Ad1, New Movie Out. If you haven't seen Russell Crow's new movie, "A Good Year", get going and see it this weekend, its really good!!! It's about a MM who loves to manipulate the market for his own gain. Apparently, he was really good at it until he gets reconnected to his childhood. Over a 3 day weekend he remembers what's truely important in his life.
Plot Outline:
A British investment broker inherits his uncle's chateau and vineyard in Provence, where he spent much of his childhood. He discovers a new laid-back lifestyle as he tries to renovate the estate to be sold. (view trailer)

Hold on guys, I need to get my order filled first!
100M shares outstanding is relatively low, I like that!
Right On, Never sell at a loss!
Ad1, Nice work finding the SGCR website.
I posted it in the I-Box for future reference.
Looks like she's slowly head'en back up to the dollar mark.
Looks like ATEX has bottomed, just needs more volume to wake her up.
The chart's shaping up and looking good.
At these prices who can resist buying.
She's a sleeper alright, but believe she's headed back to the .50 range.
How long do you think she'll take to get there?
Yep, slow and steady!
Here's 3 Golden Crosses to Watch:
Ad1, If you find any more golden crosses, let's post em so we can track their progress. SGCR took off 3 weeks after the cross was formed.
Golden Cross:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/goldencross.asp
A crossover involving a security's short-term moving average (such as 15-day moving average) breaking above its long-term moving average (such as 50-day moving average) or resistance level.
As long-term indicators carry more weight, the Golden Cross indicates a bull market on the horizon and is reinforced by high trading volumes. Additionally, the long-term moving average becomes the new support level in the rising market.
Technicians might see this cross as a sign that the market has turned in favor of the stock.
IS THE DOW REALLY AT ALL TIME HIGHS?
"The Dow's Phony New High". Here's Some Food For Thought.
There have been a lot of interesting articles found at http://www.bullnotbull.com entitled "The Dow's Phony New High." One particularly interesting article is:

OT but not really.
There is something that has been bothering me-The Dow-the DJIA-it seems to be going up conveniently just before the mid-term elections in the US; yet many of its 30 components have been falling in price. Since our Unico stock price is so easily controlled, could it be that such a widely followed, at least by the general public on Network broadcasts, indicator of financial well-being, could it really be that it was being fiddled? Surely not! Next you will tell me that gas prices are being artificially kept down to benefit certain parties.
So I dug around and found the following: It was posted on geezerboomer.com (don't ask me how I got there, it just sort of happened as I was poking around the web.) For your enjoyment and renewed faith in the probity of our financial system.
Whoopie, a new 12,000 high for the Dow, and how nice for the Replicants. Could I rain on this parade? Oh, but of course.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) of 30 stocks is calculated by adding up the dollar closing prices of 30 “representative” stocks of our economy and then dividing by a divisor. I’ll slow down if I’m going too fast for some of you…
The DJIA Index is denoted in “points” not dollars. And the divisor has gotten adjusted over the years as stocks in the Index are subtracted and others are added, or stocks that are there split their shares. (Known in the biz as giving you two $5’s for a $10) You want an Index as popular as the Dow to have a certain consistency - that it will open somewhere near where it closed the night before.
Anyway, the current Dow Industrial Index divisor is currently 0.12493117. (And you thought you were nit-picky.) That means you can take a 30 stock Raw Score of about 1499 and divide that by the teeny divisor. Or take the raw score and mulitply by 8. Yeah, 1500 times 8…carry the 4…comes out to about 12k. (Nightly Business Report says, $1 of stock value is more than 7 points in the DJIA. Can you smell the “Never give a customer an even break” aroma?)
Well, since most, I mean more than HALF, of the Dow 30 stocks actually trading lower than they were back in March of 2000, I decided to do some research. Nobody was really explaining HOW parts of index could mostly be lower, and yet the Index itself was hitting new highs. And isn’t that nice for the Replicrooks.
In one of my old adult ed workbooks, I’d written down that as of June 5, 2000, the Dow’s divisor was 0.18238596. That means that the Dow’s March 2000 high of 11722 had a Raw Score of approximately 2137. I’ll skip the decimals and the slight mismatch on dates here. I want you to know though, that my Hewlett Packard 12C calculator did these calcs with batteries to spare. At the Dow’s high back in the spring of 2000, $1 of stock value equated to only about 5 and a half points on the Index.
Presto Reducto, our new high on the Dow has been caused by reducing the divisor…and the public snoozes on.
(And don’t even get me started on the drop in the purchasing power of the money invested in the Dow stocks - caused by the 30% dunk of the dollar in the last 6 years…)
On Planet Wall Street, figures may not lie, but we should bet much more often that liars can still figure, especially in an election year. Over 43% of the population DO figure that somehow the Bush Administration lowered the price of gasoline in the last 2 months. Why won’t the public consider the possibility that other scams are at work in our other markets?

