NOOOOOO you are thinking exactly as I do and I have no ballot yet and it was supposedly sent three weeks ago. I am going to demand them send me one express tomorrow. BTW, the guy on the phone didn't seem very helpful, almost intentionally and was not your typical friendly salesperson you usually speak to, maybe this is me being paranoid and he was just trying to be professional, idk
Lol the professionalism of your post haha
Does anyone have a copy of the etrade documents just in case I can't get in? I STILL don't have a copy and supposedly one was sent three weeks ago. SOmething smells fishy, I hope i get it soon and can't wait to check the post date on the thing.
If I voted over the phone, will that give me additional time?
I'm with Voodoo, call me crazy but it just seems like there are so many opportunities to screw us from getting in on this plan. Assuming it goes through, I am starting to think it is a good thing, in fact, the share price being so low might be a ploy to get us to vote no, just a thought. Unless it is standard, the actual ballots have an opt out box, plus, the instructions are not very clear on how to go about voting, they sure don't make it easy. The fact we get nothing if we don't vote is also another thing I find extremely odd. So if this plan is all crap, they are sure doing a good job of not helping us all out. And timeline of the voting process when many of us have no ballots? WTF
Anyway, maybe these are all procedurally correct, our stock will turn to a useless bunch of numbers but I am optimistic on this one.
:+)
Loving this stock, been awhile since I made some green
I agree with you but at some point, people need to get paid and I see a lot of people being paid too much or not enough in our society. Take a laborer, he works harder, many times bearing weather conditions, dirty jobs etc. and is in my opinion many times being taken advantage by lack of opportunity. Meanwhile, someone that got educated or caught some breaks gets to drive to work in their big suv, brew some coffee in the office and chat with the co-workers for the first 15 minutes before even doing any work.
Yea but.... functionalists say they are creating nice things in order to benefit themselves financially (based on desire) and in return, society benefits. Many issues have come up of course with this model and good advertising can beat the better product, as seen in Govt. Money = power and ability to advertise better as well, as seen in Govt.
Now with digital products, if no one pays, they don't get paid and money as we know it can be a strong motivator, especially in our society. Some would still produce but it might not be as good, or would be different. Plus, wouldn't you want those that are good to get something? I do, I just think they get too much. They might make some at music shows and such but movies, games, computer programs are different, they need to get paid. Just like R & D for pharmaceuticals keeps drug prices high, especially initially, even though the drugs themselves are cheap to make.
Look at M$ Office vs. open office, it is a lot better, I have tried both and prefer the microsoft version. Maybe, perhaps, there could be a time in which it becomes free, maybe after the creator gets paid xxxx amount of dollars more than it cost to make, and the same would go for the updates, once an update comes out, total costs are calculated and then the creator can get paid only so much after that point. Labor hours and fair hourly wages factored in, but what is fair? Our society doesn't roll this way, and it gets complicated.
Now with that said, in my utopean society, people would do what they want to do, based off of their skills and interests to benefit society. There are many problems with this of course, and those taking less than desirable jobs would probably make the most in this type society. Some people would want to be artists and might actually suck, in which case, society would have to vote or something to decide. Gets really complicated...
Very good point, more of a socialistic approach which I'm all for if done correctly but unfortunately, we live in a society that capitalizes on everything unfortunately.
I actually totally agree. I love spotify too and if I had a smart phone, I would seriously consider paying a subscription for it. Of course.
Now another approach is to make software much more affordable, yes, you would have people download it illegally as well but I think more people would pay .10 cents a song if that were the price, instead of $1 per song which I think is just too much. I do however, have a problem with the capitalism the way it currently is and think it is a very unfair system that not a lot of people realize. IMO, labor is labor. If you work, you should be paid. If you work harder, have a more stressed out job, work more hours, you should get paid accordingly. If you play games for a living, you shouldn't get paid millions..... ugg that is my spin, which is somewhat different than the current model. Call me jealous, in which case you can but I also don't think any of us should have any more than reasonable sustenance until world starvation is abolished that is the result of $$ issues. And since most of us don't want to die, we should also prioritize and pull resources and labor together to work on figuring out any means necessary to keep us living healthy, disease free lives as long as possible; yes, I am a dreamer.
