Yep, but with a worldwide downturn, i wonder how this is going to hold up..... we'll see.
Thank you lil bro
Hmm, where in TN. I am in that state.
Good Afternoon HOP!
BBC News America has been showing "the new" iraq that is emerging.
Hold fast IMO. All the indicators are of a country that will emerge debt-free and ready for business. Just give them a job and the consumer appitite they may have could just help a little on the world economic relief. They have money, and we all need to sell someone something soon.
LOL, you'd better plead now.
Wow, thank you Z, i'll be talking with my tax guy about this. I don't control my retirement funds because i'd rather blame someone else if it falls to crap LOL.
If i strike it incredibly rich in the mean time, then wahooooo to hell with the IRA.
Etrd, i bought and it sank. I've been waiting since. I bounced out. If i had held, i'd have gotten even but panic overtook me.
So far, sitting has been sound advice for me.
How have you been doing? I hope you folks have been weathering and profiting. I scoop the boards in the evenings.
time for widespread panic then? LOL
LOL, all of them. I've sat out the last 6 weeks or so. I made one small trade and lost 20%.
Just been sitting and watching, to volitile for me at the moment.
Yep, and i bought mine at 550 per million a few years ago..... but call me an idiot now. A re-val, and i'll laugh with those that called me an idiot all the way to the bank.
How we doing, i'm still suffering from post traumatic stock syndrome. LOL
they were far lower than the dollar they are now. You think they will recover another 50% perhaps?
LOL, you too! I've been Nice, please see to it that 1 million bucks is in my stocking this year.
Chart reading is helpful, but don't put your full trust in them. If Charts were foolproof there wouldn't be bodies of broken traders all over the street.
The issue with charts needs to be tied to some psycology. Charts can give you indicators. You should try to tie those indicators to what EVERYONE else sees in that chart. If they see buy then you are good but if they see sell you better hit the door fast.
yes, i'd like to buy it, but man i just don't know. Soon as you think a bottom must have formed, the markets as a whole just bleed like crazy.
OK Z, where now my friend. I call true panic selling coming soon... 6800 low?
I would be careful of any of the mining stuff right now.... lots of bad stuff going on.
I think we're going further down now as well, if for any reason left now....... pure panic.
Well, do we put on the seatbelts or throw them off and run through the aisles with sissors while tipping back the airplane bottles.
Thank you ukie. I suppose it may be moot point if the economy keeps declining as well. Folks here in memphis are losing jobs fast. This area NEVER loses jobs. We may not gain them, but we hardly ever lose them, so this is getting super bad now.
I was at blockbuster last weekend and i overheard the manager talking saying that the corporation was going to really expand it's capital expense on blue ray CDs big time.
Do any of you folks think that will really make a good push for them?
And now that i think of it, dang near every stock is a penny stock now by definition LOL.
I wanna play!!!!!! dammit, work and the internet blocking, grrrrrrrrr
Now you have ruined him
We did some leveraging too. Lots of things that under normal circumstances would be no issue. But, under the current climate everything is amplified 10 fold. To much inventory, home builders not getting it and still attempting to press forward....
Just a real bad mix. Real estate is supposed to be for investment and wealth generation, not a stock to be flipped on a moments notice so yes we should have seen something wicked this way coming.
Chris, i'm getting crushed because of that stuff..... real estate my grandfather said....... hell i'm gonna be his age before i see my values again.
Arnold, that's a question only you can answer because only you know what you hold and your profit/loss tolerance. I'm in cash (because i'm not sure the decline is stopping anytime soon), so i have no decision to make other than chance it or not.
I honestly can't tell you buy, sell, hold. If i told you anything and they did the opposite you'd think me an internet idiot, and if my advice worked then you'd chock me up to be an internet genious only to be proven an internet idiot when you followed my next advice and it failed.
We each here tell our sides of the stories and give our opinions and often tell when we jump in a stock, sometimes even giving our buy sell range. Each one of us has been an internet genious and idiot in our own rights.
The decision to buy/sell/hold is totally yours. Do not follow our advice because all we have are perceptions and the same news you do.
From what i'm reading, next week is going to be more pain. No buying for me.
you have an IBOX? lol
hello arnold! welcome aboard. P.S. This is where the smart people are (or so we tell ourselves) LOL.
ummmm, i love garlic. LOL
I dont' work for AYSI
well does it? LOL
I would be wary of REITS at the moment. We have a weakening economy that is threatening to come unwound. A whole lot of renters sounds like a dream come true to a REIT, until you take into account they are likely coming from floods of foreclosures mixed with the mainstream renters that are suffering from lack of work. Mix that together with what i see to be a forced depression on apartment pricing in order to turn money........ not a good mix for a REIT.
so, do we pump HOOK lol. Looks interesting though.
Actually, it's what i was warning of a while ago. The share price isn't being sold off due to the state of this company IMO. It's being sold off due to the rest of the steel sector and the market as a whole. The way i see it, it's being "adjusted" downward however i do think in the case of this company it's a miscarriage of economic justice. But we'll see.
Thank you fish, we just laid off 20% of the company. Not good. Everyone is slow. China has said they are going to do alot of internal building, the US is expected to follow suit.
2010 may be better. 09, looking rough, but maybe toward the end it'll stabilize. Till then, we're just in a house of pain and we need to hold on.
