Thank you Pepsi!! We rest our case :)

Thanks Pete. That's exactly why I posed the question. Not as a complaint but out of cusiosity.(Maybe they want a surprise attack on some "shorts" to put icing on the cake :)
Kelt
I have no problem with that thinking :)
Kelt
She's to gorgeous.You can't afford her :)
Kelt
I look forward to Monday but why the secrecy now after trading hours if they "are" PR'ing Monday. They know they can openly discuss it without violating SEC rules?
Maybe the news itself will help explain things.
Kelt
My thoughts exactly.Thank You!!
Kelt
Hi Pete.Good to see you back.Hope all was well in Co.
I am a smoker who would like to quit.It is the individual smoker's "genes" or make up that determines the level of demand for nicotine. Some are light, occasional smokers and some are heavy smokers and then those in between.
I believe that going from a regular cigarette to a VLN cig. will likely cause the smoker to increase the rate of smoking to achieve the level of nicotine "demanded".That being said,I think the intermediate levels of cig's with lessening levels of nicotine would be useful to "step down" from level to level until gradually getting to the VLN level and quit from there.
Kelt
Can you fill us in? (I LOVE spinach!!!)
Kelt
Is anybody on this board going to be at the shareholder meeting Sat.?
Kelt
Oh thank God you said it's only temporary!!!
I don't know how long I could stand it being on a street corner holding a "Will Work for Food" sign ;)
Kelt
But you CAN come out feeling "Good" about yourself :)
(As you hold your "Will Work for Food" sign on the street corner)
Kelt
Let's see how this plays out then.
Good luck to us all.
Kelt
If you look at the CLSN debacle last January you will see what I am talking about.Hold bad news and wait till the last minute.
I hope our trust is in better hands than that.
Kelt
They can discuss anything they want after market closes on Fridays. They don't have to PR anything before hand. They do however have to PR the relevent information before market opens on the following Monday.
Discussing unknown/unreleased news on the weekend is not considered insider info as long as it is released before the market opens on the following business day.
Kelt
Going back to your post #1861.It sounds like they aren't planning on releasing anything until after the SHM.
Here's the quote: "They told us AGAIN to review their June 10 press release link until they could speak at the shareholder meeting."
Notice "until they could speak at the SHM"
And according to their previous statement (your post #1864):
"Joseph Pandolfino, 22nd Century’s CEO explained, “In addition to a virtually worldwide agreement that we are in the process of concluding with one company"
Here we are told back in June that they are "concluding"a virtually worldwide agreement" not that they are just "in negotiations",but in fact in the conclusion process.
Either this company is headed "WAY NORTH" or "WAY SOUTH" based on their SHM and subsequent PR regarding the worldwide dist.agreement.If the WW agreement is a done deal, great,UP WE GO.If it fizzled out ,Down we go.Depending on how long any "bad news" was known and not released, here goes another lawsuit by disgruntled shareholders for feeling mislead.
I have seen this "waiting until the last minute" before releasing news behavior with other companies.Although I am heavily weighted in this company I feel that issuing at least a reassuring PR earlier before the "deadline" would be most considerate.Nothing fancy, just "XXII is pleased to report that everything is on track and we look forward to the upcoming SHM" etc.etc.
Kelt
My thoughts as well.I've seen it many times as well.(You would think I would have become smart enough to keep some "cash on hand" for when these things happen ;/ )
Kelt
Thanks for the correction. It still seems that according to that 6/10 PR (and what you have just posted)that they are still standing behind this part that says :
"The Company will greatly expand the distribution of its highly differentiated, super-premium cigarettes, RED SUN®
and
MAGIC®
brands in the second half of 2013. As reported on April 16, 2013, Goodrich Tobacco granted a Dutch company
exclusive distribution rights to its DUTCH MAGICâ„¢ brand in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, known as
Benelux. Henry Sicignano III, president of Goodrich Tobacco, stated, “Our goal is to have similar distribution agreements
for our brands in at least 10 of the top 20 international tobacco markets by year end 2015."
Kelt
According to one of his readers it is for this week.I'm not in a position to agree or disagree.I'm just going by what I have been told.I won't post his name without permission (respected poster here as well)
If your source differs, well,we will just have to wait and see I guess.
Kelt
According to my sources of info,XXII had agreed to an interview with Vangorilla for this week.It seems logical that the interview questions will involve the news that we are waiting for as well. That being the case,XXII will need to PR the news before Vangorilla publishes his interview in Seeking Alpha.(Or before they have the interview for that matter)
Kelt
Just a little manipulation on very low volume.Only a few "kids" on the playing field.
The vast majority are sitting silent waiting for news.