I actually really like the idea of spider, just think if this really is the next big thing? Obviously, no one knows but think of a company like google, yahoo, aol etc. One day, people thought nothing of them and gambled on them. Now, with that said, there is no guarantee spyder is the next big thing but it seems like it could generate a lot of business/money.
Head and shoulders ;) We sure have a large mountain to climb to get there in a hurry but would be monumental.
Thanks for confirming, although I was 99% sure that is what it meant, I just wanted to make sure. The guy explained it a little, however, he did not tell me, that I won't get my shares/money if i click it, not sure if he is legally allowed to give his opinion, probably not.
Just called, they take vote over the phone but you still have to fax in the documents. They give you a fax number with instructions to put attention to your account number
I have two accounts so i have to send two copies in.
Why would they have an opt out on the ballot? Weird... is this standard?
This whole thing seems shady, but on the plus side, it feels like we might actually get something, due to it seeming like they are trying to screw us from agreeing and reorganizing....Unless, they don't want it to be accepted, due to justice not being served but i doubt it.
I want to vote but etrade didn't know of any ballots. I am going to call them.
What gives? Mine haven't and i have etrade... of course, I didn't vote yet.
Wow, it's about time I made money on a stock :) Up 75$ haha ANd thanks everyone for the positive support and DD that I piggybacked off of, let's hope for a nice ride from here.
Guess I was wrong about dead cat bounce lol Wut happened!?
Ok, i will ask to be redirected to corp. actions. Thanks
Thanks for the reply. If/when I get my ballots in the mail, I will post.
Guys, I just messaged etrade (live assistant), he said if there was a ballot available it would be under alerts and couldn't help me, what gives?
So you got this ballot in the mail? I'm thinking I might just do mine over the phone. Do I just call customer service?
Or, we see the dreaded dead cat bounce if we don't get news
Given that the share price is so low, I guess investors would have an issue. I can't read the article, could you sum it up?
Why, massive sell-off at that point? I guess I will set my limit at .68-.69 cents then
I am fairly optimistic here, I was just enjoying the ebay thing, especially when I keep thinking that it allows me to throw some more here. And hopefully I can get a few bucks here or on another play so I can "scout" some more stocks to play. I really do need to find a job though lol
Weird.... that was my buy btw
Sorry to hear that; I was trying to make a joke, my jokes are kinda lame generally so I can see why no one laughs hehe
Haha - That I don't have 10k or a wife ;) I was talking to a guy yesterday that truly got taken to the cleaners , came home one day and all his furniture was gone lol
I actually bought for once at what I hope is the bottom, even though small position, it is a change from the usual.
I don't have 10k and I have no wife, coincidence?
I have been doing ebay for some shares. One thing about stocks down under, they may seem like the greatest thing ever, once and awhile they are but the odds are against you. Hopefully this is different and I have said this before and many others have and we have been wrong more times than right. Just keep that in mind with these dream stocks.
Let's hope this is one of those drop low then rise like a phoenix.
I'm pretty sure i get 10$ transaction fees, what gives? Do you need a certain amount of money for that?
Forget all of this, when are we getting our money and how much :P To be perfectly honest, at first I was expecting something good to come out of this mess, that is why I am here. I took my last bit of penny stock money plopped it down and crossed my fingers. At this point, I am not expecting anything. I hope we get something but if we break even and reemerge with a new co. and have a chance at rising, I am cool with that. If on the other hand, this is all a reemergence in a shell that ends up at a dead end, I can't say I will be surprised. I think and hope the former is the truth but although I care, I really don't care anymore....
No, I meant congress (and wasn't sure if there were other parties exempt).
Yea but, if I am not mistaken, some are exempt from insider laws which I think is not at all fair.
I personally agree that the system is way too overcomplicated and needs more simplification.
And I'm sure they aren't happy with the stock at these levels, so, what I am saying is, I'm sure the company is going to get it back up there ASAP and hopefully it isn't a r/s.
All in my opinion.
I hope so, I currently have 11,750 and hope this changes the game for me.
Ack! I was afraid to buy in out of the gate and it cost me. fortunately, I didn't get excited and buy in higher, got in at .041, should have gotten in at .040 but order wouldn't go through. I don't know why etrade takes so long to buy them, if the ask is .040 and I order at .40 and I refresh 5 seconds later and it is still .040 i should have shares at .040! Wanted another 6000 but got 5850.. Oh well, not that big of a deal.
