Good morning! I wonder what, if any, effects the whole Russia/Georgia conflict will have on the Market today.
At cash 100% right now so I'll be looking for some cheapies. LOL!
Not good. So South Ossetian wants to remain independent of Georgia enjoying financing and military support from Russia. Georgia's new leader wants to pull South Ossetian back and attacks it's capital; taking it pretty easily apparently. Russia tries to get UN resolution but the other members don't like the wording due to the lack of condemnation of Russia to use military force. So Russia attacks anyway.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/hasgeorgiaoverreachedinossetia;_ylt=ApSS_vNFf.GqvVDkrm9oApVbbBAF
That goes for Russia and Putin as well, eh? Why wouldn't you hold him to the same standards as GW? GW at least had some UN resolutions on his side before attacking. Who's kidding who? The U.S. is one of the few UN members that actually follows the rules. Where's the outrage over Russia's bombing of civilian targets?
My argument is against the UN and not GW.
LOL!

"Putin condemns strike against Iraq, calls for swift end to war
By Alex Rodriguez, Chicago Tribune
European edition, Friday, March 21, 2003
MOSCOW — In an uncharacteristically sharp rebuke that demonstrated the Kremlin's deep sense of alarm, Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned President Bush's decision to launch a military strike against Iraq and called for a swift end to the war."

"US faults Russia for rising violence in Georgia By JOAN LOWY, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 41 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - Russia's use of overwhelming military force against Georgia, including strategic bombers and ballistic missiles, is disproportionate to any threat from the former Soviet state and could escalate tensions in the volatile region, a senior U.S. official said Saturday."
F'ing hypocrites.
I don't think it matters either way at this point. There's enough info on Rufus to last quite some time. No one will be buying anything that has his name attached for a very long time. I'm referring to rational buyers. LOL!
You think the Bulls will own the market for a while now? Oil's down so much. Seems we're going to recover a lot of ground.
LOL!
Try this:
Reagan - Cold war going on to the tune of about 100 billion.
Bush Sr. - Military spending still up but dropping. Raised taxes after promising not to and higher unemployment. Democratic Congress.
Clinton - Military down by 100 billion since Reagan, taxes remained about the same. Pork spending reduced. Republican Congress.
Bush Jr. - 9/11 happens. Goes to war with Iraq. Military spending way up. Taxes cut. Never saw a spending bill he wouldn't sign. Republican Congress most of the term.
Let us know when you're talking about a REAL Fiscal Conservative and not the neocon type. John McCain, IMO is the better of the Dem/Rep runners as far as curbing spending.
Still looking to see what's the catalyst here. I wonder if Cramer pumped them again on his show. If so, look for puts. If not, look for another acquisition and a run past $80, IMO.
Wow, what a monster! They must not know that I sold my DIA puts already this morning. LOL! When they find out, this will TAAAAAAAANK!
I actually made a small profit off this. By the skin of my teeth.
Put VFC on watch.
And this is part of the reason why:

Nice!
Thanks for this! I wish this wan't my last post of the day. I have a feeling this will be fun. My favorite line from this one is:
And this may just be the straw that broke the camels back per say for the parties (demons) involved!!
Hilarious! OMG! So THIS is the final straw, eh Rufus? What about all the other pieces of straw flailing about to find camels backs from 2 years ago? Did they never make it to the camels to do the damage? LOL! "Demons" Oh my!
posted by boss
No we are not waiting for the filing!! That has been made very clear!!! Some how FED=EX delivered the motion to the Judges chambers room 1701, instead of where it was labeled to room 2211 or the main mail room per instructions. The Judges Clerk is saying that they were not responsible to see that the filing got to room 2211 to be filed, so the filing is considered as late (beyond the 10 days) and thereby moot!!
To those of you that do no see the deception in this, Kiss Off!!! This was and is a blatant disregard for our Federal Rules and Constitutional Rights!!! And this may just be the straw that broke the camels back per say for the parties (demons) involved!!
Now with that being said the filing was just a Motion to Reconsider and set a side!! Nothing more than what was filed in November of 2007 that took 8 months to answer!!
No, this is not end game, by no means!! And No I am not going to reply as to why and how it is not, events will evolve that will make things clearer!!
GODSPEED and GODBLESS everyone
Any Born again Christian's Enemy is Gods Enemy!!

