Wave 4 sideways a-b-c action.
Get with the dance, Captain Video.
We either correct in time or price.

<Haven't seen or heard from him.>

He went into hiding after calling for the end of the Bull market in 1987. What he overlooked was that his count was wrong. And then he fought the tape for the next twenty years. FOR SOME PEOPLE BEING RIGHT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MAKING MONEY. That's the paradox. "Never let your boat get too far from the shoreline," John Hill use to say to friends.
YES, you can do e-wave counts for any time period, Lee, but then we are into fractals and we're not a quant so we don't want to go there especially if we type a "T" for the "Y" next door on the keyboard AND we're long the Red Sox.
I'm assuming you are using RSIs and other TA tools for your quick trades. E-waves will keep you out of trouble and the best counts(interpretations) are the ones people mock.
e-wave = elliot waves
QLD 8/16 low should hold but three-day bias ("buy-us") to downside.
drip...drip...drip...
"I'm mad as hell and I won't..." LOL
Two too many e-wavers rollin' 'round predicting NOW wave 3 "crash" down. What are ure parameters for a crash? Gimme percents. Points alone look dramatic and the fat lady is always stage shy till the last minute. I gotta know before we head up in two weeks again.
"If frogs had wings Holmes, they could fly," replied Watson. "And you can't crash if you have not completed as of yet Super Cycle Wave 3."
P.S.
Ed Hart was a consummate TA man

Thanks for the post.
"Razzle Dazzle" at the turn, headin' for the finish line.
(FiniSSSSSSSSSShing up Wave B of Wave 4)
Back from lunch.
Turnip farmers believe in crop rotation, fertilizers and the need for aeration. My experience was watching farmers questioning the cost of everything and saying: "we do not need that here." It was common to purchase chemcals like Roundup and find them "cut" (diluted).
Do you consider Brasil in the mix? I'm somewhat surprised that no one has written about their lateritic soil being an achilles heel for ethanol expansion.
130 is a PnF number.
Should be interesting to watch.
Regards.
Do you see GS goin' to 130?
Henry Kaufman days. Create the illusion.
Absolutely, which is why we are going to start a melt-up in two weeks for yea of little faith. The gap today on the QLD is classic Wave 3 action. Notice that a short or long opened on 8/15 will be almost flat(89-91) by Monday's close. It's gonna bag both the QID and QLD holders. (More power to our Thai stick friend who nailed it!!!)
At least we now have the wave count starring at us. (Look at the four day QLD chart.)
As we talk----SIDEWAYS Wave 4 a-b-c action.
I missed this move. So be it.
<I think it simply needs "recalibration" due to hedge funds>
-------------------------------------------------------------
I'll take "recalibration" or "rapture"...whichever comes first.
That is why there are no letters after Z in the alphabet.<g>
<This ride has just begun,imo.>
Well for the record, I did not expect QLD to trade as low as it did today!(g) Your call was definitely the correct one. I was also more "impressed" by the manner and degree in which it fell and not that it fell! Early mornin' rises or falls do not worry me but a late day fall such as the one we had today catches my full attention. Those are the rogue waves that will capsize one's boat. It has been some time since we had a finish like this one.
Regards.

Pretty much everyone agrees on the ending to this novel.
It's the pagination that's causin' a bit of confusion.
Cheers.

Yes, but I'm hoping it's not going to be too STUNning. <g>
I do remember, nevertheless, a very wise man, years back, whispering in my ear that:
"It's always darkest right before it turns pitch black."
Let's say we have earned a four buck bounce in the QLDs before the close Wednesday. If we shave off another four bucks we will have the makings for a blow-off.
Then there is this interesting chart:

P.S. Hurricanes always tend to distract me from the market.

<I have 4 condos in Miami I would like to sell you.....>
Unless they're shrink-wrapped in fives no one is interested. <g>
P.S.
Almost an "insider" day (lower high & higher low.)
They still need to take her up before they can take 'er down. There's always late Tia's day, Westy.
Nice trading, Lee.
There's more tree$ from wHERE those came from!!
They wer the MMs for their invstor's lossses. That story somhow nevr made it into the tabl of CONtents.
A rather innerehhSTING business model.<ng>
1480 and then we rest.
<" Tell me Son, where's the upside here ? "
You are confusing me with the world's most famous carpenter, who was annointed with a capital "s" , but alas it has not occurred to you that I am older than you, which I am. Needless to say, I am flattered by this diliberate indiscreSHUN. <g>
As an aside, my TA says we should have a momentary, fast, but shallow weakness at the opening tomorrow followed by a sloooowwww but relentless rise to once again establish the primacy of MMs and QLD friends.
The 1973-1974 Bear market created our present-day matrices. Do you remember Honeywell, then?
Cheers.
Twenty-five years old.
An interesting dedication.
Prologue:
<...soothing...>
I thought that was John Templeton's role.<gg>
A Wave 4 on the QID and an impulse wave in the wings for the QLD and DIA...and they're gonna make us come back on Monday to see the ascending finale.
Cheers
Limping down the stretch...
along the Westy third rail..."RazzleDazzle"...
looking dazed...coughing...
panting...
disoriented...
"Am I in Kansas, yet? Where are my REDS?"
U need two more days like this to put Razzle Dazzle out to pasture. Ain't a done deal yet.
<Think we go down 300+ ? How about 350+ ...>
U need to go down more than 5-7% from the top to rattle the trend. Ain't gonna happen in here, IMO.

<no overnight holds allowed>
why? after four pm the freelancing begins. u can hear 'em runnin' overhead in the attic. <g>
(Seriously, two Wave 3 gaps for the QLD were started shortly after 4 in the past month. Someone on this string posted about the second one. That was different!!!<ng>)
No crash here. Strictly a TA game.
Couldn't even get the QLD's rsi down to 8/6 or 8/7 levels.
QLD now quietly WALKIN UP THE CHANNEL.
THE END GOAL OF A SUCCESSFUL PARASITE IS NOT TO KILL THE HOST(HEDGE FUNDS) BUT TO FEED OFF OF IT.

<is there anything else we can do for the Dark Pools?>
Yup...creATE a 3x QID <GG>
Porter
<Bernanke about to stick it to the Hedgies?>
Nahhh. Bernanke is NEWtral.
The hEDGIES haven't figgered out yet who is on the other side of their trades.
"...to maintain an orderly market environment."
THE END GOAL OF A SUCCESSFUL PARASITE IS NOT TO KILL THE HOST(HEDGE FUNDS) BUT TO FEED OFF OF IT.
<This is not a normal pattern by any stretch of one's imagination>
It's normal, without stretching one's imagination, if you understand the role of the QID. You may be vindicated in late October but until then it's strictly one day at a time.
Ignore the noise.
THE END GOAL OF A SUCCESSFUL PARASITE IS NOT TO KILL THE HOST(HEDGE FUNDS) BUT TO FEED OFF OF IT.
The rise for the day is pretty much over unless it turns into an extended fifth which is doubtful.
Manana.
I traded currencies in another life.
The CAD caught my eye two years ago, as well. Parity was going to be a "gimme" so you knew that wasn't going to happen. If you open a new position I'd still close it out in the 99+ range. You are going to see just a wee bit of congestion at the parity marker IF and when it gets there.<g>
And I do remember the fear AND the "rush" of trading the YEN daily.

If you were an MM and you saw every day a 10:1 ratio of QID:QLD, what would you do?

r u surprised it did not reach parity with the US $ ?
