For those of you that have not voted yet you can not be heard unless you vote. I voted my Fidelity shares electronically and my other shares via mail, I voted in favor of all. At this point in time unless you are short I can not understand why anyone would vote against.
Do Your Part and I'm Sure That They Will Do Theirs.

It only takes a minute.
5k invested in 1977 in Intel is now worth more than $815,793 today.
Apple
1997 – Steve Jobs returns to the company. Stock price: $4. Profit on $5,000 investment today: $870,000
2001 – Apple introduces the first iPod. Stock price: $10. Profit on $5,000 investment today: $345,000
2007 – Apple introduces iPhone. Stock price: $187. Profit on $5,000 investment today: $13,716
2010 – Apple announces iPad. Stock price: $270. Profit on $5,000 investment today: $7,962
Sept 12. 2012 – Apple announces iPhone 5 and release date for iOS 6. Stock price: $669. Profit on $5,000 investment today: $231.
If these guys can pull it off their entry will be similar to Intel and the Devices that it will be used in will have as much impact as Apple. Mr. Bintz come here (Watson).
Just Saying, IMO there will be many, many $5k's rolling in.

"Transformation of Business and Society through Technology" Nice find there Stevey, as the world catches on up we’ll go. The time for optics is VERY,VERY close now, most here were able to see that a few years back but we were the few and as the many catch on Up We’ll Go. As for Corning, no doubt Lou and Joe are still very active and in communication with Corning, I’m still thinking single mode, who knows.
We hit that 50k an hour on Friday, IMO in the near future that will be nothing, can you imagine when 1,000 investors try to buy 50k shares at the ask in short order, AND IT WILL HAPPEN. To date I wonder which of the current investors purchased the most shares on the open market in a single day?
I hate to say this but do I see $1.45 on the horizon this week?
Good Day.

This is what I'm talking about who's hopes and who did I call out this is just getting weird.
See that's what's so hard about a written forum. Many people read one thing and in their mind something else happens pretty soon it's total nonsense and then somebody takes it as gospel. Too busy for this nonsense l gotta work on the truck later guys I know better than to post when I'm misbehavingr
I believe he's talking about the Goetzs nice to see that position sold in March I bet you that I got some of that some of that. I don't know where he came up with that info though
Nice TH, shoot in my mind I put you in your mid 50’s or so,,,, ya know what I did over the years when Lightwave would get hammered is I’d move chunks that I held in a retirement account to a Roth IRA bite the bullet and pay the taxes. The way the country is heading taxes will no doubt be going up and you can pass it on down 2 generations or so tax free. If I remember correctly weren’t you a Lumera cat back in the day? Boy phew From day one, Man is that a mess over there or what, most folks over there are just now seeing it, shame.
Piney yes I remember you pretty sure your ol moderator buddy and his boss (wife) is heading to the beach with us mid week, I hope we all survive. And yes your comment about Turpin, um Z opened up the door at the SHM last year for any questions to Terry about his work but unfortunately no one took the opportunity to ask him publicly and I didn’t get a chance privately to speak to him about it, he has been hanging around waiting on the science end almost since day one, (back in the day I had heard that we were close to doing a deal with his old company when Northrop gobbled them up). If Terry’s work comes to fruition it will truly be the holy grail of Optical computing, it is scary to think how that technology could transform the entire world.
I’ve been poking around and I think that we will see some new faces from west of the Mississippi at the meeting, it will be nice to see them in person.
Wo Manhey, I know that you do not mean it but lets not get yourself in trouble, we need to treat these guys with respect or vote with your wallet and leave. I'm going to delete that post, K.
Yall have a good weekend.
I haven't' found anything, nothing in black and white that is, as for all of the Due Diligence behind my convictions it would literally take me weeks if not months to explain, not my job. And like I said If I found it I wouldn't tell ANYBODY. If there is anything that needs to come out that is what PR's are for, this whole internet thing has turned instant communications into yesterdays news as being ancient history. If they are working on something (and I'm sure they are) many here uncut, well never mind,,
I gotta Run, No Time to Proof

