CAN I GET ONE TOO????
DOES A MYSTERIOUS WHITE POWDER COME TO MIND??????.......LOL
LOL.....MBR
LOL....Investorman
Normally I look at news from both perspectives and have an even keel approach to such things. Having said that, I can not see how this news could be construed in any other way but good news......It keeps 55 million shares out of the float for at least the next 12 months.
Supposedly he has sold out of his position.....
You guys are still talking too that guy??? Pumper-Dumper that is all he is, so why bother wasting your breath or time with a guy like that?
Cricket......Cricket.....
Interesting.....We have one more MM this morning and volume has picked up as a result........
Kind of paints the same picture that the article I posted late last week did.
MisterEc.....We were both sleep-typing.........LOL
That was MrBankRoll that was questioning.......and I meant no offence to you.
MisterEC,
I Don't have to justify myself to you or anyone else......you take it for what it is worth.........One of my last purchases was on 10-17-2002 @ .06 for 7000 shares to round out my holdings at that time. Look it up....I'm sure with your vast knowledge you will be able to find at least that trade.....LOL
Jmap.....Luckily I haven't needed to call yet.....thanks for the heads up.
MBR......I know you are smarter than that.......those are closing prices and do not reflect where the share price traded on any one day.....LOL
Later all have a good weekend.
ROFLMAO....INVESTORMAN
That has been my gripe from the get go.....whether you own 1 share or own many, many share like Mark....IMHO you deserve the right to bitch if the company does not do what they say they will do......By the way on a side note, my wife still mentions how much money I have (LOST) by not selling about once a week or so...........Actually she doesn't mention it, she usually brings it up when she is angry.......You know, you dumb A----- we could have been drinking margaritas for the rest of out lives if you...........LOL
Winning....but want to win more........greedy.....LOL
Sorry just checked make that 1998.....Yeah....I guess......back in the day bought from .10 - .12 (pre-split).......and then last year bought a bunch at .06.........I haven't made jack till I sell......LOL
Well cost basis wise I'm somewhere in the .05 range with both what I bought in '99 and a year or so ago........My main issue is all of my shares are in regular trading accounts, so Uncle Sam will extend his greedy little hand. I don't like giving Sammy five figure checks at the end of the year if I could help it.......LOL
Raising hand very slowly.....(SHAME)....LOL
If and when that happens, it will be the direct result of a material event not some pumpers, and or swing traders giving us a lift. When the time comes to fly I am sure you will know the difference.....as for me I am still the stupid one sitting on the sidelines for these runups.....LOL
If you notice those Peaks (highs) lower with every event. Four events yet with every one the high is lower than the one before it....hopefully one of these days we break that cycle.
Very much doubt the news article had anything to do with it. Just the typical fall back to .60......IMHO
COMMONAME,
Understand that Best Buy, Staples, Compuserve, and all others sell many other things than computers. For instance Best Buy makes far more money on it's sales on TV's than it does on computers or peripherals. Do HRCT's sub's sell TV's, Washing machines, dryers, stereos , PDAs, speakers, Records, DVDs, Movies, ETC.??????
For one to say DELL would have no impact is foolish. Typically the Chinese consumer is much more frugal than there U.S. counterparts (just take a look at the savings rate).......therefore if they could save money by directly ordering a DELL why would they spend the extra money for the same or LESS in many cases machine????? Answer: They wouldn't! Re-read the article because that is what I sensed from it.
SMIC Heads For March Nasdaq Listing
By Paul Denlinger
Shanghai-based SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp.) is heading for a March listing on Nasdaq. The company hopes to raise US$1 billion in the IPO, which it plans to invest in manufacturing capacity expansion. The underwriters are believed to be Deutsche Bank and CSFB.
SMIC already has won sizable orders from Infineon of Germany for DRAM chips, as well as from Japan, which puts it in a stronger position to compete internationally. Earlier this month, Motorola injected an 8" silicon wafer fab in Tianjin into SMIC, taking a minority position in the new company which is driving China's chip fab growth.
In December, TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp.), which is the world's largest chip fab, and is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, sued SMIC in a northern California court for intellectual property violations. This was widely seen as a move to prevent SMIC going public in the US.
SMIC has borrowed US$285 million from China Construction Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China to increase its current 8" silicon wafer capacity. The company, which was founded in 2000, now has three 8" silicon wafer fabs. The company has a close relationship with China's four major banks, and Jiang Mienheng, son of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, acts in an advisory capacity to the company. Winston Wang, son of Taiwan's plastics magnate Wang Yung-ching and Neil Bush, younger brother of the US president, are also involved with the company. The first loan the company took from the Chinese banks was in the amount of US$480 million in December 2001.
The company is now planning to make three 12" silicon wafer fabs in Beijing. Projections are that SMIC's China operations this year will put it ahead of Singapore's Chartered Semiconductor, making China the world's third largest chip fab maker. Five years ago, China had almost no domestic manufacturing capacity.
The chip industry has rebounded from the latest deflation cycle, and Morris Chang, chairman of TSMC, yesterday revealed that the company planned to invest US$2 billion in capital expenditures during the current cycle. The main question is, where will he invest the money, in China or Taiwan? TSMC has received approval to invest in China, but because of political considerations (the Taiwan government is a shareholder in the company), has held back.
SMIC's aggressive expansion means that the window of opportunity is closing for TSMC in China.
Lucky LOL....The one they touchy-touchy didn't mean it came from a HRCT sub, and just because they touchy-touchy the first one doesn't mean they won't order the second online if they could save money. By the way last time I checked you could order a DELL computer by picking up the phone......I know this because I bought a new one this way two weeks ago....LOL
TIN......I believe the right question is......Will DELL force Legend, IBM, HP, and others to abandon the store concept (HRCT) and go to a direct marketing campaign similar to DELL's in order to compete???
