Ok, but no news or contracts or anything that may drive the pps?
Any anticipated catalysts upcoming?
Yeah years ago that was accepted as being fine. But now... Thanks to lawyers, that would be considered unreasonable delay. The courts accept about a 7 minute window these days from the time suspicion is formed to the administer of a roadside test. And even with that, an officer needs good reason for that delay.
The days of offering a 24 hour suspension like that are long gone. And an officer cannot bring a person back to the station anymore without reasonable grounds formed that they are impaired. Meaning smell of liquor alone isn't enough. Smell is enough to administer a roadside test tho, which depending on the results may THEN warrant the grounds to demand a person come back to the station to provide a sample in the far more accurate device.
Not that I am trying to give a law lesson, but may be useful info for some!
Awesome! Thanks for pointing that out. I think that's very positive.
Not much has changed there for the most part.
Any vehicle on shift will have at least one alcohol breathalyzer in it, with BC being the exception. In BC, provincial legislation mandates that a second one be available as the person has the option of blowing in a second device if they want.
So in BC all vehicles on shift have 2 devices per vehicle.
I can't comment on how the U.S. Operates but obviously if the market is upward of 3 billion a year, they have sever outfitted as well.
Not the intent at all, but I see what you're saying. I'm long in this as well so really want to see it fly. I hope it does. Just not a fan of her track record. Hope she turns it around!
Just reading up on her. She actually is pretty sketchy with a terrible track record. Maybe she needs to piss off elsewhere.
You don't think the company management is credible? Any particular reason why?
No, not all officers carry tasers. In fact very few do sadly. I say sadly because they are a great tool. I won't get into it here, but I will quickly say they are very effective but unfortunately you only ever hear about them in the news when something goes wrong the 1 time out of 1000 they are used (not a factual stat, just a rough number I picked).
Not everyone is trained to carry one and like a pistol, they are mandatory qualifications to carry one. Some agencies only allow supervisors to carry them. In mine, any can provided they up to date with training.
To put a number on it... I would say 20 percent in Canada. I suspect that is closer to 40 in the US where their policies are quite different. 99 percent of agencies use the X26 model taser right now. That thing retails for about 1300 bucks CAN. But of course taser makes a killing from selling things like batteries and cartridges to go with them. They are also in the body camera business which of course is becoming more of public topic these days.
Hope some of that info was useful!
Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
I'm failing to see the connection to Puremobility? Can you please elaborate on this?
I'm curious to know what other contracts the company has in the works as they stated. We may be primed for something huge here.
I can't be of much help with those numbers unfortunately as I am in Canada. I can tell you there are approximately 70K police officers in Canada. In the states there literally almost ten times that with over 700k sworn officers.
Not sure how many cars this translates to however. You think of cities like the LAPD and NYPD with hundreds of cops working at a given time, there will be a lot of cars out patrolling.
I have no idea what the Cannabix device will retail for, but I do know our current roadside alcohol breathalyzer costs about 1200 CAN.
We also have to pay to have them regularly maintained and calibrated to meet the legal requirements.
Bottom line... The potential for revenues is huge for the company just from police alone. We also need to account for employers who may want them as well.
I think the longs here will be smiling wide in due time.
Sorry I cannot help more with raw numbers.
It is a no brainer. Absolutely. We currently carry two alcohol breathalyzes per vehicle. (Thanks to legislation). Not sure if it will be the same for a MJ roadside device, but I can tell you the demand is huge.
Awesome! Thanks for the detailed information on that.
Does VTXB have something in the works for this summer? Just curious what your expectation is with this.
Nice! Thanks for your input on that. And completely agree... The company needs to get this out there and we should all enjoy some significant profits.
HDSI getting lots of attention
I agree. However it's their large O/S and float that worries me in terms of stock value.
I would love to see the company eventually buy back shares off the open market. That would really add value moving forward.
$EGOH will be a strong contender in the near future. With their new announced contract worth 200MM, a modest valuation puts it at roughly 0.056 pps. Huge potential for those in early.
Awesome post coin. I agree with everything you said 100%
Awesome. Thanks for the breakdown. Much appreciated.
How far can this gem run??? Any opinions?
200 million contract... Awesome. See what happens from there.
Ok, that's fair. I know some of these companies go to great lengths to appear legit. But I also know a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would not be at the head of such a company. I respect anyone who has their doubts, but I certainly have none in terms of the authenticity of the company itself.
There are TONS of media on this company. They are legit. Who has heard of a pump and dump company that attends trade shows and Expos and pays premium dollar for floor space? None that I heard of. It's obvious buddy here is just trying to scare people and get cheap shares. He won't be getting mine.
You cannot expect much movement without a major catalyst occurring. I would be concerned if the stock was moving lots for no good reason, as this would tell me it's being heavily manipulated. The fact it has formed a nice new solid base since February is good news IMO.
I think the next 2-3 months will be exciting for this stock and those patient enough to hold out will be rewarded.
Don't take my comments as financial advice, I'm just stating my opinion. I will not be selling a single share and if anything will be adding to my position before this thing explodes.
