Took some profits. Kinda betting against
myself. Hope for good profit report
(or less loss than expected) tomorrow AM.
TOOL, JP speaks investors listen. We hope
for a long ride up.
Gurus say selling GE Lighting business is
what is moving the stock today.
$250 million is not enough sales price
to warrant such a jump.. is it?
GE seems to be the only (albeit among the financially
strongest) of the big boys still sitting back in
the lurch.
TOOL, B of A would not be buying NIO if gonna
be delisted.
Ya think?
Hopefully that delisting stuff is just
boilerplate.
Stocks with MUCH LESS VALUE are
skyrocketing.
NOOD, Not getting my NIO for less than
$28/share.
Ok $25.
GE doing pretty good. But not keeping
up with everything else I look at.
DayYam.
NIO vs TSLA? NIO is waaayyy ahead of
TSLA at this stage of production, marketing,
sales, etc. Not even close.
About only thing TSLA had going better was
getting far more govt subsidy money.
JLS. You said, "NIO never made a profit." BINGO! Just like..
TSLA. The multi multi $$$BILLION feenoominom.
(I would like to gone on a never a profit ride
like they have taken the stock market.)
This is not to imply that I support
TSLA and its govt-pork belly ponzi scheme.
PRETTY DARN GOOD REPORT JUST CAME OUT.

Beijing is doubling down on its commitment to electric vehicles and considering the size and potential of the Chinese economy. That’s worth taking note. And one of the best ways to bet on the Chinese EV market is with Nio (NYSE:NIO) and NIO stock.

Shanghai-based Nio, which is often called China’s answer to Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), manufactures smart, electric, and autonomous vehicles.
Like Tesla, it positions itself as a futuristic automotive company with a heavy emphasis on lifestyle. Nio even has a fashion line which it says is inspired by its Nio EP9 vehicle.
Carrying the analogy further, Nio founder William Ben Li is even called the “Elon Musk of China,” although there’s no indication that Nio’s founder is following Musk’s more eccentric ways.
20 Stocks to Buy If You’re Still Betting on America to Thrive
While there’s no guarantee that designer clothes will help Nio vault past rivals like Tesla, Ford (NYSE:F) or the Warren Buffett-backed BYD Company, NIO is making inroads that cannot be ignored.
I-Man, New term: "Beneficent BK-ing". PS
THE "LAW" NEVER NEVER NEVER SHOULD
ALLOW ELIMINATION OF CITIZENS' STOCK THRU BK!!!
NEVER! PERIOD!
BIO - Yup! One of most overrated people
in "business" history. Just that squeeekeee

Now you tell me. I loaded on 8's. Calls.
Dead virus bounce. eom
New GE 30 year low close. The only thing ya can
say is if the GEs go out of business.. it will
be Amazon/Facebook/Google, etc, etc world.
But who is gonna make anything?
Interesting report about GE. Wish I had guts to
follow Peltz's advice.
Activist Investor Nelson Peltz Says He Is Putting New Capital To Work
10:29 am ET May 15, 2020 (Benzinga) Print
Activist investor and Trian Partners CEO Nelson Peltz told CNBC on Thursday's "Halftime Report" he bought shares of unnamed companies that were "beaten down too much."
Peltz's Buying Strategy
The activist investor isn't disclosing what specific stocks he has been buying, but did confirm they are "new positions."
This shouldn't be confused with a bullish stance on the market as a whole, Peltz said, adding that he is "buying specific companies."
Regarding existing positions that have been confirmed, most notably General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), Peltz said the company's CEO Larry Culp is ranked among the "best industrial managers" who have been dealt an "awful hand."
Despite nearly everything working against Culp's favor, the company is positioned to navigate the storm given a strong balance sheet, Peltz said.
Peltz On GE
General Electric is in the fortunate position of overseeing a "great business" in GE Aviation, although no one is flying, Pelz said.
If no one ever flies again, then Culp is sitting on a "terrible business," the activist investor said.
The CEO is showing an ability to maintain his composure and initiate managerial decisions that should have been done "decades ago," said.
What's Next For GE
If consumers don't embrace air travel in the future, GE's stock is "overpriced," but if travel resumes, then GE's stock will offer investors a "great bargain," Peltz said.
Peltz said he believes travel will be supported by the release of a COVID-19 vaccine "sooner rather than later."
Tens of millions of doses could be made as early as the end of 2020, he said, adding that he has confidence in the handful of companies working tirelessly on a treatment.
Here is 1 reason stock is so lousy:
*Temasek Holdings 13F Shows Cut Stake In NIO, Inc. From ~41.47M Shares To ~13.98M Shares (M = Million)
I wonder what they know that we don't?
Nezzar. CHK? Don't they always wipe stock out in BK? eom
Trade it? But but.. where to sell? $6, $7, $8? eom
How much did they turn out to be? Percentage
of price of NIO... or what?
How were they calculated.
SPOT - Leave it to the Chinese. They do everything
BIG.
SPOT - Great finds. CREDIBILITY. Tesla might
have total of 1 to match these. Are the Chinese smart
enough to see thru Tesla mirage?
Thanks Spot - Excellent news and comments. eom

