rescheduled "only CBD approved by the FDA." So CVSI step to self-certify under FDA rules and do the research on their product was a really good move.
My FB search came up with one with 80k and another with 141k. Many smaller ones too. It will be good to watch those numbers grow. I just joined.
CVSI Sales team cranking to close the last few contracts for the quarter through the weekend... I am excited to see where they came out. Bring on Oct and bring some excitement/mojo back. CVSI longs deserve good news about the fundamental business after battling through Aug 20 to now...
that was short lived tlr* bounce this AM. Hope people who bought in at 250+ got out at 230... the end of the day and week there should be interesting...
I count up 4 days and down 7 days in last 11; last 16 since low of Aug 29 we are up 8 and down 8 with higher highs and higher lows, lower volume. It just feels like the waiting game for catalysts and news for now since it is not well known.
thanks Mark - agreed, I don't understand it too well! RSI over what time frame?
Very interesting - thanks.
IR told me that if declined NASDAQ gives company 3 days to announce before they do.
Thanks Jefra - no US hemp only companies on NASDAQ confirms part of my thesis that NASDAQ is waiting on Farm Bill. (I hope Dowling's trip to NYC is in relation to that next week.)
I feel pretty good about Sept passage too since Rep Conway Chair of House Ag and McConnell in Senate, along with Pres are pushing for this for next week. they need the 'win' a month before midterms.
KYhemp - wiped out your gain only if you planned to sell today. (Which you didn't.) Nothing changed with CVSI, Farm Bill today. Another way to look at it-the time got closer to the FarmBill. Just shorts took advantage of an opportunity of yesterday's pop, loose OTC markets we are on, and Tilray bubble burst. For us non-traders, this last month of volatility is fear inducing. better to not watch too closely. (easier said than done - I know)
No pure play hemp on NASDAQ, right? I asked this before, but others seem to know the broader MJ / Hemp / CBD market than I do. But is there any case of a NASDAQ hemp only company?
Uplist slowplay I take as good news. Rejection (based on the historic problem that some posters have mentioned) were known from day 1 and would have been addressed early, or killed it in 4 weeks. But hemp is not legal on federal level yet. I believe its sequenced with the farm bill first to give NASDAQ cover. I don't *think* there is any pure play hemp companies listed on Nasdaq right? All the rest have MJ medical cover (which is legal) and MJ derived CBD?
agreed!
til**y stock float is 17 million shares. Lots of demand, small supply. With our float 5x larger for CVSI and our revenue better, and our legal position stronger (with farm bill soon I hope), I would be thrilled with til**y SP/4 or $40 to $50 range... But we need Nasdaq for that.
This will be an amazing story to watch play out - that (near term) bubble is really big...
Thanks Mono
Yes - same boat re invest- and CWEB is my #2 as well.
Dropline: I asked the CEO about scaling production last Friday and he was quite confident about their plans/ability to do so quickly. Mentioned a few immediate steps they could take that seemed to imply going up many multiples of their current levels without a lot of capital investment. I posted about my brief chat on Sunday. Not worried, I trust management.
volume way up - nice...
Vandy - understood re having to CVSI to be strategic re avoiding commoditization. You assume they haven't thought of this? Would be one of the first questions they would ask. Also, what value do you put on branding and that they are leading the category in a rapidly growing market?
Its certainly not the 'only' reason to visit NY :) Of course I was hoping that in back of my mind as well, but he certainly did not say that.
(And if you have never been to NY, make sure to go to the Adirondack Mountains and Finger Lakes Region.)
Yeah - POTN Fan - I get a good feeling there is no desperation in their approach, they are focused on the long game. Lets see where we are Oct 1 and again Nov 15 after earnings.
AP- he seemed like he had thought through the next steps many times in the easy quick way he answered.
The below is just speculation: I'm curious of the value of one pallet - about 400+ boxes that could fit on it or so it seems on quick look 8x8x8 maybe? (I didn't count closely) Each box could have 12-24 bottles in it. Avg retail price per bottle - maybe $25-30? So wholesale maybe $18-20? So lets say 20x24x400= $192,000. With the volume they had wrapped and were moving that day, I saw quite a bit of revenue rolling out the door. Pretty awesome concentration of value, low overhead.