Ad1, IRS UPDATE-REVISED:
2007 NOTES:
Journal Entry Update-This is a guideline taken from my Journal Notes. I update them from year to year to keep track of changes to the IRS Code. I gather information for my CPA to give him a heads up, since few people trade in the natural resource sector like we do. It payed off from last year because he sent me this update to the IRS Code for 2006. I make it a rule to go over this every tax season. Are there any changes for 2006? YES!
2-15-07 UPDATE:
(Do your own DD, Everyone’s tax bracket and individual situation is unique to themselves. Ask questions to your CPA, that way you know how this new info effects your individual circumstances. My moto is check, check, double check. That way you can sleep with peace of mind.)
CAPITAL GAINS & DIVIDEND RATES:
CPA confirmed: Lower capital gain and dividend tax rates had been scheduled to expire after 2008. They are now extended through the end of 2010. Capital gains and dividend income are taxed at a maximum rate of 15 % through 2010. For taxpayers in the 10% & 15% tax brackets, the tax rate is 5% through 2007 and zero from 2008 through 2010.
This information confirms the following article Tax Traps Can Snare Your Capital Gains published in U.S. News & World Report Posted Sunday, July 16, 2006

2006 NOTES-PAYING IRS TAXES:
ETF’s - Don’t buy unless you plan on keeping more than one year.
Short Term Capital Gains Tax (less than a year) Now=35% Later=23%
Long Term Capital Gains Tax (over a year) Now=28% Later=23%
As noted, the difference in taxation between these two investment vehicles is rather large, especially in all transactions under a year in duration.
REMEMBER, by holding my core positions I put myself in a position to minimize my taxes and pay long-term capital gains when I do decide to take profits down the road.

AT TAX SEASON VERIFY TAX RATES!!! (Old News)
Silver Institute
(202) 835-0185
Congress and Senate are scheduled to vote on lowering gold & silver tax rates. Plan to change from being a collectable to a precious metals stock. Bill #HR-574 S-611. Should be a new tax rate for 2006?
Reminder Note: Determine what the new precious metal stock tax rate will be for 2006. Sounds like there's a change coming. “For those of you concerned that the unequal tax treatment of your gold holdings, and judging by my email there are a lot of you, J. Kent Willis has reported that "Joint legislation from Nevada Senators Reid and Ensign aka 'Fair Treatment for Precious Metals Act' passed the US Senate in 2004 with a vote of 92-5. The House has not approved it yet, but will soon." The bill will treat gold bullion investments as it does other equities, with short and long term tax rates of 20% and15%, instead of continuing to treat gold as a collectible, and thus taxable at the 28% rate”.
Looking Good!
WHAT'S A 710?
Yesterday, I was having some work done on my car at the dealership. A blonde came in and I overheard her asking the service manager for a seven-hundred-ten.
He was confused so he called over a mechanic and asked him, "What's a seven-hundred-ten?" Neither knew, so they asked her to give them a few more details.
She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine. I lost it and need a new one. It's always been there and I want it replaced."
The mechanic gave the blonde lady a piece of paper and a pen, then asked her to draw what the piece looked like.
She drew a circle and in the middle of the circle it had the numbers 710. Still not sure, they took her over to another car which had the hood up and asked her again, "Is there a 710 on this car" ?
She pointed and said, "Of course, it's right there."

