What's to fear if I have a gun?
yep ... all on a fluke! (yeah, that stinks, I know)
I'm fairly sure he and Holder and Hillary already have a plan to work from ....
I'm sure no one, especially this professional female activist-turned-'student' ... expected to bring down the mighty Limbaugh with her pathetic whining ..
Yeah, Rush brought it on himself .... but she'll be taking credit for it soon, if not already. Her future is secure as long as there are liberals around! LOL
Perhaps you missed this litle tidbit?

Always working that 'what's in it for me' angle .....
Didn't I just read something about an ex-governor going to prison for similar conduct? Basically influence peddling?
Ah, How quickly they forget.
Limbaugh Apologizes as a Gentleman; Bill Maher Refuses
By Mark Whittington | Yahoo! Contributor Network – 7 hrs ago.. .
COMMENTARY | Recently Rush Limbaugh, the conservative talk show host, and Bill Maher, host of the HBO show "Real Time," demonstrated different ways of how to deal with similar mistakes. The two approaches by the different men speak much to their character.
Limbaugh has apologized to Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown University law school student whom he insulted, according to Hot Air. "My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir," Limbaugh said. "I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices." Limbaugh owned up to his mistake and behaved as any gentleman should.
Maher has chosen a different approach, according to the Daily Caller. In the opening monologue of his show, Maher took note of a previous monologue by Limbaugh in which he compared his own behavior toward Fluke with Maher's vile and obscene insults toward Sarah Palin. In Maher's view, unlike Limbaugh, he does not have to apologize.
Maher's excuse goes like this. Limbaugh has sponsors to which he is responsible. Some of Limbaugh's sponsors have pulled their advertising in the wake of the storm he has stirred. But Maher, since his show airs on a pay-for-view cable network HBO, does not have sponsors. Ergo, Maher can say anything he wants, even insulting a lady with words that cannot be reproduced here.
Maher misses the point. One does not apologize for making a mistake only if some outside institution or people apply pressure. One apologizes because it is the right thing to do.
To be sure, there are instances, articulated by John Wayne's iconic character in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon," in which he famously said, "Never apologize. It's a sign of weakness." Neither the case of Limbaugh with Fluke not Maher with Palin applies. Neither woman deserved what they got.
Apologizing in such circumstances is quite easy, as demonstrated by Limbaugh. It consists of the following:
What I did was wrong.
I am sorry about it.
Everything else, while necessary in some cases to provide context, is usually supercilious to the task at hand.
Limbaugh managed to swallow his pride and showed himself to be a man and a gentleman by doing so. Maher, by making excuses, showed himself to be something else entirely.

Bravo!
Maybe he will address your post. He turned tail and ran from mine, when I pointed out the same figures. But running away then coming back to call you a bigot, racist and other assorted names is more his style, when you confront him with the truth. Or, having his twin brother do it for him! LOL
And I think that, as of right now, that would be a correct assessment. Newt's ego won't let him quit just yet, even though he knows, I think, it is over for him.

