TPT......this can be answered under different aspects.
1. Concerning the client side, HP has NO reason to bundle Waves ETS in the near future, since ALL of their machines are now supported through the Protect Tools
2. If we look on the server side, HP has to rely on Wave since they have still no server software. If I remember correctly SKS mentioned that they already have done sales calls with HP.
3. And this is the most important point IMO. The Protect Tools DON`T run on NTRU TSS, so they are still restricted to the Infineon TSS which is only delivered with IFX TPMs and in one case is used with BRCM TPMs. BRCM delivers NTRU/ESC to all other OEMs on demand!
So for folks like me, who thought there could be a HP bundling in the near term, this means that this battle is lost for now.....

Just to clarify re: BRCM/HP
The Protect Tools DON´T run on a NTRU TSS. Similar to the TPM1.1b the Protect Tools use the IFX TSS on the BRCM chips.

HP new desktop model rp5700
Under specification you see HP sticks to the Broadcom TPM within the 5700 series.
TPM 1.2 Embedded Security Chip integrated with Broadcom NIC (TPM module disabled where use is restricted by law); HP ProtectTools Security Software Suite with BIOS Configuration (serial, parallel, USB enable/disable), Credential Manager, Smart Card Manager (sold separately);
Well in the drivers section you DON´T find ANYTHING about security drivers or software. At the DC models you can still find the Protect Tools Vista Upgrade.
We know that the Protect Tools don´t run on BRCM TPM machines!
So why has HP decided NOT to list SECURITY SOFTWARE drivers on the rp5700 drivers download page?

Secude/Seagate....paper is patient!
Remember the PR from Cebit2006:
http://www.secude.com/htm/386/de/News-Detail.htm?News=7652
Well, I visited with Gugi Secude at Cebit2007 and talked to one rep (tehre was only ONE of the 10 reps who knew about the stuff) about an hour. Not to say it was boring, but obviously Secude had NO solution at this time since they haven´t gotten a drive!LOL Secude is focused on SMARTCARDS and they don´t care about TPMs, this was the fact the rep tried to convince me, they had no preboot authentication, no FDE management and didn´t even think about centralized FDE management. They tried to show us then their software based encryption solution but we denied and finally got away...
What they have is a centralized management of smartcards. And this is the business of Secude, and they do well in this business!
And now my guess:
Secude has developed a preboot authentication for the FDEs in conjunction with their SmartCard technology, that would allow them to write about centralized management (smartcards). I´m sure they have no software similar to ERAS!
Nevertheless as I posted before, competition is a good thing and we will see more and more in the near future, but PLEASE can anybody tell me WHO has a bundling deal with Seagate?
Nobody else out there meets the Trusted Computing Specs with their solutions EXCEPT Wave and everybody who is convinced that TC is the next level of security in the future, should applaud ANY competition who tries to jump on the train with half solutions....

Think about other OEMs and a few large scales enterprises...

OT: Laptops: Gateway Introduces Colorful, HDTV-Friendly M-Series and T-Series Entertainment Laptops
07:59 12.07.2007
Perhaps Gateway is not the PC powerhouse it once was, but its two new laptop lines, the M-Series and T-Series, show that it still has some fight in it. Make no mistake, these machines are HD savvy. They have HDMI outputs, optional discrete ATI graphics, your choice of Blu-ray or HD DVD optical drives and wireless N connectivity. The 15.4" flagship M-Series, shown in the gallery below, features a 1920 x 1200 screen resolution for true 1080p display. (The similarly styled T-Series comes with a lower-resolution 14.1" screen, but is in most other ways identical.) The first of them is due to ship later this month in slate grey, pacific blue or crimson red, starting at prices as low as $899. Jump for the detailed press release.