LOCK BUMPING:
Watch this video clip from Channel 5 News. It discusses lock & key bumping which I'd never heard of until today. This is no joke. With a bump key you can open 90% of the key locks made in less than 10 seconds & a young kid can be taught to "bump" a lock in less than one minute.
The locksmith in the clip is right, you can't put a price on your family's personal safety! When you see it, you won't believe it. Apparently this method of breaking into houses has been around for several years & insurance companies may not pay off if your house is burgled because there's no evidence of a break in. There's no lock damage & your doors & windows are still locked.
This is a 3 minute video which explains the process. Watch in disbelief:
MACD, Aroon8, FastSto, CCI8, Wm%R14 & PPO are all bottoming out.
With a little help from some new buyer's
Should show signs of reversing soon

I just love this chart, so much to watch!
Level II is the best indicator of who is selling and who is buying. Look at the last trade, it gives the time and the size of each trade. Just don't get caught in the emotion of the trade. The market makers thrive on the emotions of the inexperienced trader to make a mistake by buying again during a rally. Then your stuck with a high cost basis and may need to average down at a later date, if the stock drops drastically. We've all done it, just be aware, it's another human behavioral issue to learn about yourself. We all have to monitor this because its human behavior. There are entire books relating to "How to Remove the Emotions from Trading". Bill Panetta is really good with his bottom busters reports to help traders determine which stocks are about to rebound. There is a lot of good information on Panetta's message board. Other traders have done spin offs from his board to help explain and expand his base of learning. I like Panetta because he's a charting guy and so am I.
THE BASICS of PORTFOLIO BUILDING:
After completing your due diligence on a company you’ve just bought. Your jazzed and ready to watch your stock take off. You should know that some will rise, some will fall and some will become duds. None of them will hold the same equilibrium. In fact they will all be different. They will each have a different personality just like your kids. The best way to learn their personality is to study the charts. Charts give the best insight about your stocks personality. Watch and wait. Patience, Patience, Patience. That may be your best and most valuable lesson.
Some stocks you may hold for over a year before they do anything. Others will bounce and rally immediately. Think about when you are going to sell early on, while doing your due diligence, ask yourself, how long do I want to keep this stock? You might even consider not buying the stock until you know how long you want to be invested? Don’t expect all your stocks to go up and down at the same time. If there is a market correction, the stocks may remain down for a year to 18 months. The market does what the market does. If you have beginners luck, don’t get a big head thinking your God’s gift at picking stocks. Keep a level head and do not invest more money than you can afford to lose. Watch out and don't get overextended. If you can’t sleep at night, then most likely you’ve bitten off more than you can chew. Then, what are you going to do to reduce your risk. Maybe you have to sell? Some people sell at a loss and think nothing of it. Other’s say never sell at a loss, no matter what. It’s your decision.
Figure out your tax bracket and decide whether you need to hold for short or long-term capital gains. That's another way to decide when to sell. If a stock goes up right after you buy it, are you going to sell it? or Are you going to keep it? You have to decide, can I do better by waiting or should I sell and take the profit now?
Make a plan and don’t miss a trade just because you didn’t know what to do. Do enough DD to know what your options are. Draft several scenarios so you feel confident with your decisions. It's difficult to decide on the day of the trade. Why, because the brain may experience sensory overload. Having to make a decision that involves money really turns the pressure valve up. I certainly don't want to make a bad decision and lose money. Many people experience nervousness like they have never experienced before. Some hit a wall just like a marathon runner who “hits the wall” at 25 miles into the race with only one mile to the finish line. For some when they hit the wall, they will never see the finish line, at least not that day.
If you want to know more about why this happens, there is a book you can read to understand why we have what I call brain freeze. Read, Change your Brain Change Your Life by Dr. Amen. Here’s the expert’s viewpoint:
Change Your Brain, Change Your Life: The Breakthrough Program for Conquering Anxiety, Depression, Obsessiveness, Anger, and Impulsiveness.
Basically, from a layman’s viewpoint, there is a natural chemical reaction that when released in the body over stimulates the brain. In highly stressful situations, there is a fight or flight sensation that occurs. The body and the brain have trouble going in the same direction at the same time. In simple terms the body and mind overloads the memory and judgements centers of the brain. Call it a log jam, brain freeze or sensory overload. At that moment one becomes physically and mentally impaired. Some people experience this when they take exams. Dr. Amen has all the technical jargon to explain what occurs.
What’s this got to do with stock trading? I'm just giving you a heads up since I've talked some other traders who have already had this experience. If you get involved in a fast trade, watch yourself and see how well you perform under pressure. You may handle the situation just fine. It's something good to know about because our human behavior acts differently when there is money at stake.
Thanks HD, still on the move, not finished yet. Would like to chat more but can't right now. Will have more time next week. Got a lot of catching up to do. Its good to see everyone showing up on the new board.

