's approval rating? Hard to think there could possibly be that many STUPID people in this country!!!