Not that it really matters but for those asking why the June the 30th date check it out, it looks like Sarge was tempted on the 30th to reply and that is when he created that ID, IMO it may be another year or so before we here from him (proly best that way).
IMO If this move up is due to a deal or the science this will begin to increase exponentially as new investors join but as always it won't be straight up as the attention span and investment strategy today has about as much commitment as a squirrel deciding if it wants to cross the road.
As the buyers outstrip those that are tired of waiting up we'll go. I'd say as little as an extra 50k per hour will put us north of,,,,,uh I'm not going to name a number, hey honestly I'm happy with a penny (1/2%) a day, I'm not in a big hurry.
This science is VERY difficult to understand and in the past many have bluffed their way in this field in order to make a quick buck, the world will be very skeptical as many have been burned. The team that we have at Lightwave is not about some quick flash in the pan technology but IMO rather they are about creating legacies. Honestly I have no idea what is driving this latest push and Honestly I Do Not Want to Know. Again if someone stumbles across it Please Do Not Post it, keep it to Oneself. If anyone thinks that Miller, Fasick, Eaton, Leonberger, Turpin, Glasgow, Zelibor, Lauro are here for the heck of it they should have their head examined. Like Sarge said, Goetzs were on to it, the very unfortunate accident of Fred Jr. delayed this, they have picked up the ball, IMO this mix with the Corning IP is exactly what they needed. We still do not know the details behind that deal but remember Joe and Lou came from Corning there is a ton of Single mode fiber out there and Intel can not figure out how to stay in the Little pipe (single mode) um, Legacy? You tell me.
X
And the remaining founder and the founders heirs and care takers are most certainly doing their part as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Goetz, she said that she would never do anything to hurt the company. THANKS to them for not getting greedy and hurting all of those that have helped over the past 10 years to move this legacy along.
One hand washes the other.
Gotta Run
X
Nice to hear from Sarge, guys it looks like some on here (myself included) are beginning to feel comfortable enough to start to pick on each other’s quirks like a sibling or a spouse after 10 years or so. Let’s man up and keep this on topic. Everyone contributes what they can, and as sarge said nobody knows everything, nobody on this planet that is. It would be nice going forward if someone figures something out they let it get brought out by the company. What has happened in the past is that we figure out something through connecting the dots, point to it out so everyone (including ourselves) thinks that we are the smartest person in the room, when the news hits we have already digested it, we read the release and think to ourselves well we already knew that or they hold back a card and it crushes our expectations.
This has NEVER been accomplished before but the time for this science is NOW (or in the very near future) IMO management is looking out for us. I’m happy to have taken the time over the past 7 months to have firmly establish a very nice position (not only for myself) and will hold on for the ride, although I may be tempted at times to try and play it, honestly I don’t have to guts, I believe too much in what Lightwave has.
Good Luck, hard to say what is going to happen.

Not as bad as West Virginia though,,,,,, follow me
I went to a wedding in WV a couple weeks ago and my niece married my niece,,,,,, honest,,,,,, ah but it is not what you are thinking.
One niece got ordained so that she could perform the ceremony.

We just need some solid indisputable news, it will come, keeping the faith.

I don't know, maybe my hard drive crashed, LOL. I think it is best if we drop this. Any of the Mods want to delete this you have my permission, use "Requested by author"
Any of you guys want a copy of that email with the reasons I had back then send me on to the ol x993231@yahoo.com. Walter or better yet vers might shoot me if I posted them.
I don't have a dog in that race so I'm saying out of it.
Thanks,
X
I found it and I stand corrected you did identify yourself, several people send me info. It looks like I worked on that response for about an hour. It was dated 2/5/14 at 09:31 A.M. if you can not find it. For the record I think I only posted on that web site maybe 5 or 6 times in toto. I consider you guys my friends someone asked me not to so I don't.
X
Not sure what is in that email but I guess you can post it, I'll add other things. Honestly I thought you were my cousin when I replied.
X
Just being honest.
Honestly I think it still is but if I post the reasons everyone will freak out. w should proly delete these, agreed?
Thanks yep I said sell Lumera at like 60 Bucks a share and I said sell NIOBF at .71 I agree, Thanks.
Duck X
Lol, OK so then we are safe for 1 year. Thanks for your guidance.
Oh and for the record Lauro wasn't involved as I understand it just as we were told he is working deals not raising money.
X
I here you let them come to you, I finally have a minute to watch this today, this is brutal just sitting here like a monkey going after crack, minutes feel like hours, ulcers in no time, no wonder some are beginning to loose it. TH When the folks wear their emotions on their sleeves IMO others take the clue and sit back on the bid to see if some get bummed out follow and hit the sell button, folks currently moving in at oh about 100k shares a day. That's about all that I have to say, What a great lunch hour for the kinfolk today though (I had to look up the word to make sure that I was using it properly).
IMO those 80's we had were a treat for everyone that had any scratch available.
X
You make it sound a lot easier than it really is. I won’t get into the entire process but I don’t think that you will have selling, nope, they will proly just sit in the safe for most. Because I’d bet that the majority are already in this, when a deal comes in, the higher it is the higher a deal will be and that will affect the rest of their shares. IMO they want this to head above a buck then I think you’ll see the warrants exercised to start the long term cap gains clock. I think LPC may just hold this under a buck for a while. I’m wondering what is going to happen when the company that owns the modulators they are currently using sees the ish coming back from the foundries, we may see some sort of agreement at that point for a single device, perhaps some money, who knows, just a though.
Again Just my opinion.
X
Course we won't buy at the ask. Come to Papa
No that was moodispa
Yup it quantum physics, we all remember Joe Miller putting his hand on his chin and saying, now what was different between this batch and the last batch, we need a feedback loop, now they have one, it is working and they are tightening, tweaking etc. And I agree they have their act together now, they are moving along in a logical fashion and Rather than constantly beating themselves up those that cannot hang proly should invest in something more concrete, already developed with a fixed return. Or reduce your position so that you no longer care, or wait until they ink a few agreements and then just buy back at 2 or 3 bucks that way you will have less shares to worry about. ;)

