Welcome to the board Alec...Neither has QDVision/Nanosys as they fought for the EU exemption to be able to use cadmium quantum dots. QDVision has nothing to do with the CFQD by Nanoco/Dow. QMC perfecting their CFQD will be another feather in their cap that will further extend their title as MARKET LEADER.
"The quantum dot-related patents extend Quantum Materials’ ability to synthesize numerous heavy metal-free organic periodic table groups in addition to its own inorganic Group II-VI composites. The company intends to incorporate each patent into its advanced production processes, including high yield InP/ZnS nanocrystals, a heavily researched QD in high demand in optoelectronics."
Food for thought: It's very likely QDV is pushing edge technology because of their limited QD production capacity, it's market ready and the manufacturers want a new improved quality product to generate new sales. The chip technology isn't supported by their QD quality due to temperature limits and they can't support QD production for a full screen higher quality display. Since they are in the technical end for incorporating their technology to existing manufacturing processes, with minimum impact, when they license the tech the QD's may be separate. QDV customers incorporating the screen technology could be possible QMC future clients.
I think this is a more likely scenario, next generation screens are full QD displays with QMC's lower cost TQD's, using Dr. Jabbour's screen printing techniques. It's a higher quality picture, more energy efficient and the lower cost TQD's provide the competitive edge manufacturers need to entice customers to folk over the doe. They would currently be testing and generating new manufacturing ways to incorporate the process, that is time consuming and may explain why QMC's superior product hasn't been adopted.
Another thought is why would a new company want to be involved with companies that reverse engineer and down right steal your technology? The first two on your list have corporate offices there. https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0LEV1toNSNUXRYA6o5XNyoA;_ylc=X1MDMjc2NjY3OQRfcgMyBGZyA3VoM19tYWlsX3NyY2hjb21wX2EEZ3ByaWQDbVV2TGcyemFSRVNIcjdrb3V1MDB1QQRuX3JzbHQDMARuX3N1Z2cDMARvcmlnaW4Dc2VhcmNoLnlhaG9vLmNvbQRwb3MDMARwcXN0cgMEcHFzdHJsAwRxc3RybAM2MQRxdWVyeQNjaGluZXNlIHN0ZWFsaW5nIHRyYWRlIHNlY3JldHMgcmV2ZXJzZSBlbmdpbmVlcmluZyB0ZWNobm9sb2d5BHRfc3RtcAMxNDExNjAyNjgx?p=chinese+stealing+trade+secrets+reverse+engineering+technology&fr2=sb-top-search&fr=uh3_mail_srchcomp_a&type=2button

Another tangential use for QD's - teleportation
http://www.cnet.com/news/scientists-make-quantum-leap-teleport-data-farther-than-ever-before/#ftag=YHF65cbda0
If it wasn't so why would Toshiba have spent the time and money to submit a patent application with 9 references to QD's last year?

Welcome to the board.

