I sold 98,765 shares at $43.210 - not trying to brag but that order used every 10 based numeral only once, in descending order
dont let them phase you hommie, we all know your charts are chartastik!
Last two days were pretty decent, up some and then down, got to work on my patience, but came away with 10 additional shares of WEED, accumulation is best done for a profit......
meanwhile...The team is breeding, cloning, vegging, flowering, processing, extracting, packaging, fulfilling orders, filling the vaults, and building out production facilities around the world.
Here's to future growth!
I don't give any advice or anything like that, but I don't own any Aphria and I wouldn't buy it and there are major red flags so I don't even want to know....
this just interests me because I am invested in competition, I believe that management is everything, ability to obtain favorable financing terms is really important in this industry as it builds up....
it looks to me as if Aphria management made an unforced error, but it gets complicated because they and their associates might have made substantial financial gains at the expense of the general shareholder....so from their perspective it may have been the perfect move....anyways I am more interested in how it shapes the competitive landscape going forward.
you can only fully exploit someone when they have full confidence in you. In an operation like this 'trust' is the product that is developed and sold - and here it is obvious the insiders have benefited by developing this trust and exploiting it inversely proportional to the financial opportunity cost of those that bought this 'trust'
not much value was created or destroyed, it just changed hands, you can never fully 'get away' with something like this, something was obviously lost in the end, once spent, 'trust' can be hard to reproduce
I am not sad about the weak hands, the ones that sold out immediately after reading about this scenario are now in a better position then those that did nothing - I don't call that weak at all, they can pick up free shares if they want, or invest in better management.....
Aphria is currently losing some market value, and what is more important is I believe this will restrict and reduce prices for further investment into this corporation....at the onset of one of the greatest international business opportunities of the century...this team is lining their pockets on the short term leaving their competition free to do some real business
It seems to me that the last bought deal price is a ceiling at this point, there always seems to be resistance anytime it gets near $34 a share, might be a decent price to try to trade around
I am really selective about outgoing emails, and I am not that concerned, just interested is all. Maybe Nuuvera is a good deal,
I want to see what the week brings, and if any more information is brought out.
I will keep an eye on the situation....
before Aphria paid Nuuvera $2 million and there was a deal for Nuuvera to buy cannabis from Aphria to sell. Vic says this deal is good, because now Aphria can sell the weed it was going to sell to Nuuvera....
If this is a good deal, can it be repeated? Can they cook up another one with ten a penny insider shares and a few press releases? Sell a dozen or so tons of cannabis and then buy it back for the international deals
international deals!
The big question I am sure we are all asking ourselves here is -- how does Vic get money from this deal, you know he does or wtf? So how many ten a penny shares did he get his hands on 14 short months ago....
that has got to hurt shareholders....I mean I know the money is good, price has gone up...but how much better would it be if management was busy building real value instead of screwing over shareholders and shady insiders with bunk deals. Lawyers got paid, meetings were held, time was spent, money was spent on this deal....Vic can't take your calls right now, he is in a meeting with the Nuuvera people....
like the $50 million in cash, I bet $50 million would go a long way towards increased production capacity.....bigger facilities, breeding rooms, laboratories, extraction equipment.....Nuuvera shareholders get paid first
the more news I read about this deal, the funnier it is...
http://business.financialpost.com/business/aphria-closes-425-million-nuuvera-deal-as-international-strategy-takes-shape
Shareholders of Toronto-based Nuuvera, will receive $0.62 cash and 0.35 of an Aphria share for each Nuuvera share they hold. That equates to around $50 million in cash and $375 million in Aphria stock (as of Friday’s closing price).
Unlike Broken Coast Cannabis Inc., an established medical cannabis company that Aphria acquired in February for around $217-million, Nuuvera has no experience producing cannabis and has posted virtually no revenue.
To a degree, Aphria is also buying back its own product in the deal. In August 2017, it agreed to supply Nuuvera with 17,000 kilograms of cannabis annually, as part of a complicated deal that saw Aphria invest $2 million in Nuuvera and agree to sell the company land in Leamington, Ont. It also agreed to help build and run Nuuvera’s greenhouses in return for a payment of $0.10 per gram sold from the facility.
there really needs to be more information about the deal and the insiders involved. At least some shareholders want to know what is going on, if people that own portions of this corporation want to know the extent of the insider deal making going on then I think an inquiry should take place.
As a shareholder of a competitor I for sure hope there is an investigation into this insider dealing, we need to know precisely what is going on here.
it sounds almost too good to be true, we are talking about turning a tenth of a penny into over $5 in value, and a lot of that value comes directly from Aphria shareholders....
happens really fast, we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars, I am sure institutional owners of Aphria are going to be looking into their legal options.....very interesting stuff
As a long time investor in a major competiton to Aphria, I just came here to thank management for the Nuuvera Acquisition.
I believe that this acquisition will lead to a near total destruction of Aphria shareholder value if the deal goes through - both cash and equity.
It is very comforting to know that one of my investment's largest greenhouse competitors is run by people that are wasting their time and opportunities pursuing deals like this. To think that cash could have gone towards more greenhouse space or something...
Thank You Aphria!