Not a good sign that DELL has made such headway into China with their direct business model. The fact that Legend is already feeling the pain does not bode well.
BAD NEWS.....VERY BAD IMHO
Dell Putting Pricing Pressure On Legend In China Domestic Market
By Paul Denlinger
Dell's direct-to-consumer business model has worked well in China, and is putting pressure on Legend Computers, China's leading domestic computer maker.
The pressure from Dell especially, along with HP and IBM, has meant that Legend's domestic market share has stayed flat over the year at 27 percent, even while regional shipments have grown by 16.4 percent. This means that Legend's growth is pacing market growth, and not growing at a faster pace. Combined together, the three US brands have about 15 percent market share in China, a figure which is likely to grow.
Traditionally, Legend prices its computers at 10-15 percent less than the competing US brands.
Legend originally started from a Chinese government technology development project, then became a distributor for HP computers in the late eighties. After mastering the sales, distribution and support side of the business, it went into manufacturing. Now, its computers are marketed globally under the "Lenovo" brand.
Because of its origins with the Chinese government, it has traditionally enjoyed a close relationship with the Chinese government, including participating in new government supported technology standards such as IGRS. Lately, the Chinese government has been driving its own technology standards in communications and wireless technology which are not compatible with international standards. This has forced makers to develop new products for the China market, which adds to their design and production costs.
Several years ago, Michael Dell was quoted as saying the greatest threat to the Dell direct-to-consumer model came from Legend. In the past year, Legend's management has been almost effusive in its praise of the Dell business model.
Performance over the past year suggests that Dell has successfully adapted its manufacturing and distribution model to China, and Chinese consumers are comfortable buying from Dell over the Internet. This runs counter to the general wisdom that Chinese consumers must feel and touch a product before they buy. It also suggests that computers and software are, to a large extent, commoditized.
Over a month and no press release.......over due....IMHO

CONTROLLING YOUR EMOTIONS" in this game called penny stocks.
By BILL PANETTA
Small Cap Trading is such an emotional game its not even funny.
It requires so much discipline to make big money, so many thoughts and question are constantly running through your mind.
Here are some you might recognize
** Should I buy the stock right now or should I wait for the break out.
** I really like this company's product but the filings scare me and you don’t get in and then stock runs big.
** A so-called big time trader is telling me don’t buy the stock it’s a POS and then it runs big time.
** Heres a good one: the stock that I just bought is going down what do I do now?
I like this quote from chips profile:
Stay Liquid...don't get stuck in stocks by riding them down to a point where you are trapped...take a small loss and get into a stock that is moving.. Great quote BTW
But the main reason for this article is for the following question or dilemma:
I have a profit what should I do now?
PROFIT MANAGEMENT: boy this is a rough subject
When you have a profit there are so many things running through your head. Your nervous your sweating bullets.
You can talk to 10 successful traders and you might get 10 different answers on this subject. And BTW if any TRADERS want share there profit management strategies with us please feel free to do so. This is what this weekend is all about.
For me Profit Management is real simple, alot of it depends where I buy the stock. If I am buying near the 5 & 10 moving averages or a stock like PLKC a break of the 200-day moving average those are my favorite and easy to manage.
Once I have a profit I have alot options:
I can sell everything because I feel it has reach a resistance level that I thought it would not break. HRCT was great example went right to my target of .79-.80 area and slammed right back down. A starbucks play for me.
You always hear this one: sell 1/2 when you double your money:
I have a slant on this one: I sell 1/2 when I a have profit.
Again I am trying to take the emotions out trading and this has done it for me personally.
Sell 1/2 when you have profit: what is the theory behind it.
When you sell 1/2 when you have profit it accomplishes one thing
immediately: it gives you a winning trade a guaranteed profit on the trade, and that’s all I am looking for.
Examples:
PFCE: bought @ .40 sold 1/2 @.60
CYGN: Bought @.66 sold @ 1/2 .80
What does it accomplish?
1- I locked in a profit
2- I am guaranteed its a winning trade why? Because if it came all the way back down to my original buy price I still win.
Now heres the beauty of the whole thing if PFCE goes 2.00 & CYGN
goes to 5.00 guess what I win.
Then on the rest of my postion all I have to do is follow my momo guidlines: 5 & 10 day moving averages and 50% rule.
The main point of this concept is you always put yourself in a position to have a winning trade. It’s a win win situation for me.
I am not an AL DAVIS fan (raiders) but as Al always say's
Just win Baby
May The Bull Be With You
The last one doesn't count in my book.....LOL......I think that something like that would really work to get the word out and cause some anticipation and strength in the stock......A press release usually occurs two or three weeks before the event to inform the public.....that alone would cause some movement IMHO..
Any of you guys think that HRCT will ever do a Financial Conference Call like other companies.....I was listening to a conference call from one of my other investments and quickly realized that even though all of these numbers are on paper.....they are much more impressive when one can sit there and listen to the CEO, CFO, Etc. telling you what a wonderful quarter and year they had. I read all of the filing this morning on this company, yet when you hear it, like I said it sounds much more impressive.......http://biz.yahoo.com/cc/3/37693.html
May I suggest that people who have never listened to one....do so....doesn't have to be the one I provided any of the major companies do it.
Hopefully eventually HRCT will be able to do something like this. IMHO it puts a voice, face, behind the company and could assist new investors in deciding whether or not to invest in the company.
DAVID.....Just another day bro........any day you WAKE UP is a good day.......LOL.....Have a happy and safe B-Day.
GOTCHA.......I WASN'T POLITICALLY CORRECT.....LOL
Tin why was my previous message erased???? I was just pointing out that some self described longs are nothing more than wolves in sheep's clothing.
This should explain it Shovel...