"The Gateway M-Series and T-Series deliver what consumers want in their notebooks - exceptional style and the latest technology," said Todd Titera, senior manager, consumer products. "And although the elegant design of the notebooks conveys an exclusivity typically only available at a price premium, Gateway has designed these systems to meet the needs and budgets of a range of consumers. Anyone who wants to be the object of envy will choose the notebooks for their first-class design and leading-edge performance and capabilities, while those on a more limited budget will be surprised that they can get such a stylish notebook with popular features."
While the notebooks share many capabilities and features, they differ in size to meet the needs of a range of mobile customers. The notebooks each boast a sleek and slim form factor that is easy and comfortable to transport. The Gateway M-Series has a 15.4-inch widescreen display, ideal for customers who want enhanced viewing options, while the Gateway T-Series has a 14.1-inch widescreen display for those looking for a great blend of multimedia and optimized mobility.

The new notebooks come with multiple battery options for long battery life and mobility, letting customers use their notebooks to their potential. They each come standard with a six-cell battery. An extended 9-cell battery is also available.
Design-Optimized for Usability with Eye-Catching Style
The all-new industrial design of the Gateway M-Series and T-Series notebooks make them stand out in a crowd. The design features distinctive eye-catching graduated sphere Ridgeview™ design over Crimson Red™, Pacific Blue™ and Slate Grey™ enhanced by other treatments such as a unique aluminum keyboard surround surface, slimming metal profiling and deluxe trims. Plus, the unique high-quality finish protects the embedded graphic, providing a smooth, stylish notebook exterior.
In addition, every aspect of the Gateway M-Series and T-Series notebooks' elegant design maximizes customer enjoyment of the advanced features. For example, the optional integrated fingerprint reader located below the touchpad can be used for user authentication and data protection and can serve as a password bank for access to password-provided websites, folders, documents and applications. Plus, the widescreen design provides room for viewing multiple documents and applications while also making room for a full-sized keyboard.
To help protect the customer's data and investment, Gateway M-Series and T-Series notebooks are pre-installed with a 90-day trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite™ (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Spyware, Firewall and Parental Control)(1). The notebooks also include a proactive service tool called BigFix,® which is included at no charge(2). With the customer's permission, BigFix identifies and sends messages offering updates to enhance the performance or capabilities of the PC.
Configurations, Pricing and Availability
The first two models of the Gateway M-Series and T-Series notebook lines - the Gateway M-6816 and Gateway T-6815 will be available starting July 22 through leading national retailers that carry Gateway products. Priced starting at only $899.99, there will be several M-Series and T-Series notebook models available via retailers.
Gateway will make the Gateway M-Series and T-Series available for order in the coming weeks through the company's direct sales channels of 1-800-GATEWAY and www.gateway.com. The first two models, the M-150X and T-140X, will be priced starting at only $999.99. Like all PCs purchased direct from Gateway, the Gateway M-150X and T-140X can be customized with different processor choices, hard drive and memory capacities, optical drives and other features so customers get the features they want.
North America Based Telephone Technical Support
While many PC vendors go off-shore to save service costs, Gateway's telephone technical support for U.S. customers is 100-percent based in North America. Customers are assured their calls are handled by knowledgeable, experienced, well-trained and dedicated support agents close to home(3).
Warranty, Service and Support
The new PCs are supported by the company's standard limited warranty options(4). Additional service and support options are also available. Gateway's commitment to quality and reliability is evident in its award-winning line of PCs as well as in its exceptional service and support programs. The company's extensive online support center helps customers maximize their PC investment; it gives them easy access to customer support representatives and information on important issues such as warranties, technical issues and upgrading.

Ramsey...you´re welcome. The only pity is that OEMs using TPMs witout the bundled NTRU/ESC software will cause installing issues. If an OEM like ACER for example decides to use BRCM chips and doesn´t order the NTRU/ESC package and delivers with deactivated TPM, the customer has to...
1. Install the TPM drivers (except Vista OS)
2. Install the NTRu TSS
3. Install ESC/ETS
Should be no problem for an IT but I would like to see an integrated install package from Wave with ALL TPM drivers, the NTRU TSS and their own software.