Hey GB, Slow down on your postings!
I'm finishing my move today and tomorrow.
If you keep posting like the Madmax, I won't ever be able to catch up on my reading.
Not much spare time right now.
As it is, I've got plenty to keep me busy.
I always enjoy reading your and NYBobs articles.
I always wonder where you find this stuff?

Quit being a show off!
Very nice work for starters. If you wanna read more about breccia's, go to the Ucoi message board. Type breccia pipes in the search box. There's quite a few articles posted on the subject. The thing we're all jazzed about is the high gold content found inside the tubes. Its a highly concentrated vein of gold found within this zone. I believe, its located not on the Deer Trail Site but at the Bromide Mine. If I'm wrong someone will correct me. Some of the tubes are 20' in diameter. Very interesting subject and Ray Brown's the expert on the topic. The old timers quit mining it because they hit water at the bottom of the shaft. So they abandoned the well. One of the planned projects is to dewater the well and continue excavation.
GB, I wanna hear that money, money, money song again!
NYBob, Your a wealth of knowledge. It astounds me what you come up with.
I'm sure glad we became friends!
It never hurts being around people smarter than me.
Somethings bound to rub off.
Rip Van Winkle-1896
Rip looks like an old miner to me!
What's that on the ground, a pick and a shovel in his left hand?
If we could get him to talk, I bet he'd have something to say on the subject.
New Movie Out. If you haven't seen Russell Crow's new movie, "A Good Year" get going, its really good!!! It's about a MM who loves to manipulate the market for his own gain. Apparently, he was really good at it until he gets reconnected to his childhood and then becomes a good guy once again.

NYBob, I just love those open pit photos from the Kennecott Mine. From what Ray Brown said, Kinnecott is on its last legs. But what does that mean, does Kinnecott have only another decade left of resources since it opened in 1903? If so, then one of these could become the next Kennecott. Could it be the Deer Trail, Bromide or Silver Bell? Silver bell is located in the same neighborhood, very close to Salt Lake City. Don't you just love speculation...It all depends on Unico's ability to get this baby going.
Right Now, I'd settle for the DT Mill being up and running.

CONGRATULATIONS! You should be proud, you made a good purchase.
Now, all the old timers, like me, are going to be bitching because you bought in so cheap.
I don't know about them but I'll welcome you aboard anyway!
Now you've got to go buy a pick and shovel.
Depending on how many shares you bought, you may need a wheelbarrow to cart off your cash.
Welcome to Unico Mining.

Hello again, Thanks NYBob for setting up this basher free site. What a great idea...I had no idea this was possible. I want one of these sites for myself. Thanks to Goldenbollox I will be the proud owner of one in the near future.
I apologize for abandoning UCOI for the last 2 weeks but have had my hands full with monitoring two other boards. SGCR & WTER are both in sideways channels after a good little run. They're resting at the moment and so am I.
Piranhas2, I'm going through what you went through in December. The only thing good about boxing & moving is organizing everything and discarding stuff like the bowling balls and scuba gear. Its just too bulky and heavy to move.
I'd like to introduce Ad1 to this new board, if its OK with you guys?. He is my partner in crime at the SGCR board. We are like The Lone Ranger & Tanto. We're the only one's there holding down the fort. So, I invited him over for a visit. He's been talking about investing in Unico over the last week. I told him there's no better time than now. I'm still looking to make my one last purchase to average down.
Ad1, has to upgrade to the Premium Membership before he can join us. So if there's any objections, please let me know.
Thanks,
Hilander
Ad1, Have you checked the message boards for any of these stocks?
Check these boards out and let me know what you think?
Go to: ATEX, UCOI, FLWE & HOGC Boards & do a little dd of your own:

ATEX & UCOI are my favorites and believe both have made the bounce and are on the way back up. Look at them & tell me what you think.
IMO, Both FLWE & HOGC are excellent buys right now.
I have never heard of:
• DYTB
• DJRT
• ACMB
You'll have to give me the skinny on those, don't have a clue.

