It's from their last conference call. Go to Energous website and you can find a transcript there. Always good to read.
I'll be writing Tom Barr very soon. Enough is enough.
Correction.
2.97
Anyone else notice Yahoo Finance has forward P/E of GNUS at 2.96?
That's insanely low. A 4x to 5x move on P/E is reasonable based on that metric alone.
Someone knows how to better forecast future revenue than we.
Good luck all longs.
DK
Keep perspective.
"I’m going to pause here for a moment and go off prepared remarks, and let me just say that we're aware of all the comments out there by the so-called 'experts' as they relate to the state of our technology and our FCC strategy for approval. Let me say that we understand the details, and the key to both our development cycles and our regulatory process is in the details.
NO ONE outside of the company understands these, has any idea what they are. And so, while we listen to these 'experts,' I want to make it very, very clear that our prioritization of the Mini WattUp transmitter is opportunistic, and absolutely does not signal any problem with either our power at a distance midsize or full-size transmitter reference design or their path to regulatory approval. Our midsize and full-size reference designs work, and are in various stages of commercialization. Energous, along with our key strategic partner (all clues point to Apple, Inc), has identified a path to regulatory approval FOR ALL OF OUR REFERENCE DESIGNS. Nothing has changed. As a young company we are focusing on the fastest path to revenue."
Good enough for me.
Good luck all longs

Tom needs to get off his conservative and low key English azz and get another deal lined up. The tech(s) are too good to let poor management execution ruin it for shareholders. We've been too patient for too long.
I hold management accountable for flubbing what should have been a slam dunk by all other indicators with Sysmex.
Tom Barr you need to step it up my friend.
We've had enough.
Rick. GBI has multiple deals at various and staggered stages in their revenue cycles. Don't think anyone has a clear picture of their revenue potential.
At all.
Even if all their products receive lukewarm reception the shear volume of IP they're releasing (and have been) is cause for a revenue wave in the near future. Just unclear how big a wave.
If anything hits big (and Andy thinks SpacePOP is their "big one" for a plethora of legit reasons) then the wave goes tidal.
Sony deal was a huge de-risk indicator IMHO. GBI would have never made cut if Sony thought something amiss discovered through their DD process.
"Needed huge sums of money" for what? They have $7M in bank with revenue spigot only first half turn on. Water in the pipe.
Patent. Licensing Show is a big deal conference GBI is attending in a few weeks. They have 100 meetings lined up for three day event (don't know how that's logistically possible but what was stated) Before then (first week June) SpacePOP launches and soon Andy makes two big merchandise distribution partner announcements that will "rock". All outlined in latest shareholder letter.
Are you getting them? Just curious.
Ok. So we know the Sony deal is $2M of the $4M deferred. So that's $2M of "other" deferred revenue? Is that your interpretation? And is this over a year period or quarter?
Thx in advance.
Rick. Thought revenue numbers looked light and was advised to looked at deferred revenue as better reflection of revenue to be recognized in future. 10-Q do not clearly see deferred revenue values. Do you?
Rick is preoccupied trying to get some cheap shares below $2
Amazon product is sold out. Included an Orange flavored Celsius.
Based on current replacement value of film and cash on hand that's SP of roughly $2.50 alone.
Factor in all various green shoots with Sony, TV channel, On demand, merchandise, new media content, etc, etc, etc would see no reason this less than $5-$7 in 24 to 36 months.
Unless they simply fall flat and content has no traction (acceptance). But if content were that bad would Sony had inked 10 yr deal?
Sony deal should be seen as huge de-risk for shareholders, and confidence booster in GBI quality and pipeline.
Further patience required as pieces fall into place. Q2 should show signs of revenue life but by Q4 have better picture of revenue future.
Great job CEO Heyward
Mr. Andy Heyward: "Well, the new ones that I was speaking about--Space Pop we have a deal with two very large retailers, and we’re not allowed to announce them yet, but they will be announced before long. One is going to be apparel; one is going to be accessories, and the names will rock everybody. We’re very excited to have them onboard."
Coming soon.
Good luck all longs
DK
The technicals are looking very good for those who do stock chart analysis.
CEO Heyward in the shareholder letter stated we should expect announcement(s) of significant news prior to Licensing show which is only a month away, June 21-23.
Setting up nicely.
Good luck all longs.
DK
Elliot. Nice price action. New highs on good volume. Looks like we go higher. RSI not oversold. Room to run.
Congrats!
DK
Alright Rick! We welcome you as a shareholder.
As a aside (and fortunately because at first glance I thought we weren't), I don't understand after reading the 10-Q how we're cashflow positive. In layman's terms could someone elaborate? I see more cash going out than coming in. But think I'm crossing cashflow positive with profitability.
Thanks in advance.
DK
Rick. Don't be embarrassed. You've provided great intel and news on GNUS. A huge THANK YOU! for all your work.
We're watching and reading.
Even if we're (for the most part) silent.
Keep up the good work!
DK
Rick. Was there supposed to be a link? Thx
Not a hater. Quite the opposite. Just thought it strange to see down 8% on very positive news. Need new buyers to come in. Word will get out in time.
PRHL now down 8%. Hmmm
"Mission Accomplished" -- Premier Holding Corporation Completes Acquisition of Power Supplier Expanding Its Deregulated Power Enterprises
Thanks Elliot. Looks like we had upward movement today. So far your prediction is holding true.
Elliot. Thank you for your response. I'll continue to monitor the company and hope it performs as you anticipate. I use the word "hope" sincerely.
Please keep the intel coming.
Good luck all longs.
DK
Elliot. What do you expect will trigger "stock appreciation" in the next "week or two"?
Unfortunately Elliot, hope is not an investment strategy.
But we will see if your prediction comes true.
Did y'all hear Warren give props to Andy for the Secret Millionaires Club cartoon series? It was about an hour into the meeting in response to a shareholder question about our kids and their perception of investing.
If that wasn't a HUGE worldwide endorsement for a Genius Brands product then I don't know what could have been better.
Viewers streaming the meeting today must number in the millions.
Warren's life and investment wisdom is simply captivating. IMHO.
Very good to hear today.
Good luck all longs
DK
I don't see it that he "has" to respond to shareholder email but rather wants to. Are you on the email list for shareholder newsletters? Good stuff.
andy@gnusbrands.com
He's been super responsive and kind.
"For the first time in the company’s history, Berkshire Hathaway will live stream its annual shareholder meeting for all the world to see."
Very interesting.
Patent. Just email Andy directly. He's responded to every email I've ever written him. He's quite responsive.
One of the things I like about him is his willingness to communicate with shareholders.
Good luck
DK
Fair enough. Understand.
Would like to welcome you to the GNUS believers some day.
Rick. You in the game yet? C'mon dip a toe.
DK
Elliot. I'd gladly enjoy that Kool-Aid with you.
Keep the good intel coming!
Elliot. I'd like to drink your Kool-Aid, but PPS has been in a long, long downtrend. This has been no higher than $.10-$.11 in the past two years! Breaking $.14? Huh?
We need real, solid news for SP to do that.
If we get that, then I'll take a sip of that sweet, red, delicious drink.
DK
After another lackluster AAPL quarter it's a perfect time for them to commit to wireless charging at a distance and simply buy Energous.
Why not?
Everyone has a price.