It seems that Aphria management insiders are using this deal to make money off the stock price of Aphria, watering it down a bit - to the detriment of all current shareholders, and option holders. This is a shame, because they are not being fair and are trying to reap over sized rewards compared to other employees and long time investors in the corporation.
We are talking about a lot of cash and shares trading hands, and this early in the game I am sure there are lots of great opportunities to be using cash in this industry to build real long term shareholder value, instead they put it in their pockets.....what a shame!
and what will happen to the global cannabis industry in 2-3 years? Markets are opening, supply chains are being established, IP is being developed, market share is being captured.....
Canada, Caribbean, South America, Europe, Australia....its the beginning of the beginning of an industry.
I know the feeling, I started buying Twd at $2 a share, and was averaging down from there. It sucks when it happens but the price dropped and I was in the red for a while....it still pisses me off!!!
ok, i didn't see that post, my bad
show us the chart though, draw a line on it!
the people want it, the government wants it, the provinces want it, the corporations want it, the RCMP is getting their training and their drug detection experts (more money) - this is happening
conservatives are simply acting out their role as the opposition - but the Liberals really do have control over the situation, it is the job of the conservatives to find fault and pick out flaws, it is a healthy system that thoroughly examines the issue before changes are made.
The Senate loves this bill, the government made the bill - i mean it is a foregone conclusion really - there is just no doubt and all that schit on the newspapers is just made up to sell newspapers....in a few short months the bill will be law, the regulations will be published and a firm timeline will be set. Stores will be staffed and stocked, websites will be set up
time for people here to wake up to the fact that the fuse has been lit, this baby is going to blow
Everyone smoke some buds, light up a joints! I am already pretty high but it looks like it passed the vote. Everybody be happy, everybody be happy - YAY!
whatever perceived risk that might have been factor into the price over this vote should be factored out.....legalization is on the way, no doubt about it, and another step forward was taken today.
grind up some mail order nugs! We gonna get lit up in here tonight, congrats to all the holders of the WEED
listening to some fat assclown talking about drug recognition experts supply and demand, while smoking a joint, lol
it really depends, I am high as fack and I don't really know for sure what I am listening to, or the process behind it.....

I am watching it now, the provisions clearly says that an individual cannot carry around a budding cannabis plant in public - fack

so today there will be some standing vote by the tories, oh schit! Don't you worry about it, Justin Trudeau knows what to do
this is precisely what makes this situation so dramatic.....i mean if you were going to write a soap opera this is a good set up right here.....
we got the PM elected on the ideas of cannabis legislation and Senate reform, it is all coming to a head, and the outcome looks in doubt!
on top of all of this, the stakes are high, tens of billions of dollars in market cap....OUR MONEY in on the line.....our capital has been invested to take advantage of one particular situation.......
we got a June 7th deadline of some sort on the Senate, because we got serious company coming to visit and have dinner on June 8th and 9th....got to get the house in order....
Let us not forget that Justin Trudeau is on record having admitted using cannabis as a member of the parliament of Canada....
this guy is straight up gangsta....I like to consider myself pretty reckless and a total pothead, but even I would stop smoking weed if I become a MP....this guy is serious about this situation, he won't stop
This story is not over, there will be sex, and drugs, and car chases, Justin Trudeau will learn profound life lessons, overcoming obstacles and succeeding in the end
that is how it always goes, this is the part of the movie right before the champion kicks ass and wins the game
the final outcome loses significance without there being doubt it can possibly happen, this is just drama
I want a t-shirt that says plain package now....that is brilliant, plain package bud....lol, its like a playful little middle finger to the government, consumers will love it
what is going to happen next - Canopy Rivers spin off, Nasdaq listing, BC Tweed 1.7 million sq. ft. licensing, Germany license, or shipment of genetics to Denmark - are we growing cannabis in Denmark yet.....or will it be something new and unexpected.....what will happen next?
and when will we be able to smoke Tweed buds in Jamaica? I am not going back until I know I got some proper cannabis to smoke in Jamaica, want to make sure when I smoke buds in Jamaica a tiny fraction of that economic activity will eventually wind up in my retirement account
what the hell are you talking about with Bob Loblaw? what has that got to do with anything? I googled it and he is some character on a tv show?
one anonymous source talks some schit and they print it....news - somebody has a story and they want to remain anonymous - it was always BS, somebody wanted attention on the companies and invented some news
I think it was just to highlight that CGC has a major supply agreement with Alicaliber, and who knows how far that will go. Alicaliber has over 40,000 hectares of poppy under cultivation - so who knows how much they will supply eventually....as long as they are directly supplying CGC I love it
Lately we have seen CGC work to diversify its supply of cannabis through supply agreements and partnerships, with BC Tweed, Sunniva, and Alicaliber as major suppliers, It seems that Canopy Growth Corp as a corporation is moving away from actual production of cannabis flowers as it's main business.
For BC Tweed, Sunniva, Alicaliber - they can grow the flowers, but we make and maintain the genetics, supply the clones, take shipment of the ingredients, process them into final products and ship them out through our distribution channels.
Eventually cannabis will become a commodity, but we will have the premium products, premium brands, distribution channels, supply chains
I really wish I had a job where I did research for clients. I like to find information, literally that is what I do for fun, I don't watch tv, I do google searches
they are breeding hemp for CBD production, hemp grown outdoors, i forget where, but yes they can extract CBDs with their extraction equipment in Smith Falls and they already make CBD oil, got some here in my house.
right way to play that scenario for damn sure!
I like the Alicaliber deal, we send them 1500 clones and probably specify standard operating procedures - and they grow they bud and we are going to get a fat margin off the sale of that bud. Critical thing here is we are not putting up any capital - a stream of revenue is going to come off of this deal and grow, and it required very little initial investment it seems - these supply agreements are like Coca-Cola setting up 'bottling partners' - we got the brand and the genetics - license agreements, royalties, Canopy Growth Corp is set up to repeat this anywhere on the planet.
