Ive been asking this question for years.
Yet, we have seen him engaged in many PR aspects of BMG and institutions..
We are in a weird quagmire of watching this all happen with our CEO as center of world attention..
And yet at our ASHM not even a "hello, I am committed to this company and am continuing to pursue the goal of making BMG and LQMT a success"... and then he could simply not answer questions or say he won't answer any questions... yet here we are..
This could be most logical...
CCP was also a integral part of this, imo.
My post was deleted sayin this in very succint words.
Li and CCP bought BMG market away from USA and into their master plan for $64 million. If you believe the investment into Eontec only 18 months later is just a coincidence well...
And they could care less about any of us. Clearly demonstrated on the annual shareholder call.
All the research on this board and the Reddit board, specifically by Josh, is true. Its just that there is a cunning aspect to how business works.
It worked flawlessly for Li/CCP - $64m to buy the BMG world market and integrate it into China.
However it was/is written, there was/is a reason... And only Li and his investors(CCP Investment Fund) know what it is..
The writing was on the wall when only after 18months, CCP invested in Eontec(the company that basically wrote the agreement).
Un-Sportsman like behavior actually..
the only brightspot was he did not and would not answer the Apple question directly..
He guided the answer to the agreement..
Usually questions arise from questions answered...
I wanted to ask why no royalties... is it because we aren't importing the Huawei hinge?
I also wanted to know why we haven't heard from Li... and he couldn't join..
but by time i could figure out how to vote on two different sites/accounts, the Q/A was over...the moderator didn't even know what to say on way out as it happened so fast.. management didn't even say "lets wait a minute to gather any other questions"... thats usually how business folks do it.. they know everyone is trying to figure out the platform, etc...
He was as nervous as can be...
He was so cautious with his answer...
he did take the Apple question and did the lawyer thing: point to the agreement.
Same. I was trying to vote between two sites and it wasn't working. The Q/A was way way to quick. They clearly wanted to get in and get out.
The only thing I would say is he avoided the Apple question, clearly.
I tried to ask a question - had two different accounts to vote on and was going back and forth. Submitted it but after the 2 questions were asked. Thought I would have had more time. They shut it down real quick. He was nervous.
Annual Meeting:
1. No Li
2. Product being used
3. No LQMT license revenue.
4. They get to keep their high paying jobs
5. It was 16 minutes long with 2 questions.
This was simply protocol to stay in compliance.
Good luck.
So, at this juncture:
1. the market isn't buying the bullish story
2. the market continues to discount the IP story
3. the triangle may have shifted in shape - moving timeframe out to August
4. Lets hope Li shows up to QSHM(Quintennial Shareholder Meeting) and has something tangible to say that alleviates #2(Apple, PLA outcomes, etc) - all the things that have the price at $0.08 or $72m market cap(for a game changing technology)
5. There has been a large seller that has unloaded millions and millions of shares..
Thats a big stretch.
The LM Die Cast machines are part of LQMT?
You mean these?
https://www.lk.world/en/industry_detail.php?id=16
And you are saying these are designed for LQMT BMG? I was under the impression this was/is a whole different mfg method(formula most specifically and Eontec machine tech which isn't anything related to LQMT).
LK went from $1 to $11 in 5 months... I would assume we would have seen this show up in our stock price, no?
Nowhere is LK Machinery mentioned in the PLA - I am under the assumption this is Li's Maze benefiting indirectly and his roll out of interest in multiple business lines.
And Im not cynical... Im a realist... there is a ton of risk emerging in LQMT USA as many USA firms have formed for market share such as 3d printing..
Much of the USA market will want to deal with USA firms...
Who knows anymore and what value it has.
Most of the IP simply is unattainable for LQMT to advance its business. Were relying on others way to much in our business model.
Without Apple, we are DOA. Thats not a good business model at this point. I keep seeing "we are working with" in the 10q - almost for like 5 years now and not one contract except a small dental.
At some point, you have to wonder if the business is viable outside of Apples interest. Cause all this "interest" and great little PR nuggets yet...
And Eontec(along with Chinese Institutions) had 5yrs to bring in these ideas into their RD department... Thats worth $63 million alone
And remember, the PLA expired. Eontec can go do whatever it wants now...
All the IP mentally downloaded into the institutions..
let us not forget, LQMT R&D is nil. While this technology is here today, Eontec continues to develop new IP.
Apple could well be using an Eontec IP in the future..
Trust is earned - I don't see much from Apple or Eontec(Li) at this juncture..
I agree, as time moves on this is the case. There are still large advantages for the materials and IP - a company like Engel/Materion would still have a vested interest, imo.
Oh, an military is out too. Basically we can chase dental tools.
We have no clue that Apple has spent 300-500 million on BMG. And the timing was 3-5yrs, that would make it 2017.
We are 4-5yrs late already - does that mean they spent 1billion?
Lets not drift with the sea too much here... but stay on shore..
Lets be honest with ourselves, everything about the PLA and maze is a conflict of interest..
I could see it - however, it fades with time. Back before Li I always thought Engel or Materion would swoop in with a JV.
Ive always believed LQMT is ripe for someone to come in an tender it...
see DDD today for reference
There are many 10x'ers or more in the new mfg space such as 3d.
LQMT isn't the only game in town..
https://schrts.co/zEqkTYwe
In terms of energy, and as a believer in renewables, much of the traditional space has been left behind for crumb value..
Gas
Nuclear
Coal
Solar(every move higher in energy prices creates multiplier effect here)
Id go look at their revenues...
Regardless how long it takes, the revenue with stringent management can create value...
Not $50k in revenue but $200m and such (DDD)
These 3d printing companies have diversification - graphene, metal, plastic, etc..
Energy is the place to be - all things energy.
I am thinking of DM for a relatable investment to LQMT.
LQMT has very little tangible product anymore.
DM has created a suite of services and products.
The USA mfg of 3d printing will be more likely to gain market share in USA than LQMT via some convoluted PLA.
LQMT IP has been way too absorbed in the Maze and no one to protect our interests..
USA mfg will be first in line - I understand LQMT material is superior in certain ways but the market for 3d printed products is bigger..
I feel as though DM and USA companies will be more willing to communicate and lead effectively.
LQMT's ability to compete is losing steam...
The level of competition and ability to mfg in USA has become real.
At this juncture, Apple is just noise - even if they get an apple contract, I doubt Li is thinking about LQMT USA but rather his vested interest in the Maze and keeping CCP happy. Li could care less about shareholders - its clearly been conveyed.
Going to seriously think about liquidating shares.. so many other opportunities on market for 10x...
The potential..
Is truly unknown anymore... confusion creates problems...
I wouldn't expect anything of great reveal...imo..
The bottom line is LQMT as an investment has resulted in complete negative yield for its entire existence.
There isn't anyway around that fact..
Will be interesting what he says at that point...
Can you imagine if LI doesn't show his face?
Most likely. If Li doesn't show his face, it will send a even more clear message.
The CCP does not care about you and could likely care less what happens to LQMT USA.
These are all questions that are asked/answered by a CEO and/or addressed quarterly/yearly on a CC, however...
Why isn't the cash being used for R&D?
Without advancing the R&D, Li is starving LQMT USA of any advances. And all the advances stay in China(mental impressionism and general IP advances)
The best solution, imo, is a USA SPAC, and/or 3d printing firm, to come in and buy the tech(LQMT), enforce the PLA, and MTA with Apple, with more caution and stringency.
This bird feeder is currently in the hands of a bear.