"We previously reported that the first material offspring, Perkinamine MalachiteTM, has been operating in one of our thin film devices for over six months in our new lab in Longmont, Colorado with virtually no relaxation of the molecular arrangement and at approximately twice the electro-optic effect of legacy, inorganic-based modulator devices."
"The journey BEGAN last fall when we demonstrated that we could successfully modulate light in a slot waveguide modulator."
“I don’t know what you are bitching about I had to 800 pack o cigarettes to get this jacket, Lol”

Although it is nobodys business but mine, If it makes anyone feel better here are some my buys from long ago, ya know I still hold those shares if I didn’t believe in them I’d be outta here. Quantum physics is far and away over my head. I’ve done as much as I could possibly due double check everything and getting angry won’t help, I’m a big boy I made my decision, if I’m wrong, I’m wrong, oh well getting mad at myself won’t help, along the way if there was something that I thought I could change I did, again we can only change what we can change. Honestly I cannot affect the science. When I bought these shares Gig was $40 per share I made a public call then, luckily I saw right through that one. There are more than a few here that the gig call helped. oh never mind.
Anyway if I didn’t put the money here I most likely would have spent in on toys and the lord knows I’ve got enough of them to maintain. OK here they are, don’t laugh too hard. Looks like in 2005 about $300k or so at avg. of $2.17 per share. I stopped keeping track then. I’ve been above water a few times, hard to tell what I’m at now, trying to tread water at 1%. And yes I earned every dime of it.
Not sure why but sometimes it makes others feel better if they see someone appearing to do doing worse than them, IMO if this remains undervalued on the street,,,,,Pvt.?