Muslim Brother picked to lead new Libya party
By Dominique Soguel | AFP – Sat, Mar 3, 2012...
Libyan Islamists and independents on Saturday formed a new political party, electing as its leader a Muslim Brotherhood member who was a political prisoner under the regime of dead dictator Moamer Kadhafi.
Mohammed Sawan, jailed for eight years under the ousted regime of Kadhafi who had outlawed political parties as an act of treason, was elected Justice and Construction party leader after a three-day conference in the capital.
"I have real mixed feelings because I was imprisoned under Kadhafi for my attempts to create a political party, and I am grateful to the people here who have placed their trust in me," Sawan told AFP.
The Tripoli meeting brought together hundreds of people keen to take part in the launch of the new party. Votes on a wide range of issues, including the party's name, were taken by a show of hands.
Sawan nailed the support of 51 percent of those present in a run-off vote.
The party charter is still under discussion by an elected body, but Muslim Brothers, Islamists and independents held the conference with the shared aim of forming a "national party with an Islamic frame of reference."
"We aim for diversity and a state of law where differences in opinion are respected," Sawan said, later telling journalists that the party sees Islam as a religion that regulates all aspects of life, including politics.
There may be no law governing the formation of political parties in the new Libya, but political associations and coalitions are forming at a rapid pace.
Political associations of any kind were banned for decades under the iron-fisted rule of Kadhafi, who was toppled and killed in last year's popular uprising.
A sizeable number of the party's 1,360 constituent members are former prisoners, including Ali al-Kermi, an elderly Muslim Brother who says he spent three decades in prison for his political activities.
"We want the supremacy of the law and tolerance, not revenge," Kermi, who now leads an association of former political prisoners, told AFP.
"The party will reject any practice that violates human rights" because so many of its members have experienced such violations first hand, he said, adding that he was "proud of the revolution."
The conference also set in motion the election of 20 members of the party's shura council or advisory body. A further 25 members will be elected by party members nationwide, a party official said.
"Everything about this party is based on the democratic principle," said Nizar Kawan, one of the conference organisers.
The idea of the party was conceived during a November 2011 meeting of the Muslim Brotherhood in Tripoli, Amin Belhaj, another founding member, told journalists.
He said a key goal was to bring together representatives from all of Libya and to include all ethnic groups in the party ranks.
"We have created a new era in Libya by electing a party leader democratically," said Khalil Sawalim, a UK-based rights activist.
Since the start of the so-called Arab Spring, elections in the region have benefited Islamists, including in Egypt, Libya's neighbour to the east, and in Tunisia to the west.
Similar outcomes are expected in June when Libya, which often emphasises its all-Muslim and moderate identity, is due to elect a constituent assembly.
"We are all Islamists and we want Libya to be at the summit of developed nations," Majda Fallah, a party activist, told a jubilant crowd including dozens of women.
The party aims to meet a minimum quota of 10 percent female representation, and Fallah told AFP she expects the party to exceed that benchmark.
Sawan also said he expected women to play a major role in the new party because women already play an active role in civil society and "more than 100 women's groups" helped put together the three-day event.
"We believe women can run in elections and have all their rights," he said.
Most of Libya's emerging parties emphasise Islam as a source of legislation.
Osama Mohammed, from Tarhuna, said the Justice and Construction party stood out because of the role it gives to Islamic law and the process of shura, or consultation.
"All Libyans are Muslims, but sharia is the common denominator through which we can settle our differences," he said.

Why is Michelle Obama so tired?
Exclusive: Mychal Massie says fist lady 'doesn't give a rat's tail' about her behavior
Published: 6 days ago
