Burnette's crime.........telling con artists saying they were planning to invest 40 million dollars in massive real estate deals that giving a lobbyist firm 4 checks for $10,000 to do what all lobbyist firms do, try to get rules passed benefiting those that pay them. Was the fact that Maddox benefited from the firm held by his girl friend Burnette's responsibility? Did the FBI show that somehow Burnette got some of that money? So how much did the FBI waste on expenses.......(we know they spent $7500. at a strip bar)? That is Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars - 3/4 of one of the payments of 10k. The best way to look at the trial is from Channel 7. I think the verdict will be overturned later.
