The news article is on Yahoo Finance (I still haven't figured out how to post links).
I agree, Paul is a f...ing coward for running away, but it's time to forget him and his pipe dreams. The wipes might pay off someday, but this company's focus needs to be on cannabis right now. According to reports, Germany is going to legalize this quarter which will be the jackpot for this company and its shareholders.
CBDD needs to get back to what works which has been their lifeblood, cannabis. They need to reassure everyone that they are still one of the fastest growing cannabis companies in Europe (2nd in Switzerland), and they need to do it NOW!!
Paul knows his shit, so maybe we shouldn't sell him short just yet. Paul knows what the hedge funds are looking for, and that is a company selling a scalable product on Amazon where the possibilities can be endless and immediate.
I'm surprised the nay sayers didn't think of the line, "It's a Sham, Wow"! Ha Ha.
As an eternal optimist (one has to be an eternal optimist to be in the OTC), I don't see anything wrong with a side business selling wipes that don't require harsh chemicals. "Sham Wow" and "Scrub Daddy" made hundreds of millions so who knows where this could go. I know that Germany makes the Scrub Daddy with a proprietary product that becomes hard in cold water and soft in warm water, so Germany makes some creative shit.
I just hope CBDD didn't abandon their cannabis operations after 7 or 8 years of building it up. I can't imagine they did.
Big things are happening in the cannabis world. Shorters are trying to squeeze everyone out, but the opposite could happen overnight.
Big things are happening in the cannabis world. Shorters are trying to squeeze everyone out, but the opposite could happen overnight.
Yes, another reason for today's run, a historic passing of the first ever stand alone cannabis bill.
One couldn't say that illegally obtained money couldn't get into the banks for sure, but the banks will only serve legally registered companies in legal states. Most states have legalized cannabis in one form or another yet these legal cannabis companies can't get banking and have to operate all in cash making them victims of robberies and murders. So this is a very good thing for cannabis companies, banks and for states. It is also an important incremental step toward legalization.
Things are happening, historic things in Europe and US.
Legalization in Germany is getting very close, and that will open the floodgates to all of Europe. US reform bill (SAFE Act) will be introduced any day now which is expected to pass in the lame duck session in the next month or two. And most importantly, US de-scheduling (essentially legalizing cannabis) is being worked out and could happen in the next 6 months.
Short traders don't have to cover if the company they are shorting goes BK and then gets delisted.
You're right. Cannabis is growing like crazy. Everyone knows someone who uses cannabis products. Cannabis has been around much longer than big pharma, and is trusted much more than big pharma. People are getting scared to death of using powerful big pharma drugs and only use them as a last resort. Cannabis is the future. If big pharma was smart they would join cannabis and stop fighting it.
Absolutely, and it goes far beyond alcohol, tobacco and even opioids. Everyone now knows about the destructive effects of opioids but few people know about the destructive effects of big pharma's powerful psych drugs. They might have short term benefits but in the long term they fry a person's brain and they are causing the real damage in society including homelessness, violence, suicide and mass shootings. Most mass shooters going back to Columbine (and even earlier) were on big pharma psych drugs. Dozens of law suits have been filed against big pharma regarding the destructive effects of their drugs. Instead of taking responsibility for the destruction they are causing and backing off, big pharma is accelerating forward and attacking anyone and anything that threatens them including cannabis. Big pharma has done everything in their power to stop cannabis including shorting the cannabis sector into the ground, paying off Washington to stop or delay cannabis reform and even paying for the release of false news about cannabis being responsible for the recent mass shootings. It's shameless. Big pharma is full of spineless cowards and criminals and they need to be stopped. Obviously, they do have some usefulness mainly due to their vaccines but they don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts, they would charge $1,000 a vaccine if they could. They need to be forced to back off on their opioids and psych drugs, and allow better options like cannabis to take over. So cannabis isn't just a fun thing for a few stoners, it is essential for the future of society.
Whoaa, .44 Magnum, you're packing some serious heat!
I'm sticking with cannabis too. Not just for the potential profits, but I want to support cannabis as well. Cannabis is helping millions of people and it has the potential to help billions of people. It also is the perfect replacement for big pharma's opioids and psychiatric drugs that are decimating society with addiction, violence, suicide and mass shootings.
Although I'm frustrated (as most people are) I've learned patience from hunting and being in the markets is a lot like hunting. One has to adapt to the game's constant change of behavior and movements. If one has the patience to do that then one can get into good position to bag that big game trophy once it runs into the open.