by Mychal MassieEmail | Archive
What on earth can Michelle Obama possibly be tired from? What has she done since her husband was elected that gives her one reason to be tired? I know that flying, for the proletariat such as myself, can be tiring and, more times than not, a genuine pain – but she flies in presidential luxury, sans the president. And the only checkin’ in and full-body scan she goes through at an airport is when she looks at herself in a mirror.
We, the taxpayers of this great nation, demand to know just what it is that has her royalness so worn out and tired, that after just enjoying a lavish 17-day Hawaiian Christmas vacation (that cost taxpayers $4 million), she needs another vacation at one of the most exclusive (and anti-union) resorts in the country.
It cannot be that she is overworked because, if the liberal Los Angeles Times is to be believed, between them, the Obamas have 454 White House aides, at a cost to the taxpayers of more than $37 million annually – and that doesn’t include recent pay raises. (See: “No Recession For Obama’s 454 White House aides: They’ll make $37,121,463 this year”; Andrew Malcolm, July 5, 2011.) And before you ask – yes, that is more than President and Mrs. Bush had, and I was one of the lone voices decrying the size and cost of Laura Bush’s staff.
Could Ms. Obama still be suffering fatigue from the weight of having kept secret, for two years, her extravagant Halloween costume ball? Even though they used military families as a cover in case it got out, the last thing she wanted the public to know was that, while Americans were suffering in the depths of recession, she had the biggest players in Hollywood doing an exclusive costume party just for herself and her family.
Or perhaps it’s the lingering effects of taking her mother and daughters to South Africa and Botswana, or the sheer exhaustion of rushing out of Washington, four hours ahead of her husband, so she wouldn’t have to share her presidential jet with him on the way to Martha’s Vineyard for their annual beach break.
Then again, maybe she was exhausted from her personal $50,000 underwear shopping spree with the queen of Qatar, at Agent Provocateur, the store that bills itself as selling “the most erotic lingerie in the world.” Realizing that you’re responsible for closing down Madison Avenue can be tiring, and watching staff carry all those bags back to her limousines … whew! – that would sure wear me out. And after the tiring experience of picking out all of those exotic undies, what better place to recover than an uber-posh Vail resort and the private home owned by Paula and Jim Crown?
Or maybe she’s worn out from rolling around on the floor to the delight of Ellen Degeneres, or making muscles on a daytime show, or pulling on a rope on another show, or eating at all of the restaurants where she loves to pig it up.
Then again, maybe Ms. Obama is just an arrogant, high-minded person who doesn’t give a rat’s tail about propriety or how her behavior looks to a suffering public because, after all, her husband claims the economy is improving, and who are we going to believe – the reality of our financial situation or her husband?
Michelle Obama can afford to live life large since every dime she’s spending comes on the backs and sweat of others. Nothing, zip, nada that she spends did she personally earn. And therein is the disgusting elitism of a woman who forgets where she came from, and dares you to remind her.
We are responsible for the billionaire life she lives, and it’s time we started demanding that she be accountable to us. It’s time we started confronting Obama at every press conference and/or speaking venue about the behavior of his wife. He is spending hundreds of millions of our money, flying around the country to raise a billion dollars for his campaign war chest, and we’re paying $4 per gallon for fuel. We’ve lost our homes, our mortgages are upside-down, our property taxes aren’t enough to cover the increasing cost of infrastructure because of the drain of resources by illegal aliens, and all of this is happening as the price of putting milk and cereal on our tables is rising dramatically.
But why shouldn’t she be smiling? For the first time in her adult life, she is proud of America – and why not? She has tens of millions of peons paying for her very own private reparations – now that’s enough to put a smile on any elitist’s face.

