I bought more HRTPY today..
I personally see the results of the wild cat well in Namibia not as disappointing as currently perceived by the market. I feel what has been learn from the drilling results can lead to better results in the next well drilled by HRTPY. With the other assets HRTPY has and it's cash position makes it a no brainer for me to buy more HRTPY at these very cheap levels.
Another thing CEO Keith Hill talked about at the AGM was of a very large Natural Gas discovery in Kenya that was the equivalent of 2 billion barrels of oil, when they put out out a press release on it in the past it did nothing for the stock ( due to the market not favouring NG ). He said that was a mistake by the market, because of the location of the NG it would prove very valuable for AOIFF.
Here is an old BNN video about AOIFF worth watching.http://watch.bnn.ca/#clip306590
I am also a shareholder of HORN, but I was unaware of the AGM that preceeded Africa Oil's so unfortunately I can't make any comments on it. Although Keith did talk about it at AOIFF's AGM. He did say that the reason they spun it out of AOIFF was because of the American preception of Somalia. Even so AOIFF controls the destiny of HORN.
I attended AOI's annual meeting, being in person was far better then hearing it on the Internet. VERY, VERY, IMPRESSIVE!! AOI's excellent land package in East Africa is the size of the United Kingdom, One part is as big as all the Oil and Natural Gas areas combined in the North Sea.
CEO Keith Hill said being early in the area enabled them to obtain the best properties. He went over in great detail each slide he put on the screen VERY IMPRESSIVE.
This is only the beginning for AOI, besides building a pipe line they are even considering building a refinery.
When will I sell? Is when the Lundin's sell. In 9 years they have turn about $200 million into $22 billion, the average company they have created has 29X itself for shareholders. Keith Hill feels this will be their most successful company. He said In all the years he has been in the petroleum industry, he has never been involve with a company that has such potential as AOI.
If I didn't already have a sizable amount of shares in AOI or didn't have any I would be adding to my position or initiating one. To see AOI up on a day when most of my other oil stocks in my portfolio were down was very gratifying.
I hope they have a web cast of the meeting on the their web site, it is worth listening to, especially for shareholders in AOI. http://www.africaoilcorp.com/s/Home.asp
The number of shares I have available for 2 cents each has been reduced to 300,000.
Petiedawgs BSEG did reply to my email regarding selling my shares and they said they have someone interested in buying them at 2 cents a share and would pass on the information. I have yet to hear from anyone, hopefully I will hear from the one who is interested early in the New Year.
I wish everyone on this board good health and especially prosperity for Big Screen Entertainment Group in 2011. They seem to be doing the right things to bring about good times for the company.
The offer to sell my shares in BSEG at a discounted price, are for personal reasons only and should not be reflective on the potential of the company.
I want to sell my shares as soon as possible and do not want to place such a large amount of shares for sale that, would temporarily distort their true value.
I own 605,000 shares in BSEG that I will sell for 2 cents a share. Anyone interested post a message on this board. So we can arrange the transaction.
True but I didn't like the big spread I seen on most occasions between the bid and ask on the stock. I was feeling trapped in it, I feel I can be more successful in more liquid companies at the moment.
Besides I wanted to add to the money I was using to build positions in other companies I am currently buying. Such as Arcan Resourses ARN a Canadian oil company that a lot of people are talking about in Calgary. Laura Lau an analyst with a reputation for picking winners has it as her top pick.
I am considering buying back into FNDM if I can get into it for a couple of dollars less then I sold it for. So I may put in a bid if I take some money off the table from one of the other companies I have shares in. I am usually always fully invested in the stock market so it may take awhile before I free up some money.
It was me who last sold shares in FNDM at $10, I was shocked when I discovered my 600 shares went for that price. I took a hair cut of 25 cents a share. Fine with me, I just didn't like the lack of liquidity in the company's shares, and the fact things were not moving fast enough for the company.
I have been burned to often on American OTC and pink sheet stocks for my likeing. I prefer the Canadian Venture Exchange, for my spec dollars. Thankfully I have done very well in Canadian oil listed stocks this year, more then making up for losses in the above two stock exchanges.
Good luck to all still holding FNDM, I hope it works out for you.
An answer to my enquiry about NENE from NXT
In answer to your question about New Energy Technologies, you are not the first person to ask about them. Because of this, Dennis did some research, checking out the work they are doing and let us know what his thoughts were. Here is a basic summary. First of all, there are some things that need to be clarified. They make some pretty aggressive statements about efficiency but they are based on the fact that they cover so much of the structure. The actual efficiency is probably about 5% or less. The real problems with their technology is the long term stability of the polymer solar cell they are using. If you look closely to their press releases and the things that they themselves report, they have a lot of work to do to make a commercial product. They state that they need to improve efficiency and performance and that they need to increase transparency of the glass surfaces. They also say they need to scale-up the current working prototype (the only demo I saw was of a structure the size of a shoebox) and believe me this is not an easy problem to solve. They also mention that they need to develop a low-cost manufacturing method which leads me to believe that the cost is too high to make commercialization economically viable. Most importantly, their biggest problems are durability and long-term product performance. The cells they are using are very humidity and oxygen sensitive. Most likely, they will not be able to provide a guarantee that the film will operate for more than about 5 years. They are going to have to provide at least a 25 year warranty or, my guess is, their economics do not work out for the customer. I wouldn't want to replace my windows every 10 years or so to keep them generating power. As you know, our scientific team tries to keep up with all the other technologies that are being developed and the obstacles they face. Some of these technologies have potential and some just will not work on a large scale commercial basis. As a short term investment there may be some opportunity there but in the long run we believe that by time they solve all the issues facing them, technology will have passed them by.
