Yes , since we are in a partnership now what if Theion wanted to go public , could they merge with Coretec ? I saw you posted the Forbes article this weekend comparing Theions 900 mile battery to Teslas batteries ? Teslas about 1000 Bucs a share so what value would Theion have ? Interesting .Great to see a company we partnered with in an article saying Theions battery is projected to be far better than Teslas battery. On Theions new web site they say their battery could replace ever battery on the globe . They just hired a new CEO last week.
from the patent filed by Theion :
[0002] From US20180331341A1 a spun silicon-based mat is known made from a mixture of a liquid silicon precursor and polymer, wherein lithium is introduced in the silicon matrix of the resulting nanotubes of the spun mat.
Hopefully this particular patent includes Coretec silicon materials . It looks like it does but ill wait and see for we haven't heard anything about the Theion partnership or any advancements in that partnership at all except this patient talks about the liquid silicon Si6H12 and the artificial SEI layer in the Theion patent that Coretec just highlighted at the recent Argonne national lab presentation. Perhaps because they signed non disclosure agreements and can't give updates yet.. I hope that partnership is making progress . We will find out this month at the call in I assume. Well its 3 o'clock in the morning and time to hit the hay ! Good night all .
[0024] In some embodiment an additional object of the invention is a production of well aligned and/or interlaced and/or stacked self-standing layers comprising (preferably consisting of) silicon nano or microfibers preferably from suitable hydrogenated silicon precursors which are preferably liquids within the operating window of nano and or micro fibrous production apparatus, preferably defined between m.p. -55°C to b.p. 420°C. Silicon precursors include, but are not limited to cyclic silanes (SinH2n, where n > 3) e.g. cyclohexasilane Si6H12, (m.p. +16.5, b.p. +226°C) or acyclic silanes (SinH2n+2 where n>3) such as hexasilane Si6H14 (m.p -44,7°C to +b.p. 193.6°C)
From the Theion patent published march 23 2022
[0011] In the scope of the previous analysis the inventive ex-situ pre-lithiated heterofibrous silicon anode with preferabvly an artificial SEI layer, having mixed ion-electron conductivity is the a new and viable solution for the next generation batteries capable to accept high charge rates and realize ultra-compact batteries with capacities over 1200 Wh/I and 350 Wh/kg with Li-rich LLS cathode.
from the patent from Theion published march 23rd 2022
[0007] Lithium metal anode volumetric capacity in fully discharged state is 0 mAh/cm3 so all lithium was stripped down from e.g. a Cu foil during discharge and transferred towards the cathode. So lithium in fully charged state has a capacity of 2061 mAh/cm3 compared to silicon which has in fully discharged state a capacity of 8334 mAh/cm3 and fully lithiated - charged state 2193 mAh/cm3. So those numbers disclose advantages of using lithiated silicon anode instead of LMA (lithium metal anode). This is because theoretical volumetric fluctuation of lithium metal is 100% represented by average 0.205 mAh/cm2 per 1 micron of thickness. Thus, a LMA anode is dimensionally unstable. So on discharging (stripping) the thickness of lithium metal foil decrease where opposite on charging (plating) increase. In comparison to graphite which is the most commonly used anode material, all volumetric fluctuations during cycling of the inventive anode is compensated inside the internal voids/porosity (˜30% of the volume) of anode with only minor changes of anode thickness.
From the news release about the conference call I noticed that the article highlighted Space Exploration as an application along with mobile devices and Electric cars. Theion said their first battery targets space exploration and mobile tech first then EVs. Theion has a battery that has a lithium metal foil anode I believe that's Gen 1 of 4 they said they will have. Gen 2 could be the silicon anode battery that the patent describes published march 23 , 2022 at patent guru . That patent was first filed Sept of 2020 one month before Coretec announced their partnership with theion. Now almost 2 years later that patent is updated and published with the built in artificial SEI layer and has a liquid silicon precursor and polymer . Sounds like Coretec and Theion developed this battery. We need to get an update at the conference call on this.