The Left’s Deranged Hatred of Allen West
On the list of things that make progressives gnash their teeth and foam at their mouths, little tops an African-American of the conservative persuasion. Even more horrifying to the Left is one who makes clear: “you’re not going to intimidate me,” as Congressman Allen West (R-FL) said at a Tuesday night town hall meeting where leftists, including former Air America host Nicole Sandler (who was later arrested), tried to disrupt the event. From his successful 2010 congressional campaign through today, Congressman Allen West remains unfazed by such tactics. As a result, the attacks against him by the American Left continue.
The attacks began during West’s race for the House of Representatives against Democratic incumbent Ron Klein in what the Palm Beach Daily News characterized as “one of the nastiest campaigns of the season.” Klein’s political ads were a testament to that reality, focusing exclusively on attacking West’s character instead of on the issues. (Disclosure: I live in Florida, close to West’s district, and can personally attest to the tenor of Klein’s campaign.) According to Klein, West was “too dangerous and too extreme.” Klein also revealed that West had accumulated a tax lien and unpaid homeowner’s association dues, and claimed he was tied to the Outlaws motorcycle gang.
West’s responses? The debts were incurred while he was fighting for his country in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they have been paid off. He rides motorcycles, but has no affiliation to the Outlaws. Yet when the Florida Democratic Party made West’s tax lien document public, they included his social Security number in the release to 60,000 voters in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. West characterized the release as “a new low... it is not about character assassination, it is about destruction of a family,” he said, referring to the possibility of identification theft.
New DNC head Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) took time to criticize West as well, making the bizarre accusation that he is “self-described right-wing extremist…who thinks it’s OK to objectify and denigrate women[.]” She extrapolated this from the fact that West writes a column for a biker magazine which has some less-than-enlightened views regarding women. Thus, West is guilty by association. Wasserman-Schultz continued, “Tea party extremists have some real issues when it comes to women that they need to address,” she said. “If they don’t address them, we will, with our voices and our votes.” The people of Florida’s 22nd district apparently disagreed. West beat incumbent Democrat Klein handily, by a 53 percent to 46 percent margin.
Also during the campaign, G. Seth Platt, the son of a Broward County lobbyist, who created the blog No West FL 22 (devoted to attacking West, of course), claimed he was “so alarmed” about West’s candidacy, that he tweeted about how he was willing to “skin you personally West.” Mr. Platt is white, and yet his over-the-top rhetoric directed at a black American was virtually ignored by the mainstream media. The Sun Sentinel reported in January that Platt was employed at his father’s lobbying firm.
On April 8th, an envelope containing white powder was mailed to West’s Boca Raton campaign office. According to a statement from West’s Chief of Staff Jonathan Blythe, a letter mailed with the package mentioned the word “anthrax” and included derogatory comments aimed at the Congressman. ”I thoroughly condemn this act which does nothing but evidence the sick and deranged nature of the perpetrator,” West said in a statement released the same day. “I will continue to serve the constituents of Florida’s Congressional District 22 with honor and integrity.” Though the substance turned out to be harmless, police took the incident very seriously, due to the fact that Boca Raton was the location of the nation’s first fatal anthrax attack following 9/11.
In an email sent to his constituents, West, reflecting on these last three attacks, speculated on why “the media simply dismissed the incidents.” ”One might wonder–is it open season on a principled black conservative?” he wrote.
It may very well be. But not just for the principles West espouses, but the way he espouses them. On his website http://allenwestforcongress.com/blog, candidate West maintained a blog spanning from Sept. 9, 2009 to Nov. 16, 2010 in which he outlined both his own positions, and pointed criticisms of progressive ideology. His style of writing was extremely forthright, both in defending his conservative principles, and taking on the progressive worldview, as well as its adherents, in no uncertain terms. In one of his final entries, “The Politics of Character Assassination,” West not only took on the media and the DNC, but establishment Republicans to whom he posed a question regarding their preference for RINOs who could win over Tea Party candidates who might not: “is it more important to win with no principles than to stand for something? That is the question the Republican party had soon answer unless they seek to steal defeat from the jaws of victory,” he blogged.
His straightforward style of speaking is equally forthright. Numerous videos available on the internet attest to this reality, such as the one on the topic of illegal immigration and his disdain for amnesty, the one regarding his contempt for government dependency and an unabashed belief in American exceptionalism, and his brilliant exposition of Islamic jihadism in a speech for the Freedom Defense Initiative.
This last topic put Mr. West on the the Council of America Islamic Relations‘ (CAIR) radar. The organization, designated as a co-conspirator during the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial in which four defendants were convicted of aiding terrorist organizations, sent Executive Director Nezar Hamze to one of West’s townhall meetings in Pompano Beach, FL on Feb 21, 2011. Holding a Koran in his hand, Mr. Hamze asked where the book gives orders to its followers “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people.” West pointed out that the Koran was written long before America existed, but that it does tell its followers to kill infidels. West then chronicled a list of historical acts of aggression by Muslims, including the Fort Hood massacre and 9/11. He finished up the heated exchange with this: “I went to Muslim countries to defend the freedom of Muslim people. Don’t come up here and try to criticize me. Put the microphone down and go home.”

