I think we need to figure out who he is, who he works for and what dirty laundry he has (YA affiliation). Not sure, but just get ready to bend over...that seems to be the norm.

Unbelievable yet Believable
Massive volume, no good or bad news, yet down 33%. F you Laura, et. al.
Feel sorry for whoever is on the buying end of the selling.
Also throw this out there, they need to sustain cash flow to pay operating expenses. The cash has to come from somewhere.
I'm seeing a bid at .19 and an ask at .12. Anyone else seeing this?
edit 30 seconds later: Nevermind, as soon as I post this it goes away.
You really think we can hold .15 for a week with the greed that runs through YA's blood?
Not likely IMO. Her strength's are in marketing and I think that's where she has and will continue to shine. I think she'll fall back onto a marketing director position or remain a marketing consultant and let some other sap deal with all the BS of being a CEO.
If they are in Europe then it's 10:30 pm there. They are minimum 5 hours ahead of us.
The podcast isn't happening. Sounds like empty promises again.
Well yeah, save the best for last...because I can only imagine the amount of people looking for mobile news on a Friday evening! You need to wait for everyone to get back home from work, feed the kids and get them to bed and then....well then they'll unleash this amazing podcast. It has been and still is worth waiting for.
Yeah, I really don't have a choice. I dug my own hole and jumped in at my own discretion.
Hey, I'm sticking it out hoping for the best...I expect this company to turn around, with time. But I also expect for history to repeat itself.
I always hope for the best, but expect the worse. Time will tell.
So what's up with this podcast from Laura?
First suppose to be the 3rd, then the 4th, now no mention at all and not posts.
Makes one wonder what kind of $(#! hit the fan to pull Laura away from the commitment.

Agreed Neom will never have to pay YA back, but I would guess it's because YA won't permit them to. YA literally sits on the board and is the chief operating officer.
Got your drift loud and clear. We can fix the market cap easily though with a reverse split. Why the hell not, not like Neomedia has ever stopped kicking us while we're already on the ground.
So very sad to see this happen....AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN
Well, I guess if history repeats itself then we should be getting some other good news in about 2 months. And we'll get back up to this past Monday's share price.
This is exactly why I refuse to invest another penny into this POS company. I wonder if this new SVP realizes he may have just shot himself in the foot by having his name tied to Neomedia.
That's a big fat negative.

On a side note, absolutley amazing we are at pre-ebay news PPS.
I guess YA just returned from lunch and realized the PPS was too high for today. Glad they got that issue resolved.
USA takes over as world’s top user of mobile barcodes
http://www.gomonews.com/usa-takes-over-as-worlds-top-user-of-mobile-barcodes/
One of the parents of the entire mobile barcode industry, 3GVision‘s barcode scanning software is used all over the world. Today, it has released a look at the growth and changing use patterns of mobile barcodes around the world at the end of 2010. Top of the list is that, as a country, the USA now scans more barcode scans on the 3GVision platform than anywhere else.
What’s the news?
The two biggest news items are these:
• Q4 2010 saw a 447% global increase of barcode scans
• For the first time, the US slipped into the top position – but it’s not the fastest growing country. That honor goes to Canada.
The Top 10 countries for scanning barcodes are as follows (the number in brackets shows what position they held during Q3:
(2) United States
(1) Italy
(3) Germany
(10) Hong Kong
(7) France
(15) Canada
(5) United Kingdom
(6) Netherlands
(4) Thailand
(11) South Korea
Of more interest are the countries that are seeing a real surge in barcode scans. The 5 fastest growing countries during the same quarter display an absolute explosion in scans:
Canada (442% Growth over Q3/2010)
Hong Kong (399%)
Germany (262%) – 3GVision expects that Germany will soon overtake Italy on the Top 10 list
Norway (146%)
South Korea (142%)
What we think?
Much like Scanbuy, 3GVision is reporting an exponential growth in the number of scans it sees month by month. For years now, the use of mobile barcodes has been growing in tiny increments – but 2010 seems to have begun what looks like a vast surge in their popularity. It will be fantastic to see what 2011 has in store.
LOL, it's always a good buying opportunity with this stock...that is if you work for YA
So are we still blaming the PPS drop on 2010 tax write offs???
I think he's passed out some where in some night club. He deserves to reward himself for all those US deals we've gotten...oh, wait. I think he's just a hack.
Unrecognizable??
