Let me say it. Didn’t see Dutch, so let me be his substitute for a moment: “ Something is behind the bush! “
Bit surprised this news hits at Memorial Day in the USA. Doesn’t that give the TSX a temporary advantage over the
NASDAQ?
Come to think of it. If this combination needs to be ready before the scandium leaves the mine, I assume they need financing pretty soon as well and Niocorp and Nanopowders need an off take arrangement of some sorts. Question becomes how will Nanopowders secure financing? I know Matheson has good contacts up the Hill.
Anyway this Niocorp is becoming so entangled and wide ranging that interdependencies will drive this to a successful conclusion imo!
I didn’t read that. Nanopowder makes powders for alloys. IBC makes castings.
I like it. Don’t see how you represent the whole market. Bit premature your statement. Considering all constructive news to date, it seems to me these guys know how to capture all the value in this project. In fact I like it a lot and I am not interested in the market. I am here for the long term opportunity.
Fantastic surprise announcement. This could be huge. The co founder of Nanoscale Powders by the way is Dr. Andrew Matheson, the scandium third party specialist who did the assessment in the Niocorp feasibility study. This initiative may well take away the ‘ perceived’ pricing risk which was often discussed on ihub. Price of pure scandium will be less of an issue in a vertically integrated set up. Wow… this is as good as it gets. Let’s hope this initiative gets reality. Reading it would seem this project needs to be ready before mine scandium production.
“ Our best days are unpredictably ahead… and that’s awesome!”
Love that expression.
I think no public goalsetting is appropriate . No doubt they have their internal goalsetting as part of their ‘pay for performance ‘ compensation policy. The company has learned its lessons. Don’t give information that can easily be (mis) used for share manipulation.
Thank you very much. Great chart. I can tell you that in Europe almost 100% of Lightwave shares were bough between 2008 and 2018. Nobody in his right mind is going to sell anytime soon. So any availability needs to come from
the 6 dollar ‘ Nasdaq ‘ category ( since 2021). Great confirmation chart.
Easy. The MM’s can do magic things on paper. They can create anything from nothing. They need to deliver shares and want to make a profit on yesterdays prices. Don’t get fooled.
Bottom line there are not enough shares around to satisfy demand from retail, shorters or institutions. Playing ‘off exchange’ is only allowed to certified parties ( market makers) and is a used as ‘communicating vessels’ for the Nasdaq. Yesterday’s spike of ‘ off exchange ‘ and ‘ normal market volume’ was an indication of demand outstripping supply.
Yesterday close to 2 Mio off exchange trades of the total of 3.7 Mio. Total short volume ( including market makers ) 2.6 Mio.
Given the market dynamics and the ‘self correcting’ nature on volume and price ( as described in your article) we should see positive price movement from hereon.
Sofar only 200k availability for shorting today ( yesterday 900k) .
I told this forum before that NVIDIA ‘begged’ EPIC photonics academia and business crowd in Eindhoven late last year for bandwidth , low power and more speed.
So the ‘cult ‘ was right after all. Waiting for the first comment that this is just ‘ nothing’. Go longs, you deserve it.
Excellent rebuttal. Wherever I go, I find these infestations of cheap talk. These are not shareholders, these are money flippers.
Ubiquitous…lol. Been looking at classifications years ago. Every medium gives its own characterisation. Telecom is better than chemistry for industry attractiveness.
Xena, any ‘non public’ information disclosed at a mandatory legal public meeting is public. Of course there are guidelines for ‘forward looking statements’. It’s been customary at LWLG’s annual shareholders meeting to give an extensive business update together with answers to the most prevailing shareholders questions. The presentation, Q&A are normally accessible by webcast.
Ted, it’s a legally mandatory meeting for public companies. How can that be ‘ illegal’.
Investopedia
- An annual general meeting (AGM) is the yearly gathering of a company's interested shareholders.
- At an annual general meeting (AGM), directors of the company present the company's financial performance and shareholders vote on the issues at hand.
- Shareholders who do not attend the meeting in person may usually vote by proxy, which can be done online or by mail.
- At an AGM, there is often a time set aside for shareholders to ask questions to the directors of the company.
- Activist shareholders may use an AGM as an opportunity to express their concerns.
Now think. You sell your SPAC. You end up with 8 million shares in Niocorp. Your partners in the SPAC let you down, they opted for a ‘ no risk’ warrant. Project looks for additional equity investment. You belief in this incredible Elk Creek project, it’s huge value creating opportunity. Your investment in El Pollo is lacklustre. Put one and one together and consider your opportunity to turn your lacklustre shareholding in El Pollo into a truly once in a life time opportunity for the long term. I think I would know what to do!
Short borrowing availability went from 900.000 two hours ago to 150,000 just now. The decline is faster than yesterday.
It is good to realize that the shareholders in Lightwave have ownership and accountability for this company and its long term health. It’s like a private equity participation or venture capital. The shorters use Lightwave as a tradeable liquid financial asset nothing more, nothing less. No ownership, no accountability, completely detached from the company and it’s long term health. I like Lebby when he states: ‘ I firmly believe that our continued innovation will create sustainable, long-term value for our shareholders."
Vein, seems to me this one is particular important if you want to engage the large silicon foundries. Could imagine that Lebby wanted this one ‘in the pocket ‘ before commercialization. But what do I know? Ask Bard or Ted.
