LRDC oil play making a move - 18 million share float
LRDC @ .10 getting some volume today - 18 million share float
LRDC Volume Alert - 18 million share float
LRDC - Laredo Oil @ .10 with an 18 million share float.
Company works in enhanced oil recovery managing properties in Wyoming (Teapot Dome) and Louisiana. They've been hiring quite a bit recently and have an ongoing relationship with Alleghany (Y).
Annual Report due out this week.
LRDR & LRDC..two Laredo's! lol
LRDC (oil stock) has some volume coming in today..hod @ .10
LRDC (oil stock) @ .10 w/ some volume coming in..
More hiring going on at Laredo in Wyoming. Annual report due out in the next week or so. I'm still keeping an eye on the new SORC website to see if any more content is added.
https://sorc.co
https://laredooil.apscareerportal.com/account
I think the website is affiliated with the company. I signed up for notifications on there and received a confirmation email that had links to stranded-oil.com email addresses. My guess is that it's still in the early stages of being built. I think that bodes well for the progress we are all hoping for if that's the case!
Yeah it certainly seems unfinished (No branding logos, links). Couldn't get much from the whois database, but the domain name was registered in 2014. Looks like changes just started in June. I knew SORC owned stranded-oil.com (nothing on there) but I wasn't familiar with this site until I stumbled upon it last night. Will see if anything develops or if we can get any confirmation from the company.
Looks like a new website is now online for SORC. https://sorc.co
Alleghany's quarterly is out on 8/2 and Laredo's annual report should be out before the end of August. Hoping they have some good things to say!
If I were to speculate based on the trading over the last couple months, I wouldnt be surprised if some type of hedge fund is on this. Lot of support/volume and algorithmic trading here for just retail in my opinion.
That looked like an arranged buy/sell yesterday. However, im sure there's still a few people cashing in on the move from .01 to .11. I like the in flow of funds at this level. It seems like it has some support from someone.
Zzzzz...nice base building but someone please wake up the SORC BOD already!
LRDC making another move today after being quiet for a bit. +45% at .09
LRDC oil stock making a move +45% today @ .09
There was similar language used in the January 10-Q "In addition, the Company is implementing and evaluating a modified UGD site within the field."
and this was what was described in the Oct 2017 filing regarding the Teapot Dome "The Company, on behalf of SORC, is currently operating and further developing those leases acquired using conventional production methods, and continues to gather and analyze geological data concerning the oil reservoir regarding its suitability for implementing the UGD recovery method if approved by the SORC board of directors."
It looks like a progression to me. Again, I absolutely could be wrong. I'm trying to piece together the puzzle just like everybody else without much to go on.
Per the last 10-q in April "In addition, the Company is evaluating a modified UGD site within the field."
Obviously there are some additional steps required before they can begin (approval), but it sounds like they are getting there along with the hiring they've done recently. But without any operational updates from the company, it's all just speculation at this point.
Would think that initiating enhanced oil recovery at the Teapot Dome would be PR worthy. Not sure if they are all the way there yet, but based on what's been mentioned in the filings and the hiring they've been doing, I would imagine they are close. I believe they are somewhat limited in what they can release because of their relationship with SORC/Alleghany. At this point, you are correct, the filings are still the best place to research info. Best of luck to you as well.
Getting tired of whoever is playing games with the bid and ask on this stock. Sure would be nice to get an update from the company. Might want to keep your shareholders updated on any progress..just saying!
OTCX we see you! :) Finish up with that accumulation already!
Not bad considering this one is still flying under the radar!
I spoke too soon! .14!
Oil has been on a roll, but things have been quiet here this week. Sure would be nice to get an update from the company!
Indeed!
To clarify my comment, SORC is producing oil via conventional methods. Laredo is receiving their management fee for working with SORC on enhanced oil recovery and those funds from recovery will go towards paying down the investment capital provided by Alleghany. You are correct that it's extremely difficult to find information. I've had to review filings extensively amongst doing many other searches online. Just a fyi, Alleghany has an earnings call scheduled for this Thursday. I'm hoping to hear some kind of an update in regards to SORC.
One thing to note is that LRDC previously traded at almost $1 in an oil market not even remotely as good as the one we are currently in.
Not to mention the company is actually producing oil now with plans to implement and expand their enhanced oil recovery process (per 10-Q and they've been hiring). Their UGD process is the low cost method that will hopefully get the business rolling.
Not sure what to make of all the volume, but looks like some solid accumulation going on.
With oil moving higher and the company ramping up production, maybe someone is seeing the potential moving forward. Difficult to figure out what drives these moves sometimes.
Extremely low float and market cap along with Alleghany (Y) partnership is certainly intriguing though.
LRDC (oil stock) starting to break out w/ a 52 week high today @ .10. 18 million share float.
My lol is in the way you described this situation, especially considering how you were shouting to buy from the rooftops when this stock was almost $1.
SORC owes Alleghany their investment capital which bought them the Teapot Dome, Lousiana property, etc. before LRDC receives the percentage of their royalites.
In the meantime, Laredo continues to collect it's management fee for being a service provider. Per their 10-Q, they are beginning to implement their enhanced oil recovery method at these properties (yes KS was a setback). However, with a ramp up in production (which they've been hiring for recently) and the price of oil this high, they have potential to create with a very nice spread. (You previously mentioned a Seeking Alpha article on this topic)
Also, think outside the box where the royalties are concerned. There are a number of provisions written into this, such as if SORC were to go public, the investment capital owed could be paid down with funds raised and Laredo gets an immediate payout.
I'm not saying to buy or sell this stock. It's an interesting story that has potential. I just don't see it as "dead" especially considering the market cap and float. The execs own 36 million of the 54 million shares outstanding and their options are all priced much higher than the current price. Best of luck.
lol
LRDC oil play trading @ .02 - 18 mil share float
Quite a bit of volume on LRDC today. Not sure what to make of it.
Some crazy volume today!
Anyone following LRDC (Laredo Oil)? The company has a current partnership with Alleghany (Y) and is involved with enhanced oil recovery. Float is about 18 million and seems to be flying under the radar.
Awfully quiet here. 10-Q just came out. UGD in the works at Teapot Dome in Wyoming and their property in Louisiana. Company has been hiring for a number of different jobs. Still looks interesting with an 18 million share float.
That was my concern, that they could end the vote early if they actually had the Yes votes in the bag. In which case, they could theoretically complete the RS prior to the end of the voting period if I'm understanding that correctly. I wouldn't really put anything past the company at this point.
