Whatever Malc. 1.8m as of 12/31/16. Surely you won't argue that.
WERE. Not are.
The 1.8m is the derivative liab as of 12/31/16. Almost all of that was settled in March. We don't know the exact state of the liabilities now. But it's NOT 26m of debt.
I'm well aware of the 10k. But that number isn't debt in any way, shape or form.
TM....WHAT are you talking about? Your facts are NOT EVEN CLOSE. 26m of "cumulative debt?" What is that, anyway?
MMs have strangled this stock into a zombie state. They shake it around a little when they need some buys, but they won't let it run.
You're so skeptical. Maybe someone just wanted to buy $1.18 (+commission) worth of stock....
Would be a nice day for a solid PR. Everything is stable, looks like some people want in. Some good news might make for an enjoyable afternoon.
What is a StrainPoint? What value does it give to users? Is it important to have, or is it a non-issue?
I agree. Nonetheless, if you do a google search for MYDX then iHub seems to be the majority of the results so it's important to keep a presence here, too.
Not that I see, but I haven't been watching closely. Last week Yaz indicated that there is only $36k of convertible debt left. If they took on more since then I wouldn't think it would have matured yet (and it would run in direct conflict to his message). So...if that happened (and I don't think it did) I'd be deeply disappointed.
The dilution trading patterns in Jan and Feb were very easy to spot. Many millions of shares (tens of millions in some cases) hitting the sell ticker in a matter of 5 - 10 seconds. It was scary. The pattern here looks to me like smaller investors taking a little money off of the table...probably not comfortable waiting any longer. My guess is that some folks will downplay my observation and say "I'm don't put any faith in the games that MMs play." So be it. This has been my observation.
Busy morning, so I only have one more post left for the day. I'll be radio-silent unless something major happens.
Best of luck.
J
Ha! Of course! I was saying that Yaz had, indeed, suggested Cash Flow Positive in Q4-16. Wasn't in any way saying that Malc is always correct.
Not trying to step on toes, but Malc is right. In December Yaz suggested Cash Flow positive by the end of 2016. The toxic debt tornado put an end to that.
I don't know...we all have access to the same information. The question, in my mind, is "do you trust Yaz or not?" I'm long, you're not...so we disagree on that one.
Have a great day.
J
Not arguing the fact that expenses are more than revenues Malc. That's the definition of "operating at a loss," and goes hand in hand with "not yet cash flow positive." But, realistically, that's the nature of OTC companies...right? They are trying to take the next step up, but haven't quite made it yet.
If they were giving $800K per year to Yaz instead of spending it on R&D and Marketing then I'd have a real problem with it. But they are spending the money in the right ways...getting the product to market. Marketing isn't 100% effective - sometimes it just doesn't work like you want it to. Only time will tell.
Some folks aren't on board, and that's fine. As they say, that's why there's a horse race.
I'm off to work. Best of luck to all.
I've seen the term "fundamental trainwreck" used to describe MYDX.
If you want to see trainwrecks just look around you. I looked up the top 10 stocks on the iHub breakout boards. Only one had a 10k posted (most had no SEC filings whatsoever). The one that was current was a non-Edgar version. None had any audited forms or statements whatsoever.
MYDX is transparent. What you see is what you get. They file the required SEC forms each quarter, and give honest commentary (along with about 80 pages of industry standard boilerplate). If you don't care for 1.8m in G&A expenses in a year (rent, insurance, salaries, telephones, travel, professional fees...basically everything except R&D and Sales/Marketing) then go downstream to a smaller non-reporting or private company. If you're trying to launch a new product, a certain level of expenses are required. If you are concerned about the risks associated with marketing plans that haven't paid off yet, then by all means pull up eTrade and put your money in SPY. You'll get your 8% return with a lot less risk.
MYDX isn't perfect, and it hasn't hit its stride yet. Products are coming, marketing is churning...hopefully sales are coming. I think the future is bright. IMO.
Come on Malc, don't do this. You know what G&A expenses are.
What are the specific bad numbers? We have been discussing these for a week now....I dont think there were any surprises.
What is your concern about Yazbeck having control of a ton of stock? I like the fact that he has a lot (LOT) of skin in the game.
Werbe, you do realize that the 16m loss resulted from financing activities and not operations, right? Ie expenses related to the toxic debt issuance.
(if you replace spaces with periods, the mobile version sees it as being one single really long word, so it doesnt wrap to the second line. Basically unreadable. Just thiught you'd like to know)
Educate us. What happened?
Ask is thin this morning. If somebody needs to buy a million shares they'll bump it up to .0145 or .0150.
11m shares bought vs 8.8m shares sold. Feeling optimistic.
How do you know that will happen? Do you know something that the rest if us dont?
How so? Seems pretty good to me.
Good article. Gives a fair and balanced review. Quote:. "At first blush, it’s hard to find the misstep here."
I'm interested to see how much of the debt was settled in March. Optimistic.
Why do you need that Highlander?
All through Jan and Feb you were griping about the price being too low. Now it's too high. Make up your mind! : )
It takes 10 minutes to boil water. Sometimes it feels like way too long, but how often do I boil water, and do I really need a $400,000 nuclear reactor in my kitchen to boil the water in 2 seconds?
These units are testing canna, water, air, whatever...and they will most likely not be used 5 or 10 or 15 times in a given day. They'll be used once, and put away until next time. TM, if you think 3 minutes is too long, then God love you. I don't get the impression that analysis speed was the issue today.
I'm beat. There's no logical reason at all for today to have happened, IMO. Everyone have a great weekend.
699 is retail price, right? No idea of what the margin arrangements for resellers look like.
I disagree. I havent seen anything other than transparent communication from DY. In Jan he said "theres a lot going on, seek FINRA advice before investing" (sic).
I dont recall anyone else mentioning that they were deceived into thinking that the company had no debt, although you do so on a daily basis (which is fine....who's counting?).
Maybe look through the facts and post something that gives us something new to consider. I think most here are open to substantiatable facts. We've invested money, so if its at risk please educate us.
No need to butt heads. Income is generally net income. Revs less expenses = income.
Yeah, Ill give you that one. I think the explanation could be referred to as "the toxic tornado of dec, jan and feb."
I need a little more info to respond to that. Earnings and Net Income are used somewhat interchangeably. Di I misspeak somewhere along the way? Not sure what you are referring to.
I dont know....Clays been fair this week. I like his videos. Well done and easy to follow. Seems like a solid guy.
Malc, for months you've been telling us to wait til the 10k came out to see the mess that awaited us. Are you finding anything that we didnt already know about?
Absolutely. If the company made 26m in net income this year, then at 12/31/17 that number would show zero.
