Thanks mmrich, this is the only green on my board today!
No holy hand grenade coming, a PR would make them look desperate. It is not needed.
Just grin and buy it!
Adding to my core, after all, that is all the Black Knight had left in the end.
As for shorts, come closer I'll bite you're legs off!
Wednesday earnings call, anticipating great numbers and another spike, maybe we catch $2+ after that. Nice run since late September.
PLUG looking good, will check out RVLT too, thanks. INUV is consolidating, but I anticipate once that is finished it will run up again, and the company is announcing earnings Wednesday after market close, expecting some bust out numbers.
You think might still move up to the low 70s?
Thanks bivladeater, I think I'll hang in here, since I still own a nice chunk of shares. Don't need your approval or permission. Some of the INO I sold in late Sept at 2.23 I invested in a stock you trip over on your way up thru the alphabet to INO. While INO is down 15% since then, the other one is up 55% even after a 10% drop Friday. And I suspect it may move up another 25 to 50% by the end of the week.
Then when the time is right, I'll bring my weak hands back here and add another 50k of free shares courtesy of investing. It's what has enabled me to grow my Roth IRA by 1800% since 2010. Your opinion of how to own this stock or to participate here is of no significance to me. I don't know why you think it should.
I love what INO is doing and the potential the company holds. But it does not dictate how much stock I hold and when. If it takes off now, I win. If it takes off when I think it will and I have more shares, I will win more. It's not for me at this point anyway, it's for my kid and grandkids.
The link to the Chinese article
http://zeenews.india.com/news/health/health-news/chinese-researchers-develop-bird-flu-vaccine_24737.html
Saw on the ticker today the Chinese say they have a vaccine for the bird flu, did they steal Inovio's technology?
Maybe life is like a box of chocolates, but I believe Inovio is going to be like slow roasted short ribs, the wait will be tortuous but the reward oh so good!
I tend to move in and out of stocks based on momentum and my perception of which way stocks are headed. I can't speak for mmrich but I suspect he does the same. That we maintain core positions in this stock is a testament to our respect for the potential of Inovio in spite of where we think it may go short term.
In order for a board to have value opposing and diverse opinions are needed. I may not agree with all that is written but I value honesty. I believe there is a stronger likelihood we see $1.80 before we see $2.20. Has nothing to do with what I believe long term, it's now that matters when it come to investing. No one here needs to apologize or move on if they have less than positive opinions about INO. They just need to honestly express their rationale, not just pump or dump to try and influence others.
With you mmrich, that block that just went thru about 10 minutes ago was mine. Like the technical landscape you pointed out. Gonna hold the INO I have for now but will start to cycle it in at $1.90 out at 2.15 with a trading chunk if the pattern holds.
Mmrich, know what you mean here, I continue to hold a core that amounts to about 12% of my portfolio. The most I held was when it ran and I don't even want to say how overboard I was then. In another breath I kick myself for not being aggressive enough with some of my current holdings close to like I was with INO. I might take it down to 8% but probably no lower. If I can't invest the rest well enough to hold a bit of this, I should quit. That being said, I could see it fall back to $1.90, if it falls below 1.80 , I feel it becomes a value play.
Never got a good price to enter PLUG. Let me know of any other stocks/boards, I'll stop by. Might try to get a board up for ALLRF one of these days, still think this will be a winner.
Hey mmrich, I feel you concern here, have pared back as well, just debating whether I want to move the risk to ONCS, it has absorbed the dilution. Would like to pick it up for less than 28 cents if I can.
Discovered a new version of heavenly ribs last week, Dietrich's Meats smoked spare ribs. After finishing them, got a second helping just by flossing! Been pushing the pile uphill by trading BTH, holding my INUV. My ALLRF remains a mystery though. Good to hear from you.
Have to discuss INO to get my response. I expect to become more aggressive with INO as the end of year approaches. I expect institutions to want to establish positions for 2014 in anticipation of HPV info. As for the Canadian company, it is AAA.TO or Allana Potash.
Outstanding information, I listened to the presentation on Wednesday and while there was no mention of INO , it certainly sounded like it wad in their wheelhouse.
Have another stock that had until December to avoid delisting, it's now at 1.70. Market beats the lottery. You could have all 6 powerball numbers and only win $100, if you don't have the right one for the powerball. I'm moving to about 50% cash for a little bit, regrouping. Getting sick of this political BS holding investors hostage every 2 months or so. Have a big chunk of my invested capital in a Canadian company. I think INO will start to cook by December.
I'm back for the night.
Can't wait! Nice recovery eh mmrich? Added some at $2, didn't get the 1.90s, thought it might slide to 1.80, but saw it getting healthy again.
Nice day, guess we'll see if it was a bounce or we will move up from here. I won't even pretend to be able to read the TA leaves on this.
Short interest BTH 81%, #1 of S&P 1500. Posted update on Seeking Alpha tonight by Bespoke Investments, sent to 35,550 followers, and it's not even close -81%, the second highest is 51%. Uh oh shorty ! It's not a question anymore of if, just when! Markets hate imbalances and this is a big one.
Mega short squeeze, BTH .