Whatever guys, OK it is best to put money in then slam as much as possible while holding, sounds like a good strategy (wearing ones heart on ones sleeve), so have at it Gents.
So on this IMEC foundry, any idea who is picking up that tab? The idea behind Opsis was to keep the cost down do you think Lightwave is doing that run on their own?
Like I said picking up a few k next week.
X
K, I guess, so um are you saying that Leonberger, Miller, Fasick, Turpin, etc. are just playing around here because they don't have anything to do and Z is making stuff up or do you think that perhaps they are making progress just not as fast WE thought they could?
In any event I don't think that you are doing yourself any favors by constantly picking, picking, picking. Just an observation. I'll be picking up more next week so the negativity won't hurt me it may actually help.
Who knows when we will know if in fact they have what it sure looks like they have, IMO it has some sort of parameter that is just out of whack or not in line with what they need. Just a guess. IMO they will get it, if I didn't I'd be out of here I certainly wouldn't leave money here AND complain unless I had the solution.
Have a good week.
X
What's up with you lately Buz?
I mean really, lately you just appear to get off on going about as negative as you possibly can. Come on now.
Sorry but that is how it looks from this side. We are at a decent number now and if you have given up proly best to sell and move that money somewhere else, no need to remain invested and constantly complain it isn't good for you or your investment.
X
We all have our price: mine is somewhere between five and ten million. Honestly I don't care how I get there and I'm certainly not in a hurry but I'll be happy with that number.
X
LWLG will be bought out long before a product is boxed and on the shelf, Period. I have never looked at this play as revenue producing machine but more as a biotech buyout and now with devices value is added at each step as the end risks are mitigated. There is no way that the IBM’s, Intel’s, Google’s etc. will let someone else control their destiny and these materials can do that. Currently they are working on multiple projects any of which has the ability to get them (us) taken out. In the end we will all get to vote.
As for new info, I wasn’t aware of exactly what they looking for in their polymer that was new (a good question for them at the SHM would be have you meet ALL of those parameters, and if not which are you struggling with?), I have a feeling the answer is yes they have, but repeatability is the issue.
I wasn’t aware that there are several versions of Malachite.
I wasn’t aware that a device was running in the lab for six months. <- - - Running not sitting on the shelf.
I wasn’t aware that Malachite showed no signs of relaxing and you can bet that it was not protected.
I wasn’t aware that they finally have a logical ordered progression of component and device development, The completion of each successful step in the progression will substantially eliminates technical risk of the end goal — producing an integrated photonic system. Again they will be bought out long before and each step adds value.
I wasn’t aware that a third party “alternative opportunity” was still allowing them to test their newer materials in an existing slot waveguide modulator design.
I wasn’t aware of the Bleached Waveguide Modulator effort/testing. It looks like modes can also be changed in them Single to Multi (little pipe to big pipe) but I don’t think Visa versa (big pipe to little pipe) which I think is something that Intel would love to see.
I wasn’t aware of 3 pronged DOD BNS effort. You know at last years shareholders meeting no one asked Terry Turpin about the SLMs that he has been working on for 5 years. I’ll try to remember this year.
That’s just off the cuff; I guess you have been paying more attention than I have.
As for the trading, honestly I think LPC doesn’t understand nor have the time to understand this science. IMO they may be putting up blocks just below a buck for physiological reasons. Tis OK it will not affect the science, once one of the next steps (there are many, not sure which) is taken/announced it will jump up proly like 2 bucks, they will change that position, That is just MY opinion. I cannot believe I may have yet one more month (next week) to grab some of this below a Dollar. The question is does the company need to tap them for the next step at like 2 or 3 bucks?
First time in a while I took while to post my thoughts, we have a great management team now, remember that the path to success is not always a straight line but honestly unlike some, I’m VERY comfortable with the quality of Lightwave’s Employees, Consultants and Management TEAM. You guys remember in the past I absolutely had screaming matches toe to toe, eye to eye, led charges to remove board members etc., and unlike many would attend the Share Holders Meeting, this is completely different than anonymous bomb throwing on a message board. I do not think that trying to second guess them at this juncture is going to help them make decisions any faster or better.
I’m Happy as a Clam, Folks I think those shares below a buck are gift, just as I said about the 80 cent shares during the raise, those days are gone just as these 95-98 centers will be soon. Please Don’t take this as Gospel, I’m just posting my thoughts and day to day trading will do what it will do, a 10k sale at market will make it go up or down but as legitimate demand outstrips legitimate supply the logical progression is north, IMO up we’ll go.
X
F2 I just grabbed a cheap hotel in Denver (1/2 hour) I'm renting a car arriving in the evening the night before renting a car driving to the meeting (1/2 hour) in the morning and flying out at 5:47. If you are arriving at anytime near my arrival 8:52 P.M. we could ride partner up. Guys (I know F2 won't but there a couple others, Lol) I won't be misbehaving cause I want to be sharp for the meeting. Hit me up with a text if you need any info or have close flight times. I will not be willing to wait at the airport though (hour difference bed time ya know). The best (psychological) part about the meeting is talking to them in person it always s helps when you can look someone in the eye when you ask a question. Lately you sound kinda bummed.
I just hope the hotel isn't a dive.
Oops company just arrived, later
X
I agree Reds best to date, because of all those that have tried, lied and failed this is a "show me story", We'll get there. Once a deal of any kind is inked, IMO we will proly need to cut LPC loose and we can get this bird off ground. During the offering was proly the last best chance any quantity of cheap shares, those shares (supply) have dried up now, IMO we'll see some that think they can still sell at this price and play it again, but IMO, sorry Charlie I don't think so.
X
I only have a minute, I just read than again and WOW am I excided. Back in the day the Goetzs could only have dreamed about a roadmap to success like this. IMO it has taken a very dedicated very talented management team to lay out this plan. They have many, many different branches that can bear fruit and I have no doubt one of these will succeed in the near future and it will be adios amigo. The pressure is off about on the money front and There will be pressure to bear on the hybrid modulator company as well as the foundry runs get closer. And remember there other foundries that I’m sure would like a crack at it. IMO For investors to read this and only see the bad is that they are seeing only what they want to see. “What can I read in this press release that is bad and pick on it?” It reminds of when I mow the lawn and my wife tells me that I missed a spot.
Remember SHM at the hotel a few years back and Joe Miller stating “we are going to change the direction of the company from a materials company to a device company because sure you could have a nice lil business selling material or we can drive the market with devices” Drive the market guys.
Go Lightwave, get em below a buck while you can, I’m pretty sure that someone is intentionally holding it below buck to make a point, and I’m loving it, suck em up folks they will not be available forever.
And yes, no time to proof and I gotta run.
X
That was in response to a deleted post.
Parallel, Bleach, 1.0, running for months no relaxation, several version of malachite......
Off to bed