From the news release last week .
The Coretec Group is developing a lithium-ion battery with a silicon anode that will improve battery cycling stability, enable longer run times, and allow for greater energy density in applications such as electric vehicles, mobile devices, and space exploration. The shareholder call will provide background and an update on the Company’s progress in its battery development.
Coretec last November conference call talked about the quickest way to revenue would be to complete a partnership or acquisition with a company in the battery field . I wonder if Coretec and Theion would merge ? Theions first battery would be there own it looks like from the Forbes article and the next gen 2 or 3 could be a battery with Coetecs silicon in it ?? Don't know . I guess I'm assuming Theirs lithium metal foil anode has no silicon ? onset sound like it . Coretec said it would be revenue above and beyond their own tech if I remember if they were involved in an aquisition . It will all play out in time and hopefully the conference call will be mid April !
https://www.patentguru.com/inventor/slavik-marek. !!!! Advanced pre litigated heterofibrous monolithic wafer like silicon anode !!!!
Theion patent came out March 23 , 2022 a few days ago and says their battery has : From the patent :
A silicon spun based mat is made from a mixture of a liquid silicon precursor and polymer !!! And also says ,
The anode body has an artificial ex-situ SEI layer over the entire surface of the wafer.
Coretec talked at the Argonne national lab conference about developing their battery with an artificial SEI layer built into the anode to solve the probliems anode battery have during litigation . Looks like its already been done with Coretec partner Theion !!
With Coretec and Theion in partnership and this battery patent with it looks like Coretec silicon in it I hope to here more about this in the conference call
Conference call in april should adress what the battery development announcement is that Coretec is refering to on their web site under the battery tab on the technology tab. perhaps a partnership or aquisition that they talked about wanting to complete in the call in last november . Could be a news release the morning of the call in . Might be a 3:05 conference call. The others have been at 9:00 am
Coretec group presentation on day 2 at about the 2:29 hour mark
Yes and they noted that they are looking for an anode manufacturing partner as well

Coretecs presentation given at the Argonne Bridge the Gap : Advancing Americas battery manufacturing and supply chain event Thursday.
Argonne national labs conference had everyone who's anyone in the Gov lab business there it seems if you look at the line up of those in attendance . It didn't list the speakers

one of the goals is to produce better materials in the good ole USA that work and are cost effective and to not be reliant on foreign companies for materials.
PG 19 of the national blueprint for lithium ion battery development says China controls 65% of battery Anode material production. USA only 10% at this point .
USA is at the bottom of the production list for battery materials . that needs to change !!!
Coretec presented at the Aronne national laboratory today according to the EVENTS site on the web site
Using the word announcement vs update could mean a material news release is coming soon . I do like the fact that Armatice ,the hedge fund that gave Coretec the 6 million dollars to execute Coretecs plans is on board with the acquisition part of the plan . This was stated in the conference call. That means its a good acquisition for the company and shareholders and as they said the quickest way to revenue.
In the conference call they mentioned that they were in talks with a couple of companies and a major university about collaborating together on making a battery, also they mentioned that they were interested in a acquisition with a company to help build out a battery . The CEO remarked a while back that they would give an update on the partnership with the French alternative energy and atomic energy commission they were working with in France. So we can see that the announcement could be a number of things . Hopefully they will update us soon as in real soon.
"Battery development announcement coming soon " Go to the technology tab on the Coretec web site and click on the new , " Battery " tab and that's what it says !!
https://www.theion.de Theions new website . Not much out there yet as far as any news .
News out , new lab lease signed should be ready at the end of December !!!!
Both Simon Calton and Victor Keen are part owners of Carlton James who loaned Coretec 2.5 million dollars . I would assume the shares which are being sold out of their position with Carlton James , not there person holdings , are being sold to pay back the loan with Carlton James . Principle or interest I don't know but they aren't selling their personal shares owned outside of Carlton James. Doug Freitag , new board member , made a great statement that Coretec potentially could make the United States more competitive and less dependent ( vs overseas businesses), that's means he thinks this new CHS material could have national impact on the applications we are looking at.