Just posted tonight on Seeking Alpha - #1 most heavily shorted stock in S&P 1500 is BTH Blyth, at 81% ! # 2 stock is at 51% ! The author, Bespoke Investments, has 35,551 followers who will be aware of this. No longer a question of if, but when.
Can you say EPIC Short Squeeze?
The vacuum created by an absence of evidence is naturally filled by reasonable doubt. There are many who want as many shares as they can get at as low a price as they can pay. The worst of this is likely done, if you have held to this point, it makes no sense to sell at this level in my opinion.
Hopefully you have some cash to buy shares if this really gets stupid. I'll be adding if it goes below 1.80, or later if it goes back above $2. Every day the science is advancing and we get that much closer to good news.
Looks like its ready for a second run. What do you think?
Wild stuff. Killdeer put their nests in the craziest places, wonder how they survived extinction.
I would definitely consider putting some in a Roth IRA, if it hits big, all the earnings will be tax free, and if you need the cash, you can withdraw your principal at any time without a penalty. So if you buy $4000 in INO stock and this bumps to $20 the $36000 can be taken out tax free at retirement or for a house, and the 4000 can be taken out any time you need it, without a penalty. Check it out, the $4000 has to come from post tax dollars though.
The reality is, if the HPV results are positive we move to $5 in a hurry and we will be severely undervalued at that. If the HPV results fail, we are back to a buck for awhile and we are back on the uphill grind.
Never been to the Dakotas, but if I was walking the tracks and saw a dude coming at me with a maul and a pipe wrench, I would either have given him a wide berth or asked him for a match, if I figured I could outrun him. From what I am told it is either windy and freezing cold or windy and freakin hot. What's the strangest thing you ever found or saw?
Reading about NFL team with MRSA infections made me wonder if this is something Inovio is looking at. The answer, of corse is yes, per this November 2012 PR.
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/inovio-expands-synthetic-vaccine-intellectual-property-license-with-university-of-pennsylvania-2012-11-14
What aren't these guys doing?
Their intellectual property library is stunning.
You are the voice of reason mmrich. I've carved back my position 2/3rds over the past week. Yes, I risk missing big news but have been around long enough to know if you buy on such hope, hope is all you will be left with.
If it does fall back though, at some point I'll take a chance on rebuilding my base, so I might buy into weakness. But there are other places to be short term so no plans for that for another month or so.
For those long and holding, I understand the rationale. I love the science and the potential, but the market seldom rewards investment that remains purely speculation (until we get HPV results, validation is not confirmed). When it is you will be rewarded. Hopefully I will have enough of a stake when that happens to make it worth my while as well.
Great time to get back in technically and now the new information about the persistence of shorted shares may ignite this again and for lots more. I got back in also in the 11.90 range wished I had had more free cash to buy more.
ALLRF .granted mining license, PPS at .46 likely to double in next 2 months.
Never mind.
See my other comments for my rationale. The article pins INO's success almost entirely on the partnership, which demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the company and it's pipeline. You do not see that?
And your choice of names, not mine, just validating. :>)
Agreed, but royalties and ramp up payments are reasonable for drugs that were barely on the radar prior to the partnership. I just thought the article focused INO 's value as being entirely dependent on Roche, which is not true.
It makes INO look dependent on Roche partnership for success. Wrong. It says all of INO work is early stage. Wrong. HPV is near completion Phase II. It says dilution is likely when INO is currently funded into 2015. Wrong.
Your name suits you. Right.
Another hatchet job Motley Fools article, says Roche Deal is heavily weighted to Roche, INO is "exclusively early stage " . Idiots.
Yeah, Allana up more than 10% on 300k shares, I am surprised that we have not seen a bigger move, but I expect to see some articles pop over the next week of so to bring more attention. Great news though for sure! Might just keep adding at these levels.
INO holding on today.
Holding this for now, INO gets harder for me to trade any more since the game of musical chairs is too risky.
My little potash mine got its permit today ALLRF, should see a nice move up and it's a longer term multi bagger. Diversifies my holdings to include some international. Worth a look, and check out allanapotashblog.org for good info. Good luck all.
I think it may run up to $2 on the earnings call, But still nice to see it here. Picked some more up got a fill at 1.36 I didn't expect.
C
Feels dumb to reply to my own post from last night but I think it is important to restate that a negative full court press may be underway and today's action may be the start of both a biotech correction and that will press on some of the most promising of small biotechs in order to free up shares for the institutions and hedge funds to gobble up.
You might try to trade out, have already done so, or you may opt to hold on. Just remember that while the PPS may fluctuate, the science not only remains intact but is being reinforced with every new study, each new trial, each new partnership. We were in the high $2s before the Roche deal and that deal has undoubtedly set off a reaction among other large pharmas that they better look deeper at what Inovio, it's vaccines, their delivery and intellectual property portfolio represents. Hope you have some dry powder and if it does fall due to market pressure you are able to take advantage.
Just opened a position here at $9.16. This is too good a company to be beaten down this much. Figure we could see a 25% pop by early December. And if they ever decide to aggressively pursue a school entrant format, that could be a game changer. But I won't believe it till I see it.
