You buy at the ask to help with momentum. If you buy at the bid, you are only helping the pps drop lower, which will cause some others to sell, and hence your stock's value drops. If you buy at the ask, the pps can move up which creates positive momentum, which then entices some others to buy and your stock's value increases. It's not just about the few dollars saved by buying on the bid.
If we hit .008, I bet we fly to .01 easy
I just transferred more money into my account in case the price stays this low for a few more days. I hate that I have to wait for the funds to settle, otherwise I would be buying today. I actually believe that we close green today, and every day this week.
Thanks, mdeskm. That makes a lot of sense and certainly connects the dots for me in regards to the email he sent baseballfan. Now I have no concerns regarding a R/S since moving to the obb would certainly have an immediate impact on the pps, making a R/S unnecessary. Now I can breathe easy :)
You misunderstand my point. If baseballfan really got a response from Reid (which I don't doubt), Reid states
"The company is investing in solid people and good products. All of this is true and to see the result it proves to myself the CEO that we must bite the bullet and move up off the pink sheets and back to the bulletin board at a huge cost to the company"
What I'm trying to figure out is what could he have in mind that would be a contradiction to what he was planning (hence the "bite the bullet" remark) and why would he think it were a "huge cost to the company"? And if he needs to do these things in order to uplist, which apparently requires a minimum of $.10 for 90 days, what are the possible options? He says himself he has no control over pps.
I stated the R/S as the only option I could think of, but it doesn't mean its the only path. I just don't know what else it could be. Please enlighten me, because I don't want to see a R/S and I will be happy to believe other suggestions. I understand that the pps can move up on its own OVER TIME with fundamentals and continued financial success, but if Reid is planning a move in the short term, then what are the options? Perhaps I'm thinking out load too much. Perhaps he is referring to something new or different in regards to his buyback plan. Maybe he plans on buying a whole lot more than he initially wanted (which I hope is the case).
I guess its possible that he could do that. Going into debt to buy more of his own shares is a possibility, and if he could manage to lock up 1/2 the O/S my guess is that the short term pps would be around $.05 (just an educated guess). With continued revenue streams, and if he would quickly pay off the new debt, I wouldn't be surprised if the pps reached $0.65-$0.70 by year end, assuming 1/2 the O/S were locked up.
I'm not letting the pps scare me. I'm just interested in finding new ideas and new insight into what the company might potentially do. I don't plan on selling any of my 350K shares until $.025, and even then I'm selling just a small portion to realize profits.
I agree it would be stupid, but if Reid wants to get the price up to $.10 in a short period of time, what else can he do? I'd love to hear other ideas.
Where did the 100M number come from? Did I miss details somewhere about the buyback?
But what else can he do other than a R/S. I hope he realizes that a R/S would be a disaster and that it will only keep the price over $.10 for a short time.
I bought at .0177. I'm not worried.
Looks like we are in the midst of a reversal upward. Hope this is finally the start of the bounce for KMAG.
If that's the case, which I don't doubt, then I would think the pps has to go down until they finishing buying. But once they are done, this stock flies because all the shares they buy won't get sold anytime soon, so the shares left out there will become much more valuable due to their scarcity. I'm fine if this is what's happening, because I have 300K shares that say I'll be smiling come the Q1 report.
I couldn't agree more. That's why I can't get excited over potential until we start seeing something positive. And, no, a PR announcing that a deal is dead does not constitute being something positive.
Thank you to whoever gave me 50K at .0098
It couldn't hurt...
Just slapped the ask for another 50K.
If the MMs move the pps higher near the trigger points, everyone can simply modify their orders and set a higher price. No real risk of losing the shares unless you put a "good until cancelled" order and forget about it.
Done. 250K at .043
Well said.
Btw, Wheel of fortune quarter slots are by far THE BEST slot machines around. Problem is they are so damn popular I can never find an open machine unless it's 9am.
I'm confused. You stated that there would be 3 or 4 items this week where there would be news, according to your sources. The news you were talking about was pertaining to the USDA and not MMTC directly?
Don't tell me to do any DD on the USDA. I didn't invest money in the USDA. I invested money in MMTC. I have done too much DD on MMTC to last me a lifetime, so the only "news" I care about is anything specifically pertaining to MMTC. Anything else is irrelevant until then.
Now, are your sources telling you that there is news, specific to MMTC, coming out soon?
What are your sources saying now that no news has come out yet?
No more news needed for them to buy up shares. All the recent news is good enough reason to buy.
A small part of me is actually hoping that the pps drops a little further so I can average down even more. The bigger, more vocal, part of me wants to see this stock unleashed already :)
Anyone see the front page of cnn.com? Here is a link to the story in case you don't see it on the home page anymore:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/03/health/listeria-outbreak-investigation/index.html?hpt=hp_c1
I have averaged down along the way, including a big chunk at .002. I'm still in the red, but can live with the loss if the pps doesn't recover. Otherwise, I'm in good position to take advantage of any serious gains.
A 100M share buyback would probably raise the pps by close to 100%. It would be a strong signal for a growth company.
Not to kill anyone's buzz, but I'd like to see the financials of this merger before I get excited. What is DUTV giving up in the deal?
With all penny stocks, including this one, invest what you are not afraid of losing. This stock is speculative with potential for high returns. There are good DD links posted on the board, and you should start there. I've been in MMTC since summer of 2010 and I'll be hanging around for a few more months to see where this goes.
Whatever you do, please ignore the pumpers and bashers on this board. Far too much of that nonsense going on.
I'm fine if Jeff buys back at these manipulated prices. If he buys back more shares its a good thing. It means he is more invested in his company and will do more to make it successful, plus it would mean less shares to be manipulated and flipped by others.
If I could add one more thing to that point.
PPS will usually reflect, not only current revenue, but projected or anticipated revenue. Since the trend for revenue has been increasing, and the company looks to be making more connections and have a good chance at a few more deals in the short term, the pps should rise on the anticipated revenue stream, let alone the actual revenues.
I had to buy more down here. I'm now in 250K at avg. pps of .015. I feel this ride will be a fun one.
This is why "investors" need to stop watching the day-to-day action. The only time I care about what the daily pps looks like here is if I'm looking for a new entry point. It has been a long time since I have seen SOLID evidence of a penny stock company being productive, so I'm just parking my money in this stock and leaving it be.
They are only stealing it if you sell. No sell, no loss. No matter how hard the MMs try, and no matter how many flippers hang around, the recent news, new sales, and upcoming Q1 will force the pps north. Good things come to those who wait.
Does anyone know if the $318,000 is in addition to the $4M deal announced last week or if this is part of that deal?
Is this just an opinion?
I have seen stocks that have gone from pennies to over a dollar in the course of two or three months, with small increases almost every day. No reason why we can't either. I'm in no rush with this one.
IMO, and from what I have seen in the past, I believe this may actually a good thing. If the PPS took off, it would most likely be people buying for a quick flip, then it comes back down to lower levels. This trend looks more like MMs walking it down for accumulation, which is more a positive sign for long term PPS gains.
I'll take a red today for big gains in the upcoming weeks.
What is everyone expecting to see in the 8K? What kind of news are people expecting to see that will catapult this stock's pps?