PS: You know I attended UT. Moved there with 2 other friends. Couldn't wait, we moved there 2 weeks after graduation right out of high school. We were ready to get out of Dodge and attend the BIG University. 52,000 students in those days. Boy, lots of water has run under the bridge since those days.
Longhorn, way to go!!!
I quit reading the other UCOI board about 2 weeks ago. The girls got to be too much to handle. Couldn't take it any more.
But don't mind saying, I really enjoyed Ray Brown's 3 minute audio interview. Now, if we can just get him on video, that would be a hoot. Thing's are really looking up with Unico.

Bigbet3 & Fasttrain1971, Welcome to the board. I assume you read the I-Box before joining this board? If not, please do so now. It's also customary when one joins a new board to start reading from post #1, so you are fully informed. TIA.
The above message goes for all newbies who decide to join this board!
To answer your question, read several months ago that SGCR was exploring for uranium. Don't have time to go back into the archives to verify if this is fact or fiction. If anyone has the time to verify this, please do so and post the information for all to read. I'm posted out after the weekend.
Cheers!
Ad1, Now, you've been tagged.

JOURNALING:
NOTES FROM MY JOURNAL:
VERBAL CONTRACT:
One professor + one semester + one daily journal = passing grade.
That was the deal. Every student who kept a daily journal for one entire semester received a passing grade. If we didn’t then we failed.
Pretty tough stuff for a small framed 5’- 1” tall technical writing teacher. I can still see her in my minds eye giving us her opinion on how important she felt journaling was.
She laid it out very simple, it was non-negotiable as she stated, “I’ll make it as simple to understand as I possible can. You keep a journal for the entire semester and I’ll give you a passing grade. If you don’t like the deal, then I suggest you go drop the class right now.” Only one student got up and walked out of the classroom. The rest of us took the deal. We had to submit our diaries every Monday morning so they could be checked. I passed the class and since then I've used journaling at various points in my life. Now that I trade stocks, I use it all the time. It’s the best way I know of to help organize my work.
Another professor in government class set aside a few days to talk about the Crash Of 1929 and the Stock market in general. I stayed after class to talk to the professor and learned, he did stock trading on the side as a hobby. Even though I found it extremely interesting at the time I did nothing with it until a decade ago.
What’s my point here?
1. We can all learn a new trade.
2. In order to keep track of all the research, the dd and the cost basis of your stocks, your going to need an organized system. Using a journal is just one part of it. For me this is the best way to keep track of where I am and where I wanna go. If you don’t develop some sort of system to manage all this data, you’ll end up with a huge mess of papers and won’t be able to find anything. I keep lots of research in digital format. Other things, I keep in 3 ring binders. Don’t forget to title the binders edge for easy recognition.
I give you these pointers to start you thinking about what’s ahead. It also helps to have at least one other person to discuss your trading ideas with. Maybe your son, daughter, wife (maybe), friend or associate. Some people join an investment group in their community.
Observation:
When I was building my portfolio, I was focused on buying, not even thinking about selling. I missed several trades because I simply didn’t know what to do. Hopefully, this will give you a better heads up that what I had. Buying is one thing, selling is a completely different animal and it comes in many different forms and colors. Meaning, it can be very confusing until you develop a system on paper of how it should look and what to be watching for.
I have presented enough tools for you to draw your own best conclusions. The information presented here is my best shot at presenting an overall picture of what is involved with learning this business. This is more than enough information to get you started. If I never post another update from this day forward, you have all the pieces of the puzzle to become a successful trader. Now, all you need is to put the puzzle together, get the grace of God and your off to the races.
The only thing better would be one on one tutoring. I give you this information because I wish I’d had someone show me how to get started. This is my gift to you and hopefully you will do the same for someone else someday after you learn the ropes.
Happy Trading,
Hilander