Never said anything about liking or disliking. Using polls is silly in the first place but fun to look at and perhaps use as a baseline. But to start critiquing them and explaining why they don't show data the way you want is ridiculous. Not to mention referring to a non-scientific sample poll as "facts". Now that's not only ridiculous but hilarious.
LOL! I like polls. And it's entertaining for me to watch how some get so absorbed with them.
Good luck!
LOL! You don't like the poll results so critique the polls to death. Hehehe. Polls are useless. You can critique and lean on a poll all you want. They won't get you squat in the end.
I think so. Seems Obama is losing steam and McCain barely begun. Hillary will probably leverage that.
Remember, she said she would finish out her term as a Senator before running for Prez. She broke that promise though I wouldn't hold anyone to that. Not sure that's a fair promise.

As long as we read only that with which we agree, we learn nothing. - Chester Dolan
What burns me up about countries like Germany and France (the whole damned UN, really) is how they in general like to back the U.S. on resolutions in paper form only. They back the U.S. when we give financial aid abroad.
That's what I loved about GW's actions in Iraq. He basically told the UN to go f itself and it was about damned time.
Now, IMO, let's just leave Iraq unfinished. Let the U.S. be just like Russia, China, Germany and France in the UN. Let's do nothing. When asked about foreign aide, let's not lead it but ask the clique "what's your plan". I sincerely believe the U.S. should do nothing outside our borders when anything comes up as a resolution in the UN. After about 1 year of that, people across Europe and Asia will soon realize that the shouldn't have bitten the hand that fed them... LITERALLY.
A few years ago, I'd have said let's just leave the UN. But that would be quite costly. We should remain in the UN and do absolutely nothing except vote in favor of whatever the Europeans back. But offer no military, money, or food support unless the other members get on their knees and ask. We should conceed to helping but in return, they will have to get together and figure out who's turn it is to forgive some American debt.

Interesting. That's very good info for those of us that get upset for picking losers.
I think Chicago was number two for having the largest deficit. I'll admit, if Georgia's retirement for state workers was 90% of the salary, I'd work hard to get that job and remain in Georgia. As it is, I'm going to find a state job in Sacramento! LOL!
A Congressional seat would be worth more than IBM's Sam Palmisino's salary and bonuses.
Man, when do we start outsourcing VP level + jobs to save money?
Oh no, say it ain't so! Obama supports big oil by voting on legislation written by none other than Dick Cheney. LOL!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080805/ap_on_el_pr/obama
In stumping Tuesday in this key battleground state, Obama sought to link the troubled economy with Republican policies and offer his own energy plan in contrast. He has tried to cast McCain as more concerned about oil company profits and drilling than an overall energy strategy.
However, Obama himself voted for a 2005 energy bill backed by Bush that included billions in subsidies for oil and natural gas production, a measure Cheney played a major role in developing. McCain opposed the bill on grounds it included billions in unnecessary tax breaks for the oil industry.
The Obama campaign has said the Illinois senator supported the legislation because it included huge investments in renewable energy.
McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds, said, "Barack Obama is opposed to offshore drilling and is also opposed to admitting that he voted for the same corporate giveaways for Big Oil that he's campaigning against today."
LOL!
A new Obama ad says Big Oil filled McCain's campaign with $2 million in contributions and that he "wants to give them another $4 billion in tax breaks."
That $4 billion consists mainly of potential revenue from a McCain proposal to lower corporate taxes on all American businesses.
The McCain campaign pointed out that the ad doesn't mention Obama has taken some $400,000 from oil company executives.
LOL, again!
It's kinda hard not to raise taxes when you have this type of challenge, which isn't only in California:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080731/ap_on_re_us/california_budget
Democratic and Republican lawmakers are divided over how to close a $15.2 billion deficit, with Democrats favoring $8.2 billion in new taxes on corporations and the wealthiest residents. Republicans want a spending cap and oppose tax increases.
California is a nice micro example of what our entire country is going through.
Even if you agree with some Democrats that we can just keep taxing the wealthy more and NOT cut spending, at what point do you stop taxing? Republicans are just as guilty but in smaller numbers. Unfortunately for George Bush, he got stuck with a Republican lead congress that liked to spend money.
Taxing corporations? LOL! I don't know of any corporations that pay taxes. I know they "collect tax" and then "pass it on" to the government. But a supposed tax increase on GM or Ford = higher priced vehicles.
Did you guys know that California state workers get 90% of their pay when they retire?
Edit - OMG! I just found this, speaking of California:

Ordinance would require shelters for day laborers
Daily News Wire Service
Article Last Updated: 08/05/2008 11:50:59 PM PDT
LOS ANGELES -- Companies that open large home-improvement stores in Los Angeles would have to set aside space for day laborers under an ordinance unanimously approved today by a City Council committee.
The proposed ordinance was passed by the Planning and Land Use Management Committee, but must still be approved by the full council.
If passed, the ordinance would require new home improvement stores that are 100,000 square feet or larger, or any building or structure where 250,000 square feet or more of warehouse floor area is added, to set aside space for day laborers seeking employment from customers.
So Los Angeles is forcing private companies to accommodate illegal immigrants... errrrr..... day laborers. LOL! Call it what you want but it's a blatant move to promote illegal immigrants, PERIOD. No wonder the place is going bankrupt. Folks in northern California have to be super pissed about that. Even though this is a city ordinance, this promotes a strain on California's medial systems and just sit back and wait for the illegal immigration to make it's way north. Perfect.

OMG. Nice intelligent response.
I'll put it really, really simple for you.
I'm telling you right now that you will suffer an ailment within the next 30 days. I can't tell you what it will be, what part of your body it will be on, how it will happen, what degree of ailment it will be, or what day/time it will occur.
But when you stub your toe, burn your hand under hot water, or whatever the case may be in any number of places you will find yourself, you are going to think back to my post here and say to yourself, "Man am I dumb. Samaelrocks warned me this would happen."
LOL! I hope that helps you understand that you can't blame GW any more than you can blame Clinton for the 9/11 strikes. Hehehe
That was a fun last freebie post of the day.