My visit to CV Sciences on Friday afternoon was very encouraging. Visiting SD for work, I popped over unannounced and met Joseph Dowling. I introduced myself and told him I was an individual investor and very pleased with the track they were on. He asked me if I wanted a quick tour and I accepted. Beautiful facility that they are expanding it to increase marketing and sales teams. He was very proud to show the processing area and the testing facility. He said, "We invested extra in QAQC because we want to have the highest standards in all CBD industry. In fact we would like to be known as the best quality of any producer including the biggest brands in the world, better than PG level." Clearly he was proud about this aspect. The warehouse was humming - the space was full and pallets stacked high and many wrapped were heading out the back. This is the wholesale distribution area - the web and individual sales are in another facility down the road. I asked what they would do if they wanted to expand production, distribution- he said they have that planned - second and third shift in same room, and if they need to scale up, move it to the warehouse space in back and the product would move to a larger warehouse / distribution point. He said a number of times how thrilled CVSI is with its investors and the positive support we give. They seem aware of this. On the way out I told him good luck with the Farm Bill and uplisting. He told me that they are very close to the folks working on hemp and the bill and have some influence with them. I mentioned I was from NY and he said he will be visiting NY in two weeks. I thanked him and told him we were big supporters and wished him well. Very friendly, genuine guy. The whole office was buzzing (many sales staff out east for the expo), but the place has a great energetic feel as does Dowling. He seems like he is on a mission. Good luck to all.
I stopped by CV Sciences today - will post notes from my impromptu conversation with the CEO later. Short story- office and facility was amazing and Dowling couldn't be more genuine and down to earth. Confirmed for myself many of the good reports on this board from others who went to annual meeting etc. Is it possible to be even longer now? I am...
007- Etrade gets their news flow from these vendors: https://www.etrade.wallst.com/v1/common/disclaimers/vendor.asp
They post a reasonable number of CVSI; but I get your point - some stocks like (IQ) seem to be post an amazing amount of news with less significance than the new CVSI product release.
CNBC story coming on now re the "banning canadians in pot companies" BS that came out yesterday. CNBC should log on here or any other board and see that bs was posted months ago? I hope the segment talks about this.
Re SEC filings: if there is anyone on this board who is invested and is not signed up on CV Sciences IR website, you should do so right away. https://ir.cvsciences.com/ They send all of these to the list as soon as they are available. Quite useful.
THanks BV08- appreciate the updates
IHub board was off line this AM.
Agree - I'm excited to see something like that in early Oct. I would guess a company like CVSI has had these conversations T'd up since early 2018...
Mono: Uplist applied July 23. 6 weeks review is minimum (Sept 3) and it could be up to 120 days (Nov 19) according to my call with IR. I think Nasdaq is slow playing this legal gray zone until Farm Bill since we are a pure play hemp CBD, (not medical MJ who also has CBD). I think Mona situation MUST have been addressed upfront in app and very likely asked this question: "Is Mona an end to our application?" (and received a "no"); plus the addition of Dr. Maroon also a positive responsive step along the way.
FDA is also waiting on their approval of hemp GRAS until after Farm Bill (which is why CVSI invested in the research for self-affirmed GRAS. There are three other hemp GRAS apps pending in FDA database now - not sure if those companies - Canadian Co I think- also invested in the research for self-affirmed.)
So in sum, I see a) farm bill passing by Sept 27 (Thursday) resulting in a pop to Hemp stocks, inc CVSI (plus I think the week prior when it looks 'done' cvsi will rally); b) NASDAQ approval sometime in first two weeks of October with legal cover provided; c) Q3 $15-18m report later in October; followed by other catalysts described here over the past many months. My favorite will be dismissal of lawsuits.
And I could switch (b) and (c) and this would work nearly the same, or better. That's what I am holding my 40,000 shares on. I hope they are in double digits by mid-Oct after farm bill. Gives lost of 'room' for volatility for b and c as well.
Thanks BV08 - much appreciated
Anyone attending the CVSI presentation tomorrow AM at the conference in MD? Someone please post a play by play! Seems like a good place for an announcement/PR over the next few days.

Nice news just now! GRAS https://ir.cvsciences.com/press-releases/detail/85/cv-sciences-inc-achieves-industrys-first-hemp-extract
And how does GRAS work? https://www.fda.gov/food/ingredientspackaginglabeling/gras/ucm083022.htm
Based on what Rancher?
Thanks Mono. With such low volume the general drift seems lower until a catalyst turns it.