NIO and Intel! Car Makers Won't Put Brakes on Autonomous Driving, Mobileye CEO Says
2:20 pm ET May 5, 2020 (Dow Jones)
"Car makers are facing a huge crisis with sales plummeting and many factories idled, but some of the industry's more futuristic plans still appear to be on track.
That, at least, is part of Intel's logic behind the company's move, unveiled Monday, to buy Israeli transportation app maker Moovit Inc. for $900 million and make it part of Mobileye, the semiconductor maker's $15 billion bet on autonomous driving.
Mobileye plans to integrate its technology into robo-car systems being developed by Volkswagen AG, Chinese electric-car maker NIO Inc. and others."
Spot - NIO C R E D I B I L I T Y !
Thanks Tool-T! Not dong much for the stock. But
it gives a person a feel good attitude
about this stock that is predicted by
vast majority of gurus to be $28 by
end of the year.
That is a beautiful car.. to go along with ist
earth shaking driving abilities.
Month and 1/2 since last "report" Seems a...
Seems a LOT longer. eom
Yesterday gone. And then some. eom
There went yesterday. Who said buy at 2.70 and
sell at 3.80? Wash and rinse.
Or numbers something like that.
DEW - I agree with your second (agger) point. The
main thing "protecting" TSLA is that the
big gas car companies refuse to want to give
up their gas cars because of massive
amount of infrastructure they would have
to give up. Changes in the $trillions.
NIO 10 bagger would be nice.
Go NIO! TSLA? It's a JDLR. In this day and age..
it cannot be possible for a car company
that has never made a dime... to be
more valuable than GM, Ford, Nissan,
Honda... all added together.
With several $$$$BILLION of "value"
left over.
JDLR = Just Don't Look Right!
Tesla Profit!!!Breaking all
their previous records.
Will be Zooming by $1000/share tomorrow.
TODAY - 15:30 ET - Elon Musk's SpaceX, already embroiled in disputes over lack of Pentagon financial support for its heavy-lift rocket development, took another blow from a Pentagon-sponsored study backing current plans that leave out such military funding for the company. The report, prepared by Rand Corp. analysts for the Air Force, concludes that the global market for rockets capable of boosting the biggest US national security satellites likely can support only two US launch providers. ULA, a Boeing-Lockheed Martin joint venture, and Blue Origin, backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, are considered the front runners to win the first batch of launch contracts slated to be awarded later this year. The study, in effect, endorsed Air Force acquisition plans that leave SpaceX out of the mix for heavy-lift launches at least over the next few years. (andy.pasztor@wsj.com)
TWO - 12 out of every 10 companies did the same damn-
nable thing.
Especially feenoms like Tesla.
SELLING? It could be much of the debacle is built
into this horribly destroyed stock price.
Guess we will find out tomorrow.
I hope.
SPOT, are those all NIOs in Mexico?? eom
This guy is China's Musk. Without a wig. eom
VERY old store story. Let's hope it is still
true. Although stock price indicates
maybe they have pushed this project
way back.
Still holding...