From the 10Q:
"In August 2013, Robert Glass resigned from the Board of Directors and terminated his employment agreement. The Company intends to request that Dr. Glass return his 5,000,000 share signing bonus and agree to cancel his 5,000,000 options signing bonus. The Company will consider legal redress if necessary to accomplish the foregoing. No assurances can be given that the Company’s efforts to have the aforementioned securities cancelled will be successful."
I doubt highly Dr. Bob shelled 0ut ~$300,000 to exercise the options that Steve would have had to approve. So 5 Million is the magic number they are looking to get back into the treasury. An excuse to lower the SP, I guess; but the MM don't need any excuses on this exchange. Will be good for all when the company moves to a better market.
Quantum Materials Corp. 20 MINUTES = 10 DAYS??? QMC now produces the same quantity of superior quality Quantum Dots in 20 minutes verses the ten days to produce in the past.
(Click HERE to see actual production)
Consider yourself lucky because once people finally get what this technology is all about; to quote Steve, "MIND BOGGLING"
The exposure is great but the importance of being mentioned in this article for me is at the bottom about the author Ken Werner. Even though QMC didn’t have a display booth, he still takes the time to discuss the company. This is why it’s important for the future: Ken Werner is Principal of Nutmeg Consultants, specializing in the display industry, manufacturing, technology, and applications, including mobile devices and television. He consults for attorneys, investment analysts, and display-related companies.
He wrote in the article Jamis1 posted: http://informationdisplay.org/IDArchive/2014/SeptemberOctober/Materials.aspx
“Two other quantum-dot companies are not yet in commercial production for displays but deserve watching.”
“At the time of Display Week, Quantum Materials Corp. (QMC) announced that it had received its higher-capacity equipment and would be launching volume production of its tetrapod quantum dots (TQDs) several months ahead of schedule. The announcement read that “production-phase equipment is capable of producing 250 kg of quantum dots per annum.” Early in August, the company followed up with an announcement that it had achieved a 95% quantum yield with dots produced in an automated production system.
QMC claims greater efficiency and consistency of application with tetrapodal (as opposed to spherical) dots. Although the dots’ tetrapod shape could be exploited to produce different intensity or color of emission in different directions, isotropic emission is the goal for display applications.
To sum up, many new quantum-dot-enhanced products to be introduced this year will have Nanosys and QD Vision quantum dots inside them, but do not forget to keep an eye on Nanoco and QMC.”
It's nice to be on the radar screen as it always attracts attention.
True, just got back from DC.
When we are the size of those companies that you named, have the financials that they have, I don't think communications will be an issue then.
Looking like it is going to be a long and very strong run in the future.
Generated in 20 minutes what has taken TEN days in the past! Now the competition's financial backers can watch in utter horror they were sold a bill of goods. QMC - See The Light!!
Two words 4u -
MEGA GROWTH!
Could qTQD's surrounded by TQD's address the superradiance and superabsorption theory known as the Dicke state? http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/2014/sep/03/superabsorbing-rings-could-lead-to-better-cameras-and-solar-cells
Done for the day.
Thanks Crunch! Cancelled my level 2 two weeks ago over the recent on goings. Didn't really need it any more since I've acquired enough and have no plans of needing L2 when I release a few around $2.
Now that the news of the industries growth keeps getting better and better every day, it's a matter of time - tick - tick -tick!
Would be nice but I wouldn't bank on it. I'm just glad they got the patents they did. What a great business deal that was on Steve's part.
The time period is one factor. Need to fix a price that is acceptable to everyone so it is not a burden to attend for some with smaller share amounts, then the time period could be determined. imo
QTMM Consolidating before the holiday, Start your DD before revenues and contracts have you playing catch up to the run!
Nice recap Chessmite of the major points that add value to the company from the individual press releases. Looks like they are making sure they have all their armor on so they are bullet, mortor and bomb proof before they step on to the front lines of all these explosive markets!
LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD!! Nice recap of the events that have unfolded and a truthful perspective of those events. Posts like that will help those looking at the company to make an informed decision to invest in Quantum Materials Corp and their subsidiary Solterra Renewable Technologies, Inc.
Me neither, I really don't know and it was for the last 60 days. I had to change it.

Who knows how much they dumped prior to that. Remember the large blocks that were at the .06 range. Remember when we would approach .09 and it would get slammed back down? Wooferwax is right, who knows how different the stock price would be if they hadn't intervened.
NON dilutive fact post 29033 implies lies!! Fact! Per the post 29033:
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wrong, what we know for sure is there is no "cash". And the only means to get cash is dilution or loans for convertible share (dilution).
That is unquestionably the fact. "

The fact is on February 6th 2014 QMC negotiated the funding for future use…on just this type of revenue generating opportunity. So WHERE DID THE CASH COME FROM? Quantum Materials Secures Funding to Initiate Expanded Tetrapod Quantum Dot Production http://prn.to/1nddRf3 .
To Quote W.C.Carson who provided the funding, “We look forward to continuing our support of the company as its Tetrapod Quantum Dots progress toward adoption and large-scale manufacturing."
Fact, Cash agreement, no dilution