Ammo dump explodes in Congo, killing 60
By the CNN Wire Staff
updated 12:05 PM EST, Sun March 4, 2012
(CNN) -- A series of explosions at an ammunition depot in Brazzaville, the capital of Africa's Republic of Congo, killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds more, Congolese and U.S. officials said Sunday.
Betu Bangana, a Congolese government official, said a fire at the depot set off a cache of tank shells, destroying numerous homes in the neighborhoods around the installation. He said at least 60 people had been killed in the blasts.
The explosions occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday (2 a.m. ET). The cause of the fire was not confirmed Sunday, but authorities are treating it as accidental, said Bangana, the director of protocol for President Denis Sassou-Nguesso.
James Jeffers, a spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Brazzaville, said American diplomats had seen hundreds of injured being treated in local hospitals.
The force of the explosions broke windows up to 5 km (3 miles) away in Kinshasa, the capital of the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo. The DRC's military responded by putting tanks and troops on the streets and the banks of the Congo River, which separates the two cities, until it became clear that no attack on the capital was under way.

One of my old 'stomping grounds". Sure hate to see something like this. The poor Congolese have suffered enough over the past few decades.
If the explosion blew out windows across the river in Kinshasa .... some 5 km away ..... must have been one hell of a party in Brazzaville!
Another leftist hack ... not worthy of any more of my time. I am too old to be dealing with these elementary school mentality types.
‘Buy a Gun’ & ‘Keep Your Powder Dry’: Economists Warn of Looming ‘Economic 9/11'
Despite recent reports that the U.S. economy is “recovering” and that there are signs of economic growth, some analysts are less than thrilled with what they see in the near future. In fact, they’re downright scared.
Harry Dent, author of “The Great Crash Ahead,” believes that the global debt bubble is going to burst and when it does, there will be a massive market crash. It should be noted that this is a revision of his earlier prediction that a crash would hit in 2012. He says he modified his forecast because the global central banks have been pumping the markets with so much money, stocks have been given a temporary boost. But he warns that as soon as the short-lived boost comes to an end, the crash will be hard.
“This will be a repeat of 2008-09, only bigger, when it finally hits,” Dent told USA Today.
Gerald Celente, a market analyst at the Trends Research Institute, believes Americans should brace themselves for what he calls an “economic 9/11.” He blames policymakers for their inability to solve the world’s financial and economic woes, according to the USA Today report.
Once the meltdown hits, he says, it will lead to social upheaval, anti-government sentiment, a devalued U.S. dollar, and skyrocketing unemployment.
“Celente won‘t rule out another financial panic that could spark enough fear to cause a run on the nation’s banks by depositors,” USA Today reports. “That risk could cause the government to invoke ‘economic martial law’ and call a ‘bank holiday’ and close banks as it did during the Great Depression.”

Talk about losers? ROFLMAO
West denied any ambitions to run for President or Vice President in 2012, in a Jan 31, 2012 interview, saying he has to concentrate on being a good congressman and being able to present some sound legislation. He, however, concluded by saying he would serve the American People in whatever capacity he might be called upon to serve by God, the country, the people, or by his family.
That's a definite maybe, I'm thinking.

Palin: Rep. Allen West Should Be Considered for VP
Sunday, 04 Mar 2012 11:03 AM
By Newsmax Wires
Sarah Palin, the Republican Party’s vice-presidential candidate in 2008, contends that Rep. Allen West should be considered for that role this year.
The former Alaska governor suggested that the freshman Florida congressman would be a good VP choice after she was asked during a Fox News interview whether she would consider another run at vice president.
"You know who I'd like to see considered for the VP slot is Colonel Allen West," Palin responded. "In this very tumultuous time across our world, someone who has served in our military or at least has intimate knowledge of the way the military works and should work, perhaps by having a close family member serve, someone like that."
"Colonel Allen West, who's been to the school of hard knocks, he should be the one who should be considered seriously for VP," Palin said.
Palin refused to say whether she would consider another vice-presidential try.
"It's not a no," Palin said. "What I'm saying is, if I were in a GOP presidential candidate's shoes, I would first look to Colonel Allen West."
Palin also dismissed any idea that she might be asked to run for president if the GOP contest boiled down to a brokered convention.
"I'm not going to be asked," Palin said. "If it results in a brokered convention, that is nothing to fear."

