Ohhhh I hope so..lol Tey really don't have any holes and are going to be tough to beat.
Astros have made a couple of strange trades the past couple of weeks. I don't understand it.
If the Mets were smart (and I don't think they are) they would do everything in their power to make sure the phiollies don't get involved with the manny talks again. It looks like Florida and the Pirates are trying to work out a 3 way trade so that Boston ends up with Bay but if the Phillies up their offer that would be devastating to the mets.
LA is 8-1 against Boston this year? Is that right? Boston losing 5 of their past 6 at home and the big manny drama is taking it's toll. They made 3 errors in one inning. They look confused out there. I think they need to put a end to the manny drama already. It is hurting them.
Dew, I really don't know as Damon can't throw without pain. Nady can play left or right.
I believe he is correct. I believe they are getting their act together at the best time of the season. They are making moves to solidify different posistions without totally giving up the farm. They are playing well as a team. They don't have just Torre's boys and the rest of the team. They have the whole team.
He was a better pitcher without Torre there and this years Farsworth was more likable.
Soooo my answer is NO, I am not going to miss Kyle Farnsworth..lol
I think it is a maturity issue still, They were not happy with his premadonna act at such a early age.
He needs to do his time and keep his mouth shut and I would say they will bring him up in Sept. They want to get Pavano up in Sept to and they are hoping Hughes sometime in Aug. I think the earliest he will be ready is the 2rd week unless they rush him.
This deal they just made for Pudge I never saw coming and never heard coming. I am shocked over it. This will probably send Chad Moeller back down unless he is trade bait to.
lol, I wish I did, I would tell him a thing or 2..lol Actually I have a friend who has a friend up at the stadium here in the minors AAA team. He was right on with Posada the other day before it was announced so I am going to listen to him..lol
It seems just a matter of hours but the Yankees and Seattle will do this deal. Washburn/Vidro for Cabrera/Igawa.
What surprises me is Seattle has said they did not want Melky so why would they take him now? The other I heard is without Melky.
Washburn/Vidro for Igawa and Cash (maybe B level prospect)
I think they had a incredable team before they made that deal. This is a deal that will definitly make them more solid in a already very solid team. They are going to be tough to beat.
lol I don't think somehow that is going to be on the ballot..lol
I couldn't agree more but one thing with Ortiz I noticed with that bad wrist is he really had to put his body into that home run last night. Thats not good for his body as that could casue a injury if he has to keep that up. But he sure is a great hitter.
Yankees still in talks with Seattle and now have included the Royals. If they trade with the Royals expect Mleky to be traded. If it is with Seattle then I don't think they really want Melky.

Hey, I was hoping it would catch on..lol
I am sure you didn't hear me scream in Pa here. I bet my neighbors did..lol
For some strange reason as I am reading this I have The Pina Colada Song stuck in my head..lol
07.25.2008 Even Mussina agrees, Girardi > Torre
"[Girardi] has done a great job of using a lot of people in a lot of situations," Mussina said. "He hasn't grabbed hold of one guy and ridden him until he couldn't do it any more. He hasn't used two guys in winning situations and two guys in losing situations. He's used everybody in every situation. So anybody out there thinks he can pitch the seventh inning, the eighth or close a game out. And when you have seven guys all feeling that way, it's pretty good. We have a team now that feels pretty good about itself, no matter who we're playing."
Meanwhile, Scott Proctor has not pitched in a month due to elbow problems
Thank you, Baseball Gods. Thank you
I would definitly take 2 of 3. It is much better than 1 of 3 but if we do sweep the Red Sox then I will be doing a happy dance!!!!!
It's another Red Sox dog and pony show. I am sure they are asking for the golden gate bride, the statue of liberty, 26,000 747's 150 million and then say we are looking to trade manny. They have don't this act before. Nobody took hime when he was on wavers for free a few years ago. Not 1 team. Then they were going to tarde him after that and nobody would bite. Why? Because they asked for the moon and the stars and the space shittle and the other stuff mentioned. If they were really tired of his antics and really want to trade him they would put it out of everyone's price range.