So they will be unidentifiable? Not sure what you mean by that but I understand it to mean no one will know of Neom. Similar to our current status, unknown just drifting around :(
I'm glad to see someone actually employed as well, and someone from the US marketing to the US.
I'll bet he'll assume the CEO position in Q2
Also bet we'll be below .10 tomorrow.
Nothing like a plummet in the closing minutes, I guess YA isn't happy that we didn't get hyped up over a new hire. They'll show us!!!!!
les, I've seen them listed for a while on that site, for a few months for sure.
I would expect the end of the month for Neustar to change things around, it will take some time to decifer out the pilot stats and move it into a working model.
Pop, what's your take on this new SVP of sales? You're involved in the mobile industry, right? Have you heard of him or his companies.
2011 Outlook for 2D Barcodes
From our 'no longer is pilot mode', Pilot Blog from Neustar
http://mobilenextbigthing.biz/2011/01/04/2011-outlook-for-2d-barcodes/
From an overall market perspective, there are two key drivers that are influencing the continued growth of mobile marketing and advertising in 2011 – smart phone adoption and the expansion of 3G/4G networks. Smart phones will continue to proliferate with more consumers owning these devices and using mobile applications. The expansion of 3G and 4G networks is leading to much faster connection speeds and the ability to instantly connect users with content whether it is coupons, videos, or product details.
These two factors are not the only drivers for mobile marketing but will contribute to the adoption of 2D barcodes on an accelerated path. With this in mind, here’s a look at where we see the 2D barcode industry heading in 2011:
Shopping
The focus for 2D barcodes will be as much on information and utility as it will be on entertainment and shopping. We’ll see continued use of barcodes for information gathering, but they will also enable more creative marketing, allowing companies to demonstrate how products and services work together in unique ways. We’ll see a significant uptake of barcodes to get people into stores to experience and buy products, as well as an increase in related applications such as grocery store apps and the integration of location-based services and maps. Barcodes offer a unique opportunity for co-op marketing among different brands, as well as between brands and retailers.
Enterprise Adoption
There will be more 2D barcode use in the enterprise. The mobile workforce is driving new enterprise applications that integrate with existing workflow and CRM solutions. 2D barcodes will enable easier access to these applications as well as more effective reporting and tracking. There will also be new uses for 2D barcodes within supply chain management, as 2D barcodes allow for more data than traditional 1D barcodes.
On-Ramp to a Deeper Experience
For brands, 2D barcodes are simply an introduction to the consumer. They offer a call to action that draws consumers in to learn more and allow companies to start conversations and engage in ways that will accelerate ongoing brand engagement and loyalty.
Integrated Mobile Marketing
Other mobile marketing mediums will continue to grow as well and we’ll see more integration of these into single campaigns such as SMS, smart code-based advertising and mobile Web advertising. All of these mobile mediums will work together and each will act as a springboard to another.
Industry Fragmentation
Unfortunately all of this growth and opportunity will lead to more market fragmentation. Due to the richness of the medium, there will be even more applications introduced into the marketing mix. A lack of industry standards and/or open technologies will further fragment the ecosystem and create interoperability and compatibility challenges.
Neustar will continue its work with industry players — brands, retailers, barcode campaign management providers, mobile operators and agencies — to develop a trusted neutral barcode interactive mobile exchange. Working together as a marketplace, we can demonstrate measurable return by creating consumer metrics and an opportunity for aggregate data and analytics that provide a holistic view into the impact of barcodes and associated applications and value added services for the consumer and enterprise markets.
Bringing the marketplace together by providing the opportunity for compatibility, so the solutions become more integrated and seamless, will allow 2D barcodes to become as ubiquitous as SMS. By connecting all players, we can leverage the power of what each player has to offer, enabling 2D barcodes to become the next World Wide Web for mobile advertising.
I like how everyone here is being more conservative now with news that comes out about Neom. Before, a SVP announcement would have 50 posts by market open. Amazing how totally getting screwed over and over again really wakes us up.
Nice to see we are hiring permanent people. Now, anyone know anything about this guy other than the obvious google searches? Thoughts?
GOMO also said they do not know of any conference call held by Neom (in the comments section). Sounds like they don't follow companies anymore that don't sponsor them.
Agreed, very poorly written...just a lot of copy and paste from the 8k with little thought from the writer as to what it may mean.
Reminds me of my college days, waking up 2 hours before class trying to write a research paper with a rather intense hangover...it seems like the author rushed to get this posted.

