Bob is soooo done with APRU/RSHN. Dead stocks walking.
great. i've got 100,000 shares worth zipo.
just proves, there are a lot of investors out there who are a whole lot smarter than i've been.
Somebody who was around when things were "happening" was a poster whose photo was a Big Foot. Remember him? He is an example of those who were very visible until things took a turn to the downside. Curious.
indepth05: Sulja and LoftWerks were all about different names. That may have been part of the game. There is an impression that nobody on the "outside" had a solid idea of what company did what and owned what. There has never been any 3rd party verification of anything to my knowledge and I've ridden this broken down horse since March of '06; although I've locked in my tax loss going forward.
Bush says drill offshore and here we sit w/bubkis, nada, nothing, dead issue. Very disappointing. No value in the billion miles of seismic I suppose. Very disappointing.
i seem to recall that Andrew put his finger into a building supplies business back in 2003, maybe in Texas. it appears that he approached Dennis and together they had some aspirations involding catalogs and ??? i don't remember what it was. i think someone said investment $$$ was needed and that is where PV and Steve came in.
i also seem to recall that someone said 3 corporate identities of LoftWerks were created in Tennessee in 2003 or about that time. that may have been the beginning of the grand plan.
actually, the grand plan would be suspected to have come via Andrew. all speculation of course.
probably impossible. this has turned into one of those back-burner investments. if anything good happens that'll be good; otherwise, no expectations and after i've written off the next $6k of pink investments, i'll sell this and write it off too.
whoohoo!
The same w/me. I had purchase LoftWerks and then here came Andrew and PV and Steve and it all went to hell from there.
You may be exactly right. That is what this entire effort may be to Bob. From the getgo he may have decided to set up RSHN as the means of gaining personally by selling shares to the public with no intention of continuing on to construct a viable business.
My guess is that Bob has limited personal capability to conceive of success in business and via public ownership in particular.
He may feel it an unacceptable risk to delegate. He may be a control freak. He may be stupid and has enjoyed some personal success in business in spite of himself. He may be simply crooked. I don't know but am suspecting something is wrong with this boy.
JP...something basic has been screwed up with Bob's companies from the getgo. It must be Bob.
Well said...he has the product and the packaging yet he has a nack for shooting himself (and us) in the foot every time.
Maybe he is self-destructive and can't deal with the possiblity of success. Something is wrong. It could be that he tries to do everything himself and either doesn't know how to deligate or is too cheap to bring professionals in.
Then there is the possibility that things are exactly as he wants them to be and he has no desire for more out of his companies. That could be.
i'm ticked that i'm still holding Bob's shares in both companies. the catch is that he could pull a rabbit out of his butt for the shareholders but it isn't likely. this is looking like another writeoff.
so basically Bob dumped RSHN? he used it (and us)and then tossed it away to benefit himself by putting everything of value into APRU?
i'm numb. so a zillion miles of seismic data during the
biggest runup in the history of oil yielded zipo for KING.
i really know how to pick 'em.
well said Ninja.
call Andrew or his mama. em
what a suprise! em
thanks for the DD buymeloveandstock. much appreciated.
ask him if he has any plans in the near future to promote and continue to develop KING as a public company.
Then there were the UAE/Dubai showrooms and a hotel project.
They said NASDAQ and the Dubai Exchange. I was holding for $4/share. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The Coolaid was great!
True, any filing is a positive step. I was on the verge of selling but might hang around for a while longer.
tchauncy: has this move effectively taken the KING seismic/log assets private? Does it now appear that management is preparing to sell an empty shell?
Imperial...Your analysis is very much appreciated. Thank you. A question that has been hanging out there all of this time is why the company has done nothing in the past 2 years or so. Perhaps management has known this day of settlement was coming and wanted to keep exposure of assets to the smallest possible; otherwise, the settlement may have been larger. Now we watch to see if management sees any advantage of running any business through the KING shell or has effectively taken the assets private and will sell the KING shell. Your additional thoughts?
Maybe they have kept the shell alive in anticipation of legal challenges. Once these challenges are satisfied, the question will be if they will see any further need for the shell. My guess is no. Thoughts?
When I researched it, I found LoftWorks and LoftWerks.
The original momentum, as I found it, was DeVries' interest in Ammerman's LoftWerks. They put out a plan I seem to remember of web-related design books or something like that. Andrew seemed to see a lot of potential in LoftWerks; maybe so much potential he wanted to keep it close to himself and who knows, that may have been the momentum behind selling the LoftWerks public shell and taking LoftWerks assets private. For all we know Dennis and Andrew are in business with those LoftWerks assets, if there were any (disclaimer). I seem to remember that about 2003 Andrew may have been invested in a building supplies or construction company (might have been his first).
I was doing ok w/Loftwerks but the the BIG PLAYERS came into the picture w/the BIG PLAN.
Trust me. You won't know what business is related to what other business FOR SURE. Only verifiable legal filings will tell for sure and only at the time of the filings.
Your approach is right for considering investments and thank you for your considered input. I was just adding in on the goofy side. Hopefully Bob has a business case for picking up this product and he is insulated from potential liability of promoting it should it legally go that way.
Dead company trading. em
Bob must be an idiot. You are on to something here. No potential partner/investor will do biz with Bob if they think they are throwing into a situation that could go south on Bob's end. Not a good move Bob, IMO.
Do you think Bob pulled a boner with this one? em
So, the FTC might have a BONE to pick with William!
Hmmmmmm.
It is HARD to figure where this stock is going to go.
STIFFENS my resolve to continue holding RSHN/APRU Lonnnnnnng.
I thought about going SHORT but now I'm LONG with Bob.
Maybe the SOFT PATCH we hit with the pps is over.
Bob's TURGID tenacity at GROWING APRU/RSHN is much appreciated as he RIGEDLY pursues his business plan.
Can't BEAT that! Go Bob.
Like they just said on the SLJB board about SLJB...KING is still trading but operationally dead...or gives that appearance.
if you are right, that certainly would be good 4 me. i am ready for a gain. only have 10,000 shares. might be up to picking up another 5 to 10 thousand shares.