You can't even read and comprehend, let along think .....
When you demonstrate some adult capabilities, I might offer you a life preserver to rescue you from drowning in your own feces.... And then again, maybe I won't ...
When will they ever learn .. Don't try to debate Newt Gingrich ... you'll lose every time. LOL
Your massive ego is exceeded only by your compelling need to demonstrate your total ignorance.
Get out of the sandbox, and move it up beyond kindergarten level ... actually do some research, and I will stop handing you your ass back in a sack every time your post more of your stupid tripe.
I live in Missouri .... and maintain very close tabs with law enforcement, as I worked nearly 10 years here as a parole officer .. My pals on the Drug Suppression team are busting labs on a regular basis ... and the amount of meth being imported from Mexico has quadrupled.
How long has cocaine been totally illegal here? How many coke and crack addicts do we have in the country?
Do criminals obey laws?
Pull your head out of your rectum, little one. the real world is quite different from your pretend play world.
O yeah, FLW - I spent time there from 80 until 84 ... several trips to Lake of the Ozarks too. I'm on Table Rock now, though, which is still much quieter than LO ... thankfully!
Have a good one out there ... watch your six!
Ah not so much here really. Branson is all about $$$$ and they strongly discourage any bars, to "maintain a family atmosphere" (translation = Children spend money too! ) and Springfield passed an almost complete ban on smoking in any businesses .. even in the cigar shops .. last year. That's what happens when a few do-gooders decide what's best for everyone, and import big bucks from the national level 'anti' programs.
I am stuck pretty much with either sitting out on my deck or sunroom, or walking all 150 feet to the boat dock, and firing up there while I watch the lake! It's tough, but I survive! LOL
If she doesn't drink it, that means you can order the really good stuff, and consider half the tab as hers!
Won't denounce?
You're obviously more interested in playing pretend provocateur than in doing your homework.
The State Rep (B J Pak) trying to get the bill passed to make their activities with the false liens a much more serious crime, is a Republican, you bozo. Obviously, it's the democrats who won't do anything about this shit, and a Republican is trying to do something.
Go crawl under a rock somewhere. That's where you belong.
Nah, that had to be someone else. I did say a Partagas Black has flavors of coffee/espresso and chocolate as you smoke it, but someone else was also talking about a coffee flavored cigar.
I don't do the 'infused' flavored stuff. I prefer the tobacco blends that produce the different flavors. The Partagas Black is a (very) full flavored, bold smoke with a pure ebony wrapper that looks like it is just about wet with oozing oils ... never had a bad one yet. But they aren't as strong as a Joya de Nic Antano...

I usually get the Classico size, but the Bravo gives you a good solid 45 minutes or more.
I tell ya, a Joya de Nic would almost be worth the trip even without the rum!
I'm getting to the 'need to order' point too, but I have forsaken Thompsons in favor of CI Intl a long time ago. CI pedddles a lot of Ghurkas, and I have developed a taste for just about anything with the Ghurka band on it. They've a fairly new one called "Special Ops" that comes with a 'Special Ops knife" when one orders a box. Of course, a lot of the Ghurka boxes are artwork in themselves.
Looks like the pistol was stolen from the young man's grandfather's barn .... so I don't know that the grandfather can really be held responsible. The grandparents had partially raised the shooter.
I am already so dedicated to rimfire / .22 firearms for my small stuff, I really can't be getting into something completely new. Are most of them British in origin, or mostly American? Some of those old BB rifles bring a pretty penny ... I think you can find some on Gunbroker, that you might use as a guide as to what they'll fetch on the market.
While the times continue to march on, the basic rules of warfare change very little. And the Chinese have the patience to continue to pursue the 'non-sexy' methods that could end up being just the edge they need.
What a great idea, and a very appreciative way to provide a day of recreation and entertainment for some of our best. I am sure they appreciate the efforts and will never forget the experience. Hopefully other groups around the country are doing similar things for our returning troops. Thank you.

Argue with that you ill informed, truth-twisting, loud mouthed liberal liar. Look at the difference since Obama came into office, in Jan 2009, you stooge.
I guess you'll say inflation is the difference between Jan 2009 and now, eh? Bullschitt. If you can't tell the truth, then just STFU.
Air Force General blows whistle on Obama, but media deaf
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
"If an Air Force general blows the whistle on the Obama White House, does anyone in the media hear the corruption?"
A United States Air Force general is blowing the whistle on another alleged White House scandal, but few in the news media seem to be listening.
According to General William Shelton, the commanding officer of U.S. Air Force's space command, he was told to alter his testimony before the House of Representatives' Subcommittee on Strategic Forces regarding an Obama White House attempt to award a defense contract to the Lightsquared firm.
Lightsquared is a high-tech company doing business in Virginia that's owned by billionaire Philip Falcone, an Obama friend and campaign contributor.
According to the National Legal and Policy Center, Phil Falcone had visited the White House and made large cash contributions to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Soon after, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted his LightSquared a highly unusual waiver that allows the company to build out a national 4G wireless network on the cheap...

Another, "business as usual" undertaking by the administration, based on lies, cronyism, and corruption. The most transparent administration in history, I might add.
Where is this sort of stuff in the liberal main stream media? They jump right on it when a 30 year old community activist makes some stupid statement before a democratic congressional committee, but when an actual crime is committed by the administration, where the hell are they?