Does A-Rod getting hit make you feel more complete in life since you seem so obsessed what the yankees do and don't do?lol
He sure doesn't look like that in that water commercial..lol
Ya know, shame, 1 pitch changed the thinking of the game. A Yankees pitcher completly dominated the red sox in their home. He made them look silly. If he did do it intionally it is a shame. If he didn't it is a shame the way he dominated the red sox is being over shadowed by this..
Well that is much better for the Pirates. That other deal they were really getting nothing. Yankees still made out excellent though. They needed to make this deal.
Well you know how that story goes. It is ok for them but not anyone to do that to them.
If Jaba's high and inside was intentional which the history that is there seems to indicate it is he should be taken into the locker room and have his tail kicked for doing something so stupid in a 1 run game important game.
I don't believe it. They have put up with Manny and his antics for so long. They even put up with him pushing a old man down this year and just fined him knowing they couldn't sit him with Pappi sitting out. He quit on the team a few years ago and every single person on the team knew he quit on them in the season and Schilling called him out on it and they put up with it and welcomed him back with open arms. I will believe that he has punched his ticket out of town when I actually see it.
wow did we make out excellent on this deal. We really didn't give up much. Jose Tabata and George Kontos were probably the best of the bunch as I didn't have much faith in Ohlendorf and closed my eyes whenever he would come in and I was glad he was sent back down. We really didn't give up much and made out fantastic here.
I don't know about the Mets going 2/3 but it would not surprise me to see yankees lose 2/3 on the road at Boston. Boston has been great at home and we have not been exactly road killers. We are playing hot right now so I am hopeful and I think we definitly have the ability to beat them. We just have to keep hitting and keep pitching.
Yes, sometimes you need to look at individuals but you also need to look what the team is doing because it is a team sport. Just like there is no I in team there is no 1 in team either. I look at overall what the team is doing.
I can't understand what has happened with the Rays. To be as hot as they were for so long proved they were not a fluke. If it was just a short strech then you can say it was a fluke. But they have been hot for the 1st half of the season then just before the all star break is when it started to fall apart.I just don't understand it.
One thing I look at always is overall runs scored and runs against. That gives the total. Yes, the Mets have better pitching but they also have givin up more runs per game than the Phillies. Phillies have a better Offense. But overall their pitching has been slightly better. Not just the starting pitching. You need to begin and end the game. It doesn't end with starting pitching.
This next week should be interesting. There should be a flurry of activity with the trade deadline fast approaching. I don't understand the astros deal though since they are so many games back. They really think they have a shot?
I enjoy it to and I don't think that they will tell them not to respond, I think that you have to use your head that you can't wave right in the middle of a play when the ball is coming at you. He would have had to wait only a extra 3 seconds to wave back at them after the ball was thrown in. This is his 3rd year so he should know better.
What Melky did the other day should have got him benched. Waving to the bleecher creatures as he is fielding a ball causing a error and a extra base was uncalled for and should have earned him the bench.
lol I love it, I love it. It is always nice when the tables are turned and the thug gets a beating in the end..lol
Enjoy it now, it isn't going to last. Phillies will win the division and the wild card is coming from the Central
I saw somewere on a message board someone asked what their favorite John Stearling quote was and someone said A A-Bomb for A-Rod and some said Cano don't ya know and one said, I retire ! as their favorite John Stearling quote..lol
Lucky you ya get to hear the game on the radio.
What, no bragging today?..Sorry, I couldn't resist either..lol
Alot of those Marlins fans feel like jilted lovers don't forget. Many bought season tickets asnd then the team was dismantled after that when they won the world series. It wasn't the 1st time it was dismantled either. Now on a side note, they have always had problems selling out. Playoffs and world series tickets were still left over the day of the game. Yes, world series tickets.
But the season ticket holders that will never come back after they felt robbed is the fault of the team. They refused to give refunds which is their right but they mis-represented the team they were going to put on the field the year after the world series.
They were talking about it yesterday on Yes Network. The Pen has the second most innings logged in all of baseball but no one relief pitcher is in the top 14 of innings pitched.
