yes, but it's still a vote for the opposing team.
unless of course Berkshire takes a position in Xechem. Then it would be ok.
What I would really like to know is the vote totals. Could we (the board) really have made that much of an impact as to put him in the top ten?
It looks like Ramesh keeps good company! LOL
maybe this will get some retail investors interested.
the pr can't hurt.
now go cast your vote.
Why isn't anyone talking about the BIG NEWS!!!!??????
http://www.marketwatch.com/ceooftheyear/2006/?dist=djm_ceovotemktwmjr1&siteid=djm_ceovotemktwmjr...
Why are we expecting the 10Q this week? It seems that over the last year or so they have consistently filed on the 21st-22nd of the month.
what commission do they charge? When my TDW and Ameritrade accounts were separate, a 100K share order differed by about $200 in commission. TDW charged by the share after about 5K.
I've never once had a problem trading with TDW. It takes a while to get filled sometimes, but there don't seem to be any restrictions.
I used to have a TD account and an Ameritrade account. Now I have 2 TDA accounts. I don't know whether it's changed, but Ameritrade had MUCH better commissions on penny stocks.
the fill was at .02 even
interesting too is the fact that my TDAMERITRADE bids never show up. at least not on the TDA site.
well, just .0203, but considering the tight range that's a little strange.
hope it's not a bad sign. I just got filled for 50k shares at well below my bid.
G
no worries.
good luck to all.

I got massively flamed for repeating information that had already been discussed (but, was new to me) so I retracted it.
My intent was to spawn discussion, but that didn't work so I bailed. Message boards can be hostile places.

Terms of loan-- Do we know anything about the terms of the UPS loan? Given current rates I am guessing about 8% annual, but I don't recall reading it anywhere.
The release made it sound like with the guarantee the loan was a lock, but is it for sure that we got the money?
I am just trying hard to understand why the market has awarded this seemingly huge, albeit expected, news with about a $.002 premium. I expected much more of a pop now that our little pony has been "legitimized". What am I missing?
FWIW, I added another 100K in the 26s, because it just looks too cheap here.
G
often times when you make out the budget it is calculated based on price of consummables, reagents, etc. It isn't necessarily a round number. It lends an air of legitimacy to your estimates to leave the numbers "raw".
also, sometimes a grant comes in for a percentage of the budget given. they don't round the numbers.
or, the agency may have a certain amount of money to give out for a set number of grants. divide the total by the number of grants and it may not be a round number.
other times, there is overhead and some agency, like a university, takes out some percentage. that could leave an unrounded number.
who knows? could be a lot of things.
"dwarf planet"
Gosh the internet is fun

"you shouldn't be investing here"
no problem. I wish I could say more, but a) I don't know all the facts, and b) I don't know what is appropriate to mention.
I do know that Pandey really believes what he is telling XKEM investors.
GLTA
GS
not sure, Feb, March maybe?
GS
He told me
GS
FWIW
I know that Pandey has met with M.L.K. Jr's daughter, who is very interested in the SCD story.
a lot more today than yesterday. up to my gills, now i'm going to turn away for a month and see what happens. real product. real approval. real sales. i'm not sweating this one at all. it might take time to see my target, but i got time.
GS
why don't my ameritrade orders show. i had a buy in at .0235 that didn't get filled and the highest that was showing was .0230.
I don't get it.
Reverse split. Once we get up to 2B shares or so, what would be the effect of say a 1:20 reverse split?
Was that really a 17M share buy at 2:45 or so, as per Yahoo?
anyone see that go by?
i'm feeling pretty darn good at buying back the portion of my shares that i sold at .035 on the way up. that was pre-approval. I feel much more confident holding now for the long haul.
never had any problems with TD Ameritrade. I think it's $10 or so regardless of size. good research tools too.
I had a $100M market cap target (around 8c).
It blew through that so fast i got caught off guard. still have all my shares. that said, i was expecting 8c (from a .006 cost basis) in a year, not two months.
guess i'm staying.
i don't know whether he is currently an officer in the society, but he chaired the meeting when it was in N.J.
he received an award at the meeting in Phoenix in 2004.

for clarification, the ASP meeting is the American Society for Pharmocognosy. It is not a group that has much visibility outside of the field of Natural Products Chemistry, but it attracts many top scientists. Dr. Pandey has been active in the association for many years.
You stated that Pandey is more focused on the sceince than the stock price....yes and no. He is first and formost a chemist, and a quite good one. He is also a businessman and recognizes that the share price needs to be higher to give them leverage. Unfortunately, he has no control when or to what extent Ms. Chassman and her husband dump shares onto the market. Thus he focuses on getting the drug on the market and promotion of Xkem. Stock price will follow once the drug is accepted in the market place.
One thing I do know. He truly believes that Nicosan is an effictive compound against sickle cell disease. He is not a huckster trying to pull a fast one. He is a scientist working bring his baby to market.
good luck to all. short and flip as you see fit, but the future is bright for Xechem.
GS
Do we still need the $8M?
Does XKEM hold any treasury stock that they could sell and fund operations for the forseeable future?
G
my screen says .72
Someone really didn't want it closing at a new high.
Regarding NAFDAC approval, my understanding is that there are two levels of approval. The first is simply a registration allowing the "drug" to be sold in the country. This is essentially analogous to a company being allowed to sell herbal remedies in the US. Essentially it says that the compound is safe to use.
The second is a more comprehensive approval that takes into account clinical data. This level of approval says that the manufacturer can make specific claims as to the indication (SCD) of the compound.
Can anyone else elaborate on this process? My understanding is that the first level is a given for Nicosan, but that the trick is getting the more advanced level of certification.
G
I sold enough to cover my entire investment. Now my shares are free and they are NOT FOR SALE.
see you in 5 years.
