Of course it is a real good thing...
My point was to "not discount" too quickly the recent news stories on the "new Torsen" that is being installed in that version of the 2012 F-150 as a mid model year enhancement.
Let's face it, if Torvec's Iso-torque is the planned enhancement for a product that will be shipped in 5-6 months from now, then the company with the product will be forced to reveal some details about the enhancements prior to all of the details of the enhancements.
The best way to do that would be to describe it as a "new Torsen", which, technically, the Iso-torque also is.
I have no way of knowing if it is ours.
I hope it is, and if it is, it would be a real good thing.
Let's remember some of the things from the Torvec Web site:
Nope, I'm not suggesting that at all ...
Are you making that suggestion?
In fact, I don't remember suggesting anything at all.
In order to truly say "We Get it"...
We would have to remember that...
It is a "New Torsen" that is being touted in the F150.
Torvec's Iso-torque technically is a "New Torsen".
Ford has had ample time to study Torvec's "New Torsen".
The June 2, 2009 patent for the Iso-Torque mentions helical gearing 26 times.
Torvec's new money came in just days prior to this announcement.

How can you be so ungrateful to get...
the most current information on the testing of one of the Torvec products?
It is only what it is and you can't make it out to be more than it is, no matter how much thumb sucking you can do about it.
Till there is real news about products being sold, we will just have to entertain ourselves with this type of news from time to time.
Did you happen to notice that the RIT actually won some of the various competitions?
Don't you think that the wins were partly due to the Torvec Iso-torque?

Actually, they have been anointed by others including...
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton who once said...
Don't you really have that backwards, again? ...
It is the old news that certainly has everything to do with Torvec, and it is only the new news that possibly has nothing to do with Torvec.
We won't really know about the new news until the time is right for Mr. Kaplan to tell us about that.
I, however, can see why you don't care about any of this.
Here's a suggestion..., you can put my posts on ignore.
Yes, it is true, the links were from...
2009.
That is when Jim began the effort to have the NAVY test Torvec's hydraulic hybrid equipment.
I just put the links there because it would be hard for some followers of this company to remember all of that detail.
It is a wonder that it didn't take longer since the legislation "S. 2843: Advanced Vehicle Technology Act of 2010" never got approved in the 111th congress.
It appears that the legislation "S. 734: Advanced Vehicle Technology Act of 2011" at least has a chance in the 112th Congress.

Funny, isn't it, that with all the real estate experts involved directly with the company, why would they hire a broker outside the circle?
Was it a vote of confidence?
Of course, the experts inside the circle are too busy with the commercialization of the inventions to bother with this project.
Just to clarify this item a bit further...
There were not only two races, but each car had two drivers and they were required to change drivers in one of the pit stops.
Therefore, our BOD member, John Heinricy, did not drive the entire race. I believe that there was a report that the Corvette race car was set up in middle ground settings between the set up that each driver would have preferred. That put each driver at a slight disadvantage as to the individual set up that each would have preferred. But, that was also the case for all the other cars that raced in both classes of race cars.
Since the original link is not active anymore...
Here is a current working link to the results record of the Heinricy / Curran's Corvette race win.
http://www.grand-am.com/schedule/results.cfm?series=r&eid=2358
In this particular race, there were two classes of race cars racing on the same track at that same time.
It is true that Heinricy finished in 11th place following the faster class race cars that were still on the lead lap, however, he finished in first place of the race cars that were in his same class.
Again, Congratulations to Heinricy / Curran's Corvette race win...

Actually, Gleasman's were 1st to market with the...
best mechanical limited slip differential (Torsen), and as you pointed out, Torvec is now in the process of proving a much better version of that same Torsen technology. So, once that happens, they will not only be 1st to market with the Torsen, but also will be 1st with the next generation Iso-Torque improved version.
The differential in the article that I posted earlier is not a competitor, as it is a mechanical locking differential. As you must know, the Iso-torque is not a locking differential. That one is in an entire separate class of technology. My point with that article was that the mechanical locking differential was recognized by the marketing department as the main selling advantage of the entire drive train which included the actual engine.
This is, IMO, very likely to become the same result for the Iso-torque, once the technology is proven.

The concern you mentioned about the issue involving...
"international thieves of the technologies of others" was addressed at the meeting in a couple of ways.
First, there was mentioned, a new relationship with a legal firm that is working closely with Keith to provide protection, and secondly; the confidence in GM's ability to honor and protect Torvec's component technology in the overseas markets was mentioned.
On your point of the CV Joint, it really was not mentioned at all in the meeting. I attribute that to the fact that the CV Joint did not make the list of the three focus products. I asked Keith specifically about this after the meeting. He said something to the effect that there is really not a problem with the CV Joint, but it will need to wait its turn for focus till a later date. I suspect that it will be the next product to surface once the other three have attained the progress and cash flow to allow attention to that CV Joint technology.
The three products that made the list are the
IsoTorque differential, the
Rota-Torque, and the
Steer Drive.
It is interesting that the steer drive made the list, but isn't even listed as a product in the new Torvec web site. It is, however, listed in the old web site.
http://www.torvec.com/products_steeringdrive.html
Anyone care to speculate on just why the Steer Drive is on the focus list?
Another interesting point is that the relationship with Eastern Mining & Industrial Supply, Inc. began with the testing of the CV Joint at RIT and ended up with their interest being in the IsoTorque Differential instead of the CV Joint. I suspect that the RIT testing results with that CV Joint technology may have moved it to a lower spot on the focus list.
After all, the IsoTorque, upon testing with Hyundai, failing one of the tests, had to be reworked in November, get fresh patents, and now is sort of like a new product at this time.
The CV Joint will, most likely, have a similar productized path.
