As per Ryan Melsert giving his speech at Greentown Circularity challenge he said BASF has sourced BMW i3 batteries in order to provide ABML with the minimum 10 tons in order to fill their recycling hopper.

Once that recycle batch is done, they are sending the recycled material to BASF offices for testing of purity. The results are anticipated to be the beginning of more batches and a natural partnership between BASF and ABML.
