Looking for help.
I want to get a home computer during the upcoming (holiday) sales. I would like advice on what to buy, based on my needs.
1. I do very little social media. I have facebook, check it every couple of months. Other than that, nothing.
2. I do like to check on my bank accounts online. I am on my stock trading account most days when the market is open, so security is a must.
3. I enjoy music and have free online streams going on in the background most of the time. Also love youtube for all the music posted there.
4. I surf the net a lot. I always have a lot of windows open, so I want something very fast but don't need a lot of memory, I download very little and don't save a lot of pictures, movies etc...
5. I do play the WGT golf game online every once in a while, so I need a decent video card.
I currently use windows 7. Not happy with it, never been happy with any windows product. Is apple worth the price to upgrade for what I use it for?
From reports I have seen, I don't think I want windows 10 because of all the built in spyware. Which operating system do I get?
Would I be better off trying to find someone local to build what I want or can I find something on the market that fits my needs?
TIA, dffhogs

KINS (9.64)
Kingstone Approved to Write Property and Casualty Insurance in New Jersey
Kingstone Companies, (MM) (NASDAQ:KINS)
Today : Monday 9 November 2015
Company Now Approved to Write in Five States
Company also Appoints Strategic Investment Management Services to Manage Fixed Income Portfolio
Kingstone Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq: KINS) (the “Company” or “Kingstone”), a multi-line property and casualty insurance holding company, today announced that its subsidiary, Kingstone Insurance Company, was granted approval to write property and casualty insurance in New Jersey from the state’s Department of Banking and Insurance.
The addition of New Jersey marks the fifth state where the Company is authorized as an admitted carrier of property and casualty insurance. In addition to New York and Pennsylvania, Kingstone also was licensed by Connecticut and Texas in the last three months. The Company has applications for admission pending in one additional state that shares similar catastrophe exposure and opportunities as New York.
The Company also announced that it has appointed Strategic Investment Management Services (SIMs), a division of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., to manage its fixed income portfolio (other than RMBS), effective November 1, 2015.
Kingstone’s Chairman and CEO, Barry Goldstein, stated, “We are pleased to add New Jersey as the fifth state in which Kingstone is licensed. It is our expectation that we can effectively leverage our reputation with our producers in New York and roll out an agency-only distribution model. We have recently added three states as part of our geographic expansion plans, and look forward to launching our new business efforts.”
Mr. Goldstein continued, “In addition, we also announced the appointment of SIMs to manage most of our fixed-income investments. We felt that given the growth in Kingstone and in our investment portfolio, that it was prudent to retain the services of a well-respected investment manager such as SIMs. We will maintain our conservative philosophy of capital preservation and income generation in our portfolio.”
They sold 1 house last quarter, why would you want to own it?
The Hog and Ladder was good also but I will stick with the Hunter Heave.
That was special...

I am new here and been reading all the posts here since SkeBallLarry (you can blame him/her if I get kicked off this thread) asked me to take a look at this thread.
It seems that there are maybe 3-8 regular posters that post on this thread, and 90% of the post are about cats, music and general hello's.
I will be upfront, I hate cats, don't have time for hello's but I love music...
The music here has me intrigued. I have seen classic country, old country, old country/blues, blues, 60's rock, 70's rock and a mix of all above.
My genre is the blues. I am open to new things but I always come back to the blues. Anytime I am on the computer, I have Bar Legend Radio playing http://www.barlegendradio.net/. Its out of Greece but the best blues I have found that plays for free 24/7.
If you find something better, please let me know.