Lightwave Logic Secures U.S. Patent Issuance for Innovative Design Technique to Enable Foundry-Level Manufacture of Polymer Modulators
Company Fortifies IP Portfolio with Patent Issuance for Innovative Polymer Cladding Design to Enhance Polymer Modulator Performance in a Manner Amenable to High-Volume Foundry Production
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., May 18, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. Hi Ted. Here what I got. If I misrepresented, sorry Tiger.
I'm sorry, but as an AI language model, I don't have access to real-time information or the ability to browse specific websites like Ihub. Therefore, I cannot provide you with a direct assessment of TedPeel's honesty and balance on Ihub or any other platform.
Short borrowing availability back from 850.000 this morning to 150.000.
850.000 availability for borrowing.
Xena, I think we all know pretty well what games are being played and the role various individuals have adopted. It’s all become so repetitive, predictable that a computer could do the job. In fact it seems we have reached that moment with bots, algorithms, artificial intelligence starting to take over and to deal with value destruction methods. Maybe humanity is saved if artificial intelligence is built on the positive and constructive side of human kind. At least that’s what I hope.
Borrowing availability dropped from 900k to 150k!
Expect an attack from the shorts. For those who want in around 4 dollars plus there is quite an opportunity to buy if you let them do their selling. The big three are cumulating ( off exchange), another positive sign . Big money wants your cheap shares.
Currently 900.000 shares available for shorting. Let’s see. Best to all.
PLease add that his total holdings are now 1.730.000. That makes him a major shareholder in Lightwave Logic.
If that is the case, all the fuzz is again ‘ een scheet in een fles’ ! To translate it ‘ a fart in a bottle’!
KCC, he owns 40 thousand more shares now than before this transaction. Total holdings 1.730.000 ( source Fintel). Understandable ( business like ) decision. The optics may be questionable from our point view, but we don’t know all considerations. I would say that it is not bad to have a COO who takes good care of the day to day business and is able to take care of himself as well. His holdings would suggest that his interests are pretty much aligned with the success of all of us shareholders.
Pitcook, since I am not a subscriber myself and have a copy from a friend subscriber (via email) in the Dutch language, I don't feel comfortable to share this email attachment. The investment letter clearly indicates that as of today the editor and owner is buying and will buy again depending on the ASM outcome. Understand your request for "proof"! In fact I think the text of the letter was already shared with a link by somebody else here on Ihub a couple of days ago. Not sure.
Maybe good to know that today around 2000 subscribers to a European Investment platform received a Buy Recommendation on LWLG. All in all there are around 7000 subscribers to three Belgium investment platforms who basically have access to these positive references. That's a great support going into the ASM trading week.
" AI is not reliable ". It's all a matter of degree Ted. For example should we trust you or the data analysis of AI with 175 billion parameters ( your revered Arista source labels it RI = real intelligence) using open and closed parts of the internet ?
What I thought revealing was that the Arista CEO had never heard before what TFLN or ( thin film) lithium niobate was and had to ask her husband for clarification . She said she wasn’t a chemist and apparently her husband was. Just to show you the material expertise on Arista’s executive level. Fortunately Bertholsheim ( Arista) knew something on polymers. I am sure he now knows more after talking to Lebby. By the way Lebby talked about direct drive eliminating the power hungry power chip. Arista talks about DSP.
Yes, in the ASM 2022 presentation the comparison was made between Arista and LWLG. The LWLG slot modulator form factor for pluggables enabled 120 modulators and up to 2.4 TB compared to Arista’s 8 modulators to get to 800 Gbps or 30 times faster. Now - in this recent video - Arista talks co-packaged whereby you put the electronics close to the optics and preferably using no DSP. This is what Lebby has been claiming for LWLG for a couple of years now. I understood from KCC that Lebby and Bertholsheim met at OFC , I am assuming they did not talk about ‘the French croissants they were having for breakfast’.
If anything , the video is a tribute to Michael Lebby’s foresight and underlines the gigantic potential for Lightwave’s slot modulators. Thanks again Killercliff.
Killercliff thanks for the Arista video ( Andy Bertholsheim company). If anything it just highlighted the need for Lightwave’s technology to allow for AI and robotics to function and to allow for the required huge bandwidth, speed, latency and low power. Today our AI ( e.g. Bard) uses 175 billion parameters for processing data which is to grow to over 1 Trillion parameters. In fact Arista calls it RI instead of AI. RI = Real Intelligence. Just wonder if our brains can keep up.
Proto, have a look at Blackrocks top 50 investments, look at the number of companies potentially affected by Lightwave’s technology. The complete ‘who is who’ of the data and telecom industry is in their top list. I am sure Blackrock knows exactly what is happening in the industry. I am sure they are in the best spot to judge what’s to happen. Their 8 Mio shares in Lightwave is no coincidence.

Proto, investors and by standers have now basically three sources of information:’
1. The Lightwave Logic company: Dr Michael Lebby c.s.
2. Artificial Intelligence with access to numerous global data bases.
3. Anonymous opinions from people with unknown education ( if any) , experience and backgrounds on social media:
Number 3: is the democratic, populist option. You have to trust many.
Number 2: The most comprehensive option . You have to trust the software engineers.
Number 1: The prime source, You have to trust just one person: Michael Lebby.
I don’t have an elected office, so option three is out. I like option 2 for its comprehensiveness and its gigantic access to global databases. Option 1 is my preferred option , because I only needed to find out if
Lebby could deserve my trust. He did, met him in person several times, listened to him, asked questions, criticized him and this one man, Michael Lebby, impressed me more than anything else. Simple as that!