Ramsey....sorry for the late response, just checked in again.
RE: other OEM and their TPM / Security Tools.
I can speak of Acer, ASUS, HP and Sony, since these are the OEMs, I have (had) machines in my hands.
First I have to say all OEMs except HP have their own branded security solutions from different ISVs, which function basically WITHOUT TPM support. All OEMs INCLUDING HP have their TPMs DEACTIVATED as default.
Acer:
Acers security solution is called "Acer eDataSecurity management" which acts WITHOUT TPM support as default. Similar to other OEMs some credentials can by bound to the TPM by installing the Infineon TPM Professional package. Acer doesn´t deliver CDs, so you have to FIND and download the TPM.zip on their FTP site, since the html based TPM driver section is broken.
Asus:
Asuss security solution is called "Asus Security protect manager" developed by Bioscrypt. The credentials are stored through software and IN encrypted files. If you find an Infineon TPM software driver and the option in the BIOS where you can activate your TPM, hats off!LOL The TPM software is NOT integrated in the branded security solution.
Sony:
Sony calls their security solution "Protector suite", based on software. Other than Asus they deliver the Infineon TPM drivers on a CD and make it available on their website. Once you have installed the TPM software you can bind some credentials to the TPM, but you have to do it by hand and you have to know MUCH of this space. The TPM software is NOT integrated in the branded security solution.
HP:
HP is the only other OEM which has a full integrated TPM management called "HP Embedded Security System" integrated in the HP Protect Tools. In combination with the HP Credential manager it acts as a robust TPM based security management system. Like all others HP has their TPMs DEACTIVATED, but on Infvineon based systems the Protect Tools are PREINSTALLED.
(IFX Systems: ALL notebooks and the DC 7700 sereis)
(BRCM systems: ALL workstations, DC7600, DC5700, DC5750 series)
All BRCM based Systems have a DEACTIVATED TPM and NO software installed!LOL I would say about 50% of the HP machines can NOT be supported with the Infineon TPM Package.
I´m working with the HP Europe 3rd tier support and Ingram Europe since 3 MONTHS to get (Be able to buy) my Protect Tools CD for the BRCM systems. Surprise, surprise haven´t heard ANYTHING from them since 1 month.
If I remember correctly I´ve provided some screenshots on Aleas board a few weeks ago.....
I hope I could answer in a way you all can see, that
1. THERE ARE DEFINITELY ONLY TWO (without Lenovo and Sinosun(only China)) TPM software providers
2. THERE is NOTHING at ANY OEMS about FDEs and FDE management
3. NOBODY has server sided and remote administration tools
4. NOBODY has key management (Except on the client)
5. NOBODY undertakes efforts in TNC
and I hope I haven´t made too many spelling and other mistakes in this post!LOL

Doma....GREAT find!!!!!
So 2M FDEs sold via Dell would bring us to BE with bundling fees alone. I guess that STX will ship most drives via Dell, since HP bundles the software solution from Safeboot and Lenovo has a minor market share.
Add ASI and more OEMs to come and bundling arrangements alone, WITHOUT any upgrades or server sided software like ERAS will propell us to 20 bucks a share in 2008, IMO.
Now add revenues through ERAS, KTM, ETSPro activations and think of the potential SP when these opportunities are recognized by the market.
Revenues of 70M would generate 1$ EPS with a BE of about 50.....

AWK...I hope you are right, but I´m awaiting the ETSL with ETDM/ESC, so I can´t be disappointed
BR

Doma....yes, ETDM is NOT integrated in the standard ETSL on the download section, since not every Precision or Latitude will be delivered with FDEs. I expect an additional download, WHEN FDE demand/sales is HUGE.
Anyway, I´m sure it´s ETSL since Dell states UPGRADE AVAILABLE!

Doma.....From the 8K last year we know, that Dell is allowed to distribute the ETDM. The ETDM is a PlugIn in the ESC. Dell bundles ETSL which includes ESC and therefore the ETDM ON DEMAND for the FDEs. When you read my post
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=20779618
you´ll see that there is the Upgrade mentioned.
"The Embassy Trust Suite is preinstalled on select Dell systems with an enterprise upgrade package available."
So if I had to guess, I would say ETSL with ETDM which brings 1.4 bucks for us.