Thankfully we have several big game trophies just around the corner including US banking reform, and Germany and Mexico legalization. Hopefully they run into the open all at the same time.
Hey, it's not just me, everyone in the cannabis sector wants to shoot something! Also, every married man wants to shoot something too. I don't know which one is more painful, being married or being invested in the cannabis sector.
I almost shot a cougar once, she was trying to break into my apartment.
Lots of cows I'd like to shoot!
The fact is that Germany could easily reform before the US, so today's news of CBDD getting a foothold in Germany is very big news.
Mad is back. Good news, he has upgraded CBDD to DUBIOUS from CAVEAT EMPTOR.
This is what I have been saying for a long time. US reform will affect the entire planet especially Europe. The fact that CBDD does not have any US operations is irrelevant, despite the insistence of some, because the European cannabis stocks will perform just as well as the US stocks as was evidenced on Oct 6.
Good post. Despite the criminal and arbitrary nature of the markets today, they can give as well as take. CBDD is not going under any time soon, so I am going to buy as much as I can at these levels. We have some big catalysts coming in the cannabis sector in the next few months and I don't want to miss out on them. Buy when everyone is afraid, as Warren always says.
It has been a big short game for the last 20 months! It's the biggest short since "The Big Short". The markets no longer follow fundamentals, they follow big industries like the big pharma industry that control Washington, the markets and the media. Big pharma is trying to short cannabis stocks into the ground to starve them of funds. It's highway robbery. CBDD is a perfect example of that. CBDD has lifetime sales of $50-60M yet its stock price is lower that it was 6 years ago before it made a single penny. Let's call it what it is, robbery. It couldn't be more obvious if they robbed shareholders at gunpoint!
$50-60M in sales can't be nothing, it MUST have value!
This is absolutely insane. This is the same price of the stock 6 years ago when it was first born and not even functional. Now the company has $50-60 M in lifetime sales, how can this have no value??
Tilray is holding up pretty well considering the bloodbath in the markets due to inflation and rising rates.
Again, you might want to spend some time checking the markets. Tilray shadows the NASDAQ which has had the biggest sell off in years.
WWII?? Seriously?? By the way, the German soldiers weren't given cannabis. If they were, we wouldn't have a had a war because it would have mellowed them out.
Again, you might want to check the markets. Dow is down 900 points today. You can dismiss and ignore major catalysts that are coming but smart investors won't.
Exactly. Germany's legalization will cause a domino effect and the floodgates will open in Europe, and Tilray is the top player in Europe. Investment always looks forward so this is what investors are looking at.
Marijuana hysteria including "Refer Madness" was in the 1960s, not now. Plenty of medical reports exist regarding the benefits of marijuana. In fact, it is now considered less harmful than tobacco and alcohol.
That will put a smile on his face. In fact, Tilray should send a truck load of weed to the German parliament so they can all enjoy their bunk weed.
Maybe Tilray can smooth things over with him by sending him a lifetime supply of weed.
Again, most of Tilray's product is grown outdoors in Portugal which requires little energy.
I'm still wondering if you think this will change anything. Misunderstandings happen all the time and they get rectified. It's far from a doomsday scenario. In fact, it changes nothing. Tilray is still the top player in Germany and they will still continue to work with Germany to further their legalization process.
You might want to do some research. Cannabis doesn't create problems, it solves problems. Here's an article for you from Above the Law, "Study Further Helps Destigmatize Cannabis Use."
You really think this is a big deal? It changes nothing, and it will get rectified. You can obsess on it if you want to, but smart investors are focusing on the legalization process in Germany where Tilray is the top player.
Big pharma psyche drugs and opiods (and many of their other drugs) cause addiction, suicide, violence, psychosis and mass shooters. Not cannabis. That's a fact, and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
What happens is people on big pharma drugs turn to cannabis for help, then big pharma tries to deflect the blame by pinning it on cannabis. It's pathetic and despicable, but it won't work.
A minor misunderstanding is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that Germany is preparing for legalization and has been and will continue to consult with Tilray, their biggest cannabis player.
Again, we don't know these things. What we do know is that the ownership of Tilray is up 219%.
We don't know those things. What we do know is that ownership of Tilray is up 219%.
There are many reasons why ownership of Tilray is up. The pps has been going down for 20 months. Tilray has the most volume of any cannabis company (volume is critical for traders). Several major catalysts are expected in the coming months. In fact, it could happen any day. Biden could sign an executive order de-scheduling cannabis any time he wants. That would trigger the mother of all runs. Smart investors don't want to miss out on that and neither do I.