We should have dropped dandelions on them and caused them to go broke buying weed killer. That would be a diabolical retaliation for attacking Pearl Harbor.
The fact you left out intelligence that Bill Clinton had before Bush took office discounts the value of your post to zero. Hell, some of the more wacky left wingers believe Bush planned the attack himself. Or even the Jews. LOL! If you guys can't get on the same page, can't you make an effort to situate your a$$'s closer to the center?
The way some of you post, you'd think that Bill Clinton handed GW a blue print on how to capture Bin Laden and how to prevent the 9/11 attacks. LOL!
To believe the pelethora of left winger conspiracies, GW was handed intelligence that Al Qaeda was going to attack, the Jews were going to attack, Russia was planning to attack, and his own administration was going to attack. GET ON THE SAME PAGE PLEASE.
My guess is that Saddam was harboring considering one of his higher officials was going to hand the guy over. And I hate to do it but GW declared victory when Saddam was over thrown and eventually captured which was the main reason for the war. Whether it was a right or wrong reason to add for going to war is not my argument here. My argument is that I'm ready to see some left wingers here conceed that Al Qaeda members were in Iraq before we struck. That's all.
Can I get that concession? LOL!
_____________________________________________________
As long as we read only that with which we agree, we learn nothing. - Chester Dolan
I wasn't going to get into the quantity of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Just that it was and is a fact that Iraq was sheltering some of them. But since you posted it, let me help you with the differences between Iraq and your examples:
That would be like Israel invading the US because we sheltered Nazi War Criminals. We did? I thought the U.S. played a part in taking down the Nazi's and removing Hitler from power... in comparison to our concurrent effort to remove the Taliban/Al Qaeda and identifying those who harbor them. Since their's so many countries that actually do help the terrorist group, maybe we should have thrown a dart and decide who to attack. LOL!
Or Uganda declaring war on Saudi Arabia because they sheltered Idi Amin. Uganda, I guess, lacked resolve. Let's not compare Uganda to the U.S. since Uganda doesn't get critisized for protectionism while not paying other nations charitable goods while their currency decreases in value and debt grows.
Man, being a super power has a lot of responsibility.
_____________________________________________________
As long as we read only that with which we agree, we learn nothing. - Chester Dolan
Interesting. Now, can you tell your left wing fanatics that there was an Al Qaeda connection?
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2003-09-17-iraq-wtc_x.htm
And from your post:
He said that to demonstrate the Iraqis' willingness to help fight terrorism, Mr. Habbush offered to hand over Abdul Rahman Yasin, who has been indicted in United States in connection with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Mr. Yasin fled to Iraq after the bombing, and the United States put up a $25 million reward for his capture.
I expect never again to read on this board that there were no Al Qaeda in Iraq.
Thanks!
LOL! Another anti-Obama poll result for you pollsters out there:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080806/ap_on_el_pr/poll_obama_overexposure
Poll: Nearly half hearing too much about Obama
Two-thirds of Republicans and about half of independents said they've heard too much about Obama, as did a third of Democrats, a significant number.
My take here - The remaining 1/3 of Republicans want to hear more about Obama because he'll just screw up his own chances the more he tours. The remaining half of Independents actually WANT to hear more from him because they are undecided. And the 1/3 of Democrats that said they are tired of hearing from him are probably from the south. LOL! In all fairness:
At the same time, nearly four in 10 said they've been hearing too little about McCain — about four times the number who said so about Obama. About half of Republicans, four in 10 independents and even a quarter of Democrats said they've not heard enough about the GOP candidate.
My take here - Republicans are always boring and no one really cares or expects anything more.
The poll was conducted from Aug. 1-4 and involved telephone interviews with 1,004 adults. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
My take here - Proof that polls don't mean very much. One thousand interviews? LOL! Hardly scientific.
For those that love Polls when Obama is ahead, here's a little sobering news piece for ya:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080806/pl_politico/12334
Obama stalls in public polling
The Republican president is historically unpopular. From stunning Democratic gains in party registration to the high levels of economic anxiety, Obama should have a healthy lead by almost every measure. Yet, in poll after poll, Obama conspicuously fails to cross the 50-percent threshold.
Interesting. This is EXACTLY how it looked during Bush vs. Kerry. Polls mean nothing.
Like I've been posting, Obama will conceed before midnight.
That's weird. LOL! By Friday, oil will jump a dollar or two on Supply worries. Watch. Hehehe
But thanks for that update! Always appreciate the market news that comes to the board here.

Of course it is. It always has been. I posted because I got tired of seeing the ridiculous questions and conspiracies surrounding the trades.
Call your broker. They could call down to the floor and see if there is anyone willing to buy or sell. The prices just can't be quoted publicly, thus, a market can't be made. Nor can a "value" be placed on it.
Pinksheets is your friend for info on POS stocks:
http://pinksheets.com/pink/quote/quote.jsp?symbol=bhub
Edit - Since I'm a freeboarder, I'll leverage this post to answer any questions on Grey sheets. The answer is that no one really knows and depends solely on YOUR broker and whoever is clearing the trades. There is no FINITE answer for grey sheet stocks.
_____________________________________________________
As long as we read only that with which we agree, we learn nothing. - Chester Dolan
The VALUE is NOT changing nor does today's PPS reflect what it will trade IF it is ever listed back to the pinks. No one is making a market. The trades you see are simply matched trades and has no bearing on selling or buying pressure.
That is what makes this a grey sheet stock.
There are no market makers in this security. It is not listed, traded or quoted on any stock exchange, the OTCBB or the Pink Sheets. Trades in grey market stocks are reported by broker-dealers to their Self Regulatory Organization (SRO) and the SRO distributes the trade data to market data vendors and financial websites so investors can track price and volume. Since grey market securities are not traded or quoted on an exchange or interdealer quotation system, investor's bids and offers are not collected in a central spot so market transparency is diminished and Best Execution of orders is difficult.
