In my mind, Green Globe continues to gain credibility.
I think one thing we should remember is that news, big events, large transactions, etc... never happens on time. Never never never never never never. That has always been my experience with jobs I've had or stocks I've invested in. Everything is good here.
All the pros out there - I'm I right??
It was a not so subtle attack. You didn't pick up that or Mozarts sarcasm. Come on, guy.
Come on.
In Motzart's email he spoke of 50,000,000 shares at .02. Then he mentions 500,000,000 at .002. That's the same market cap.
I recollect him saying he would be averaging down buying shares. If he were selling, do you think he would be telling us?
Okay, so you don't have Mohammed's average cost, but you can make breakeven I believe.
I think my man Motzart is being facetious. He likes to mess with us.
Maybe we get news after hours?
Now don't hold me to this or ask for backup, but I tend to think that IF we can break 1 cent we will eventually run to 25 cents.
I'm waiting. Looking to see if I want to double down here. The last run we had put us on the radar screen of alot of traders.
ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE WAITING. I think this can move very fast. It appears we have a nice base at this price level.
Nice Post. In order to alleviate the stress that these stocks can cause you have to just not care that much. Not caring that much would entail not having too much money in here.
When you have to much money in any one stock, you do hasty things, like sell on days like today.
To be honest, I don't know. I'd like to dive back in for a bit more. I think I'll wait and see and if we drift lower I'll pounce and if we don't I'll still be happy.
Be greedy when others are fearful, oh but wait, I'm too late with that comment. We've already bounced back.
The market cap here is probably less than 1 million dollars. That's what I meant when I said it was dirt cheap. Certifying an entire country or community has got to bring in tons of revenue. The number one brand for sustainable ecotourism has got to be worth more than one million dollars.
Now for some fundamental analysis - I think this stock is very very very cheap. Even if you use the most conservative estimates its dirt cheap. Technical analysis may rule here but don't overlook the fundamentals.
Man, you sunk down to Gates' level. You can do better than that, I thought you had a bit more savvy. That safe harbor statement you pasted is the same safe harbor statement on just about every press release by every company. Its a standard disclaimer just about everyone uses.
Here are three companies that got into trouble for misleading press releases 1) Penford Corp, 2) StockYale, Inc., and 3) Immucore Inc. There are many more.
Come on.
...and don't forget Travel Mole.
Companies can get in trouble with the SEC for misleading press releases. It happens all the time. Press releases are to be believed.
Yes, he's reaching there. Such disingenuous statements imply an agenda on his part.
If we drift a little lower tommorrow, I may jump in for a bit more. A PR was expected by now, lets hope its good news that one wasn't released. If there are numbers in there, they've got alot of checking to do. Maybe the events in the PR also require an 8K and they have to check with lawyers... who knows.
Always been a skeptic of technical analysis, I'm not a trader, but the data is compelling. Abby doesn't have all those boardmarks for nothing!
Probably better off Monday than today. I was kind of hoping for news today. I'm going home. Everybody have a good weekend. See you Monday.
I bet gates is one of those proprietary traders, it looks like he's short here, and the market being what it is those guys are getting killed.
When news breaks will go up 500%.
Basically, he was made a Director and the Form 3 is reporting his ownership at that time. The Form 4 is reporting an acquisition after he became a Director.
Well...maybe not too knowledgeable. I've been here before the reverse split. I picked up some .0009s today. I am savvy enough to figure out who is who on these message boards. Who the experienced traders are, who the obvious short sellers are, who the not so experienced short sellers are, who the true believers are, etc...
I think these message boards are important. They all read them. Everybody is here. Some of the PRs seem to precisely address some of the concerns posted on this board. At the company I work for, we all read the message boards. Its fun. Some posters are way off, some dead on.
No, No, No. Lets have no talk of target prices. Lets not create a ceiling for this thing.
I predict tommorrow we get news, or at least I hope tommorrow.
Alcoa is involved with alot of hydropower projects up in the northern part of the country. They are leaders in alternate energy projects. Its a small country so I guess its easier to implement. Its a big ecotourist spot, people go for the hot springs (volcanic island) and for the natural beauty. Tourism is booming.
Oh come on. It was a PR worthy event. Those communities in Iceland had been in the Green Globe benchmarking process and they finally achieved ceritification.
The Head of State of a nation was in attendance for the event and they issued a PR congratulating them. Iceland is a small country and tourism, and ecotourism, is a big industry. Other communities in Iceland may join.
What is your problem with that PR? I don't understand you calling this fluff. I really don't.
Now that there is a deal with EC3 they will have reportable revenues. What those will be, we don't know. It appears that the only revenue they can report now is from legacy business.
Not a fluff PR, not a PR that will make the stock move but not fluff either. It was a Green Globe event that the President and the head of Parliament attended. Very PR worthy. Small country but they rely on tourism big time. I love Iceland.
And about the Form 4s, if the awarding of the stock triggers a filing, so would the selling. They need to report when the ownership changes - I believe is the theory behind the form. As far as we know, they aren't selling.
Yes, thats it. Good post.
Also, lets hope Peacock nails this one. We're riding the learning curve with him on this Javelin Play.
If they sell, they need to file a Form 4 so we will know about it.
Insider buying is significant to me. Based on my personal experience, I've worked for terrible public companies and the big shots would never buy stock on the open market. They would give themselves options, but NEVER EVER would they buy the stock. The amount these guys bought was substantial.
I'm buying more today.
I'm right where you are, Rich. We've got a very real chance of breaking even and we will certainly be able to cut our losses substantially. Can't ask for more than that at this point.
Do you know how that would work exactly? If an MOU were to be signed with a country, would that mean that all of the hotels in that country over a certain size would have to certified?
Realistically, we can hope to cut our losses.
There are many unknowns here. Its scary but I suppose that is to be expected with a reporting shell.
I think the reason why GGLB had no revenues is because there is no royalty deal yet. The 0 revs in Q108 and the $2K revs in Q107
is from the legacy business. That should've been spelt out if that is in fact the case.
I believe flaflyersfan when he said the motivation for going public was to get there money out but I think there is also a motivation to make this work. Its not a scam. There is a Board and I believe there is independence on the Board.
Peacock owns alot of shares, he wants this at the levels ThePennyGuru says we can do. That's a safe bet.
Some sort of forecast or projection would be nice, but like I say, maybe they just don't know yet! We're trying to figure that out but I'm not so sure they know! This ain't GE.
What do you think is going on?
If we do 1/50 of what you say we can do I'll be happy. Good day over all.
Or if the accounting treatment for revenues of GGLB certification is like a magazine or a newspaper subscription, then its accrued over the year like you mentioned.
The bottom line here is that there is so much we don't know. We don't know an awful lot. That 10Q only made me feel worse things. Man that was bad.
...well not a formal challenge because I'm not exactly sure myself. Financial Reporting isn't my favorite topic either but,
The revenue might not be realizable, therefore not reportable, until Green Globe has completed ALL of its obligations relating to its product. I think the accounting you described is more for expenses than revenues. Expenses should be accrued like that. I'm being very general here.
I'm on the fence. I think they would've mentioned the seasonal nature of their revenues if that were the case.
oh come on.
