Makes no sense. Anyone in Florida who wants a card can get one. The money the state could get from tourists would be the states largest revenue source! So he is really only protecting anti-cannibas voters in other states!
It has nothing to do with Politics, Nostradamus, or the Aztec Prophecy or whatever.........can't we just discuss Trulieve and it's potential?
I just saw a book today about Nathan Bedford Forest.......while Sherman did actually succeed in doing that, it was a quote from the other side. A great job, looking forward to great earnings on Monday!
I am shocked by how much things that Burnette was not Charged With or Convicted Of keep being discussed. His biggest "crimes" are things that he was not ever convicted of............like the bribe to get the Hotel property protected from competition........keeps being mentioned but there is NO conviction. The law change put forward by the Nursery owners is old news, Burnette was not even around then. That wheelers and dealers try to get laws shaped in their benefit.......please, tell me that does not happen! It couldnt be true, could it?
They keep shaping it that way because what he was convicted of was telling the undercover agents to pay someone else - a consulting firm - to accomplish their goals. He was not in any way connected to the money. The charges are so contrived and the reporting from Tallahassee is so slanted it is just ridiculous. I have to suppose that the reporting is such as the ultimate goal is to connect Trulieve to Burnette. Hardball being played by the competition.
Speaking of the East.......anyone have any ideas on how Trulieve can get going in New York? It seems the only power plays is to buy one of the original 10.......they get to manufacture and retail with 8 stores instead of only 4. Goodness Growth just made a deal with Industrial Properties for a 50 (+/-) million dollar expansion of their grow/process facility.......they have a 130 million dollar market cap. Would they be a target? Does anyone have the opinion that Trulieve should just skip out on what will be a larger market than Florida?
If Trulieve is thinking about floating $350,000,000 in bonds, how does that affect the stock?
I was posting about the trial when others were jumping my a** about it.......but........it is over now. The only thing that I thought was a risk was the public reaction in Florida. Now, it is clear, that the customer base in Florida has not reacted negatively. In other words, it is a non issue. If the Feds took me to a strip bar and plied me with booze and b**bs who knows what bs I might say after a couple of thousand of dollars worth. The real issue now is how will Trulieve pull off the national strategy, get Harvest absorbed and then move on to the next deal.
Planet 13 made 55 million dollar prediction of Rec coming to Florida. Orlando mega store is on the way!
I have been printing the OMMU totals for about a year. I am sure someone will say that only a 5% increase in flower is really bad! But to increase while some are predicting doom is pretty impressive. Flower 40,430 ozs, mgs THC 99,618,512 and CBD 1,602,650. With less than 25% of the stores, they have well over 50% of Florida flower (total 75,241) sales.
Burnette's crime.........telling con artists saying they were planning to invest 40 million dollars in massive real estate deals that giving a lobbyist firm 4 checks for $10,000 to do what all lobbyist firms do, try to get rules passed benefiting those that pay them. Was the fact that Maddox benefited from the firm held by his girl friend Burnette's responsibility? Did the FBI show that somehow Burnette got some of that money? So how much did the FBI waste on expenses.......(we know they spent $7500. at a strip bar)? That is Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars - 3/4 of one of the payments of 10k. The best way to look at the trial is from Channel 7. I think the verdict will be overturned later.
The only benefit of Georgia is establishing a presence. Very few patients will qualify for the one product, the low thc oil. I doubt anyone will make a lot of money fast. Why would any of the questions from Florida have anything to do with Georgia?
Sales in Florida are still fine. Friends who are locals have no concern regarding shopping at Trulieve. The Tallahassee paper seems to have a grudge against Burnette and perhaps Trulieve, politics I guess. Look at well known Florida politicians,it is obviously a wacky (and with a long, well deserved, reputation...often corrupt) place. In Georgia they hired the son of the Speaker of the House to represent them, and they got the win, isn't that the way of politics?
Lots happening this week. upward movement seems likely.

The Class One License is one of two big ones and allows up to 100,000 sq ft of grow! They needed this, particularly now!
Class One!
Ga production win!!!!!
You can follow here. It looks like the Feds had to do multiple tries at hooking him into the scheme. And it looks complicated. Jury has already gone from 14 to 12.........mistrial is now possible with covid raging in the panhandle.

I am hoping for good news in Georgia today!
From a posting on another site, it looks like the Georgia decisions come on Saturday. It would be a great rally point for the stock! Hope they are chosen, otherwise, they will have to buy their way in! It is a very restricted oil program, but Georgia is mandatory for the hub concept!
Thanks for the update. It will be a month before this circus ends.
I don't know what to think about changes! Does anyone have any opinions or insight?