“I am thrilled to join the board of The Coretec Group. The company has created products with great potential to disrupt a market overwhelmed by demand and they continue to expand their intellectual property,” said Freitag. “I look forward to helping a domestic company who has the potential to make the United States more competitive and less dependent.”
Thats a big statement from a materials expert !He worked and managed for Lockheed Martin for years and his team created 2 billion dollars in new missile sales .Not bad now he owns Bayside materials and hooks companies up with Gov projects and Gov funding . Lockheed as you know makes products for the US military as well as others .
Battery show starts the 14th of sept . , Teusday
Reannouncement today of the recent patent filing from a news outlet in Detroit
https://www.dbusiness.com/tech-mobility-news/ann-arbors-coretec-group-files-patent-to-speed-silicon-quantum-dot-production/
There were 2 mentions of a merger / reverse merger candidates in previous sec filing . The first was 25,000 was spent on potential merger candidates the other was , perhaps a 10 K , 81,000 was spent in part on legal fees on a potential reverse merger candidates , and part of that 81 K was also spent on consultant fees for funding and transition to new CFO . Id have to look back at the dates .
No revenue yet . First shipments of 50 grams according to 10Q didint go out until June, the last month of the quarter, so I assume that had something to do with no revenue from testing CHS materials this quarter . Hopefully we will have a lot of good developments coming soon that they can share with use . Keeping an eye on any new research papers filed by Eindhoven U .
Coretecs 10Q should be out Friday or Monday so we will see if Coretec had some revenue from the sale of CHS for those who received their samples . They were not free so we should have some revenue . April 19th Coretec said on twitter they had begun shipping CHS out . Academia received first samples as well as semi conductor and anode battery customers. 2 partnerships were formed 2 to 3 months after April 19 so It only took the CEA and Eindhoven a short time to work with CHS after receiving samples to decide on a partnership with Coretec which they wouldn't have done before first testing CHS samples to then decide on a partnership therefore CHS must be a good candidate for longer term use or they wouldn't have partnered with Coretec .
Pascale Chenevier named in the news release is listed as one of those working on this report , click on" show all 10 authors " and her name comes up , this paper lines up exactly with what the news release said this work with Coretec was about with the French alternative energies and atomic energy commission . The paper s from jan 2021 so ill be looking for papers filed that talk about CHS Si6H12
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/348769346_Effect_of_Size_and_Shape_on_Electrochemical_Performance_of_Nano-Silicon-Based_Lithium_Battery
I wonder if this is the program the Coretec is involved in with the CEA : French alternative energies and atomic energy commission . Pascale Whenever is the person that commented about the project in Coretecs news release. Have to look around

That forum should be see the partner list on this project from the optosilicon site. Not many people are following this that close but Coretec is working in projects with IBM that could be big for the future success of this company
https://optosilicon.eu
It great to see the Coretec Group working on a project with Eindhoven University and Erik Bakkers that IBM is a partner in . If Coretec gets its new silicon ,CHS , into a these new Silicon laser semi-conductors that work at the speed of light that would be awesome !!! Coretec being part of this project that IBM is a major partner in it seems clear to me could result in Coretecs CHS silicon being in IBM technologies if Coretec is sussessful here. I think it looks good or Erik Bakkers wouldn't be working with Coretec new silicon CHS and he did say CHS could be a game changer !!!
https://optosilicon.eu
Erik Bakkers listed not only with Eindhoven U but also as PARTNERS with IBM , Microsoft and Phillips in the area of Semi- conductors Coretec is working with a guy and University doing work for the BIG BOYS on a project Coretec is involved with through partnership with Eindhoven U. This is really big time stuff. Let it play out and hopefully Coretecs new CHS is in these new silicon
laser semi- conductor chips that operate at the speed of light .