I saw this about a month ago and it disappeared from the homepage, just noticed it was moved to the contact page on the site. Incase there is anyone that hasn't signed up yet.
If this were any other stock I'd agree with you 100%, but since this is NEOM I'm sure it's safe to say we'll continue the decline into the new year until something of significance is PR'd...then the cycle will continue.
.05 spread between bid and ask, yet we open at the bid. I figured YA would have taken the day off, but I guess not.
About time they pick up on it, I figured they would have done a much larger piece on it though.
2D Barcodes: 2010 Year In Review
http://mobilenextbigthing.biz/2010/12/30/2d-barcodes-2010-year-in-review/
As the end of the year quickly approaches, we thought we’d take a look back at how far along 2D barcodes have come over the past year. There were definitely some memorable 2D barcode campaigns that captured a lot of media attention. Many companies in various industries have embraced the technology and integrated barcodes into their marketing and advertising campaigns.
Calvin Klein made headlines in the marketing industry when it replaced provocative photos on billboards across New York City with large barcodes that could be scanned to reveal a 40-second commercial featuring models Lara Stone, “A.J.,” Sid Ellisdon, Grayson Vaughan and Eric Anderson. There was a great story in Mashable on this campaign: “Calvin Klein Jeans Replaces Racy Billboards with QR Codes”
At the SXSW Interactive show this past spring, QR codes appeared all over the show’s promotional materials including flyers and postcards as well as on people’ business cards and t-shirts. There was even a QR code on each attendee’s badge for quick access to their contact information. See the Fast Company article What Business Card? Just Scan My QR Code for more details on this clever use of QR codes.
Here’s a look at some of the various industries that have tested this new technology in 2010:
Arts & Entertainment (IronMan2, True Blood)
Automobile (Chevy, Mazda)
Education (George Mason University)
Publishing (Washington Post)
Retail (Calvin Klein, Bluefly)
Real Estate (Coldwell Banker)
Sports (Detroit Redwings)
Transportation (American Airlines)
Travel & Tourism (Canadian Tourism Commission)
We’ve also seen some interesting recaps of mobile barcode campaigns pop up over the past few weeks:
That’s Great!, a blog written by Great! CEO and Ideologist Dan Smigrod, recently listed the Top 101 Major U.S. National Brands Using 2D Barcodes. Among those on the list are Barnes & Noble, Crayola, Coca Cola, Disney, Nike, Nieman Marcus, Mountain Dew, and more.
Warbasse Design, the company who brought 2D barcodes to the movie promotion industry with IronMan2, Tron and others, recently released a 2010 Designer QR Codes – A Year in Review which highlights the company’s campaigns.
This year also delivered some initial statistics on the size of the barcode market. In October ScanBuy reported a 700 percent increase in the use of mobile barcode scans as viewed from its own network, and Microsoft has claimed that more than 2 billion of its TAGS have been printed.
While all this activity clearly demonstrates growth, 2D barcodes remain an emerging and nascent technology. Since there are so many companies out there using so many different barcode technologies, it is hard to get an aggregate of the market as a whole.
2010 was a great year for 2D barcodes, but we are still not close to widespread adoption. There are still challenges with interoperability, proprietary technologies and an overall lack of awareness among consumers. There needs to be standardization around barcode readers and symbologies, so there is less confusion for the end user consumer.
We expect the growth to continue into 2011 as more marketers embrace mobile tools and technologies and interoperability issues become resolved, and as consumers understand what to do when they see a barcode. Keep an eye out for our 2011 outlook post in early January for more details on where we see the market heading next year.
Bid at .13, guess we'll be down there at the close. Too predictable.
You're on the wrong exchange if you're looking for a company that generates major revenue. A great product, yes we have it.
I am hopeful the new direction of the company will generate much needed revenue, become self suffiecient and YA will be not needed. Until then...this sums us up.
Donkey: Neomedia
Carrot: Potential revenue in an exploding market
Driver: YA
Straw: YA's money
Donkey Poop (not pictured): Common Shareholders
If the balance sheet looks better then the company looks like it's doing better then it really is, based on its assets and liabilities. The lower the stock price the better the sheet looks...lower stock price equates to lower liabilities. Makes the net worth look stonger then what it really is...ON PAPER.
New investors may see this and are tricked into thinking Neom is worth more then it actually is...they may invest, YA gets new blood, and the cycle continues. Seeing that NEOM is run by YA, it's in the best interest of NEOM to have a low stock price.