Everyone blows using a one-time use plastic mouth piece, for the stated obvious of preventing germ spread. Typically, we discard them after the person blows into the device.
There are exceptions however where we (the police) will seize the mouth peice as evidence. This only usually happens during a refusal scenario or if we believe the person is "faking" a weak blow. We seize the mouth peice so they cannot come back in court down the road and say it was a defective mouth peice.
Otherwise, we simply discard them. I haven't had anyone ask for their mouthpeice but I wouldn't say no if they asked, provided it wasn't being seized as evidence.
Hope that clarifies things!
Yes you are correct in stating that. Hopefully that changes sometime in the future.
I agree with you both actually. I think they should go global, absolutely. There is a world wide market. However, they would be smarter to focus on the North American market first. For a few reasons... Namely they (the board) are familiar with this particular market. Especially one being a former mountie. This is also a perfect time for this product to be launched in this market given legalization is very close and is so talked about on the political stage right now.
Yea, the company should pursue globally. However, they need to master the North America market first to be successful on the global stage in my opinion. One step at a time guys. We will get there.
Being in law enforcement, I can tell you the market is much larger than the 500 million you suggested. That is a modest number. In my agency our roadside alcohol breathalyzes are well over a grand each. I have no idea but the Cannabix unit will be worth, but sales alone will be huge. Then we need take into account any licensing profits they will make.
You can't simply assume the stock value based on projected or annual sales alone. You're stock price of 7.50 based on 500 million sales isn't the full picture. This does not capture the entire company value as the market will see it. Good starting point mind you.
Absolutely agree with you here... A lot of folks seem overly interested in these spin off shares which boggles my mind as they will me essentially worthless for quite some time. Personally I could care less about those shares as I am interested in the big fish here.
Not too sure on the patent date, BUT this company has been very solid to date with delivering on time so I'm very optimistic it will happen in the coming months.
I agree completely
This clearly is not a pump and dump stock... In fact it's the opposite. You don't see the company attempting to pump this what so ever. Instead they are being hush about their product and rightly so. They are revolutionizing an industry that is untapped this far... Of course they want to keep thinge on the DL until the right time.
The demand is real people. Without getting into details I can tell you myself and my colleagues would have benefited this evening from having a roadside Marihuana breathalyzer while dealing with someone who was driving while recently smoking up. The law enforcement community needs this tool. This company knows that and is delivering.
Don't let drops like today throw you off track. Long and strong here.
Gold Digga, your are absolutely correct. The roadside device does not need to specify an amount. I'll again draw examples from alcohol breathalyzes just because I've worked with them the last 8 years... If for example police attend an accident where alcohol was suspected by the driver, we would administer the roadside test. This does not tell us a number (blood alcohol percentage) it simply tells us Pass, Warn or Fail. A pass means all clear. A warn means they are within certain parameters that don't meet criminal charges but may meet provincial charges. A fail simply means they are over the legal limit but we don't know what that is roadside. A fail means we now have the grounds to take that person back to the station to provide a sample in a much more elaborate machine that will give is an exact number of their blood alcohol. And yes the older versions actually gave is a green, yellow or red light depending on the result.
But you are totally correct in stating this is a roadside tool. It will be used as a preliminary device to determine if THC is present in the system. If so, it will grant police further authoritative grounds to pursue a more in depth investigation whether that be blood testing or what not. But like alcohol testing, expect this to come under heavy scrunity at the court level. That's a given, but does not negate the demand for this product. It is needed, especially in society these days taking a liberal stance on cannabis use.
The brains behind this product is a former mountie who has worked with those devices I referred to earlier. He knows exactly what is needed and what hurdles will be encountered along the way. I have complete faith in this technology.
Thanks for the kind comments. Much appreciated.
I have read a lot of the comments on here lately and would like to provide my personal/professional insight.
I draw similar conclusions to the current roadside alcohol breathalyzers we carry in our vehicles presently. Every vehicle has at least one and we have several at the office. At over 1100 dollars each, do the math. Keep in mind this is in Canada where we have far less police officers on the road. Also, these products are sent to the manufacturer annually for testing to confirm calibration.
I cannot speculate the Cannabix product will be the same or be the same price, but if every police vehicle in North America has one, that's huge sales for the company. That's not including any employers who many wish to use them for their respective companies.
To shed light on a few issues I've read here... These devices will NOT be able to render a person to be impaired by drugs. Just like current roadside alcohol breathalyzers cannot alone determine a person is impaired by alcohol. The alcohol roadside device merely provided an officer grounds to conduct subsequent investigation. I.E, if an officer suspects a person is drunk, they blow into the device. If they fail, an officer then reads either a breath or blood demand depending on circumstances. This is a more precise an accurate reading that the courts accept.
I suspect the Cannabix device will be similar. It alone cannot be grounds at the Court level to say a person was impaired. It will how ever, allow police to form their grounds to make such a demand to allow them to pursue that avenue.
I hope this explanation is helpful. Just my personal and professional insight.
As a serving police officer in Canada, I can tell you the demand for this will be massive. If this product follows through as advertised, there are mega dollars to be here made here.