If you would like more information, I’m sure Dennis will be happy to speak with you.
Best Regards,
Michelle Gray

When is the vote? I am new to the stock.
I will not be posting on this board for about 6 weeks or a little beyond that time, because I will be on a S. Pacific cruise. Really looking forward to the cruise, meeting new people, seeing new things. I will also be very excited to coming back to share my experiences with others when I get back home to Vancouver, Canada on Nov. 5th. I am also looking forward to reading about all the great things that are happening with and the progress that Natcore is making.
Great!!
You are right!!
Forget About It!!
Things will only get better from here on in!!
Yes it was!!
China Rations Power to Meet Energy-Efficiency Targets
To meet the country’s energy-efficiency targets, some local governments in China are rationing power to factories, homes and hospitals and in some cases shutting down traffic lights, reports The Wall Street Journal. China targets a reduction in energy intensity by 20 percent from 2006 to 2010. The country has cut its energy intensity 15.6 percent by the end of last year.
The target is aimed at limiting China’s reliance on expensive natural resources and is central to reducing China’s emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants because China’s primary source of power is coal, reports Wall Street Journal.
Premier Wen Jiabao has vowed to use an “iron hand” to ensure that the five-year target is met, which includes the closure of outdated and inefficient manufacturing plants, according to the article.
Analysts told the newspaper that the pressure to meet energy targets has increased partly because local officials are being judged on it in annual performance reviews.
As a result, several cities began to ration power, implementing rolling blackouts. As an example cited in the article, in Changzhou, a city of several million people, the local government issued a rotation of rolling blackouts for thousands of factories that required them to shut down five days for every nine they operate.
The BBC reports that officials in the Hebei province ordered local governments to restore power to thousands of people who had their electricity shutdown because cutting power did not meet the central government’s policy.
The local government in Anping cut power to homes and other public facilities, including switching off traffic lights, according to local media, enduring day-long blackouts for the past two weeks, reports BBC.
Blackouts and enforced power cuts also have impacted industry in Hebei province, which accounts for a quarter of the country’s total steel production capacity, with 57 blast furnaces and production lines shutdown since September 4 to save energy, according to the BBC. Beijing previously ordered more than 2,000 factories to shut by the end of September because they were wasting too much energy.
As shown in the past Natcore is a tough deal maker ( for example their acquisitions of Vanquard and Newcyte ). As you say JUST 10-11-12 they did not get involved with First Solar and Sun Power, but they have made a very good deal with the Chinese the world's biggest solar market. Which they expect to see revenue as result of in the first quarter of 2011.
This company has huge potential for it's investors as it's solar technology is utilized by the industry and it's other technologies come to market. They are currently working on a deal involving a very major US company it is not First Solar or Sun Power but it is a very big company. I do know details about this but it is not for publication at this time.
I have been an investor in the stock market for many years ( in fact it is the business I am in ). Natcore is one of those rare companies that you come across in your investment life time.
What a good opportunity to buy more shares in Natcore, which I took advantage of today.

This is my response to a post on another discussion board.
ck123:
As we know by past experience it takes time before Natcore either makes an acquisition and as was in the case of the JV with the Chinese. They drive a hard bargain. Right now it looks very positive a deal will be made, they and their very probable partner are trying for a very large sum of grant money from the US government. This they have a very good chance of getting, but the present government is not know to move very fast. What they have in their favour is that it will be a big job creator for the area they will be manufacturing the solar panels.
Should this deal for some reason not go through Natcore has other companies knocking on their door.
To say the least I am very excited about the prospects for Natcore and it's shareholders. I see Natcore in the future having a greatly higher share price then it is currently trading at, and paying current shareholders a very, very high dividend relative to what they invested in it's shares.
This is sleepy time on the stock market for most investors but a great time for those awake to buy good stocks like Natcore selling at cheap prices.
GOOD NEWS!!
I had a very good conversation wth Natcore yesterday. They have been working on getting a substantial amount of money put into a JV venture for solar panel manufacturing in the US so that they will not have to invest any of their own money in it nor have to issue any shares. This deal has a good chance of going through, should it do so it will be a very major event for the company.
Other then what I am saying now I will not share any more details with you. It is by being this way in my discussions with companies I have shares in I am able to obtain information. So be patient when a company is trying to pull something off as beneficial as this for it's investors, it is not easy and it takes time.
They are to busy building the company to be thinking about it's share price. But they do feel within one year Natcore's share price will be sustantially higher then it is now.
We most also remember they are moving on other fronts as well in getting their other technologies to market and in just a few months they will be getting revenue from their Chinese Joint Venture Company.