Quantum Materials Acquires Bayer Technology Services Quantum Dot Manufacturing and Quantum Dot Solar Cell Patents
Bayer Patent Families Expand Quantum Materials' Advanced Material Offerings, Reinforce Intellectual Property Protection of Automated Quantum Dot Manufacturing Processes and Enhance Quantum Dot Solar Cell IP to Drive Future Development, Partnerships and Revenue
SAN MARCOS, Texas, Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Materials Corporation (OTCQB:QTMM) today announced the purchase of five diverse sets of patent families from Bayer Technology Services GmbH, the global technological backbone and major innovation driver for Bayer AG of Leverkusen, Germany.
The patents acquired provide broad intellectual property protection for advances Quantum Materials has achieved in economical high-volume quantum dot (QD) manufacturing. In addition, the Bayer patents cover volume production technology for heavy metal-free (HMF) quantum dots and nano-particles; increasing quantum yields for HMF quantum dots; and hybrid organic quantum dot solar cell (QDSC) production as well as a surface modification process for increased efficiency of high performance solar cells and printed electronics. The patent families were acquired through a cash purchase agreement and financial details will remain private.
"We acquired these patents to not only expand our technology portfolio in heavy metal-free and QDSC production, but also to protect the advances we have made to date in the volume manufacturing of nanoparticles, including quantum dots," said Stephen Squires, Quantum Materials CEO and president. "Bayer is a research pioneer in the nanotech and QD fields and these early filings were awarded with broad claims. It will be very difficult for competitors to produce materials in volume similar to ours without breaching our patents."
"Bayer Technology Services has been successfully working in the field of nanotechnology for more than 30 years . We are very happy that Quantum Materials is also using our patents to invest into new markets Bayer is not focusing on," adds Dr. Guenter Bachlechner, Head of Technology Development and Senior Vice President of Bayer Technology Services GmbH.
The quantum dot-related patents extend Quantum Materials' ability to synthesize numerous heavy metal-free organic periodic table groups in addition to its own inorganic Group II-VI composites. The company intends to incorporate each patent into its advanced production processes, including high yield InP/ZnS nanocrystals, a heavily researched QD in high demand in optoelectronics.
The solar-related patents describe the fundamental design of quantum dot solar cells and processes for optimizing quantum dots for solar and other printed electronics applications. The solar patents enhance Quantum Material's licensed patent on printing OLED and QD solar cells and other printed electronic devices by gravure or high-speed roll-to-roll.
David Doderer, Quantum Materials VP of Research and Development, added, "The heavy metal-free organic nanomaterials expand our high performance product offerings, and the automated processes will bring down their cost so manufacturers can begin planning adoption into real products at price points that expand market penetration of quantum dot technologies significantly. Combining the solar patents with our automated volume QD production process opens the door for us to establish joint ventures for Quantum Dot Solar Cell (QDSC) pilot plants worldwide."

With the price of Quantum Dots more than Gold and supplying quantities to the OEM’s or any client mass producing their product, the quantities could be pretty significant and that equates to large profits! Why? Go way back to Dr. Wongs tetrapod quantum dot formula he patented at Rice University. That patent (make sure you read the whole article) Revolutionary Tetrapod Quantum Dot Synthesis US Patent Granted significantly increases the profit margin that no other company can compete with. Add the mass production ability developed with Access2Flow and the competition is left in the dust. Still have to see what the bottom line numbers will be but they are definitely below the competition but high enough to be quite rewarding! Better World is correct also, they are looking to Joint venture too.
As far as comparing to Intel this is the next generation of semiconductors! We really don’t know what the future holds until it unfolds. QMC doesn’t have to manufacture the chip, that has already been perfected by others. The manufacturers have to incorporate the new more powerful properties into their design. That's what they do best. QMC just has to supply ample quantities to those manufacturers or license the technology to them. Cha ching!
Welcome aboard.