Guess I thought GNUS reach into Asia was new news but found this article from 2014. Perhaps the amount of content is the real news?
"Genius sells Secret globally"
Genius Brands International has penned new broadcast deals for animated series Secret Millionaires Club with a collection of global TV networks.
By Daniela FisherOctober 6, 2014
Genius Brands International is bringing Secret Millionaires Club into more homes around the world through a trio of new broadcast deals that have just been inked.
MTV3 (Finland), Workpoint (Thailand) and Mediacorp (Singapore) have all picked up the 26 x half-hour animated series, and South Korea’s Asiana Licensing has also come on-board for home entertainment.
Secret Millionaires Club currently airs in the US on Discovery/Hasbro’s The Hub Network, which will be rebranded as Discovery Family Channel next week.
In addition to the TV series, the Secret Millionaires Club brand features 26 webisodes, a series of DVDs, interactive play kits, a book entitled Secret Millionaires Club: Warren Buffett’s 26 Secrets to Success in the Business of Life and an online store.
Yes. Yes. And yes.
Good luck all longs.
Thanks Andy

2011 is five years ago. What they have isn't working.
I work in the graphic design world and whole heartedly agree with sunman. The Celsius packaging is simply terrible. Who cares if it was "recently redone"? Don't mean it was done right or well. It would serve them better to reconsider their branding.
If they want to take their product to the next level. A rebrand would only help.
I am a shareholder. Long.
