I'm not sure I fully understand your logic. I feel that if the Japan economy shrank the worse since 1994 then Yen buyers would be seeking investment elsewhere, thus depreciation of the Yen ensues(cross/jpy up). Of course this can all be skewed by risk aversion in which people would liquidate cross/jpy longs. I took the trade out of speculation that the Yen will be sold...pure speculation, or better stated, a guess.
I finally closed out my short usd/jpy at flat. Out of curiosity and speculation, I opened an aud/jpy long at the current levels.
ohh...gotcha.
He's up almost 100%
U.S. Holiday is dragging the market along...should speed up on the Asian open
Still short usd/jpy from friday.
grow...with care. I think to make any stable income in the forex market, you need reasonable capital to support your operations. Just think if you had 50,000 and could make trades often as small as 50k or even one standard lot. It wouldn't be hard to pull in a couple of hundred dollars or more a day, and you would have the padding to support you if you took some losses.
I'm going to check with forex.com and see what they say. I'll report my results. Also, forex.com kindof pissed me off a little. I had fixed spreads with them, I guess they are doing away with that and they "upgraded" me to fractional spreads according to their words. It seems like their spreads widen EVERY time the market moves...not a lot, but they are all over the place.
Yep, I sent a message to daiello over at tfxh this morning around 11:00am also, if you can answer the question below, shoot for it as i've never had this situation.
"Ireland "Could Default on Debt" UK Sunday Times. ouch...should help out our JPY longs! There's a lot of bad news floating around this weekend, and G7 didn't mention JPY, should wreak havoc on the cross/jpy long positions! So, we should have a good week. I'm curious to see the open later today. What happens if the market gaps down below a take profit? Will it close at the current market price, or at the price the TP is set at?"
lmao...you make the trading days good even if they are bad. It's always good to get a laugh out of the day!
USD/JPY just made a massive gap down...and fell well out of the cloud. Could be a good day for me if this continues, as I still hold 200k short in my live account from 91.88. Hopefully this holds out as my stupid broker don't open until 5p.m. est. sigh...another reason to love Oanda huu?
Good luck with your trading as well. Hang out on the boards....I learn more from here, and other message boards than anywhere else(other than actual trading of course)
I was just reading about that. Looks like Ireland has issues! CDS's are a big factor in the problem today. Nobody can even guess the amount of the CDS's in the market....
check out www.babypips.com it's a great place to start learning. If connections are an issue for you, regarding using ea's you can always get an ea hosting account....so that the ea runs from a server rather than your computer. I have never tried that, I run it from my own computer which is a satellite connection and it works fine. If it's calling for bad weather, I turn the ea off for the day.
There's a live statement that includes FAPTurbo results here:
http://www.thefxhub.com/index.php?pageid=statement
Just have to weed through the manual trades.
I would probably trade a lot better in the event of:
"we should make it more interesting....specify leverage & max lot size....keep ya on a leash....now that would make it interestng ;)~"
I actually made most of my profit on reasonable risk, however, now i'm trading crazy. I'd like to see 1mil before the end of the contest! lol...that's balls-to-the-wall! Have fun at Chucky Cheese sounds like a good time! lol Special servers are for special people. You seem rather special, so i'm glad they hooked you up with a special server!
Eww...I have NASTY drawdown. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen if I continue to trade like that. I'll be joining ataglance at the bottom of the totem pole.
bah1. I do use fapturbo as a supplement to my trading. You should take the time to learn about trading manually before jumping into any type of automatic trading, else you will be very disappointed in the program. The specific one you mention, fapturbo has traded very well for me on a limited basis. I think that if one were to just leave it on all the time, it would do well. I run it at my discretion, when I feel the market won't be volatile. Fapturbo may ream your account if volatility sets in while it's running. Either way, I think it works fantastic and would recommend it for anyone, just don't fully expect what is claimed on their site as those account were made with substantial risk....which I don't recommend. If you do use it, I wouldn't use it on anything other than EUR/GBP....don't use it on eur/chf, usd/cad, or eur/usd.
lol..love the holidays! My contest account is sitting at 127995.95
Very good indicator for cross/jpy i prefer the original settings over the adjusted though. they are 9,26,52
Check it out on the daily. It's sitting right at the bottom of the cloud, I guess today will either be a confirm or deny. I prefer the deny side of the deal.
now that I got stopped out, it'll probably tank like a rock. lol
Stopped out on the eur/jpy shorts...took a pretty big hit. Still in the + overall so I can't complain I guess.
added to the eur/jpy short at 117.62
I didn't know you were a fellow ichi user.
I VERY rarely hold a position until TP. I just put an exaggerated one in for when i'm away.
Already ate my dessert. Added a short eur/jpy at 117.41 and 117.53 this morning...also short eur/usd at 1.2849. Hanging in there
just added a eur/usd short at 1.2823
Perfect place for a short. I have 200k short at an average around 90.50 or so. Looking for the 87's-88's
I updated your permissions, you should see the ea section in the forum area
Total unprofitable of 2

I post any coding I do in a private forum at tfxh. If you register over there, i'll give you access to it. Same goes for anyone else here.
Not trying to be a d!ck or anything, but I had to lock the statement down to registered users only. The search engine robots keep generating requests to it and i don't want it eating up processor time, or bandwidth. If you are registered, there will be a link to the statement on the main menu bar.
Speaking of that, there are a couple more eur/gbp EA trades on my statement. All of them profitable but one.
What i'm trying to do is trade risky so that I can get enough padding to lower the risk and make reasonable consistent returns. So as(if) the balance gets higher, i'll back the risk off...such as my current usd/cad trade with a good stop in place that won't wreck the account.
The live statement is at:
http://www.thefxhub.com/index.php?pageid=statement
Everyone else is rather quiet. I'm guessing Don has about 450k in his account by now.
YES! TFXH Statement is back online. Stupid a$$ MT4 publishing system is a piece of junk.
