"you can't grill on balconies" And it NEVER ceases to amaze me the amount of news stories (at least here in MD) that are on about people catching their apartments and or buildings on fire!
And the ALL have the same surprised look on their face when the interview os going on LOL
Nope...as it warmed up they ran like hell LOL! It was like something out of a horror movie! I grabbed the hose and washed them away.
Have a nice night all...need to make some popcorn and get ready for Falling Skies!! WOO HOO!!!
Peace out!!
That too. And I actually like building the little pile of coals...we bought one of those chimneys that you just fill up and stuff newspaper in the bottom of...it's a lot easier but not as much fun LOL
Yep!
That's what I do during the 'grilling season'...but the first clean after the winter needs a good cleaning.
The second year after we had this grill I decided to NOT clean it really good and just fire it up and scrape like you said...so I turned it on and closed the top to let it get good and hot and I went in the house for the brush. When I came back the whole grill was CRAWLING with ants. Apparently they decided to make a cozy little home for themselves inside the double metal of the top.
That's how I like to have a cook out too. A gas grill is easier (once it's all cleaned and everything is tightened up and working right)...but nothing beats the taste of charcoal!
I just hate the thing period. Ever since it caught on fire it's scares me. And I'm a self admitted candy-ass-sissy to begin with LOL It's not so much the cleaning it that bothers me...I have this citrus stuff you spray on it and then just hose it all off...but then I would have to USE it. THAT'S the part that bothers me LOL
As long as it's just Terri and I that I'm cooking for...I'm fine with the electric one we can plug in outside.
Thanks For some reason the cukes aren't as bushy as they were last year but I guess it's still a little early.
Happy Fathers day to you too G! I did nothing all day either but play on the computer and putter around in the yard..
Now I'm getting ready for the 2 hour premier of season 2 of Falling Skies!!!
Nice KC!! I put the Wolfgang Puck grill outside and plugged it in last night...best rib eye steak I've had in a while. One of these days I'll get around to cleaning our gas grill. Maybe LOL
I was too...no updates at all? She must be having too much fun to be bothered with us LOL!
All I saw was a pile of black goo...and it had some red things mixed in with it. Have you even seen a halfway developed bird egg fall out of the nest and break? The stuff that wasn't black goo looked like that. But I didn't see any shells around. I washed it away with the hose the best I could.
The Robin on the front yard is gone. I found 2 eggs under the nest...one on the driveway and one in the grass. Both broken I don't know if the mom knocked them out or if maybe a squirrel did it...sad. I was looking forward to taking some pictures of the babies. he nest wasn't very far off the ground. And it was right beside the driveway so I could have stood on the bumper of my truck and got some good shots.
Not too bad huh!
That makes sense.
It was Kamryn's idea to put the Flamingo there. I wasn't going to put him anywhere outside he was a joke for a plastic palm tree we have in the house.
Yeah this years cukes aren't nearly as big and bushy as last years. And they're in the the exact same dirt (with the exception of some added seed starting soil) in the buckets as they were in the raised bed. I'm a little worried they're not getting as much sun. They're in the same area...just a few feet away from where they were last year. But it's still early I guess. And I'm not entirely sure I planted the same kind of cuke either so it could be that.
That Jalapeno's going to be on top of tomorrow nights nachos! I'll let you now how it is. Terri doesn't like HOT hot...so it's a mild one.
"we try to keep 2 female hogs for breeding.." You guys must do things different down there.
I'm no hog farmer...and usualy don't think you need one for anything...but don't you need a male too?
Most animals don't poop where they eat or sleep...unless they have no other place to go.
Here's some garden pictures....(I cut and pasted from the other board)
Here's a couple of garden pictures I've been meaning to post and a few from today...
This is the garden last Friday...
And here it is one week later...
The first cuke of the season. I noticed it today...
This is one of the first Jalapenos...it's about 4 inches long...there are several smaller ones already too...
A visitor on one of the cantaloupe flowers...
And my first Gypsy pepper of the season...there are some smaller ones on both plants but they don't look like they're going to stick around.
There's a long story behind the Flamingo that I will spare you from...but this is part of the front of our house. These rocks border this flower bed (not many flowers anymore). We have another ring of rocks on the other side that border the same type of bed...and one around the tree in the front yard.

Really? Amish like here in the States or the Nicaraguan version of Amish?
People make me sick.
I'm relaxing too. Been goofing off all day except when I went to the store and ran some errands I didn't get finished yesterday.
Have to get up early so we can go to the Amish market in Annapolis.
The porch looked really good. It's hard to tile an area like that unless you have some type of leveling agent. The steps are hard to do too.
Hey Andy...what's up?
I just hope they put a shower DOOR on and not a curtain. That plug is a little too close for just a curtain. Why didn't they go all the way to the ceiling? They did a nice job though...it really looks nice.
LOL! She did good picking out the tile. Very pretty.
LOL!
Cool beans man...thanks!!! I'm going to try it this weekend. I hope. And I will let you know how she likes it. She gave me a 'what's THAT?' look when she got home and saw it...LOL
I got a can of diced tomatoes with chilies and a small can of tomato paste to thicken that up with. I'll add some herbs and some of the cherry tomatoes I got today too.
Oh wow...if it looked that good messed up I guess it looks even better now? Very nice!!
Oh I haven't seen him (or maybe I have and just don't know it.) I like Gordon Ramsey...he's hysterical! Mean...but funny.
LOL! You fit right in here then
Nice deck!
Better the tree than the dog.
Very nice TTT!
Very nice. Although the cut for that electrical outlet would drive me crazy!
Nice tile Andy!!
Ears like a bat huh? Terri too...unless it's something she doesn't feel like listening to. Usually me.
"Also like squash, acorn, butternut and winter-squash...the same way."
Well of course you do...butter and brown sugar could make cat poo taste good LOL!
I haven't had a sweet potato pie in a million years. I might have to make one soon.
Terri is after me to get our grill fired up. I hate that thing. Gas grills scare my sissy ass anyway...but especially after our friend Donnie put the gage on and didn't tighten it enough ("the ring is plastic I didn't want to break it" was his excuse...moron) and the grill caught on fire. It was only by the grace of God it didn't explode.
Awww...he's so cute. Sassy sleeps like that all the time.