Ready "FIRE", Uh Aim.
http://www.sensorsinc.com/LADAR.html
I like the release I think you guys need to take your time to digest that info. Lately everyone is kinda getting off on whining so I won't interfere. Hey we're good for over a year on cash as for LPC I'll hold my comments.
X
Lol you guys ponder the math I'll ponder the thread count and don't read too deep into that as far as Lightwave is concerned
The probability of finding a particular velocity v1 is given by a Gaussian distribution:
Pr(v = v1) = A • e (2.1) where v_0_ means the average velocity = 0, and _v_2__ means the average of the square of the velocity. Even though v_0_ = 0, _v_2__ is definitely not equal to zero. This is the “spread” of the distribution.
Remember that:Ekinetic = 1–2mv2 Pr(v = v1) = A • e 1–2m__v_2___ = spread in the energy = E_ Pr(v = v1) = A • e–(E/E_) (2.2) energy is proportional to temperature. That is, E_ = constant • T and Pr(v = v1) = Pr(E = E1) = A • e–(E/constant • T)– 1– 2 m(v12)_1 – 2m

Just Something for you guys to ponder and comment on, as for me, I’m Off to the beach to check out the 2014 Swimwear (gotta love the global warming bikinis, much less material ya know) and find a good crab cake joint.

Honestly every raise that I've participated in there are always those that are in until it comes to writing the check. I'm glad the raise is over it should dry up the supply.
This is my take on authorizing the share count increase, They have 57 Million outstanding (count in all the warrants and options it leaves them with about 20mil to work with) and they have not raised the authorized shares since 2004 (pretty good). Increasing the share count does not dilute the shares unless and until they are issued, I’d guess that they are shooting for what is listed in the 14a proposals on page 23 “Company with the ability to issue shares in connection with acquisitions”
IMO That’s why!
Too busy to splane it all and lay it out an black and white but dats what I’m thinking, as for a release, honestly I hope they save whatever they have for the shareholders meeting but that’s just me.
I'm voting my shares in approval for all, IMO this is not the time to try and change something (we don't have all the facts). But hey I'm sure that many of you are smarter and have much more experience in senior management and bringing a new product to market that they do.

I don’t know if he is or if he isn’t, I don’t know if he is participating or not, but one thing that I know is that he is NOT getting a commission (or whatever you want to call it) on the PP as someone once posted. Logically speaking I’d guess that he is probably bringing in a few investors and if he does participate that will speak volumes. My guess/hope would be that Lightwave wants to spread this out and not put it all of the voting power/influence in one persons lap. No matter what some say on here IMO these guys are looking out for the investors both large and small. So they have just pushed back the need for cash until next year, I’m guessing that by the time they are done with the PP and when the warrants are exercised (to start the long term cap clock) later this year (or next) funds for 2014 and 2015 will be in the bank and the “going concern” will not be included in the next q and k.
Lauro and company will then be able to sit down and negotiate our deals from a position of strength. Let us ALL hope that he makes mucho dinero in the end. I'm looking forward to meeting him at the SHM (hopefully).

Don’t think so Odd they have x amount of days to report it looks like the first date was 6/9 from the first subscription so that 1.5 came in, (carry the one) at a rate of about $100k a day, pretty good, some are kicking around the 4th as the close, not sure if that is locked in stone, when the cup is full I guess that they will close the door. You have to admit it is nice to see Z turning down free shares and buying.