I think the silence on this board reflects the mood as well.
Open to other opinions though.
Kelt
I am probably wrong here but the sellers could have been selling last week when the bids were up to 1.27.
Now , today, retail buyers are holding for news. Not selling.
It seems (especially on a Monday) with imminent news coming, the sellers were trying to create a mini bear raid but didn't have enough shares to sell to create "Panic" to pull it off.
Those who are waiting for news are all in now.Sellers will have trouble dropping the price much as "buyers" will come back in if the SP drops enough to be too tempting.
JMHO
Kelt
Not complaining about the stock, just can't believe no one else is talking this close to an expected major event.
Kelt
Big week coming up and nothing to talk about?
Jeesh. :/
Kelt
That was the purpose of my question. They can announce and discuss the "PR" after market hours as long as they PR it before the market opens without violating SEC rules.
Kelt
Any guesses whether we get a PR or not, before the shareholder mtg.Saturday?
Kelt
Keep this in mind with the expanded pipeline that CTIX has now.
Inovio has partnered with Roche with one of their products for 10M upfront.
They are obviously sacrificing one product on the altar of "partnership" to keep their pipeline funded and moving forward without dilution.
CTIX could be setting up to do something similar.
Kelt
Ditto me too would you!!!
(I'm tired of "kavetching" about missed opps!!!)
Kelt
Did I use the right term,"kavetch" or should I refer to the "group" as "Yentas"?
I'll have to defer to your expert analysis.I understand there is a difference between the two, however slight.
Kelt
Teedlum,I'm sure you have many emails of friends on the boards, including mine. Please use us as needed.
Kelt
There would be no CTIX without Dr.Menon.Leo does not "design" drugs.
The "creative financing" by Leo is the oxygen that CTIX needs.Dr.Menon is the life blood.
Many want to know how Leo will get financing for upcoming events. They forget how creative he is at obtaining financing.
For Leo to divulge what he intends to do would be to give a "head's up to his targeted sources".It would diminish his bargaining position. They would be ready and waiting instead of not ready and at Leo's "mercy".
Leo knows how to play Poker and guard his hand. Most investors are not very good at Poker.
Leo and Dr Menon have proven beyond any reasonable doubt their expertise and absolute commitment to shareholder value.
We can whine and kavetch all we want for Leo to tip his hand for us and we should also expect the "tight-lipped" answer we get.
Either we have learned to trust management to know what they are doing and be patient,or we have not.But either way we won't get to see their "Poker hand".Get used to it.
We can guess and speculate and postulate and estimate but so far "WE" have been wrong in figuring what Leo is doing and how he is doing it.That's why I don't pay a lot of attention to posts saying what will have to be done. They've all been wrong so far. :)
Kelt
Excellent way of looking at it.(BTW I sent you a Q on your email when you get a chance)
Kelt
Shalom :)
Kelt
I don't profess to be a financial genius but I don't think investors realize the genius behind what Leo has done to date with all the trials going on (gratis) and the Pymx aq.as well as the rest of the financing deals that have cost US NOTHING to Date.
People need to give credit where credit is due (and be grateful) and realize that they are investors and not the movers and shakers here.
Kelt
I think you get my point?
Kelt
Hell yes!!! Why not!!!!
Kelt
The only thing unrealistic is that comparison of 18MM to the net worth of the company.
9.3% debt is a "non existent" debt.Especially after 10's of millions have been spent on trials by other entities.(Add those to the "bottom line" as "value added".
Kelt
18mm debt on a 192mm market cap = 9.3% debt.
I don't think there is a living being on the planet with
a lower debt to worth ratio.
If there is they're in the "Drug Cartels".
Again,,,,,GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Kelt
Reposting #41856 for those who deserve it
Listening to financing issues and POC angst reminds me of the "Old Testament" accounts of the Israelites after being rescued from Egypt.
There they are, free, finally, after miracle after miracle, and yet they still complain "God led us out here to die!!!".
So,,,God gives them mannah.,,,Not good enough,,,God gives them Quails,,,not good enough.
What does it take to satisfy the "unsatisfiable".
Leo has gotten the CTIX drugs into a myriad of trials ,,at no cost to CTIX.
Pfizer is in bed with CTIX at BI.
No dillution to date.
Pymx trials back on schedule,,,No Dilution.
Prurisol being scheduled for trials,,,No dilution.
At what point do investors actually say "thank-you??"
At what point do investors actually say "You know much more than I do and according to your track record,I trust your leadership??
Give me a break!!
Stop Nit-Picking.
Kelt
$18MM deficit on a 20Bn buyout??
Go figure
Kelt
We try to give food for thought ;)
You catch my drift very well!!