I put it in quotes for you twice, your words not mine! You don't know the people here or their history and to come on making accusations before a thorough investigation is not going to help you win friends and influence people. This isn't your normal money laundering penny stock as you will eventually realize. Please don't come out offensively when you don't know the whole game plan yet. Lots of good people here can aid your research but you happened to get off on the wrong footing and many will take offense to that.
GL with your research.
So explain to me what you will be or have contributed to the company to increase the value of shares? Not that management has done anything to date to be compensated for their time.
Still didn't answer the question why you invested before doing your DD. I'll remind you that you wrote "What did that person do that's beneficial to my investment to earn such a reward?"
The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned! Life's too short to cram in all it has to offer when you're on a slippery slope down. The bones and muscles just don't cooperate like they use to, but as long as I'm vertical I'm happy!
I don't know either but they are trying! http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/9/prweb8794822.htm
Quantum Dot Based Technology Alliance Targets Major Diseases
Quantum Dot Manufacturer and Biomedical Nanotech Company Technology Alliance Targets Alzheimer’s, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Major Depression
.
Quantum Materials Corp .
Quantum Materials Corp Logo
Tempe, Ariz. (PRWEB) September 21, 2011
Alzheimer’s, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Major Depression are the four theranostic clinical research targets of the new Quantum Materials Corporation (OTC: QTMM) and NanoAxis LLC Technology Alliance. The Alliance will develop new nanomedicine products for both diagnostic and pharmaceutical applications incorporating quantum dot technology. Quantum Materials Corp (QMC) tetrapod quantum dots (QD) and other QD semiconductor nanocrystals will serve as multiplexing platforms for NanoAxis’ theranostic therapies in targeting receptors, imaging cells and tissues, and drug delivery of pharmaceutical compounds.
Laboratory research using biocompatible stable shells and coatings on colloidal quantum dots has increased dramatically in recent years but the commercial adoption of quantum dots has lagged due to their high expense and difficulty to manufacture industrial quantity. Quantum Materials Corporation’s ability to synthesize a ready supply of customized quantum dots for different drug delivery mechanisms makes possible the ambitious concurrent pursuit of Alzheimer’s, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Major Depression therapies in the alliance with NanoAxis.
The Technology Alliance will also develop new quantum dot biological microarray assays (QD-MI) devices using quantum dot technology for real time measurement of various cancer biomarkers for research, clinical applications, and product development. Quantum Dots are among the smallest man-made molecules. Synthesis of certain tetrapod quantum dots show superior luminescence in comparison to spheroid QD and dye chromophores, and their high surface to volume ratio facilitates an excellent binding affinity for antibodies, peptides, nucleic acids and other ligands. These qualities are vital for accurately detecting or imaging small samples or low concentrations of cells for quantitative analysis.
Dr. Bob Glass, CTO of Quantum Materials said, “We are entering an exciting new age of nanotechnology utilizing our tetrapod quantum dots made from a variety of chemicals. When merged with pharmacology, the implications for new techniques of drug delivery and interactions push the imagination. We can expect rapid advances in this field through our Alliance, thanks to our innovative techniques in producing inexpensive quantum dots on a continuous basis, thus reducing the cost of experimentation and the development of new treatments.”
Quantum Material Corporation’s previously announced new microreactor continuous flow processing manufacturing technology will provide the capacity necessary to insure the research and development projects can meet their commercial large scale production objectives for assay kits and for medical sales at the end of clinical trials.

I'll try this again from the computer and not the phone. We just got back from up north visiting friends that lost their son to the same addiction, depression. What a waist of life it is. No one saw it coming. Now Robin Williams. I hope NanoAxis comes up with something during their research on depression to help these people through their tough times. Their solution doesn't help those around them or that enjoyed their company/entertainment.
Been driving all day. Stopped in the Big Apple to pick up a visa and we are now headed to Maine for part of the week. Stopping in New Hampshire for a couple days on the way back and yes I am enjoying my summer. Will miss the pool, it's heated to 90f, like bath water. I don't think the ocean is going to be quite that warm up here.
Another day closure!

No shirt for you!! lol I'll only say that if it wasn't for the VP of admin the company would not be where it is today. Everyone's contribution counts! The shares accumulated were earned, big time for all the sacrifices that have been made in hours put in, money and personal life along the way. They put their skin into the game, everyone else is a bystander.
It will only help with taxes if it's a Roth IRA. There is no federal tax on the appreciation after 5 years. It is well worth looking into the Roth IRA for the future. In the conventional IRA you will be taxed at the same rate you do for income when you start withdrawing. You may want to just keep some in your personal investment portfolio that's only taxed at 20% long term capital gains. Plan wisely, retirement may come earlier than you think.
Since I'm not there anymore, you can add for me " AND BILL SAYS SO TOO!!"