The warrant's strike price is 75 cents Canadian.
Re: your remarks about AEHI I sold my entire position in the company yesterday due to their plans for a R/S. I was in the stock at 10 cents and have made several good trades in it.
It was a classical beautiful trading stock with good volume. But I don't like to hold stocks that plan a R/S regardless of the reasons.
I will consider buying after the new shares have traded for awhile.
I have bought most of the shares traded today from 7.5 cents, 8 cents to 9.5 cents with most at 8.5 cents. That is it for me today.
An email response from NTCXF re: latest China meetings.
This was posted on another discussion board asking about the latest meeting in China.
John and Andy have not gotten back yet so we haven't had a chance to discuss the meeting in China with them yet. As soon as we have an update we will let everyone know.
Their schedule in China and commitments back here is pretty tight so they will not be going to the JV site. Having said that, we are making steady progress on that project.
We have completed the forming of the holding company, Natcore Asia, in Hong Kong. We are in the process of setting up bank accounts in Hong Kong and China and as soon as they are set up we will fund the JV.
We are also in the process of looking at CV's for PhDs and technicians in China. Again as soon as we have something newsworthy we will up date.

The CFO asked me not to qoute him on a discussion board so I will not. All I can say is the discussion and the information I got out of it was enough for me to buy FNDME shares today.
I asked good questions and I got good answers.
I spoke to the CFO of FNDME today and got some clarity of the company's situation to my satisfaction.
I have now built a position in the company, in my opinion it has the potential to be very rewarding to it's investors.
My online broker RBC Direct Action shows O/S for FNDM of 109.6 million with 88.93 million floating shares.
Here is an article about Applied Materials' China Push that mentions Natcore.
http://www.zacks.com/stock/news/39144/Applied+Materials%92+China+Push
canucklehead investing is far from being a hobby of mine. I am new to this board so relax and instead of throwing sand in the face of newcomers try putting out the welcome mat next time.
mr millions I have looked everywhere to find financial information to back your statement the company has $21 million in a term deposit could you please post where I could find this information. Or better yet post the actual financials showing the term deposit.
I bought more shares in Natcore today after reading their very good news press release. Which is what I have been doing on a regular basis on good news releases. Not a lot but it does add up over time. If people cannot see their mistake in selling Natcore at this time, that is their problem, but I am happy to take shares off their hands
The next catalyst for Natcore..
I will be so bold to say it will be an annoucement by Natcore getting involved with a major US company using Natcore's technology in the not to distant future.
Regarding their burn rate it is currently low because of money coming in from China to fund research, so they do not have a money problem.
Nevertheless there is more then just a possibility that strategic money will be invested in the company by people or by a company or companies who can bring something to the table for shares in Natcore.
Also we may see spin off companies being formed in which Natcore shareholders will recieve shares in.
There are two very large companies in Taiwan who have been in discussions with Natcore regarding their other technologies. How did they find out? I never thought to ask. I believe it was a professor or scientist in Wales that put the Chinese onto Natcore's solar technology.
I guess the word somehow gets around in the scientific community and down to companies or in the case of China countries. Which is what you like to see happen, if it causes them to contact you, instead of you having to knock on their door and trying to get them to look at what you have to offer.
I expect a good news PR within a month.
I had a very good conversation with Tom yesterday. Things are moving very well for the company with even interest being shown by companies in Natcore's technologies other then in solar. The thing that is great about this company is that companies in different parts of the world are knocking on their door.
It most be understood certain discussions that have and will be taking place cannot be revealed at this time. It's shareholders are in on the ground floor of a company that I sincerely believe will be one of the best investments they will have or will ever make.
This is a link to the O/S and it shows 228.84 million shares.

Interesting post on SH, Re: Natcore
I was a big holder of Timminco in 2007 when the stock went from under a dollar to $35, I traded the stock all the way through ......All the way up I was arguing with a fellow named Everswan about the technology itself and the sustainability of the product considering the many...many silicon plants that were being built and the impact on 6N + silicon prices and even more considering the new technology that was being put forward at the time.....thin film.....
Now if these guys (Natcore) truly have the technology to produce half priced / double efficient photovoltaic cells, you have a multi bagger stock right here in front of you.
Will it work ?
I have bought lots in the past few days thinking weak warrant holders are securing a small profit at this time.....
The risk / reward is extremely enticing here ! but....as always....there is risk.....
I spoke to Tom Scarpa again on Tuesday
I had called Natcore to speak to Michael, to request that she send me the list of products that the company's technologies are applicable to.
She asked me to bare with her since they are very busy at the company and would get on to my request as soon as possible, once I have it I will post them.
Exec. VP Tom Scarpa was able to find the time to have a short conversation with me. He emphasized to me how big and important the latest scientific achievement is for the company that was explained in the press release.
This is only the begining folks there will be more good news to come.
Tom told me things are moving faster then they had been expecting for the begining of solar panel production in China, utilzing Natcore's technology, he stated to me production will begin within the year. He would not be more specific then that. Once that happens he said Natcore will begin receiving revenue from China.
