No reason to lock shares now, as I understand it, shares can't be shorted on the grey mkt.
Question for those of you who had access to L2 information on UOIP before the suspension/halt: were there MM's with meaningful short positions at the time of the suspension/halt?
If anyone knows, how will their short positions (if any) be reconciled when grey market trading begins?
Just a point of curiosity.
Thanks for letting us know, but would you elaborate on your conversation please?
Thanks for your input....always interesting.
Thanks ytse.
ytse - has your patent lawyer daughter looked at the UOIP case? If so, what does she think?
Hi UOIP'ers….a very pleasant and typical 60F, light rain here on the Olympic Peninsula....great place to retire, AJ, not that you'd want to move again.....
I see that's the latest sale....sorry you had to let them go, it sure dropped the price....
Great response, LMAO......
Happy birthday, AJ.....funny joke, but don't tempt fate...…
Good morning to you and all UOIP longs from the Olympic Penninsula!
The indices were all up - it was a good day for stocks....UOIP had a dip but came back pretty well.
Thanks, Phil!
Great to "see" you, AJ....
Ice - for sure, consult the broker you want to move to, don't rely on info here, as good as it is.....brokers have specific and differing rules as I discovered when Scottrade was purchased by TD Ameritrade. TD lets me buy or sell UOIP but won't allow the purchase of HMLSF because it is a Canadian ETF.
I enjoy hearing from our chartists, it adds an interesting component to the discussion....thanks for letting us know what you're thinking.
Hi jbbb - my post was a joke, an attempt to lighten things up. We're all in UOIP together, everyone's input is appreciated, let's continue to share and help those with questions and provide information when we get it...
Overall, this is the most informative, fun and supportive board I've seen, love it!
Thanks, EB and FB! Got it.
Thanks for the post, what was the quote taken from?
Thanks for your posts - I don't understand what you do but find it interesting....
Hi psych....by that, do you mean it is about to drop?
If not, that would save a trip....
Perhaps the clerk's office could tell you if you'd be allowed to read the transcripts if you called them?
I dunno….trendtrader and psychotrader are doing pretty well calling moves.....
PT, enjoying and learning from your posts, please continue to keep us informed...
Thanks for the updates, Phil!
Thanks for the idea but I'm retired, can't start a Roth, AFAIK. I did rollover a 401k into an IRA, correct, and that's where the bulk of my UOIP shares are.
Most of my shares are in my IRA rollover....but thanks for the tip!
Actually, for myself as a very latecomer to UOIP (early May), if a settlement or whatever happens is pushed back into mid 2019 it will save me $$$$ in taxes.....
LOL - I stumbled across a great way to bake salmon recently....melted butter, dill, onion powder and garlic salt missed and pured over the filets before cooking....
Interesting post - what's your projection or projections of eventual pps for your three alternative outcomes?
Hi GB, glad to do it, sent her the link to what I think is a great primer on the situation:
https://www.eprfinancialnews.com/2018/08/03/the-saga-continues-between-unifiedonline-chanbond-the-13-cable-companies/
I recommend that anyone who hasn't already read it, do so.
The author's email address is mcmhern@yahoo.com if anyone wants to send her information on UOIP. I will when I have more time.
Maybe among some reading this board, but the last buy was 55K shares, so probably not in the wider universe of people following UOIP.
That's a pretty good article IMHO......a good one to send to friends that are considering buying in....thanks for searching it out and posting it.
Agree 100%.....but thanks!
Whomever it is, the volume is pretty low....
Keep us posted with your thoughts.....I'm listening (to steal a phrase from Frasier)….
I didn't buy a million shares at .06 but I did buy a lot - I've thought a lot about how the news that led to the bump in price gave me the confidence to buy more - and I really wonder if I'd be buying today as it drops. I should adopt a George Costanza approach to investing and do the opposite to what I did.....lol. I still maintain that the legal team working on the case has confidence and they will prevail.
Credit where credit is due - you called it!
Great post and sentiments, totally agree. I love following this board and reading the disparate opinions. My take on the eventual outcome is that the law firm representing UOIP is very competent, they are working on contingency and are therefore confident of winning a large settlement. The rest of it is a "black box" for me....but that doesn't keep me from following the board at every opportunity. Thanks to all that make it happen.