The numbers are great news. The real news is that Trulieve is getting sucked into the scandal from Gaetz and 2018. Certainly their stellar reputation is going to be hurt. Will it go any further than that? Cabos posted the Tallahassee news story, which you can search out. I was surprised that no one commented at all. I worry that this could be a very deep hole to climb out of.
In my opinion, in the long run it will be a bargain. 20 million cash from the Florida profits, plus 40 in stock dilution.
Would any of you be willing to offer your best guess of publicly traded companies that Trulieve might be interested in acquiring? A guess of course, I look at Vireo Health because the markets that they are in seem to fit with where Trulieve is (and Isn't). They do not seem to fit with the other MSO's very well as they have many overlaps. I have read that some private companies may be more likely to be acquisition targets, but that is something else all together. Just wondering if anyone out there is reading the tea leaves (or cannibas leaves) and wants to throw out any guess. Mine of course is a guess and while I have some funds in the market have no qualifications to offer anyone any advice!
Some of you know the story of the "Quincey Millionaires" where the banker in the tiny Florida town, prosperous from growing Shade Tobacco for cigars, noticed, during the early days of the 20th Century, that folks would spend their last nickel on a Coca-Cola. He encouraged everyone he knew, even loaning them the funds from the bank, to buy their Stock. Ending with a large group of very wealthy people!
Will the luck of Quincy strike again with Trulieve? I am in Georgia so have passed through Quincy a few times heading to the beach............and have been investing since the first public offering. While lightening doesn't always strike twice in the same place, I am a big believer in Trulieve!
(They also look good from a not so fanciful analysis of their business model!)
Doesn't it seem likely a Serruya will get the single board seat assigned to Liberty?
Thanks for the answers. I just was wondering could it be possible to be able to see accounting changes, etc that might be hints of future things to come! I suspect Trulieve may make a big move while they still can. Wish I held more, the pressure to diversify kept me from just focusing on them!
Is anyone planning to go to the virtual meeting and cast your vote in person? It gives the opportunity to ask questions! You just have to register info is on the ballot downloads.
Would any company Trul might acquire have to be reporting under US standards to be ready for uplisting?
Since I view Aphria as essentially absorbing Tilray, I am posting the following question here. Why is Tilray stock showing over 30% short? Appearances suggest buying into Aphria now is the best play to get the most value in the future merged company. But if Tilray is expected to reduce in value (30% is a pretty strong projection) the question is raised as to whether now is the time to add shares. Hope some of you can jump in with your opinions!
If you calculate the amount of dilution that would be required for LHS to enter all the markets and build the infrastructure that AYR has - moving into MSO status, becoming part of AYR does not sound like that bad of a deal. If you stay with them you are still working with the value that LHS built, but with the addition of the other states. Regardless, I will not ever get involved with any company where the Serruya clan has control.
I read the s-1. It is a required filing to allow founders the sell some of their holdings. No dilution. It is only required because of uplisting. My best understanding, no claim to be an expert.
I like Sweetwater beers, but my opinion of the one that tastes like pot is that it is kind of stupid. That being said, now that the brewer can come clean about the name being 420 (for years they had a cover story about the time and date of their first homebrew) they do offer an interesting US connection for Aphria. For some years ahead, we will not have full legalization but I expect that decriminalization will be the norm. But, that said, I did add to my Aphria stock, as a big player is likely once (and if) full legalization and interstate commerce happens. Maybe there is a way for other states to market a no alcohol Sweetwater THC drink product through licensing? Now when I buy a 12 pack of their IPA or 420 I can think of myself as "one of the owners"!
Does anyone know if the Fire and Flower purchase of Friendly Stranger is profitable for Vivo?
We need decriminalization not legalization.....I think full legal means the biggies like Miller/Coors or RJR will move in and run the show on a National level. Little guys will get either sucked into the system or squashed like a bug on the window. If the states keep control individually it gives craft producers and smaller businesses a chance. States should be able to decide if importing from other states is OK. Between now and Nov 15 I think we will see incredible numbers from Trulieve. They will be good either way in regards to the election, but will be astronomical if those intending to decriminalize the plant prevail.
Clearly all of the new cash means even more expansion. Yes, that means risk, but they have always said that growth was in the future. Looking to add as soon as funds get into my trading accounts.
Whatever. How do restaurants sell food when you can make it at home, cheaper.
Replying to my own message as upon reading the MSOS prospectus, the fund only invests in stocks ......... in compliance with Federal Law........ so they will not hold any stocks in Tru or any other of the Multi State Operators! Unless I misunderstand the prospectus.
Thanks for the feedback!
